Started a Hearts and Minds story with 3 players … they both died and they respawned in the penalty box , i was the only one left and finished the fight alone .. so Mordy was at my feets and defeated and i couldn’t do the finisher move because the one who could do it was also the player who started the instance and he was in the penalty box and the kitten idiot was AFK … thats right AFK .. he never returned after 20 minutes of waiting … last resort was to kick him and see if it was possible to hold the instance .. but nop … we lost everything.
There is this item you need in part IV that requires you to kill risen gorillas while carrying a cub. But there are 3 areas where risen gorillas could be and only one of them is working for the collection. Only at Winter Knell Isle seems to work for this part of the achievement.
I started with killing gorillas in south at the jumping puzzle, after i went killing risen gorillas around temple of melandru and all gorillas didnt gave me the collection part i needed while the description just said “kill risen gorilla in cursed shore”
I killed severals Gorillas with no luck then i remembered the Gorilla event :
I solo that thing in 13-16 minutes .. uses the boulders .. they are everywhere. You have time to gather 3 or 4 on the same spot before the lovers spawn. If you can’t manage both at the same time lure and trap Renala in the corridor.
I reported many many times the chains bug to disable the traps … no fix yet .. i think it’s broken for more than a year now.

lol .. no iv seen AFK Ranger pet & Necro minions killing Separatists in blazeridge steppe or the nightmare court in Mount Maelstrom for the bags.. in a couple hours you can get a decent amount of linen and leather .. so yes you can let your client run like this for days and occasionally play your 20 mins. this is unfair and should be not allowed

You initially will get some coin/trash drops back, but DR kicks you in a matter of minutes if you kill the exact same 5 mobs over and over again.
That’s not correct. Pet only kills don’t give anything. I’ve routinely had a pet agro something I didn’t walk by or get agro – it’ll kill it and run back, with no xp for me.
i know a druid with a bristleback pet and he/she farm separatist in Blazeridge steppes. I play on average between 3 or 4 hours per days … when i log in he is there .. when i log out he is still there …
The separatist spawns always at the same place and the pet kills everything .. and yes the druid is getting loot as you can clearly see the golden particles(autoloot) flying from the separatist corpses to the druid …. probably farming the bags from the separatist for the linen …. and this is going on since weeks .. i presume the druid is getting something out of it otherwise i don’t see any other reasons for doing it .
it’s a video card overclocking tool but there is a utility that comes with it and it’s called Rivatuner statistics server and this is what you need. You don’t need to run afterburner to make it run. Just start the Rivatuner statistics server and you will see option to limit your frame rate.
You can make profiles to limit your FPS with different EXE if needed, you can turn off the on screen display if you wish. This FPS limiter always worked for me in every game.
The Gem store item Aviator box will be renamed ‘’ Box of hats of leadership ’’ , the function remain the same : running around everywhere while making funny noises and bad decisions.
i don’t see any reason to use a M2 drive unless you really want the M2 form factor .. small pc . tablet .. etc ..
because 2 x SSD 250gb in RAID 0 ( 5xx gb ) is a lot cheaper than a single M.2 512 and you will get similar performance …
i have M.2 slot in my motherboard and i can’t justify to buy a M.2 drive while my 2 old Crucial M4 SSD in RAID 0 allow me to get above 1Gb/s read speed. Where i live , two samsung 850 evo 250gb drives is 100$ cheaper than a single 950 512gb.
M.2 is nice when you get a new computer or if you upgrading from a old HD .. if you already have a Solid state drive … it a waste of money.
Even if you were able to harness all the power computing of the NASA this game will always run as fast as a powerpoint presentation not matter what. Playing on a laptop will always make the experience even more painful because the hardware is crippled VS the desktop counterpart. Many game will run like a charm and perform very well on your laptop but not GW2.

Im the same boat as OP .. my guild is casual and mature guild .. we tried hard .. really hard .. but nop we can’t kill VG .. so im here with my 250 Magnetite shard earned only with wipes on VG. 2 weeks have passed since the last organised attempt , so i can only conclude that we dropped the ball on the Raids entirely.
I don’t want to pug , i don’t want to pay for Raid kills .. so this is it : I paid Hot Full price like everyone else and i will not see lore/content/reward that is added to the game….. never ever. A.net always provided different ways to obtain things , want a legendary backpack ? do PVP or do fractals if you don’t like to PVP so why it would be different for the legendary armor ?
You have plenty of options to raid that you are ignoring:
1. Have someone who is experienced with raids diagnose the problem with your guild group.
2. Join another guild to raid.
3. Join a learning run.
Legendary armor is just a skin. Are you upset that you’ll never get the pvp legendary? Are you upset that you’ll never get liadri? It’s OK to have skins tied to certain content in the game.
As for lore, I can tell you there’s not much there. But if you really care, ask someone to open a finished instance for you. Or watch a YouTube video.
Some problems in this game are design problems, and some are personal. This seems like a personal problem to me.
i actually don’t care at all for the legendary skin … i want it for the convenience of stats swapping. If a new stats combo is released i can try it right away .. this is the major reason why i have built 13 legendary weapons.
Not buying if it’s less than 5 maps
Not buying if they are on timers
Not buying if all maps are events driven ( not explorable )
Not buying if no new race.
FYI : you can already mouseover to see your daily / old monthly cap in the achievement panel. It’s in the panel where you can select your title .. put your mouse somewhere on ‘’ Total point ’’ in white letter ( top left corner ) .. well i don’t know what you mean by ‘’ clearly show ’’ … it’s clear to me … i see XX ap from daily XX app from monthly and XX ap from achivements.
The most prestigious armor in the game is rewarded by completing the most difficult content in the game.
And that’s exactly how it should be.
“Legendary” armor isn’t so legendary if everyone and their brother can get it.

