Or do high level fractals, while everyone is zerking (not zerging) and dpsing, the support is what holds the group alive.
Turn off the boxes. Go to your map screen, click on the eye and turn off map markers. Run around and explore. Dont’ worry about zone completion till later.
Problem solved.
Also don’t do WvW. It may be a fast way to level, but it’s not a very intuitive or even challenging way of playing.
I got her down to 1 hit left (while down) because I got super happy then weapon swapped —> Blurred Frenzy a moment too soon.
Yes postistooshort.
Kill people in the Gauntlet.
It’s a recipe that you have to learn via an item, not discovery.
Deadeye Dunwell.
If you’re fighting Dunwell with 5 Gambits as a Mesmer, try running 20/20/5/25/0 with Feedback, Mantra of Disruption, and Blink/Signet of Domination/Echo.
For Elite, get a summon (Mistfire Wolf or Racial, if you don’t have any, just use Time Warp).
Run GS + Sword/Focus.
Before the fight starts, consume a Fire Elemental Powder, then an Ogre Pet Whistle. If you have a summon, now is the time to use it. Also charge your Mantra.
As soon as the fight starts, hit her with a 4/2/3 combo on Greatsword, followed by a Feedback (can use mid-combo).
Auto-attack until you see him line up his sights and a line appears (it may not appear, so watch his animation). As soon as that happens, cast one Mantra charge on him. He will proceed to auto attack a few times or just blink next to you. As soon as he does that, press 2 on your greatsword, then shatter (F1) and weapon swap.Cast your 4 down as soon as possible, to reduce damage taken, then cast your 5 + 3. Hopefully, Dunwell is really low at this point. Use Time Warp. Wait for your Warden to fully attack, then shatter (F1 or F2) and cast all available skills (except utilities). Swap to Greatsword and start auto-attacking.
Dunwell should teleport away. Keep an eye on his animations/the line to interrupt again. Continue casting all available GS skills.
If Dunwell still isn’t dead, you need to get more damage. Try asking a Guardian to Empower you before going in. You can also stack up Bloodlust before going in.
tl;dr: Run reflects + Interrupts (long-range) and summon as much as you can.
There’s an unreachable map gate portal thingy in the Maguuma Jungles going north of Brisban.
But in your first paragraph you state that games must have vertical progression if they wish to last.
For all we know, you died from the darkness ticks and her auto attacks.
No. You can only evade/invuln it.
If you reduce the hp of Liadri, you make the other achievement harder, because people will accidentally kill her.

Her beam is not a damaging skill, it’s an instant-down move. Use the darkness wells to fight her.
Count to two, then dodge.
If you’re doing Gambits on him for the achievement[s], then I suggest grabbing as many interrupts as you can, while also having good damage output. Summons are very, very useful here (Fire Elemental Powder + Ogre Pet Whistle + Elite). Make sure you have an invuln (or two) ready in case you panic.
I spent nearly 200 tickets to get all the achievements. The only one left is to get (out of BOTH meta-events) 8 orbs on Liadri. I’ve just been taking a break doing dailies and whatnot while I prepare myself for it.
I enjoy completing things and I’ll be sad when I complete it because it, just like all the other beginning events, will then be nearly dead for me (at least I can grind in the Pavilion!)
You can sit back and support as a Guardian. Just make sure to ask if the party needs anything specific for a fight (Condition Removal, Reflects, etc) before going in. If nobody says anything, you can sit back with a Staff + Scepter/Shield and just buff allies and add a little bit of DPS with your Scepter.
Staff4 (Empower) and Shield4 (SomethingtodowithProtection) are both really useful skills in most cases. Empower should let the group carry you as long as you can pull that off before being deadweight.
Whether you have the recipe unlocked via the Discovery Panel. There are some freebie recipes, but you should not expect to ever use those to level up your craft.
It’s a gold sink. An effective one at that.
If you don’t think 2 slots is worth 8g, then don’t get it. You can always purchase 20 slot bags with Fractal Relics.
I’m not saying the OP is right, but (like all boxes that grab specific items) the boxes you get from fractal relics won’t sort, so they’re kind of useless for general storage.
On the contrary, I have both the Uncommon (Masterwork) and Rare (Rare) versions. I put them as my final two bags and stuck a Mystic Salvage Kit at the first slot of the Rare bag.
All items that go in the Uncommon bag are saved for Mystic Forge.
All items that go in the Rare bag are salvaged immediately.
All items that are not in either of those bags gets sold (I have Invisible Bags for my own stuff).
Quite handy, indeed.

