What profession and build are we talking about here?
Best to go with a Always On sigil, like 5% Accuracy in the OH weapon.
Stacking sigils provide better bonuses than always on, if you can manage to keep the stacks up and not get downed.
Be more greedy. Use both!
Put on stacking sigil —> always on at full stacks.
Guys… 3 coppers means 3¢, not 3 copper ore. Just look at the tooltip on the screen shot…
Well don’t I look like a horsesbutt. I think they should add pieces after the copper cause I can’t be the only one that thought they were talking about ore.
You mean like… how it already is implemented in the description…?
It’s not an MS only topic, it clearly says “vision” in the thread title. I just want to know why the circles are appearing underground for me.
It got fixed now, but there were 2 threads.
Liadri for Colorblind people
and
Liadri is not for me (or something like this).
The first one was for colorblind people.
The second one was for multiple sclerosis, which is, potentially, a physical handicap.
When merged, the title did not change, so the thread title was Liadri for Colorblind people.
This left the context of the thread in a really awkward spot.
Back on-topic: As a red-green colorblind person, I have to say, at first it was a pain in the rear-end, but then I stopped looking for circles to dodge and figured out I just needed to know where there weren’t circles (as the arena will always shoot in the same order).
I do not have a physical handicap, so I can’t help you there, but I can say that other than panicking, this fight is actually somewhat slow.
Assuming the gold→gem ratio is 30g for 800 gems (which it isn’t, but let’s say it is), you’d need to respec 857 times to pay it off (assuming respecing becomes free).
So unless you just sit there spamming respec to “make it pay itself off”, it’d still be a pretty effective gold sink. Of course, not as good as the other infinite tools (25000 uses for the sickle, 50000 uses for the mining and logging, ~550000 for the salvage).
Why did a moderator merge a colorblind topic with a multiple sclerosis topic…?
Spotting the real one is easy. Targeting isn’t. Trust me, when you have 3 gigantic norn in your face, things get really awkward really fast.
Recovery is available, but it rolls back the entire account to the specific date, can only be used once during the lifetime of your account and only works for stuff lost within the last several months.
That only works on compromised accounts afaik.
Intentionally deleting your character doesnt’ follow that
Yehp, you have to prove that your account was lost and stuff was removed.
She’s a necromancer. Although she does have “illusions”, they are labeled visions which actually ties them more towards the mists than mental magic. Additionally, she uses Necrotic Grasp and permanent Death Shroud.
You can already use Right-Ctrl + Mouse Click to link things.
SoL = kitten out of luck.
You have more than 1 character. Just wait for the next birthday. If that birthday is one month ago, then sucks to be you.
Take your time, watch other players. She has a pattern which is recognizable so you can actually just take your sweet, sweet time in the first part. The second part is kind of panicky at first, but it also becomes relatively easy (as long as you’re not going for 8orb).
Make sure you stay in the same arena at all times, or it will start becoming confusing again.
You’re SoL, but you will eventually get the gift on your newer characters once they reach 1 year of age.
They touched it briefly during last Halloween, but never went further than the initial introduction of the place to people.
My theory is that the people who the wizard brings up to the castle become Elementals which is why there’s an abundance of Elementals in the city.
I would rather play GW2 real content and make dungeons than losing time making dailies and monthlies every day every month.
Then don’t do dailies every day or monthlies every month. It’s that simple.
This is my typical day.
Wake up.
Get on GW2.
Run leftover dungeons while waiting for new day to pop (server reset).
Run Arah P123.
Run CoF P12.
Run CoE P123.
Run AC P13.
Run CM P123.
Run HotW P23.
Run FotM 28/38/48.
Sit in LA.
Complete PvE daily.
I don’t bother with PvP dailies because they’re boring to me.
I don’t bother with Monthlies because finishing the daily (and just, you know, playing the game) completes it for me.
