This is really easy just need a group of mezmers with portal guns and portals and blinks. I don’t think reward is worth the time though. Also there is alot of skills that cause you to move. Especially for warrior and elementalists. So this is very doable

I am so kitten sick of stacking.

It effectively ruins all the dungeon content in the game. No more fighting the boss as it was designed. Nope, gotta all sit in a weird corner watching my cooldowns go off. Oh, and this time it decided to magically not work, so we have to go try it again.

I know all you professional dungeon runners are in love with the idea of cheesing down content to get it done faster, but for all of us that actually enjoy fighting bosses and doing PvE content, stacking is killing our love for this game.

I just have to wonder why ANet lets this kind of thing go. Why are they just enabling their playerbase to just cheat their way through dungeons? Doesn’t that go against everything game designers and developers are supposed to stand for?

I don’t know. I’m just so kitten sick of cheesing my way through every bit of content in this game.

because there isn’t a one hit kill aoe under bosses. If a boss steps on you you die or should get a buff that gives %50 hp or something like that. Oversized boss steps on you you should be kittened.

Although Anet has reconfigured the foundation of the game. Currently no vertical nor horizontal progression has been added to the game. So in the long run is there any strategy at all to builds? Anything that makes one player unique from another? There is nothing to work towards other then legendarys and they honestly arn’t worth the time you put into them for they are but skins.

Champ boxes give infinite skill points you can transfer between characters makes skills super easy to get I’m honestly more worried about the gold to gem ration being completely to high now it is 100g for mini sets which almost completely removes the collectability without $$$$$.

Why isn’t there an all server WvW tournaments. Why do we have gold silver and bronze groupings at all if people with best records always face each other now. This would give T1 groupings much more diversity and competition. Also you would be facing people you normally would never face which may make the battles much more interesting.

Or we will be singing like them if they sneak in an expansion on top LS. GW2 foundation has always been strong with GW1 and it has always been what will they do with it.

They are doing it in a WVW map so no they do not have GvG. Sorry i thought that was question. Those are also the tokens for keil and evon event that puts symbols by your name you get by voting. With china release i think they some how got to get all the living story content at once to catch up with us so we are all on same page. Not 100% on that though.

I still say we should have voted for evon for a better fractal without scarlet.

You would think that is what an open world elder dragon boss fight should be like though right. 1 Week open world boss fight event damaged soly by conditions would give accurate timeframe. with 7+ phases. And waves of mobs that completely wreck with natural disasters hindering progression. Complete with multitude of meta prequests events. Open world forum bosses can truly express scale Anet live up to the hipe GW1 made with bosses. Id like to ref. MLS boss fights and dungeons as references to epicness that no mmorpg has ever lived up to. 80+ content is where rewards can finally scale with difficulty with higher end loot tables. An areas where teir 6 mats can be bountiful. O and no way points so you have to fight your way through unexplored maps or if you help an event establish one and defend it so it is not destroyed.

I have a theory. I’d argue this most complaint of GW2 is lack of content so everyone bad mouthing it because there is to little to play. Leaving them disappointed and venting there anger in forums. So i think most haters really like GW2 and are dissipointed that the accomplished all the content. The amount of repetition needed to get legendaries probably didn’t help too. Honestly there isn’t enough content to have them in game. where you can get them through playing the game and not by grinding. That will eventually burn anyone out. And so love turns to hate.

issue with stacking is that players have no physical mass in the game or there is no poliexcusion principle so infinite stacking on one person for infinite field stacks in unrealistic and why zerg mechanics are laughed at. Easy fix give all bosses fractal shaman aoe which blasts that send you flying or foot stomps which one hit kill. Cause really if a dragon steps on you, you are dead regardless of formations. I would like to add that formations in wvw would be awsome but only way to relistically do it is give squad formation and movement controls to a commander give squad + and – formation buffs which can go with some commander wvw level. This will allow a focus on 100% skills used. However, you know there will be trolls running zergs off cliffs then and such probaly no way to implement formations. and staking is ridiculous to say it is equivalent. I would like to add a human pyramid here but got no photo.

You could always reroll to advoid him considering swamp is always first you only really wasting what 2mins to avoid a fight you don’t want to fight.

you know to use mini map to avoid his back stab and agony right u can track him when he is stealthed.

Guild wars 1 in order to add difficulty added mobs above the level cap. In Gw2 we saw this in high level fractals before the update to add difficulty. Shouldn’t new maps be over level 80? difference between mobs and player level is known to influence drop rates. Would make these areas have high difficulty. Be great zones for Teir 6 maps to drop or even assented mats.

