I do not think elementalist should be turned into a pet class it just does not suit them and changes their overall play style.
As for no player ever being downed in two seconds I would suggest this simply suggests to people that glass cannon builds that they can’t have it all. High damage comes at the cost of a very short life.
I do feel this is something that they should have had at launch just because MMO customers are such prime targets for these sort of attempts and so many do not practice safe surfing. I would hope people also take advantage of the additional security measures that are being put in place, but there does need to be a safety net to catch those who do slip through. There does need to be a system that can reimburse in-game items as well as money.
I love the current female charr they are strong and warrior like. Please do not make them furry humans.
I think they do need to put on the lock on transfers and launch their guesting system. That is how the game was always advertised and the sooner the change is made the better. If just to let everyone get used to the idea if not for WvWvW balance.
I am not sure the time requirements would necessarily change but from your examples those are not really playing the game. They are niche activities that people are much more likely to do after playing for a while rather than as soon as they log in. If variety was added I can’t think of anything new that really fits in with just playing as normal.
The PVP tournaments and other additions of that nature, like the dynamic events, jumping puzzles etc. spread throughout the world they mention at the end of the article. The only thing that won’t stay is the event but who knows if it will effect the world even after it is gone.
I think this goes somewhat against the purpose of daily acievements. It was to reward people more for that first period of play each day to try to close the gap slightly between people who wete time limited and those with more time to invest. While perhaps variety is a good idea I am not sure daily achievements should be the place for that.
Oh I never said it would be easy but their our a lot of guilds out there that are succeeding. I think one thing to do is focus on chatting with those that are representing rather than chasing those who aren’t. To give a view from the traditional guild perspective it is like chasing the members who have left rather than those who are still there.
I just do not think there is a change that GW2 can make that will increase the community as that is something you as a guild have to create for yourselves. Making sure the representing feature is clear is one step they can make, I do agree. But extra bonuses erc. while a good thing to add in the future are not going to solve the issue you have.
I haven’t had this issue. I join a guild because of an atmosphere that guild gives. If that guild has chat, discussion and the occasional group being formed for what ever the guild focus is then that is a guild I am going to represent because it adds something noticeable to my experience. A silent guild with no community even if you have all the bonuses in the world I am not going to want to represent you.
I do not think it is that different to previous games just more obvious. I have always been a member of several guilds just now I do have to log to another character just because nothing is going on it a guild.
You just have to focus on providing that community and not just bonuses.

This woukld just give those people who want to compromise accounts a nice list of known passwords to use elsewhere surely?
This is very much a personal preference thing. Some love the freedom that comes with the waypoint system, some do not think it suits their style. The great thing is they are not compulsory. I personally use waypoints very rarely, only on death and travelling to and from cities. This suits my play style without negitvely impacting on other players.
I think this game already gives you this as long as you gear matches the level you are down levelled to you are good to go! I gear depending on the zones I am in, going up through them in as sending level order, and ignore my real level altogether for a nice relaxed levelling experience.
I believe this is already an option, it definitely is in PVE. Try hovering over the minimal and checking out the options that appear on the right hand side.
It appears in the middle of the screen currently and your character punches the air. I have not failed to notice it as of yet.
However, if it is currently bein missed so people aren’t bothering their guild with utterly pointless ‘ding’ messages that is brilliant news!
Oh thank you for your help.
I updated my email, through support, and that all went fine. I now log in with the new email however below my account name at the top right of the forum it displays the old email.
Only a little issue, but a bug all the same so thought I would mention it.
Clicking on an Achievement should bring up more detail instead of dismissing