I don’t bother with anything I don’t want to do. If I don’t want to do fractals today, I won’t do fractals today.
Once you understand that you don’t have to do things you don’t want to, the game becomes so much more fun.
Its realty good for wvw players who need space and its a good cost saver in the long run.
Yes, yes it is… but if you want to save money in the long-run, you should buy Crude Salvage Kits as they are 2.1333_c per use, which will save you a lot more than what this one will save you.
Additionally, at the rate of 500 salvages per week, it will take you 21 years of salvaging to break even (with the Copper Salvage Kit).
Crude Salvage Kits have, and will, always be[en] the best at cost-effectiveness. It’s just a matter of sacrificing all that extra inventory space.
Can you use this in s/tPVP?
That’s a very good question, they should have added one that gets used for something like 1-3 glory a pop (or the same one, kitten).
Clones will confuse your enemy if you play as a bulky male norn (largest body, largest height, largest head).
Survivability: Mainhand sword #2 + V + F4.
Damage: Greatsword + F1 + Mainhand sword #2.
Centaur runes aren’t that expensive. If you want a pseudo-cheap alternative, you can run 40% boon duration runes (2x sup water + 2x sup monk + 2x maj monk/water/sanctuary) and go as far down Chaos as is possible with your build (and trait focus if possible), this will give you (near) 100% uptime with just the focus.
My ideal offhands were small and obscure even without this.
Heck, my mainhands are hard to spot…
You know the Tuesday that the event starts?
4 weeks, on that Tuesday is when the event ends.
If the event is a sequel/wrap-up event (second event in the “month”), then it will last for…
2 weeks, on that Tuesday is when the event starts/ends.
Personal storyline. the level 10 quest gives you a key. you just farm that for days
how do you do that? create multiple characters and run level 10…if so thats too much work lol.
Human common warrior, which is the easiest and fastest quest line, and because warriors are stronger at low levels than the others, it makes it even faster. Get the key, store, delete, repeat. I think it can be done in like 15-20mins, but I’ve never done so myself. It’s faster than clearing a zone at least.
I have slow load times, but with twinked out gear, it takes me ~30 minutes. I could probably speed it up by wearing a sword + warhorn in addition to greatsword (sword leap + warhorn swiftness is faster mobility than just a greatsword by itself), but I haven’t done it recently.
They can be used to make gear accountbound and are also useful for alternative characters. I have yet to reach one full stack of them and I main a character. I’m at 180ish because I’ve slowly started to play alts.
They implemented Laurels via monthlies for a reason.
well, good luck farming for keys any other way
@Esya This is why I like beam attacks.
Please keep in mind that you players salvage a lot more than you they gather.
Personal storyline. the level 10 quest gives you a key. you just farm that for days
If it took away the confirmation button when salvaging greens I would probably get it just for that.
It’ll probably get removed with the advent of the Magic Find revamp.
If you had to ask that question, then assume the answer is yes.
You cheated yourself of the challenge.
You did not, however, cheat the game.
Can’t wait for that scroll they’re giving us, its the main purpose of me playing gw2 for the passed year!
A 24 hour booster is pretty good, actually.
I thought you left ‘cause I was infamous, since we were doing all paths. For the entire next path of CoE, I was paranoid about how infamous/notorious I was on the forums. (I know ingame, I’m notorious for being a troll on my server. But that’s intentional and just for laughs.)
Back on topic:
GvG would be really nice, but I wonder what the player limitation would be. If it’s 5v5, they might as well just make it a mode in sPvP and guilds would queue it regularly. If it’s 10v10, WvW guilds would complain. If it’s 20v20, sPvP guilds would complain (because it turns into more of a clumpfest).
And what about us solo [s]players[s/] guilds?
They also still drop in map completion chests. The drop rate of those hasn’t changed at all.
