Well, I took a complete guess and tried this out after getting those silly errors while trying to log in/change maps and it worked.
Don’t do a repair. It takes too long. The method I tried below fixed it for me.
Delete GW2’s temporary file so it has to regenerate the file. You’ll only lose your graphics and sound settings but that’s it.
It fixed it for me. Something must be stuck in the temp file that’s causing the issues.
Go here: C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2 and delete the “Local.dat” file.

Can we get an update from a dev? We need to know if they’re going to buff this ability or not. It really needs it.

This is very helpful as I wasn’t sure if the Greatsword would be obsolete as a Berserker. I’ll be picking the Ascended Greatsword. Thanks!
GS won’t be obsolete since berserker isn’t a good spec and there really isn’t a reason to be running it over a normal warrior.

Make fast hands baseline for warrior if you’re not going to delete the spec at least. All the new elite spec utilities are useless. Who in their right mind would swap out balanced stance, zerker stance, endure pain, etc. for these? They’re so bad it’s insulting. This was so lazily created and done last minute they didn’t even come up with a creative name for the spec. They named it the same as berserker stance and a set of armor that everyone uses.
Someone give me a single reason anyone should use the berserker spec over a standard warrior build. I guarantee you that no matter what weapon set or build a berserker spec warrior uses, he will never ever beat the standard power warrior in a duel. This obviously shouldn’t be a benchmark for determining if a spec is good but it speaks volumes about how terrible and lazily made the spec is.

Garbage weapon and spec. I’ve been a warrior main since the betas and there is ZERO reason to go with torch or the new spec over a power warrior.
Sadly, warrior was shafted big time in HOT while the other professions got some really nice specs.
The only way berserker spec and torch will be any good is if they do the following:
-Make fast hands base for warrior. OR at the very least make the new elite spec include a fast hands by default so you don’t need to pick discipline.
-Buff stats while in zerker mode
-Make torch 4 actually do big damage so it can be used in more power oriented builds. Maybe make it a knock down like mace 5?
-Delete berserker spec and start over. They were extremely lazy and uncreative when coming up with this spec. So lazy in fact that they named it berserker. The same as berserker stance and berserker armor. All the new utilities are complete trash and no experienced warrior would pick them over balance stance, zerker stance, or endure pain. Garbage.

Everyone needs to keep in mind that rangers can shoot up to 2200 distance. Not the 1500 as stated in the tool tip. However, warrior’s rifle shoots exactly what it says in the tool tips.
How is this fair anyways?
I don’t think this should be nerfed thieves work in the shadows and should never be visible or killable. When i play this game I don’t want to die so I play this build it’s easy.
I was discussing with my friend on how to really bring this skill up a notch and the best we came up with was for Anet to include a stealth at the end of the teleport. It would allow the revenant some much needed survivability.
IMO it needs either an immobilize or condi clears, it should be made to be either more defense or offensive
This is a good idea.
This is an excellent ability and I’d like to see it buffed. Right now I can only teleport 1200 range with it towards a target far away. It lets me exit combat in WvW when I’m in trouble as long as there are targetable objects in the distance. It’s a good start but with further tweaking it can be fantastic. I’m getting PMs from people telling me to stop using teleport cheats so I think they should make the animation a bit more obvious for it so people know what’s happening.
It has no cool down and that’s good but it would be better if it cost less energy as I can really only do it instantly around 3 times or so.
For instance, thieves can teleport 2400 distance with shadow step (1200 going and then 1200 returning). I’d like to see Phase Transversal buffed to atleast 1500 range and maybe even add a trait to get it up to 2400.
What do you guys think? I’m going to main Revnant as my roaming class because I think when played well you’ll never die.
It’s because swiftness no longer affects the distance of whirlwind. This concentrates all the hits into a much shorter area which will hit your target more often.
Before, with swiftness, maybe 2 or so hits would actually hit your target but now pretty much the whole thing does if you start your attack at the proper distance.
When mesmers are traited for mender’s purity they can trigger the trait using tonics because they count as a heal skill when exiting.
Please fix this.
It’s the easiest class to play at the moment. If I want to roam around and win every engagement and be able to escape anything that doesn’t go your way (being zerged) then mesmer is the class to be.
Just make a mesmer and start playing it so the game gets flooded with more and maybe they’ll nerf them. Maybe I’ll play the mesmer more once it takes actual skill to play because right now I feel really bad (not really) just steamrolling everyone.

