Wow, that was more than I was expecting, especially the permanent rewards. Hellfire armor looks awesome.
It looks good except for the fact that it looks like a reskin of the COF armor.
It looks like a reskin because the pants shirt and shoes are CoF. The Gloves Helm and Shoulders are new.
It will take anywhere from 45 minutes to 5 hours. And yes, you need a party.
You get 2 achievements just for finishing the dungeon (along with 1 for saluting horrik) and then there’s a talk to Mai achievement that will be available tomorrow.
July 9th. This means that July 8th (Monday) is the final day.
Divinity’s Reach is so beautiful. Why do people subjugate themselves to living with pirates?
>You realize that by going for a win, you tend to get the daily top stat
Did you read my post?
This is what I am complaining about.
You’re complaining about an easy achievement point.
Only gloves, helm and shoulders.. /sad
/sad here as well. This kind of thing is to me a waste of time. I would rather see less gauntlets / shoulder pieces / helmets and see more full armor sets. Individual pieces mix and match worse than in the original Guild Wars.
I beg to differ
(Not my best screen shot, just took it really quick)
First, don’t have aegis on when you ss, second don’t have your glowy weapon in front of your armor.
So you guys are thinking that ANet is pulling an Aion in the next patch? They could certainly do it and just limit it to a specific location. However, it would be really awkward.
Maybe they’re adding crouch to the game. There are several applications for crouch.
- When falling, pressing the crouch key right before hitting the ground will reduce falling damage by a certain percent and also prevent falling flat on your face
- Let’s you take cover behind certain low height objects so you get extra protection from projectile attacks
- Moving when crouched could potentially allow you to sneak past certain monsters when they would otherwise aggro on you if you got too close
I hope you realize that a well-timed dodge roll when you land will prevent the falling on face.
They have a snack bar that looks to be as well-equipped as Valve’s. I don’t think they’re going to dry up soon.
You realize that by going for a win, you tend to get the daily top stat in one of the many possible categories. Just don’t play in an 8v8.
The + 20% experience is good, I don’t know how useful that is when your 80 but, from this point on I’m going to post a list of infusion upgrades that would be in the same tier or higher than the +20%’s.
I hope you realize you picked one of the worst infusions to list as your “best”.
It’s +20% experience from kills, mobs will, at level 80, give you ~1000 exp (before bonus exp) which means that at most, you’ll get 600 bonus exp (1000 exp + 2000 bonus exp + 20% exp, if it even WORKS like that).
Note: at level 80, 1000 exp is 1/254 of your level or 0.39% exp (yes, 0.39%) that means that if you were to grind with the +20% exp from kills, you would get 0.47% per kill instead (before counting bonus exp, if it DID count bonus exp from mobs, then you could potentially go from 1.18% exp per kill to 1.41% exp per kill ASSUMING THE MOB HAS BONUS EXP ATTACHED TO IT and also assuming that the bonus exp is affected by +%exp)
Transmutation Crystal onto a white item (keep the legendary name, keep the white item stats) —> move onto diff char —> Transmutation Crystal onto an Exotic.
In regards to the
suggest removing points already gained from doing dailies and such to “make it more fair for newer players”.
That was my post and it wasn’t to make it more fair for newer players, it was in response to someone at the top of a leaderboard who wanted it to be harder to get achievement points (through dailies).
No they will remain with the guild. They will vanish if you disband the guild.
NPC to the left and there’s a button called Hot Join (or Play Now or something). It automatically places you with people around your rank. It’s not perfect, but that’s the best thing to do as a beginner.
All it would help if they did release it would be macros that are against the EULA and bots, which are also against the EULA.
It’s code manipulation. If they didn’t want it, they wouldn’t parse the codes typed manually in the chat.
You can talk to her Tomorrow until Tuesday
While we’re at it about swiftness, can we make it so Signet of Inspiration doesn’t give swiftness unless you already have it? I’m tired of it proccing as I drop my Temporal Curtain.
sooo you get 2s less swiftness… whereas if you walked through the Temporal Curtain a moment earlier, you’d get 10s more… and you want to walk around not getting swiftness from Signet of Inspiration because you didn’t already have it? How does this make any kind of sense?
Boon duration, also it ruins swift stacking.
Why are you pulling the lord out of his circle?
You mean like an Invisible Bag?
Let’s go back to my earlier post.
You select the looks: this depicts what your item will look like. (also includes flavor text)
You select the stats: this depicts everything on the item other than the skin and the upgrade (including level and binding).
You select the upgrade: this depicts JUST the upgrade slot. Meaning if you had a Ruby orb (not talking about ascended for one second) you would get a ruby orb onto the new item. NOTHING ELSE IS CHANGED HERE
I’ll let you figure it out.
Have you checked Southsun Cove?
The word is that isnt part of world completion.
That’s true, but he did say he had EVERYTHING in the open world 100%’ed, and so the only place i could think of is Southsun Cove (it has 6 Asura Gates)
Of course it’s more likely he hasn’t gotten newer things since they were added.

sPvP, do Hotjoin at the beginning and grit your teeth. It’s very unforgiving to new players. There’s a guild made for teaching new players, I think it’s Academy of the Mists.
Fractals, you’re not going to get too much gear here, I’d suggest focusing on getting into exotics and learning your class (even better) while slowly working up. Do daily Fractals (even number runs). Preferably run 2,4,6,8 once a day. If you want to keep doing Fractals that day, run even numbers 3,5,7,9. Make sure you’re running either your level or higher runs. Also make sure that your group knows you’re inexperienced so they can explain the fights.
WvW, you can just hop in and follow them. If you want to learn more, there are WvW guilds out there, I’m not sure about your world specifically.