If you really want keys, go make common humans, you can get 2keys/hour.
i know soloing champs are possible and vets are easy but i still have never received and one shots my pet has almost done that but not my ranger
You shouldn’t expect to do mass damage with a single hit if you aren’t specced to do… mass damage with a single hit.
As a Ranger, you have easy access to high nuke (in one hit) setups. Utilize your traits and abilities. I’d give you a build, but I haven’t slept and I really don’t care about getting your Ranger to max dps in a level 5 area.
Just a tip: Greatsword 2 is a really strong attack.
Maybe you should learn the konami code secret password so you, too, can join us in the ranks of the Elite Commando profession.
Your character has progressed. If you hop onto a level 5 and kill a level 5 mob, then kill the level 5 mob with a level 80, you can easily tell the difference.
So unless you’re telling me that at level 1 you were using a blade made of a wet noodle and your armor was actually inverted spikes, then please… tell me you haven’t progressed.
Do you really need to one-shot mobs? Do you think it’ll make the game any better?
If the answer to that question is yes, please gear yourself in Exotics then come back here. If you’re already wearing Exotics, please use a skill other than your heal skill to dispose of an enemy (because when you’re downleveled, you can one-shot enemies).
Now tell me you did that on a Necro so you can Death Shroud as well.
A few players in WvW (with good enough computers to see models) will probably have a little heart attack in the future. I like that.
Before I put gear on. Yes, it’s a Necro.
There is nothing wrong with the implementation of the current time-gating other than the seeming unfairness when looking at it from an extremely casual point of view.
Then you realize that any player playing that casually shouldn’t be bothering with getting something used mainly in high level fractals (which requires dedication, something extreme casual players don’t have).
Sigil of Battle or Sigil of Fire.
No, obtaining the money is the time-gate. You’re just not capable of earning enough money to purchase a Lambo in one day (in this virtual world).
If you went into the dealership with the money, you’d get the Lambo on the spot (just like if I went to the Laurel Merchant with enough Laurels).
Laurels = Money.
Time-gating Laurels = Time-gating Money.Rarity = Cars.
Upgrading rarity = Upgrading cars.
But laurels aren’t the only currency. The currency to obtain Charged Quarz Crystals is Quartz Crystals. I’ve got a stack of Quartz Crystals with which I’m ready to purchase CQCs, but I can’t because they’re only selling me one per day.
I was talking about Ascended vs Exotic.
For the CQC argument, there isn’t really much I can say about this. They implemented this in an unfair way, until you realize that Celestial isn’t actually that great of a set for most professions, so it’s not something you should plan on gearing all your characters with. Most professions cannot utilize Celestial and they’ve released some Celestial weapons (in addition to having all trinkets available as Ascended).
They stated they wouldn’t release Guild Halls at the beginning so that they would be able to improve their game (and the Guild Halls/implementation of it) to become something spectacular.
Comparing it to a car is like saying:
“I have a Tesla, but I want a Lambo.”
The reason why I use this analogy is because it’s not something WITHIN the car, it’s a different tier of car entirely.
That’s fair enough; let’s roll with that analogy. Imagine you have the money to purchase the Lamborghini. You walk into the dealership with a briefcase full of cash eager to make your purchase and the salesman tells you, “No problem. We just have to fill out the paperwork and it’s all yours. You’ll need to initial and sign the dotted line at the bottom of each page of this 30-page contract. Oh, but you’re only allowed to initial and sign one page per day.”

Please no on the grappling hook. It’ll end up being this gimmicky cutscene-ish approach that would destroy all the enjoyment out of something like that.
I’d assume so, but they haven’t been added to the Black Lion Weapon Specialist, so I’m not entirely sure.
I would spend my sprockets towards the end of the event (as I bet the sprockets will drop in price even more).
The “you don’t need it” argument is a tricky one. It’s true, you don’t need ascended gear to play this game. There is no content locked behind a gear check that requires ascended gear. But that doesn’t make it any less desirable. Think of it like a car. You don’t need air conditioning in your car. Your car will still get you from Point A to Point B without a functioning air conditioner. But your quality of life isn’t going to be anywhere near what it could be with a working air conditioner.
