Nothing better than doing my interrupt in downed state, using wolf fear, swapping pets, using my dog’s knock down, then having my pet rez me at such great speed that it can almost out heal two people DPSing me down.

It’s completely not fair compared to other downed states but I hope Anet doesn’t nerf it because ranger is one of my favorite classes.

What are your graphics set to? Do you have shaders or anything else that might affect the character’s lighting set to low? Does anyone know if the “reflections” setting has an effect on the juggernaut effect?

I think the effect also picks up environment colors mostly. It might even act weird since sylvari armor is different from metal armors.

It is not exaggerated and you can witness it by yourself by watching the repeat broadcast of the said event. And obviously they weren’t EQUALLY skilled opponents since ROM is amongst the best warriors (if not the best)…
(and obviously, again, he didn’t kill all of his oponents by himself, but he did hold three of them off longer than anyone could have done, and didn’t even die in the end)

You said “it’s not exaggerated” then you go on to change what was previously stated. The previous person said he “soloed 3 people”. Apparently now it’s just “held off” until help arrived. I was correct in saying the story was exaggerated.

Again, like I said. A warrior will never be able to take on 2 or more equally skilled opponents.

Lmao. Warr is probably the worst class for outnumbered fights. I know one warrior that can for real kill good players outnumbered and that’s RÔM[TCG] he soloed 3 people in the PvP world cup in china.

LOL. The players must have been bad or he caught two of them with low health and cooldowns or the story is completely exaggerated or made up. There is no way anyone can 1v3 against EQUALLY skilled opponents. It doesn’t happen.

Can you please make it so players cannot rally off of random animal mobs? I’m tired of 1v3ing people, downing them all, then having all three of them rally just because they tapped a mosquito that just so happened to die. They then rally with half health and proceed to kill me. This doesn’t promote any sort of skillful play at all.

Also, can you please make it so players cannot rez the completely dead while in combat? There’s been way too many times where my small group fights a much larger group and their numbers mean they just rez the dead without a problem. How does this promote skillful play? The smaller groups suffer.

Please add in a dueling option so we can duel between friends anywhere we want OR AT THE VERY LEAST in the OS sanctum arena. That way I don’t have to hear any more complaining from terrible players when they interrupt a duel and get destroyed in a 1v1.

Currently warriors are one of the worst classes in the game in 1v1s and group fights in WvW (if you’re interested in WvW).

A warrior will lose to most classes and builds in a 1v1. For instance, a warrior will never beat a DPS oriented guardian if the players are of equal skill. Another example is that a 10 person party of just guardians will STEAMROLL a 10 person warrior group.

So, yeah. Warriors are next to useless if you compare them to Guardians.

The guardian will ALWAYS win if an equally skilled warrior fights him. My guildies and I pretty much only roam and duel so we’ve seen everything. I know of guardian builds that can win 100% of warrior duels using pretty much only scepter. It’s pretty sad.

So, what’s up with this bug? The eagle eye trait is supposed to increase your range to 1500 distance but it actually bumps it up 2100.

We measured the distances using blinks and skills from both thieves and mesmers just to double check that we were right. The first photo shows that 1500 distance is where my buddy “Erythraeum” is standing. My other buddy is standing at the actual max range of 2100. I then stepped onto a ledge took another side shot so you can get a better idea of how much further the arrows actually travel. Hitting people with a 3K auto attack from 2100 distance is pretty silly.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I wouldn’t call it his build. This is the standard trait setup for a balanced warrior build. So, everyone runs it. He just happens to make videos of it.

A warrior running sword/warhorn+GS is useless. Only thing he’s good for is scouting.

Ignore him in group fights and kill all his friends. His buddies will be upset with him for using a troll setup rather than something useful.

If you think warriors with these setups are trolls you haven’t seen PU mesmers, Condi thieves, d/d eles who drop fiery GS to run, etc. I mean, stealth is better than being able to just run away.

Warrior tend to take the brunt of the enemy attack they well melt is anything less than pvt.

Not if you avoid damage using very basic abilities. Dodging, staying out of red circles, kiting, blocks, invulnerabilities, etc.

If two evenly skilled 10 man groups faced off against each other while one is all zerk and the other is all PVT hammer train warrior guardians, then the zerker group would win. We do this all the time against “zerg comp” guilds. Pretty easy fights and it’s hilarious to see the zerg builds complain in PMs about being murdered.

PVT is for new players who pretty much just installed the game.