This would make maps hard to solo and add significant guild/group content and extremely difficult solo content. Events in these areas no longer reward exp but large amounts of karma. War with dragons should add to your karma. Dragon maps should have strange mechanics. Dragons flying in skys of or should bombard surfaces especially at events like teq does.

Greatest weakness of GW2 is there is no scale with difficulty and rewards are logarithmicly scaled with difficulty. Bosses should at least have random mechanic rotation so it keeps us thinking on our feet.

P.S. When you add volcanic island chain please add eruptions. Failed megadestroyer events should have an eruption.

Filler mobs

Just an idea some battles don’t feel epic cause to few mobs. There is issue of scale up of mob quality cause stacking aoe they essentially run into area where they are one hit killed.

New mob which is group of 5 dragon minions with shared hp so harder to kill. but can get epic look of huge Zitain army we are all looking for.

Those who don’t know Zitain is not dead yet body was a fake and still have 3-4 maps of ore which are part of arah dungeon that are not open world yet. And make the world boss fight Zitain deserves. You know you want to Anet…

PVE Seige

Well, let’s run with the idea.

Why not take a fortress similar to a tower found in WvW and make a survival mode where a party of players have to hold it against increasingly larger numbers of enemies? Siege can be placed, gates and walls repaired and a lord that must be kept alive to keep the game going?

Maybe make a fractal of it, maybe make an activity of it.

Iunno musing over it while I nom a bagel.

That would actually be fun, have some mode like tower defense and we have a limited number of supplies. We earn more past each round (getting less and less) with some tough boss fights that we might actually participate in.

MMO Tower Defense… would be a funny concept not sure how it will work.

Only tower defense currently in game is the one char guild mission and it is awesome but requires allot of coordination and roming defenders cause mobs cant be deargoed off supply without interrupts and push/pull. Some of the defend events especially in ore should be more like this where there are thousands of mobs rushing in rather then scale them up in power it makes more sense to scale them up in quantity.

GW2 subscription will be its expansions. Point out first expansion will always be longest wait cause they have to establish expansion system for people who buy and don’t buy. Just because one hasn’t come out yet doesn’t me one wont also established trend of similar games expansions every 2 years. And yes I know gw1 did it faster.

Anyway justification for subscription has always been maintenance cost/profits and not for adding additional content to a game. But cost of subscription cost almost never equals the additional content in game added. You never get contents worth of 3 games a year that is you $15/month. If they did it would be legendary game that everyone would play. WoW only successes was because it had little competition and that only happened cause they sued Anet and prevented GW2 from coming out for 5 years.

I think most complaints/anger of GW can be directed towards WoW and the stupid law suit. Cant believe they cant counter sue for deformation of brand product or something.

Commander tag

Few things:

-Guild missions needed significant coordination with PVE also a few of the hard world bosses needed the tags. Im a PVE commander

-WvW if you don’t know the good commanders on your server who do wvw each night are on mumble/TS and are proven you must not do WvW enough to be in the know.

-Lastly romming multiple groups is strategy and tags lets you keep track of them. You must have never seen 12 squads coordinate to take everything at once. Dispersion is especially good strage vs karma trains and large zergs.

Community WvW is strong on most servers->I’m on magguma and we got at least 20 commanders that do rotations on different maps are are extremely well known. In fact I would argue only reason we cant break tier 1 wall is no morning coverage but that is an issue with most servers. WvW commanders you can tell how experienced they are by fallowing them for a few mins (do they supply up do they do supply checks do they drop right amount of siege and type for what they are taking do they drop siege themselves).

Rather than grinding for 10 hours straight, developer reminded you we only allow you to play for 1 hours, please go take a rest.

Why cant we build siege to kill world bosses. Would be realistic way to kill dragons. Would allow for more mobs and stronger mobs to be introduced in events. Introduce new level of strategy. stepping on monsters toes shouldn’t do anything. A bolder to the face is another story. I apologist if this was already a thread. Could also introduce pve supply in major cities gained from edge of the mist matches.

Commander tags should NOT be buyable for many people that don’t even know what to do with it.

suggestions make 2 version of commander tag a pve and pvp one

split the price of the two to 50 gold each + a required thing to do

the pve version can be earned by killing hardcore bosses like teq/ triple trouble or some other ways in pve

the pvp version can be rank required like atleast rank 100-200 before you can pay 50 gold for the commander tag

edit: And maybe remove all commander tags atm and return the 100 gold to the owner and then if they have enough rank or have killed any of the main bosses they can buy it back (the main bosses can be tracked with the achievements so that shouldn’t be to hard to retroactive this requirement

If you join the squad of the commander you like don’t you only see their tag?