The massive burst they can pull off from stealth (pretty often too) is absurd. They can disengage a fight whenever they want as well.
There’s a certain setup I use which is straight up unkillable yet does massive damage. I gave this build to my wife who just leveled her mesmer to 80 and was just constantly winning any fight she got into.
I stopped running mesmer because it makes me a lazy player. It basically took the fun out of the game because there’s zero risk of dying.
I’ve also lost a lot of my reason to play mesmer atm due to how easy it is. It’s just too faceroll right now.
So why don’t the both of you play a version of the build without the stuff they added?
At least one poster put up a build that is functionally equivalent to pre-patch. You can go and have your no-faceroll mesmer, and it will still be a mesmer.

LOL. You’re kidding yourself if you think changing a thing here and there makes it more difficult to use. It’s a class that destroys in pretty much any aspect of WvW.
Massive damage with the ability to escape anything you want . Blink, distortion, blurred frenzy, dodges, blocks, and some of the most absurd stealth ever. You can troll a huge amount of people using stealth and portals. Just do all your stealth trolling in a keep and when you finally exhaust your options you drop a portal and exit the keep and run far away….when you have everything back up then you portal back in and start over. Then port in your zerg whenever you want. It’s comedy and it’s even funnier when you have two mesmers working together to do that.
It’s a class with big rewards and zero risk. I duel, roam, and 5v5 with it all the time and not once do I think it takes any skill to play.
When I want a challenge I’ll roll a warrior or engineer but when I want to relax and win all day I run my mesmer.

Anet, please stop this golem event. Here’s the story.
So, tonight I was hosting a LAN party with my buddies in my mom’s basement. The three of them were very interested in purchasing GW2 tonight so we could all play. Well, to my dismay I log into WvW and all three of them witness what is one of the worst things I’ve ever seen done to the game.
So, thank you so much. Now they aren’t buying the game. Two of them were so disgusted they went home and now it’s just my mom and I sitting down here watching me play during this horrible event.
The only plus side is I have more tostito’s pizza rolls to myself.

Mesmer won some duels surprising lol. Glad you made one and won some duels. Duels are not cause for nerfing. Also Mesmer has improved but if you would have taken a ele/guard the results would have been even better for helping your party. Mesmer has burst but far from those other classes healing condition removal stability sharing on top of damage.
Won some duels? We’re winning every even fight we get into. If it for some reason doesn’t go our way we just stealth, regroup, and (our 5 mesmers can get 50 seconds of stealth just from using the elite and not counting utilities or torch) There’s no point in running a guardian because every mesmer in the party can invis for a very long time (especially when running torch) and recover from anything. I don’t need protection because I’ve got blurred frenzy, distortion, blink, torch invis, decoy, mass invis. I don’t need heals because when traited the mantra heals/clears are OP and broken in my opinion.
It’s kittened. I don’t bother playing any other class because if I want to not die ever, then I just run mesmer.
Because mesmers are basically the best profession in the game and require barely any skill to play. I’m a beginner mesmer player and I BARELY have to try and I will win every duel or stalemate it. It’s so easy. Even my wife can’t be killed on her mesmer after she copy pasted my build and it was her first time using it.
Last night my roaming guild ran our usual professions but found it tough because we kept being zerged down. We swapped to a 3 mesmer comp and were unstoppable. I wasn’t worried one bit when I was in a fight. Nothing could pin me down and I can disengage anything I wanted. I can troll around the enemy keeps and spawns and they can’t do a thing. Duels were trivial. I do massive damage and have so much stealth and invulns it’s insane.
There’s no point in running anything else but mesmers at the moment.
With fast hands trait your underwater weapons switch enter cool down when you go into the water. It’s been like this since release. Fix this please.
Yup, it’s so lame. No way to counter it especially if the engineer comes in stealthed.
Anet doesn’t actually play PvP/WvW. If they did they would know there was NO REASON to give mesmers double the stealth duration. It blows my mind.
I won’t even mention how you can troll a capped enemy tower with 2 mesmers just because I don’t want to see more people doing it.
It really blows my mind it wasn’t fixed the day they released this patch.
You can’t do anything about it. There’s barely any counter play other than hoping you have your invuln going by pure coincidence. Even having an auto endure pain trait doesn’t help as it’s an instant death and doesn’t have time to proc.
It’s getting old. Every bad engineer is running it and in the middle of a hectic small fight you just get instantly killed.

Fix this broken grenade barrage bug please. EVERY single engineer in WvW is running this and it’s annoying.
L2P issue for those that complain.
I duel hammer warriors running rampage on my engineer with ONE stun break and no stability and I still win. Just kite, use invis, blinds, blocks, dodges until it runs out.

You’re not going to beat an equally skills mesmer in a 1v1 with melee.
Engineer’s barrage is “piercing” targets and then also causing damage from the explosions when the grenades hit the ground. This has to be unintended.