PVT is scrubbage gear for bunnyrabbits. Anyone that claims to do “hot shii” damage with pvt is a liar ( the DPS is from the other 4 guys doing pewpew).

Any warrior serious about wvw should avoid it completely.

My warrior buddies and I go full zerk. When we run into a PVT warrior in a 5v5 we completely ignore him because he does zero damage.. After demolishing his team we just save him for last.

lol wut? Reflect the scepter auto using your shield stance for a whopping total of 3 seconds on a 30 second cool down? Oh man, that sure as hell turned that battle!

Guardian sees you reflect, drops the scepter’s smite on you. The most powerful single skill in the game if the whole thing hits you. This skill has a 6 second cool down. He can cast it at his feet while you try to melee him.

Warriors are trash and fights against Guardians are a lost cause.

If both players are equally skilled a warrior will never be able to beat a guardian using scepter/focus+GS. Doesn’t matter what build or weapon setup the warrior uses.

Don’t bother. In fact, I’m pretty sure my friend can beat any warrior using just his scepter/focus. It’s pretty sad.

Guardians have a lot of blinds, aegis, blocks, an invuln, teleports, boons, protection, and crazy amounts of damage. A warrior just cannot deal with it.

Many people do. In fact, many more people play WvW than PvP since PvP is pretty stale. There’s around 500 people who are playing PvP at the moment compared to many thousands in WvW.

Eng has always had IP. It’s to make up for the rubbish pistol damage (etc.). Necro was later given an additional condition (burning). Necro had very strong conditions before this. Very different situations. Both have been nerfed multiple times regardless though. 4s base on a 10s cd is now “essentially” perma burning I take it?

From your post history it seems you main a warrior.

Nope. I main engineer and the other class that I play after that is warrior. Engi can put out more condis than necros to be honest.

With Balthazar runes you can have 100% condi duration after foods and traits. It turns that into an 8 second burn. 80% of the time you’re taking massive damage from burning due to a trait that is passive and takes zero skill to pull off and also is completely impossible to see coming.

Condi engineer has a low skill cap and other condi engineers can say otherwise but all the ones that have moved onto higher skill cap builds know the truth.

Incendiary powder needs to be nerfed. Necros had their on crit proc burn removed and so should this one.

It’s too passive and does too much damage. It’s essentially a perma burn during a fight and you do not have enough cleansing to deal with it. There is ZERO animation or way of telling that you will be hit by this burn. If an engineer wants to do burns then he needs to stick with bombs, offhand pistol, or rocket boots which is PLENTY of burning.

There’s no need for this zero skill crutch of a trait. My main is an engineer and playing condi engineer is so easy that I refuse to use it any more and switched over to an SD build.

I’ve been saying this forever. Warriors will lose EVERY fight against the classes you just listed as long as the players are equally skilled.

The really OP as hell class are meditation DPS guardians. The amount of blocks, blinds, protection, regen, overall sustain, and damage they put out is insane. You can straight up scepter number 1 warriors to death. No lie.

Anet wants to cater to extremely bad players. They’re trying to bring it more people who’s main games are “Candy Crush” or “Farmville.”

These are the people you see walking around WvW who can barely even rotate their character properly.

I’ve never played an MMO in my life and was perfectly fine with how the game was when it was released. I learned everything in a few hours. It wasn’t even remotely close to being in the same universe as “confusing” or “difficult” to learn. In a few days I was destroying everyone in PvP.

I mean with that argument we could all just agree that if we win to some of these classes, we are the better player, but if we loose they are OP/impossible to kill. It’s the same mentality that everyone has against the warrior and it doesn’t belong in these here forums mate.

It’s not a mentality thing. It’s just the way the game is. If it’s two equally skilled players dueling each other, those classes and builds will beat a warrior 99.9% of the time.

My guild does mostly duels and we’ve been doing it since the game has been released. We’ve dueled hundreds of players, each other, and I have used those classes/builds to fight REALLY good warriors and it’s easy mode beating them and I’m NEW to those classses/builds.

It’s not my opinion.

Conditions need a nerf for sure. You can spec full out condition cleanse (shake it off, zerker stance, stamina signet, cleansing ire, melandru runes, minus condi foods) and you will lose every time to a good condi engineer.

Warrior is far more superior with everything now than any other classess and those adrenaline nerf is not even a nerf compare to others. Warriors can’t under any circumstance (doesn’t matter what build) beat the following class/builds being used by equally skilled players in a 1v1.

