This is probably one of the most pitifully sad things I’ve read in this forum so far. Why are you so upset and taking a game that seriously? LOL.
I can’t believe people are still crying about ascended weapons/armor being added in.
Have you even looked at the stats the weapons give? It’s garbage. Not even remotely close to being worth it. If I make myself TWO one handed ascended weapons totaling almost 100 gold worth of material, I would get the following stat improvements TOTAL:
8 Power
.3% crit chance (yes, there’s a decimal there)
0% crit damage
A SINGLE stack of might gives about 4 times more power.
Have you ever had a 1v1 against someone and have it come down to both players having 10hp left? Where 8 power would have made a difference? Nope. Doesn’t happen.
If you can’t beat someone wearing exotics while you wear rares, you won’t beat them even if you wear exotics. Simple as that.
Yep. They need to get nerfed big time. On my engi I can load up someone immediately with a bunch of stacks lasting a ridiculous 15+ seconds. To those defending these runes by saying to bring condition removals…..you obviously know that doesn’t work so stop saying it. You don’t just put confusion by itself. You load them up and put on poison, immob, burning, bleeds, chill, stun (supply drop), etc. all on top of it so they can’t clear it easily.
It’s broken. Fix it.
I know your not reading this but to cheep fem norn War of CD of guild fear the king vulture alliance who running full sentinel gear with gard kill hp buffs with sword jumps it is the cheapest build i ever seen in wvw in over a year even THF’s in full zerker have more honor.

What kind of bad player uses Sentinal armor on his warrior? lol. I don’t even use anything remotely close to that.

Dear Asura warrior from WFD/US,
Just a heads up! Find a better build. Yours is good for trolling but you can’t kill a single thing. I liked killing your buddies in that 1v4 while you sat there doing zero damage to me (I’m not even bunker). I just ignore you in group fights because you can’t do anything except maybe run away.
I love the “bring condition removals or stability” suggestion that the exploiters of these broken runes are spouting. I have to either go full condition removal utilities or go stability. All having long cool downs and not enough to stop the easy interrupts. 8 second balanced stance on 40 second cool down and 8 second dolyak signet on a 60 second cool down? LOL. Even condition removals are not good since there will be other conditions stacked on top of the confusion.
Runes are broken. It needs a big cool down and duration reduction. Anyone defending it just wants a crutch for their class.
I’ve tried them on my condition thief and spamming headshot is SO EASY it’s hilarious. My engineer was invincible with these. I removed the runes on both because I know it needs a nerf.
Props go out to my twin (but in Asura form) warrior Mallechos from [Npth] and the condition engineer from [Ns]. Two of better players I’ve come across during this matchup.
Worst player award goes to the Norn warrior in draconic armor from [TGS] running greatsword axe/shield. It’s almost bot-like that you keep trying to bullscharge+frenzy+100blades me every single time even though I’ve dodged it every single time and destroyed you afterwards. You’ve tried atleast 20 times this week and died every single time. Find something new! This isn’t the first week of the game’s release.
I’m pretty sure it’s all the bad players that complain about these stun warriors. We dueled good warriors using different stun setups and it wasn’t a big deal.
Both my mesmer buddies would kill them repeatedly in a 1v1. Does that make mesmers more OP that this “stun meta?” My non-stun warrior would take them down. Thief using doom sigils and poison on steal would demolish the warrior’s regen.
In a group fight two of us would focus these warriors and since they’re using healing signet they couldn’t outheal our burst and they died shortly after every single time. These warriors aren’t strong in a group fight compared to what they are supposed to counter (condition necro/engi meta). Necros can walk in and dump all this crap, have two life bars and an annoyingly long elite which is crazy against melee, buying them more time to heal and use their multiple health bars.
Necros > Warriors.
Whenever the buff is applied or removed from hundreds of people at a time the entire map lags. It’s REALLY terrible and should be fixed or removed immediately.
This has made WvW completely unplayable.
Yep. When the bloodlust buff flashes rapidly on your buff bar, you will notice you’re lagging. Everyone I spoke to noticed the same thing.

A bunch of us noticed that everyone lags really badly when the buff at the bottom of our screens rapidly flashes. It’s extremely annoying because it’s happening very often (whenever a server loses or gains the buff).
This honestly needs to get fixed. This lag is terrible and really gamebreaking. It’s pretty stupid that I’m in a fight and I’m lagging in 2 seconds bursts every 10-20 seconds at times.
I don’t think your servers can handle applying and removing the buff to hundreds of people.