Dungeons is where you’re going to want to spend most of your time. These provide you money, loot (which you can sell for money) and dungeon tokens which you can use to buy yourself Exotic armors and weapons (BiS for now and Orange rarity).
See: this link here to figure out what dungeons you want to do
My tip for you is to start with tanky gear and slowly progress down to squishier and squishier gear. If you read a guide that has all zerker gear, don’t immediately rush into all zerk gear, for the love of all that is holy.
To swap it between characters, you will need a Ragged Scrap Backpiece or Backpack Straps.
Are you SURE you got the PoI INSIDE the Chantry of Secrets?
But I’d also like to see some support for smaller guilds in here, maybe a 1-5 man version with smaller rewards?
It’s the same as normal transmutation. You have 3 selections.
Selection 1: Looks.
Selection 2: Stats.
Selection 3: Upgrade Slot (Infusion in this case).
Keep in mind, for the upgrade slot, it will have to match the infusion slot, so you can’t just put a defensive infusion onto an offensive infusion slot by using a transmutation crystal.
There MAY be Mounts in the future, but, again, there’s no point. And you have your Brooms, Sonic Tunneling Devices, and Tonics!
Food/Nourishment, Y/N?
He doesn’t just have armguards on both sides; his right armguard is blue, his left armguard is red. And I don’t think it’s any co-incidence in their design that his two former apprentices, zojja and kudu, have seemingly identical armguards between them.
Incidentally, Snaff was almost certainly a mesmer (Most of his research was into mind-technology interfacing, and their master plan for kralkatorrik basiclly involved dominating his mind), not to mention the abundance of purple in his getup
Actually, he has Red, Blue, and Purple in his getup which means that both Kudu and Zojja derived their armors from him (each taking a different stance on his research).
It’s a very deep symbolic meaning, because Zojja is taking the Blue (typically related to doing good) colors and the right arm (she ended as his right hand apprentice). She looked up to Snaff like a father.
Kudu, however, took the Red side and the left armguard. He believed that Snaff’s research into utilizing the dragon’s energy was good, but believed it could be better. He wanted to control the dragon’s energy and use it for his own purposes. He took Snaff’s research then twisted it for his own deeds.
Zojja, on the other hand, left Snaff’s research alone because she knew (that Snaff knew) that the research into controlling dragonic energy was too dangerous.
It’s very lore-oriented.
Queensdale. Champion Troll, Champion Oakheart, Champion Wasp, Champion Boar.
I’d be happy if he said things based on what YOU did. Like if YOU captured something, he would tell YOU (and only you/allies that did the objective) “You’ve taken the Redwater Supply Camp!”.
Also note that during the last Wintersday event they had double drop rate (theorized drop rate of 0.02% or 2/10,000 meaning that the drop rate is theorized to be 1/10,000).
Black Lion Chests.
They’re still available, but they have a ridiculously low drop rate.
I’m perfectly okay with putting a cap on daily achievements granting achievement points… but only on the condition that all daily achievements give 0 achievement points. (and all past daily achievement points will be removed from your current total)
You can jump on the sides of the platforms instead of the center. The sides of the platforms will not disappear and so you can get all the way to the entrance without worrying about the time limit.
You realize spending money on having people fix those descriptions is more effort than it’s worth. There will always be a way to perceive something in a different light. Look at how they finally managed to do WvW Rewards because everyone had a different opinion on how they worked and most people STILL didn’t understand after 2 fixes to the descriptions.
July 9th or July 10th GMT (about 3 pm – 5pm)
It ends July 9th, be sure to have everything done on July 8th.
I’ve asked a few people in-game and I told me that there’s a 100% chance that in one month~3 months the prices will rise higher in 300%-400%.
So, what should I do? can I just ask ANet if they might get the dungeon back or release special skins on the gem store?
Thanks again.
You’re not going to get an answer from ANet. It’s your choice who you trust and what you believe in the end.
Esplen – just a quick question, how do you factor in the low demand, according to spidy.
Let’s just say the jetpack – supply 67, demand over 300
Monocles combined – supply 47 – demand 72I don’t mind either way, I know I certainly won’t buy either at those prices, but shouldn’t the demand be higher for the monocles or are they just being filled since they currently still drop?
Drop rate and also the amount of people running the dungeon. Molten Alliance Dungeon had a LOT MORE people running it on a daily basis (and finishing it) as opposed to Aetherblade Retreat. I don’t have exact numbers on this, but you can tell based on the complaints that most people are giving to get an idea of the people NOT doing the dungeon (out of the small forum community).
Ok, but that should mean that the demand for the monocles should be higher, no?
Demand is arbitrary. If people like it, the demand goes up. If people don’t like it, the demand doesn’t go as high (but people will collect it for the sake of having something rare and precious as opposed to having something for their looks. See: Most peoples views on Legendaries)
We know what the staff looks like and a few of the pieces. We also know that there are only helmets/shoulders/gloves.
See: [src] for their icons. (Page 3 and 4 have Zenith Weapons)
Except you can bypass it by saving link codes. Regardless, having preview with stats (and runes) makes for elitist gameplay, I’m not going to lie. Imagine if you went into CoF groups and they kicked you because you didn’t swap armors (they were in your inventory) or because your traits weren’t JUST the way they wanted it?

Considering they have a picture of an NPC/Player with full hellfire skin, it seems more likely that they’re not all in the data files yet.
Don’t take the title so seriously. What I mean by update is that we haven’t gotten a significant content addition since fotm. All this talk of improving dungeons, player owned housing, and guild halls yet there haven’t been really any significant changes.
All this talk has been with players, not with devs.
