I loved the voice so much, it really made the character!

I didn’t try the clock tower, because I knew it wouldn’t be my thing- but I think it was an awesome experience for the people who could pull it off.

I managed the MK’s dungeon, but it took finding a group that wouldn’t give me grief about falliing behind and needing rezed (and, daaannngg, are some people nasty…)- I have trouble with jumping puzzles on the best of days, add in being freaked by bottomless drops and stuck in a wrist brace, and it was a challenge for me.

I would really like GW2 to change up what they offer as puzzles in general- the MK pages were a good example because you had riddles to solve. Not everything called a puzzle has to include jumping

I just got Cabalist pants and top from MKL chests… now I’m going to have to make a human Elementalist to wear them (and get her up to L 45…)

I’m in ANet’s time zone, so I’m not affected, but I know a bunch of people who have no power, and aren’t able to play any of Act 4 (and had limited access to Act 3), and they are sad Mad King subjects.

I know the event was scheduled to end tomorrow afternoon, but I think it would be an awesome gesture to extend the festivities out to Saturday (at least), to give the people who’ve been smacked upside the head by Sandy a chance to enjoy their King’s mayhem.

I think even if it was a limited run on the weekend, just some of the basic stuff, would be really nice to do.

Yeah, I had it done in time, but no good pictures. I am bummed. However, I think I have perfected making baby quaggans, so I expect some of those to go up in my shop soon.

Well, I got mine all done… and then my camera refused to work. I am not ashamed to admit I cried.

Yes! I think the discussion on how they reproduce or if they have visible mammaries or not (while kinda fascinating) completely bypasses the discussion about having armor that is feminine for Asuran women.

It has gotten worse for me today, now I get the error pop-up box, but when I hit ok, it goes to a blank black screen, with the gold arrow pointer, and the game music playing. I’ve had to force close twice, and the third time let it sit for about 15 minutes, and it went to the log-in window on its own

Yes, please. I don’t want it skimpy, or with noticeable cups on the tops, there’s no need for that, and it would look SILLY. But the armor should have something feminine to it. You can’t say lady Asura don’t do feminine, the have bows in their hair, for Alchemy’s sake.

This just started for me today, after downloading the 10/7 patch. Have not had any problems previously since head start, nothing about my configuration with my computer or my router has changed. Is happening every 5-10 minutes on all characters. Is also especially prone to happening when I mine something- but not any of the other gathering. (o.O?)

Still bugged on Tarnished Coast

While you can plug in keybinds for ‘swim up’ and ‘swim down’, those only work once you are actually underwater, the keybind for ‘swim down’ will not make you go from swimming on the surface to swimming underwater.

Right now the only ways to go underwater are to jump in from a higher point (not always available), or adjust your camera angle and move forward; which is lots of busy work, especially a pain when something is attacking you from underwater (or one of your underwater skills knocks you back to the surface!) , and then you have to put everything back when you get out of the water.

It would be a huge help if there could be a keybind that specifically covered the dive from surface swimming to underwater swimming. I was honestly surprised there wasn’t one… I thought I was just being oblivious to where to set the bind.

I bound swim down to “X” but IIRC it doesn’t work on the initial change from surface swimming to underwater swimming.

I have page up/down keybound for swimming, but you’re right, it doesn’t work on the transition from surface to underwater, which is what I was going for. Hmm, this might be worth putting in suggestions.

giggle this reminds me of the filter in another game that kept bleeping manuscript.

OK, I may just being the most oblivious gamer in the universe atm, but is there any way to dive underwater that isn’t the two part ‘move your camera to point down, and then move forward’? I dislike having to fuss my camera all over to get in and out of the water :/

Seriously, if people are saying ‘X is making me physically ill’(without being ironic or snarky), then it is making them ill. Someone who isn’t a professional coming along and saying they are wrong is pretty rude.

And yes, nausea is a health issue, as in ‘my physical well being is compromised’. It may not be a long-lasting issue requiring medical attention, but barfing is certainly not a state of normal health.

I’m tossing my hat in with the OP. The FoV can trigger extreme nausea for me, even to the ‘need to take anti-nausea meds and lay down’ point. (Here’s a RL example for you- walking between tall library bookshelves does the same thing) Especially when moving through tunnels or cozy spaces, I can get so disoriented, my play goes downhill, fast. I’ve gotten yelled at about it- why am I just standing there, target something you moron, that sort of frost bat guano.