You forget that Ascended has inherent upgrades present.
Trinkets, when crafted, also have their respective upgrade present, but it can be swapped out.
I compared all stats with the inherent upgrades active, as the Ascended have irremovable upgrades.
The Exquisite Quartz Jewel (Celestial Upgrade) grants +11 all stats, +2% critical damage and +3% magic find.
In PvP, you get PvP ranks. When you “levelup” in PvP, your PvP ranks go up.
If you’re talking WvW, however, your character will retain the levels.
Build is this build here
Feel free to:
Swap Empowered Illusions (Domination III) with Crippling Dissipation (Domination V).
Swap Deceptive Evasion (Dueling X) with Duelist’s Discipline (Dueling IX).
Swap Blade Training (Dueling IV) with Far-Reaching Manipulations (Dueling I).
Swap Compounding Celerity (Inspiration VI) with Warden’s Feedback (Inspiration VIII).
Note:
Blade Training is super helpful, so if you do go for Far-Reaching Manipulations, you can swap out Deceptive Evasion for Blade Training.
Signet of Illusions is somewhat useless as illusions will die relatively fast, but it does allow your illusions to take one or two more hits from Liandri. If you don’t want to run this, swap to Feedback, Null Field, or Mantra of Resolve (be careful with this).
I don’t care that you bet.
I lost 6 tickets because the arena bugged after I queued and there’s no way to unqueue (or requeue at a different arena).
AC light pants.
The only RNG in the entire gauntlet is Strugar tossing his Meat (distance/placement).
Make sure you’re purchasing one of each armor SLOT. So make sure you have 3 shoes, 3 gloves, 3 pants, 3 shirts, 3 shoulders and 3 helms (of different tiers, of course).
Weather effects like that create a lot of stress (on clients).
When I go to the Human Tutorial, my laptop goes thermo-nuclear (well, it’s always thermo-nuclear, but it goes in overdrive thermo-nuclear status). And no, it’s not because of the 2 centaur’s next to me.
So, I queued up and never got let into the arena. 6 tickets down the drain, and I’m unable to get a refund for the tickets. Yay.
Why not just have 2 pools of gold in the wallet.
Accessible Gold.
Inaccessible Gold.
Inaccessible Gold is gold you “store” inside your wallet, but cannot spend and doesn’t appear in your inventory (unless you mouse over the wallet).
Accessible Gold is gold that’s available to all characters instantly.
You can move gold from one pool to the other with a few clicks.
Because sticks and brains can’t lead, duhh.
Depends on how much your class values all the stats from celestial gear, also if you value the mf at all when it’s just about guaranteed to be removed soon(even though you may be able to change stats on the gear).
Also depends on the definition of “slight stat difference” because looking at the difference between rare/ascended celestial accessories is more than 10+ all stats on the ascended piece so you’re looking at 60-70+ if you have all 6 armor pieces as ascended which isn’t “slight”. So the question you need to ask yourself is are the 60-70+ stats worth the wait when no ones even knows how long it will take to make a single ascended piece.
Ascended Celestial has 2 more stats than Exotic Celestial.
Exotic Celestial has 2% more MF than Ascended Celestial.
This is each piece on average. The total difference is
3 all stats, 2% MF on amulet.
2 all stats, 2% MF on accessories.
2 all stats, 2% MF on rings.
Total difference using Ascended Celestial vs Exotic Celestial:
11 all stats vs 10% MF.
So yes, the difference is 10+ all stats… over the course of all the Celestial Trinkets, and barely.
I’m guessing you did Gambits on Deadeye?
It occasionally rains in Kryta at night.
Anise says that it was her doing.
Additionally, Logan couldn’t bring himself to face Rytlock at full capacity. It still fits in any point of the story as he’s either too ashamed to face Rytlock, or he’s too afraid of actually hurting Rytlock.
Mesmers have a bit of trouble, too.
I’ve finished liadra with my mesmer, my advice is to take Moa elite and use the trait far-reaching manipulations for your blink
I just swapped to my not-fully geared thief. It’s a lot nicer to have easy access to mobility and pure damage on command.
Wait a day or two, or three.
Remember to prioritize temporary things over permanent things.
Get Daily Achievements. (PvE AND PvP if possible)
Get Living Story Achievements.
Get Monthly Achievements. (PvE AND PvP if possible)
While doing your Monthly (or Daily) try to do things you haven’t done before.
Aka Monthly Jumping Puzzle —> Go to Jumping Puzzles you haven’t done for even more points.
What if I told you there are people outside of the EU and NA regions?
Like Australia for example.
You have your point. But i believe there must be a better solution. I just pick this topic up. I do hope there is a good way.
Okay, then how about if we reduce the points players gain at night, we apply it to all timezones.
That’s fair, because it’s always night somewhere!
Mesmers have a bit of trouble, too.
It’s disappointing when I have to pay attention to the negative space of the ground to figure out if there’s a red circle there instead of just looking at the ground.
Even then, though, the negative space can sometimes still not be a good indicator with the ground below it (and it’s hard to pick the correct sphere since the “bubble” doesn’t give you a good indicator at what it will look like inside).
I’m fine with this Living Story not having Red-Green colorblind support, but please, [texture]artists and the like, keep us in mind. It’s pretty hard to play the game when we can’t see half the things about to hit us.
And baubles from the super adventure box :p
But you can only gain more if you carry less than 250 (or 500 with the purse) ingame, which would actually make the wallet hurt SAB.
Actually you can gain more if you store them or put them on other character, but I see your concern. Bauble bubbles then
But you can’t put them on other characters if they’re in the wallet.
WvW you get upleveled, and if you run in zergs it doesn’t really make a difference.
PvP you’re automatically level 80 with max gear, so it doesn’t really make a difference.

Keep in mind you have much higher stats than a level 11.
in GW2, mobs have varying intelligence, with some mobs targetting based on certain stats (in addition to normal targeting mechanics) and others just hit whoever is closest.
An example is Lupicus, who will go after one person but will attack anyone (with his Lupine Bolt, aka PB). In his final phase, he will typically drain one target (but he may swap occasionally) and chase after one target. He will cast on anyone in melee range if they come close during an opportune moment, but other than that, he’s actually just a tank and spank boss.

“Irvine the guy who I Talked to about Guild Ticket scraps and Did my first CoF run with”
I voted Kiel, but I don’t care which gets implemented.
Also, Decked.8274, akaredacted, you might want to stop spamming everywhere, especially throwing around your email like that.
