With all of the “new tech” it would be nice if the projectile bubble was mobile.

I don’t know what tier you play at but I queue solo and have many times fought along and against tarcis, toker, backpack, oe, caed, acandis when they 2-3 party queue.

This made me laugh really hard. This does not mean you’re good.. At all… You do realize that this system will take people with low MMR and place them on a team with high MMR players? This is done in order to tank their overall MMR, so that matchmaking can find them “even” matches.

Very fun video to watch. Not a big GvG fan, but that was very entertaining.

There are a lot of factors that play into this. Guard stacks, food, ascended gear, bloodlust. All of these things can stack up and give you crazy high stats. Another thing is that certain thief abilities are nerfed in sPvP. For example, Cloak and Dagger does significantly less damage in sPvP than it does in WvW / PvE.

Combine higher stats with stronger versions of skills and you have huge burst.

What would you have to sacrifice in HoT? You automatically get the full 6 points if you choose the traitline. If you decide to run D/P – Shortbow, I cant see taking anything other than Deadly arts, trickery, and shadow arts. Basically you need to decide between venomous aura and shadows rejuv.

I think there is some confusion. Assuming you take shadows arts, would sharing our basalisk venom be more beneficial than rejuvenation from stealth? I don’t mean taking a whole bar of venoms.

Currently we do not know what our elite specialization will be. However, if we play with the talent calculator, it seems that Deadly Arts, Trickery, and Shadow arts will be the new bread and butter for D/P thieves. The GM traits for shadow arts are: Cloaked in Shadows (blind on stealth), Shadow’s Rejuv (healing while stealthed), And Venomous Aura (Share venoms and 20% cooldown reduction)

Healing while stealthed would be nice and all, but we can live without it. Blind on stealth is meh for a GM trait. Which leaves Venomshare.

Venomous Aura would make our basilisk venom on a 32second cooldown and share it with nearby friendlies.

I think that this would be awesome in teamfights.

Engi can jump shot from a rock onto the wall. Seemingly the only way to get this fixed is to have it abused more. So while we’re at it, someone make a tutorial video.

Huh? I drop squishes with ease. And because of the weakness on poison, I can go toe to toe with warriors. Yeah PS doesn’t have the crazy burst of CS, but you live longer.

When I mained guardian, I was exited about patches and couldnt wait for them. One day I decided to learn thief and I fell in love. However, my love quickly turned to horror! Patch after patch I saw my precious thief clipped of her wings. And the community… Talk about kicking someone while they’re down.. Nerf after nerf the community cheers and laughs about seeing the thief being hit even harder in times to come.

Meta battle isn’t the issue. Let’s look at guardian since that the class that you mentioned.

Currently most guardians are meditation, but why?

Bunker Guardian: Great at holding nodes / can’t kill kitten. In a meta that favors mobility and quickly winning skirmishes, bunker guardian falls behind! They are slow and can hardly do more damage than a healing signet regenerates passively.

Condi Guardian: Great 1v1 potential, kinda squishy, TERRIBLE cleave, not great in a team fight. Not only that, but burn is guardians source of damage in this build. With a lack of condies to cover burn, it is easily cleansed.

Hammer/Staff DPS: This was at once a popular build. However, it lacks condi cleanse and it’s sustain ( AH) only really exist during team fights. 1v1 it’s very easy to kill. Plus it’s DPS is “bruiser” like, without the sustain of a bruiser.

Spirit Guardian: LOL

Medi Guardian: DPS? Check Sustain? Check Condi Clease? Check
-Cleave? Check Team Support? Check

After looking at those option, would you rather take the build that offers it all or the ones that fall behind in different areas?

I think the choice would be obvious.

You bring up some good points. What abilities do you think would work with our steal trait?

After looking at the Chronomancer, Dragonhunter, and Reaper, it’s clear that the new F1 abilities are meant to be useful with current f1 traits. So we would want an ability that works with mug, slight of, hand bountiful thief, etc etc.

I began to wonder what type of ability would work well with these. What I came up with is.. “Swap.”

Swap would work something like this:

“Swap locations with the targeted foe.”

I think that this ability would work great with current traits as well as provide some interesting utility.

Ranger sniping your team from a ledge? Swap!
Want to pull an enemy to your team? Swap!

Swap would follow shadowstep rules, so there would need to be a valid path etc.
There would also be risk to using this, such as accidently plopping yourself into the enemy teams area.

I’ll probably add more ideas to this when I’m not at work, but I wanted to post this to see what others think.

I haven’t really kept up with the news cuz I was busy irl past months. Did they say anything about you having to trait for dragonhunter to equip longbow or can the “normal” guardian with for example radiance, valor and virtues use longbow aswell?

Oh it’s by far the cheesiest zerker build in the game with high armor, instant damage and ports (JI & SC), powerful condi clears, group stability and multiple self heals as well as very strong CC with hammer – all this in one build.

not really hard to beat. Bait out renewed focus and shelter. After that he’s just a dlck with a hammer.

Honestly, you could walk into silverwaste with 0/0/0/0/0 as traits and still be fine. Play what’s fun to you in open world PvE. It’s way too casual to care about builds.

A year ago people flamed me for playing medi. It was “trash tier” and I was a scrub for not playing AH bunker. Now people call it cheese and OP. The PvP community in this game is hilarious.

I hope they put a giant “dragonhunter” watermark across the screen of everyone who started a thread.

This is the one I want to try. In this build I sacrifice dmg modifiers for condi clear, stability, crowd control, and of course the new bow.

Also, I’m not just talking about Dragonhunter in preticular. Damage in general is getting out of control. PvP is becoming more and more instagib.

I do think the should be strong, but on classes like thief or Mesmer, it seems ridiculous. They would literally be in downstate within two seconds of landing on a trap.