Comparing it to a car is like saying:
“I have a Tesla, but I want a Lambo.”
The reason why I use this analogy is because it’s not something WITHIN the car, it’s a different tier of car entirely.
Additionally, Exotics are a very high tier (supposed to be the best, until Ascended came out). Now that Ascended are out, they’re good, but that doesn’t mean that they’re better for all intents and purposes.
I find the cost fine. It makes you actually think about your purchase as opposed to getting one for everyone and their grandmother. I have 9 armorsets. Only 2 of them have the same stats so they can have different runes. Why do I have 9 armorsets? I like to test builds, I like to have different runes, I like to change my playstyle up. If Ascended were easier to obtain, I’d most likely have Ascendeds to go with each of them (probably not, actually, because inventory is starting to become a problem due to other things, but that’s besides the point).
Think about it this way:
Each character is one of your children. (Yes, you now potentially have a lot of children.)
The overall rarity of your trinkets is a car.
Would you get all of your children a Lambo and, if so, how fast would you be able to get it for them all?
Would you get all of your children a Volt and, if so, how fast would you be able to get it for them all?
Would you play favorites and get the child you spend the most time with a Lambo and give the rest Volts, or no car at all?
Would you spend a lot of time getting money to give all your children Lambo’s so they don’t feel left out?
It’s your choice on what car you give your children. Don’t blame others for your choices.
And this is only true if you have 1 character. If you have multiple alts you get to wait an eternity to gear them. I am forced to get gear I never wanted in the first place and yes it is forced. Don’t bother saying you don’t have to get Ascended gear, because new content will at some point be adjusted to ascended gear. I like options and Anet is taking more and more freedom away.
The upleveling and downleveling system is coded for Exotics. The difference between Exotic and Ascended Trinkets is negligible, therefore the system does not need to get tweaked for them.
If you must gear your alts, you will gear your alts via Fractals. If you don’t want to do Fractals, then you don’t need to gear your alts. It’s quite simple, really. As soon as my Thief hit level 80, I put on 2 Ascended Rings. Not because I had excess Laurels (I spent 200 Laurels the day before on Dyes), but because I actually do all the content in the game. Not on a daily basis, but I do touch it all and I have plenty of Ascended Rings. I did not get Ascended Accessories/Backpiece on my Thief as I haven’t touched it since, but that’s besides the point. If I had needed it, I wouldn’t have spent all my Laurels and would have geared it up as soon as I got to 80.
You’re quite literally making an excuse for yourself.
“It’s too hard to get Ascended gear, and even though it’s only 6% more stats I NEED TO GET IT. It’s NOT FAIR THAT I HAVE TO WORK FOR THAT LAST 6% STATS!”
I hope you one day realize that 6% trinket stats is not going to make you die to Liadri. (Note: 6% trinket stats is a little under 2% total stats, including all of your traits and equipment, assuming you’re NOT wearing zerker/condition duration/boon duration/critical damage/healing power/magic find.)
hmmm so far i bought all the unlimited tools, and i want to buy this one more to support Anet then the item itself, but is it even worth it?
2000 items a day for the next 20 years is the break even point
500 items a week for the next 21 years*.
Math is done here.
26s24c for 250 uses assuming you don’t count the price of Mystic Stones (since you get a bunch from AP chests).
That’s about 10.5c per use (a little over).
However, the advantage is that these are Master Salvage Kit uses, not Basic Salvage Kit uses.
ALSO KEEP IN MIND THAT THE INFINITE SALVAGE KIT DOES NOT HAVE A CHANCE AT RETURNING UPGRADES (need confirmation on this, using description as a source)
Has been recreated (I know the dyes aren’t perfect, nor is the skintone, nor is the weapon, but NYEH…)