I don’t know, technically, if it is related, but the way the camera hops around on slopes and hills does it too… One second I’m looking straight ahead, then at the ground, then at the sky. I wish it would remain fixed based on where my alt’s head is, not the relationship to the ground.

Yeah, there’s a big difference between using it because that’s the letter sound that goes in the name (or someone snagged your name!), and using it because it looks cool.

Hmmm, with the letters people are saying made it through, it looks like the criteria might be ISO Latin Aphabet plus some diacritics. I’d ask if anyone wants to test this and make a list… but there’s a lot of diacritics o.O

That was my problem with one of my alts- it wouldn’t let me type the nifty little ‘thorn’ character (which, admittedly, is only used in Iceland…), so my Norn has a badly transliterated name, instead.

But, I am on a NA server, and I have seen accented characters in names. So it isn’t a myth. I wonder if they are creating the character on an EU server, and then world swapping?

There’s actually nothing in that policy that addresses accented English letters, just making an offensive or inappropriate name.

There are perfectly valid reasons someone could want to use an accented letter in a name, letters like ñ or ü, but when making a character on a NA server, it will, supposedly, not let you use any non-English letters. So when we see someone running by who is using one of those characters, we’re curious how they got it to work.

Yes, please. My poor bear gets all embarrassed when he I swap him out with my eagle, and he’s named ‘Featherhead". Bears with bruised egos just don’t fight as well.

Here’s the scenario- I get an armor drop, I put it on, slap some goodies in the unused slot, and then go to the HoM and pick up the Heritage armor skins… a while later, I get an armor drop with better stats, so I put it on and go to salvage the rune off the Heritage I was just wearing and… nada. Augh! Why? If I hadn’t put the skin on it it would have just been any old armor. I get why it becomes soulbound, but why can’t I get the stuff I put on back off?

Gave my Norn Mesmer the heritage gloves, and they don’t show on most of her hand, just the fingertips and some near the wrist.

Also, on the Light Heritage Armor, if you dye it light colours, you can very clearly see red seams.

My poor Norn seems to have the most clipping issues- either her weapons or her tush keep poking through her coat (Heritage) or skirt (Velvet)

I’d like to see more things in the chest that a)do something gameplay wise and b)can’t be bought in the gem store- that increases the incentive to open them.

I like the tonics(Yay! I’m an oooze!), but there doesn’t seem to be any reward for using them, like there was in GW1 (did I miss that somewhere?)

Edited to Add: I like the idea of chests having a change to drop gems, or a niftyrare crafting ingredient like ectos

A one time use item that you can drop, even in a contested area, so if you die/fall off the ledge/etc you can get back to where you were without having to run long distances or start all over again.

This shouldn’t be a problem, because the game specs you down to the level of the area. So you can take your level 80 alt into a starter area, and you’ll be running a starting level character.

Here’s what I’d like… a designated RP server(s) with a reasonable one-time fee that grants access and opens up a that-server-only character slot (with the option to buy more, just like we have now).

Because RP is a lot more fun when you know all the people around you are in character, too!

Mind you, this would need to have a clear way for reporting people who were not playing along, but it would be really nice.

I think Yukishiro has a good solution for that, give Vistas their own reward, maybe something that accumulates, a bit like the HoM rewards did. And getting all of them done should have a great reward, but you wouldn’t be SOL for the map if there were ones you can’t manage.

I wouldn’t hold your breath- disabled players having trouble with Vistas, and therefore 100% map completion, came up multiple times during beta, and they basically got ripped apart for wanting to ‘dumb down’ the game. Even when people tried to say they didn’t want to get rid of Vistas, just not have them a map completion requirement, they got treated like dirt.

It would be really helpful if not only did it tell you what level your character is, but also what their next personal story mish is, and what level it calls for. Maybe in the mouseover with the name? I tend to level my characters in chunks based on story elements, and not having to log in and out to figure out which alt is where would be nice

New since the 10/1 patch: when my illusions poof, the weapon is left floating in midair for a good 10 seconds or more.

I sent in a bug ticket, but I wanted to see if anyone else was having this issue. As I’m killing the waves of Risen in “Flower of Death”, I’m getting the “This content is temporarily disabled…” message over and over.

I get that it is part of the anti-farming measures, but having it during PS seems broken

I set level goals, get all my alts to 15…25…30… etc. I sort of randomly cycle through them, stopping one when it gets to that goal, until they’re all there- then I start over again for the next goal. It works pretty well. I only have one of my alts doing any major crafting, too, so I don’t get lost on who’s doing what.