But who said the GW2 gold is same gold we use IRL? Real gold became valuable (before it had any technical uses) only because it was rare and shiny. In GW2 there are rarer and shinier metals. Gold is just another metal and has no reason to be expensive.
Gold coins have their value based on marked and the fact it’s accepted currency in whole Tyria. It’s all about system, not real value of materials – this one was true only during “item for item” trade.

Enemy Siege Weapons-Why do we destroy them?

So many rams get left right in front of gates. Why cant we use enemy siege weapons that are just sitting there. Why would we destroy a siege weapon rich tower and then remake them. This includes golum suits Add a dismantal command on siege weapons recover blueprint or supply. But a tower full of siege weapons why would you destroy them.

The counter to this would be siege weapons may only be destroyed if controlled by an enemy player. Also trolls might do who knows what with this.

This might force people to defend more because enemy might gain your defenses and kick your kitten with it.

If this was changed to kitten it became something not intended

Another thing they could do is make weapon use 100% causmetic and make damage based on weapon mastery category of your account. Makes an actual purpose for that section of achievements. Also give damage bonus based on slayer category and effects based on title we have. Overkill should increase our crit damage… There is a lot of things they can do to introduce character customization and spauncer character development over time.. however the issue is always in the balance.

However, the balances would take forever. Solution make each effect so small that there is no necessary balance so that sum of the effects are impactful but individually they ultimately are not.

GW2 has a great foundation but anet really hasn’t shown what they want to do with it yet. But i would like them to show everything they implement has a purpose.

If gold in real life was as plentiful as in gw2 it would be worth only 75 copper too rarity is always driven by abundance and scarcity. The model for gw2 is not earth so prices for material does not have to be the same.

Guild Wars 2: Into the North

- New Region: Explore north past Frostgorge Sound into territory soundly claimed by Jormag in an attempt to gather more current information for the Pact. Join intrepid exploring teams dispatched to the Far Shiverpeaks to blaze a trail seeking something which could help fight the dragon of ice and storms.

- New PvP: “The Mistborn Arenas”. A new place in the Mists has become visualized, where groups fight for the entertainment of observers. Each arena is one group against another, with some quirks and tricks to the arenas, as well as slightly different goals. Some arenas, the goal is to ensure all the opponent’s team is dead at the same time. Some other arenas, it’s to control a central point uncontested for a certain amount of time.

- New Feature: Wandering Merchants. A few brave souls wander Tyria peddling wares from one race to people from another, telling tales of wonders and terrors out in the world to entertain their audiences. But they also bring with them unusual goods, which are for sale to those who can pay. Wandering Merchant events can be found throughout Tyria in the zones, and for rescuing them they will turn up the next day in your Home Instance. You may only have one of each races’ Wandering Merchants at a time, and they will leave after that day is over. They will sell interesting new looks to add to your Wardrobe, or tasty exotic food and drink from their homelands.

- New Titles: Pact Trailblazer. For exploring the frozen north and setting up base camps, you will be able to boast of these accomplishments to other adventurers. Each area has a base camp to establish over a chain of Dynamic Events, and then keep secure long enough to become mostly safe. Doing this will earn you the right to wear the Trailblazer title for that area. If you succeed in gaining all the titles, you may be recognized as a Master Trailblazer. (Note: Titles not guaranteed to impress NPCs, Mist Warriors from other servers, or asura.)

- New World Bosses: Trespassing into Jormag’s frozen realm is fraught with danger, and some dangers are not the type to take lightly. The Voice of Jormag is but one terror which can strike any of the base camps which have been established, in an attempt to break the Pact’s spirit.
And other, older things still stir in dark places and have no connection to Jormag. Beware the vaettir who haunt lost steadings Jormag or his followers have no interest in. Or perhaps one should worry about old tales of ice wurms greater than Issormir which hunted the snowy cliffs, able to give norn pause before tackling them.

We won’t go north till a norn cuts the tooth. And i bet Eir will used the reforge flaming sword to do just that

Some bosses when they spawn and when you fight them cause the earth to shake. Claw of jormag crashing for one. unless you where in magguma jungle I wouldn’t attach it to Mordy. It happens quite frequently unless it had a really long duration 5mins or more i wouldn’t think it was that out of the ordinary.

you can make 100g a week by playing 1 hour a day. Fact you can make a legendary in less then a year is still within Anets expectations. So don’t expect massive changes from then to make it easier.