Condi and power thief
Condi and power mesmer
Condi engineer
Condi Necro
Condi Ranger
DPS/Meditation Guardian
D/D Ele

You think playing a warrior against any of the above is easy? You’re funny.

I main thief and I am against this. When I’m in stealth and trying to land a back stab on a warrior I should be able to just spam 1 until it eventually hits. I’m pretty lazy and don’t pay attention to blocks like shields or aegis so as long as I can just keep mashing my number 1 I’ll be happy.

I’m pretty content with playing D/P because I can basically just do blinding powder > heart seeker, and back stab and win even against good players. I normally just farm PvE stuff and using this combo makes it easy.

Please don’t make it so blocking reveals.

Yep, scepter/focus ele burst is pretty OP and I love it. They better not change it.

I love the fact that I can almost insta down most people with the burst. They can’t even see it coming and there’s zero chance of dodging it.

It’s a pretty strong setup for the amount of damage I can do. If for whatever reason I’m getting overwhelmed by my dead target’s buddies, I can just pop mist form > obsidian flesh > lightning flash > fiery greatsword and no one can touch me. I actually prefer using my zerker ele over my thief because I am guaranteed to escape and not a single thing can be done due to obsidian flesh.

Huge reward and zero risk.

I can’t tell if you’re trolling or if you’re really just not smart.

I main warrior and have for the majority of my time playing the game. I’ve said for a long time that it needed nerfed. Why you might ask? Let me give you a run down on my warriors stats.

In WvW with guard stacks and bloodlust stacks:
I have 3040 power, 3036 armor, 37% crit, 184% crit damage and 30k HP…

I’m running PTV armor with zerker trinkets and weapons and hoelbrak runes. My roaming build of 2/0/6/6/0 coupled with healing signet and shout heals grants me more sustain than any other class could DREAM of having. Also having over 3k power sets me dealing more damage than most people can do. My typical eviscerate on any opponent hits for 7k-10k.

I’m running Axe/Warhorn and Hammer for roaming. Condition clears with my warhorn = even more sustain. Merciless Hammer trait gives me 20% more damage to foes that are disabled in any way, so every time I drop my 3, 4, 5 or F1 skill with my hammer on them, I deal 20% more damage, all while still having 3k power WITHOUT might stacks.. I typically have a full up time of 10+ stacks of might even solo roaming thanks to how broken strength sigils are and FGJ and Signet of Rage..

With cleansing ire, my adrenaline bar pretty much stays full in combat, so I’m not worried about losing my adrenaline out of combat at all. Thats also adding to the sustain because every time I drop my F1, I clear 3 conditions. When my adrenaline is full, Adrenal Health gives me right around 400HP every 3 seconds, all while healing signet is giving me 380 every second. Thats roughly a 500HP regen per second, then go ahead and throw in using Dogged March, so you gain regeneration every time someone stuns, immobilized, chills or cripples you too?

Warrior is certainly too strong, no class has the sustain, capability to lock down, run away or deal damage in melee range. This patch will not kill the warrior, it will help balance it some more. Sadly enough, the “balance” still will leave warrior as a significantly stronger class than any of the other classes.

If you think that warrior has low sustain, you need to try out some other builds because you’re far from correct on it. I’ve got over 2000 hours logged on warrior and I know that these changes will not effect me in the slightest for my play style or my build.

You also do zero damage. You might think you do enough damage with those stats to some light armor classes but you really don’t. It’s not as useful as being full zerker. Our roaming group would ignore you in a fight and just save you for last.

Warriors can’t even touch the sustain and damage that guardians put out. Warriors will be free bags now for us.

Necros already completely demolish warriors and should never ever lose a fight to them. Now, warriors will be easier to steam roll.

Just add dueling to the Obsidian Sanctum puzzle arena area. PvE players wouldn’t have a single valid reason for not adding dueling in. All the big scary dueling that they’re afraid of would be out of the way on a WvW map.

The obvious answer is you CAN duel – make your own arena and duel away.

PvP was designed to standardize all the equipment so one does not have more bonuses than another player.

I don’t think we know how many players want dueling – I know I sure don’t.

Amulet PvP is boring. I wish people would stop bringing it up even though they JUST READ someone say that it’s lame and just not the same.

Here’s the thing. If you don’t want dueling implemented into the OS puzzle arena then do not go there if they add it in. Pretty simple right?