They’re not coming out and saying they’re going to nerf the war because people just started playing bunker/CC wars. It’ll happen though, it needs to.
No it doesn’t. People just don’t know how to handle regen.
We duel extensively and I’ve seen many many good builds and amazing players go up against each other. The common mace/shield+GS with regen signet EASILY gets taken out by a thief or any other class that just poisons or does a lot of burst.
Honestly, a condition regen bunker ranger using that perma regen setup is tougher to fight than a warrior. It has evades, PROTECTION, crazy heals, crazy condition removal, etc.
People just need to learn to play and accept that some builds will beat them if they aren’t set up for it.
These regen warriors pose no trouble for me at all.
This is completely annoying because I use a total of 4 weapons on my warrior build.
Also, did you notice that a zerker GS has 1% more crit damage than two zerker one handed weapons? Honestly, that’s stupid.
Is this in WvW? If it is, then you might have points into the guard defense line. If you put enough points into that line it gives you retaliation if you dodge/mitigate any attacks from guards or similar NPCs.
Only other way is if the enemy puts confusion on you and your warhorn converts it to retaliation (I think).
Stomping someone only to have them level up right as my banner is being placed into their skull has actually happened quite a few times.
Also, if they were tagging people earlier who ended up living and just so happened to die right when you were stomping them can res them.
I’ve seen tons of cheaters in this game but as far as I’m aware the only type of cheating that can be done is movement. There are no cheats that allow you to alter health, damage, or anything else like that because that’s all server side. Movement is the only one that can be exploited. Otherwise we would be seeing thieves dealing 100,000 damage per backstab or doing machine gun headshots with infinite initiative.
That being said, once my buddies and I downed 3 enemies and stomped them. Their bodies were laying dead on the ground. We stood there just chatting about the fight then all of a sudden all 3 enemies res each other from full death. No one stealth rezzed them either. I don’t know what to think about that.

You’re completely missing the point.
There’s a huge chunk of serious PvPers who agree that Anet gave a huge advantage to necros with their animations. I’m sorry but if you don’t agree that laying down marks on a player’s feet INSTANTLY with no telegraphed animation while causing CC/huge condition damage (dhuumfire/fearbomb/etc) is absurd then I don’t know what to tell ya.
Serious tournament players want to see things like this improved.

Thanks for the evidence supporting what I’m saying. Did you pay attention to the time difference between the the conditions being applied and the ITTY BITTY TINY puff of smoke that appears that can happen from 1200 range that doesn’t even differentiate between other signets?
Are you saying that’s as obvious as ANY ranger ability from 1200 range? As obvious as a warrior using his F1 hammer burst or ANY attack the warrior has? Lava font, eruption, meteor shower, ice spike or most Elementalist attacks?
A necro can just press a button or put down marks on his target instantly and are completely unavoidable. They honestly need to add some type of animation to most necro abilities. There are a few skills in the game belonging to other classes which have the same issue but the necro has the most.

When a necro casts signet of spite there is a big Yellow signet that appears over their head that looks like a yellow full moon that screams “Hello I’m casting my Signet of Spite” at the same time the necro also does a hand animation. Signet of spite is a very telegraphed move that can be blocked, blinded, dodged etc.
Its also usually a 1v1 tool if its not 1v1 and a necro has spite on it probably has epidemic so that leaves 1 stun breaker.

Watch how the conditions are applied and then the symbol SLOWLY “puffs” into existence like smoke. Please stop making stuff up to defend something that’s broken.
You can’t dodge it or use tactics to avoid it. There’s many other things similar to this that you can’t see coming that the necro has and it’s garbage and needs to be fixed.
To me it is a matter of L2P, you can avoid the red circles like I do you know?
What are you talking about? You can’t avoid red circles because a necro waves his hand in the air and they appear at your feet and you’re hit with it instantly. No way of avoiding the damage. You click one signet and almost every condition in the game is applied to your target and they didn’t see it coming. There’s no animation that lets you know these are coming.
With a warrior, you can see EVERY attack coming. It’s easy mode fighting a warrior.
Also, if you can’t beat most 1v1’s with your necro then you’re not a good player. Sorry. :\
I actually cringed when I saw this new stat combo. Right now it seems that the game is all about being bunker and putting out conditions. This new stat will make it worse.
Yes, it will conflict. When you swap to that set it will trigger the battle sigil which has a 9 second cool down. For 9 seconds the strength sigil will not trigger.
Only good against bad players or possibly in groups.
I always reflect all their rifle damage right back at them with the missile deflection trait. Nothing funnier than killing a rifle warrior with his own kill shot. Easiest class to duel right next to a hammer warrior.
In a group fight you can get away with doing big damage if no one pays attention to you. Whenever my group sees a rifle warrior we just focus and kill him instantly.
healing signet can afford a nerf and wars will still be on top of their game. If you reduce the heal by 20% it will have a balancing effect moreso than a nerf.
So that the warrior in the video can lose even harder to an OP joke of a class thief that deals massive damage but has huge sustain because of all the evades (and stealth if it was even used)?

