Spider queen’s primary mechanic is to immobilize players in a poison AoE. Without the AoE when the party stacks there’s not a whole lot left. I’d say that makes the boss far less effective when stacked. It’s a loophole in her AI.

Or not. When ranging you do not get hit by the bite melee attack, which only applies 6 stacks of bleeding and weakness…

I can pay for one (preferably not more) gem store skin and I have some transmutation crystals left so it’s up to you and how good a skin you can make :p

I’d say that AC isn’t really that hard a dungeon if you take your time and learn the encounters one by one.

Try to go for a 100% PUG experience run where you won’t stack but will still melee so as to check the tells for the attacks and learn to dodge them

In the end, it’s doable for a lvl 35 stuffed with greens and without trinkets. I sold legit runs on a lvl 34 mesmer (helped by 2 lvl 35 warriors : one in blues and one in TV gear :’( )

Could someone try the following :
- Pit fighter/Splint/Barbaric shoulders
- Fur Boobs/named top (my old one, just saying)
- Phalanx gloves
- Phalanx skirt
- Phalanx shoes (for high heels, anyone got other ones ?)

I feel like the pit fighter shoulders, shoes and gloves look too cheap/plain.

BTW, dies wise : I’d go for gold/white + blueish/purplesih to match my current weps (fractal sword and mystic focus) and my future leggie (Sunrise).

I mean, the boots fit with the skirt I have as of now, that much is OK. I need help on gloves + shoulders. I’ll cry a bit if I need to part with my T3, but it’s ok i guess ?

From top to toe, I currently have :
- CoF helmet => couldn’t care less
- T3 shoulders => need rework
- Gladiator chest, which I kinda like
- Arah gloves => need rework
- Pit fighter skirt => cute and trendy but could be changed for phalanx
- Draconic boots, could be reworked, but I don’t want the legs to be too covered.

I didn’t have any time to chose the colors, because we HAD to do AC, like, quickly…
As for the shoulders, I find amost all human shoulders ugly which is why I bought the T3 ones…

The zerkers who die are non skilled zerkers who just equipped the gear without thinking about it…

Yesterday I fought the knights in zerker gear without downing, you just need to pay attention :/

There is no anti-melee death zone… You can range safely and only move in when the aoe circle comes up :/

Edit : for Groonz, yes there is a timer to encourage you to be active and not just watch the mobs while pressing AA… My server is the second less populated, and basically the “worst” french server, but we manage to kill at least two knights and bring the last one to 10%…

Take a second and think about this :
- the goal of the event is to kill 3 bosses.
- people are bringing their defensive gear in the event.
- they complain that they can’t complete the event.

??? I fail to understand…

And about condition damage not working, I find it quite logical : I’ve never seen metal bleed, nor even burn to a small fire. Think about the immersion :>

Personally I would love to have more challenging content, but never should it be related to Holy Trinity. I’ve played other mmos, the kind which has the Holy Trinity nd never have I ever felt so bored with a game. There is basically no action in them. One person just builds on maximum damage mitigation through gear, one goes maximum dps and one just checks health bars. I see no fun in this kind of game, for it encourages you to be passive nd to rely on a system to compensate your own skill.

You were talking about RPG at some point, and the kind of RPG where I had the most fun ever were the Castlevania games. You’re supposed to swap skills in between fights, you have to be reactive, learn the bosses tells and move constantly, not just wait and mash your buttons in a given order. An MMO based example of passiveness is the conception of macros. In GW2 you don’t play with macros, because you need to swap weapons, to use the right skill at the right moment, not just program the “heal party member X” chain nor the “fireball-firewall-burning ground-whatever” chain.

This game is considered worldwide to be the best action MMO there is, thanks to the dodge, the self-reliance of every profession (as in the fact tht you don’t have to expect your team-mates to do what you can’t, for you can do everything) and the no CD between AA gameplay. When you compare that with trinity-based games where you stand like a pillar watching your macros do the work while you browse the internet on a second screen, how can you want the latter option ?

My point is : if you want the game to be challenging, keep the good and go forward : take the active gameplay that encourages skill (and zerker, for a good zerker is skilled because there is little room for error) and make more unforgiving bosses, bring even more action by randomizing their skills, reducing their CDs, create multiple way-outs (ways to act to mitigate damage) of OS skills to promote even more action. and give necros cleave

It all comes down to boss AI, again :’(

Well, to give you a example : I’m listed as a General mentor and so is Sandy. But, both of us are from speedclearing guilds and we play the meta.

To me being a General Mentor means being an all-rounder while a meta mentor will focus only on teaching the meta.

Well two bugs come to mind :

- AC P3, after the burrow event in the room with Grast, Tzark sometimes bugs and doesn’t start his sequence. The dungeon thus can’t be completed, as the hole doesn’t open for us to get to the endboss.
- Arah P4, the NPC that transforms into the risen avatar of Lyssa bugs out more than often and doesn’t start her sequence, leading to the boss not appearing. The dungeon can’t be completed under this conditon.

Edit for post above mine: I’d like to try joining those groups that say “experienced only” because it’s a good way to learn the RIGHT way of doing the dungeon, but a lot of those groups are merely after fast loot, not necessarily teaching one or two “fresh” players how to run the dungeon.