There are many people in WvW that hold “fight nights” and everyone meets up in the OS puzzle or other areas and duels take place. It would be awesome if we could duel our server mates in this arena using our very well thought out and custom builds and not some lame amulet build.

I want to be able to duel my friends who are on the same server as me using a proper build (PvP amulet builds are lame).

Can you please add in the ability to duel in the Obsidian Sanctum puzzle arena? It’s the perfect place to experiment with a dueling system and it’s far away from PvE players so they won’t get their panties in a bunch.

A huge portion of your players would love for dueling to be added in and this way it’s kept in WvW.

Sword main hand burst skill delay?

Warrior has this random delay with many abilities and it’s really annoying. I see this delay come up the most for the following:

Hammer F1
Sword F1
GS 3 (You can rarely use this as an evade because it comes out so delayed)
Longbow F1
Longbow 3

It’s always those. Every other warrior weapon attack is perfectly fine.

Terrible suggestion that keeps being brought up. PvP builds are not the same as WvW/PvE builds.

Good try but…….Wrong. I’m pretty much a 90% PvE player along with most of my guild. It would be fun to duel with friends while waiting for dungeon spots to fill.

Again, if you’re taking dueling that seriously then you need to take a break from gaming in general. Just because you lose to someone in an imaginary game your feelings should not be hurt. Maybe take up farmville or something similar?

I don’t understand why PvE players are so afraid of dueling being added into the game. What’s the excuse? “I don’t want my precious PvE filled with people fighting!” Is that the best you’ve got? Because you guys are the first ones to COMPLETELY FILL Lions Arch with stupid water balloon fights and costume brawls.

“I don’t want people challenging me!!!” How is this a good excuse? I won’t even touch this one because it’s such a terrible one it hurts.

There’s literally ZERO reason why dueling shouldn’t be added into the game. If you’re afraid of “1 on 1 confrontation” because you’re socially awkward and want to stick to farming, then just ignore dueling if they add it in.

It’s just a game. Get over it.

Every thief that runs offhand pistol is usually bad and just relies on the blinding powder crutch.

I main a thief and any terrible thief can win most duels by literally only pressing 5>2>1. It was sad and I’m glad it’s been nerfed a bit. I hope it gets nerfed further, actually.

If you’re losing to a warrior running zerker stance, stamina signet, shake it off, cleansing ire, AND condi reduction foods on your necro then you’re a bad necro. Even with all those condi clears all the “meta” condi builds will still wreck that warrior.

BTW, /yes or /no are much shorter to type and are quick ending animations.

You don’t have to wait for the emote animation to finish. Just type /dance and immediately you can move again.

This stupid bug happens almost every night to me. It’s been happening since the game came out.

I’m fine with draining adrenaline when missing a burst. I’m tired of everyone and their mom using cookie cutter axe/GS and hammer/GS getting a free pass when I dodge their burst and having them be able to do it again a few seconds later.

I’m not fine with adrenaline draining after leaving combat. I think that’s BS. If that’s the case then necros need to lose death shroud charge when they leave combat.

Guardian is the easiest class to play. Not the warrior. Guardians have so many “oh crap” buttons it’s stupid.

You think a warrior is “easy to master” but it’s actually not. You will get DESTROYED by any equally skilled DPS guardian, thief, condi engineer, mesmer, necro, condi ranger, and elementalist. All of these classes have a specific build that cannot be beaten by a warrior no matter what build the warrior uses.

Every class is better than a warrior. This is coming from someone who roams and duels 99% of the time.

I’m mostly speaking about WvW since PvP just has stale boring amulet builds.

That apothecary build using the guard utility for perma regen is straight up broken in my opinion and needs to be nerfed. It’s completely unkillable in a duel and pretty much the only two outcomes are that you die or you keep stalemating the fight somehow but you’ll never win. Perma regen, a lot of evades, troll ungent, protection, with a stupid amount of condi damage.

It’s comedy running this build by the way. You can 1v3 so easily and if anything goes south you just casually retreat and they can’t stop you.

Cleansing Ire is OP, change it.

How about conditions are OP? I’d like to see you as a warrior duel a good condi engineer, thief, necro, or healing apothecary ranger. You will not beat them. Ever. Doesn’t matter if you run zerker stance, stamina signet, shake it off, cleansing ire, and minus condi duration foods.

If you have ever beaten these in a duel it’s because they were bad players. An equally skilled player using any of the condi classes above will always beat a warrior. Every single time.