Definitely a recent section so often I see something appear in the corner but too much else is going on at the time for me to read it.
I will be honest and say I have never checked my backslot so it could indeed be included. I forget it exists most if the time. So 6 or 7 deaths before you start to loose stats, not too bad!
If we are adding a toggle then count me in!
I believe from reading the wiki that it is not until an item is broken that you loose the stats benefits. Basically every time you are defeated an item gets damaged, after all 6 are damaged the next time you are defeated an item breaks. Basically damage seems to be a way to add a small penalty to death but if you keep dying (unless you repair) that penalty increases.
Well those communities you mentioned plus guesting, when it is finally added, will make it easy for you to get a roleplay fix. So do not count them out completely though I do understand what you are saying.
I do think server forums might help but not sure how much of a benefit s general forum would be. I feel it may end up like the guild forum which has a lot of info but it is so difficult to find anything actually relevant to you. With a server forum you could at least find out if others on your home realm were up for a bit of rp.
I try not to repair too often. I found if I repaired every time it was slightly damaged I was spending a lot more than waiting till it was almost gone.
But then how else do I know what I’d out there? I love looking at all the armour it insures me to aim for it on other characters. While I understand the issue with wrong purchases and needs some solution I do not think this is it.
Yes please I have no idea who anyone is when they log onto an alt! Nick names would instantly solve this. Though the normal information should also be available not overwritten as the friends list seems to.
That headband is part of your hairstyle rather that a seperate item so while recolouring should be added I am not sure how easy it would be to change it and other looks that do not start with accessories.
Name changes is a sensible idea not much to add to that one!
Not a fan of race changes there is just too much linked to it.
I believe this is already available in World of Warcraft with their mobile app. I have yet to see the point but the different strokes for different folks!
I think this close to launch they won’t have run out of cash from the game sales just yet!
I have to admit I only read the post in the tracker and did not read the whole thread. Teach me for looking at things without context. You are indeed right it was dungeon related, and correct again saying that is not enough. Let’s hope they understand the issue is not just related to the dungeons, we need more information across the board as your thread highlights.
There is a post in the dev tracker saying an explanation, although ofcourse no numbers, is something they are talking about providing. As to when/if this will arrive I haven’t a clue?
It sounds like you have missed going to a WvWvW map. Make sure you have been to all four.
I think this is an area they will focus on more once other areas of the game ate more developed. People, the vocal majority at least, want a smooth game play experience before they start adding fluff and income earners. I think that is something ArenaNet understand, they are holding back because of the PR issues not because they do not have great ideas.
Yes, it was a real question. Most people enjoy a weapon because of the play style it affords, it just seems very odd to me to pick a favourite based on anything else. So is it simply the appearance of that weapon? Or some childhood memory of wielding a insert weapon here? They both seem very secondary to me.
Say you have a favorite weapon, but said weapon’s skills are pretty bad.
Wat do?
If you do not enjoy the skills the weapon gives than I would query why it is your favourite?
If you hover over the map there should be some controls on the right hand side one of them will set it back to being fixed pointing north.
We all make mistakes from time to time, wether we are well rested or not mis-clicks happen. The idea that mis-click then costs you an awful lot of work with no hope of being able to swap back is just a strange pentalty that achieves nothing.
If you equip the item, or use it for transmutation that it is soul bound for life but if it has just been sat in your bag for 10 minutes what reason is there for not allowing the person to trade it back?
Not adding this seems daft.
I did not pay extra for a distinction in game, I paid for the items that they advertised at the time. I have no interest in other people in the game knowing I have a Rytlock figurine. Lets be blunt why would they care?
Seems right? It is magically turning against the flow of the river.
Yes I noticed this too. Very odd!
I believe you are awarded a skill point every time you complete the bar.
Note baby quaggan plushie and pet. Full grown ones are cute but not as cute as the babies.
I would love some asura related merchandice such as a golem anything!
baby Quaggan underwear.
Is it wrong I would genuinely buy this!
So what about haveing The plush with a bonus mini pet for reallife cash and then have the mini by it self at the gem store?
Hmmm that could work! Good idea.
I guess the point I’m trying to get to is this has been done before, and the world didn’t break apart.
I want a baby quaggen in BOTH worlds (rl / gw2 world) <3
This has been done before in a different setting with very different mechanics. There was only one option in WoW you had to pay in real hard cash because there was no in-game currency like gems. There was also a different outlook on in-game items that could only be purchased with real cash.
Arenanet have to be careful with implementing items you can sololy buy with real cash and not gems, and as discussed the plushie has to be sold for real cash. They have an ethos of items in game being earnable in-game and if they start to deviate at all from that there is a backlash. I believe having the mini come with a real cash only item even if you coul the sell on the mini through the BLTC would be too much of a deviation as it would mean not everyone could buy the mini for the same price or it being reliably in stock in-game.
I’m my level 70 thief, although down levelled to 60 at the moment, only hits in the hundreds not the thousands. Perhaps there is room for one more in the fail club?
I would happily pay the same price as the charr plushie for a baby quaggan one as they are just adorable.
I sadly think a combo package of a real world and in game item would not work. A plushie is real item with real costs attached so the money has to be garunteed, after all they can’t pay their suppliers in gold! The in game mini however, would need to be available in game and as such it would have to sell for in game currency. A shame I know as I very much want both to be added so they can take my money, but I can’t see them being able to be purchased together.
I would adore one of these. I am not a charr fan so do not currently have anythign to snuggle up to in the cold winter nights. A baby quaggan would brighten my winter no end.
Please do consider making this plea a reality!
1. You have away to disengage combat. Kill what ever is attacking you or run away. You should have to deal with the consequences of aggroing something not just map travel.
2/3. These sound very reasonable. I find that I try to hit esc to cancel a skill and that just brings up a menu hiding me while I finish using the skill. Not exactly the effect I was after!
I have to disagree. A legendary is legendary however many hands it requires to pick it up. As a result I believe they should be the same costs. I do understand where the feeling comes from a sense of having to earn twice as much, however you are still getting twice the reward as well. I would simply hate my dagger being the ‘easy’ legendary. The’ not really quite as legendary as those other legendaries’ dagger just is not as appealing to me as the current situation.
This is speaking as a thief using dagger/pistol so the increased costs would most defiantly apply to me.

How do you suggest the information is conveyed if you do not like the current set up?