BWAHAHA. All the thief did was spam number 3 and the thief was at higher health than the warrior most of the time and the thief wasn’t even using stealth.

I completely agree with this and I’m a bit annoyed that we are a year into release and it hasn’t been added in.
Well WvW definitely is not about running in a group of 10 and ganking rookies. You can achieve next to nothing else with a group as small as that. Sorry.
There’s a group of people who play WvW and don’t want to play follow the leader while spamming their auto attack mindlessly without skill. These guys run around in smaller groups and capture camps, starve enemy zergs of supplies by leading them to supply traps, kill dolyaks, ninja towers while the huge zergs fight for keeps, stop reinforcements running back to enemy keeps that are under siege etc. They’re the ones that use real skill and experience real combat and are the ones that notice that these runes are broken.
and if you think you are going to down a condition heavy tanky build with some low HP toon that relies on spike damage then you need to adjust your game.
Exactly. Condition bunker builds are always stronger than DPS builds.
Bunker condition builds will always beat a DPS build and this applies to every class in the game.
WvW has turned into everyone just running bunker condition builds and it’s sad.
Definitely needs a cool down. It’s pretty absurd at the moment.
They need an internal cool down ASAP. On my engineer this is completely OP. My warrior can keep a tremendous amount of stacks on people constantly. My buddies interrupt mesmer is absurd.
Now, imagine a party of five all using this rune and doing AOE confusion. We did this and it was so broken. You can’t use cleanses fast enough and it wouldn’t be a huge issue if confusion didn’t affect dodge rolls, shield uses, and other abilities that are used to clear conditions.
For a DPS build that combo would work. Lay down combustive shot and then lock the enemy down in the fire field.
In WvW you’d get destroyed due to lack of mobility. I make sure to always have either sword or GS in one of my weapon sets for the escapes since I try to avoid zergs and prefer if they can’t catch me.
I think it’s BS that a warrior has all these perfectly telegraphed attacks while other classes like the necro barely have any at all. You can see all of the warrior’s attacks coming (Bullsrush, evisc, shield bash, sword leap, whirlwind, EVERYTHING) while a necro is sitting there waving their hand in the air exactly the same for every attack from 900-1200 distance while dumping tons of conditions that you can’t see coming or even dodge (marks placed at your feet).
It’s what makes fighting a necro such a pain. You have no tactic to avoiding attacks. You just have to accept that you’re gonna end up with a condition/fear bomb that will cut your health down to almost zero in a few seconds.
This combo is a crutch. We did an experiment last night with a guildy who made a thief for the first time. We had him duel people using NOTHING but blackpowder+heartseeker+backstab. That’s it. No other buttons or utilities were pressed except heal.
Let’s just say it was easy mode for my thief guildy. It was sad.

What? How is that? My friend’s ranger hits for 2k-3k with his longbow auto attack. Are you saying if a ranger didn’t have a pet his auto attack should hit for 4-6k?
I love the cute “just stand in the black power circle to stop the thief from stealthing” comments. The heartseeker puts him into stealth while hitting you and does NOT apply reveal. Yes, you heard that correct.
I have a thief and so do most of my guildies and every single one of them agree that this blackpowder + heartseeker needs to be taken out.
If you know what build I’m gonna run, then you can just run a build specifically tailored to beat this one. How is that even fair?

Since it would be “logical” to reveal a thief that got blocked, can we also get at last the ability to disrupt channels if we stealth during the cast time? Say like Rapid Fire that continues to track us perfectly even if we are invisible.