You get different dailies vs the level you are … i have several accounts and i noticed that the Ascalon vista viewer daily was present and on my list on my account with a lvl 45 ( highest on that account )
When i switched to my main account the Ascalon vista viewer was not in my list but i received the reward while doing Field of ruins map completion. .. So yes .. there is something that is definitively mixed up.

Legendaries do two things … First is the animation you talk about .. the second is the death animation. You lose BOTH if you use another legendary in your main hand.
If you kill a foe with Rodgort you will get the ‘’ burning death animation ’’ but if you use Bolt in the main hand then you will get the ‘’ electrocuted death animation ’’ even if you killed your foe with a torch skill ..
see .. Main hand weapon override everything. Obviously .. you can’t have both effect at the same time .. so the Devs had to make a choice.
Legendary effect in the main hand will override offhand effects. If the weapon have a special swap/combat animation , you lose it too if used in the off hand.
I crafted 13 legendary .. you will get used to it too … i made Astralaria specifically for my Herald and i get half the effect .. so ..
Flameseeker got footprints recently , but you lose them if you equip a legendary in the main hand. Rodgort is unchanged since game launch but the same thing happen .. you lose the footprints if you equip another legendary weapon.
It’s always been in the naming policy that references to inappropriate bodily functions are against the rules when naming. Guilds and other character names with this particular bodily function have had to have a rename.
Character names get acted upon when other players report the name via right click. If other characters have that name, it’s because nobody has right-clicked and reported them for it, not because ArenaNet have suddenly started to allow it.
unfortunately you’re wrong , rules have changed. I got an answer for my ticket and the way i interpret this is if changing the display name was allowed i could have my name back. I can probably buy a new account and call it Flamingfarts if i want to and neved get suspended.

Sadly, display names and character names are different. Due to the number of things that can go wrong, we only change display names in the most extreme of circumstances. Unfortunately, in this particular case, as much as I wish I was able to give you FlamingFarts as your account’s display name, I sadly cannot
As Quigi points out, you’ll need to create a support ticket. If your name was changed without warning and you weren’t asked to select a new one then you should have contacted support and requested that it be changed to something specific, or asked for clarification on their action.
Name based decisions usually occur based on reports from people in the GW2 community, so just because there are people running around with similar names to what you had doesn’t make those names now acceptable. It just means nobody has reported those people. Arenanet do not personally review every single account or character name, they rely on people reporting those that are found offensive.
Yeah ticket done so wait and see.
BTW , We talk about a account name here not a character name. I doubt I’ll create and play a character with that sort of name. All i asked in the ticket is to get my original account name back. ( display name )

It’s a name i started to use 21 years ago. So today , yes , you may well be right, but now it’s a matter of principle. This why i said i’ll be happy with Flaming.
As i see many many new players is entering the world of Tyria. I can see several new fun names. Unfortunately my story is not the same .. 3 years ago .. more precisely it was during the last beta weekend event i got suspended for using FlamingFarts as my display name .. then as you can see someone thought Farming Flats was more appropriate.
Honestly , at that time i thought the display name was just a user name visible to me .. why im posting this ? its because i see more and more players using similar name for their characters IN game and nothing happen to them … then a recent post by ProHeals on reddit confirmed the recent change and you can see it it here :
Today I have a bitter taste in my mouth, and I think it is unfair to be forced to wear a name I have not even chosen or not to have had the chance to rename … seeing all that is happening today and the new changes I would like my name to be restored. I will be very happy just with Flaming. As the reddit post says .. if i want to be known as Flamingfarts then this is MY problem.
I don’t think it will be resolved , that i will receive an answer .. but I must say that my identity was taken from me. Someone can take Bathtub Fart as a name and be happy with no repercussion.

happened to me a few times and what i noticed is each time i was in invisible mode i DC.
So i’m persuaded that if you die in HoT story while playing in invisible mode you get DC. Each time it happened to me was during that quest you do in rabbit form.
Nothing but trash. No meta achievement for this event … players are farming wins. lots of players enter the games and if they are on the losing team they just bail out and find another game because there is no penalty for leaving .. just this make Dragon Ball a trash game .. it was the same for the snowball game in wintersday .. no one is playing seriously.
No incentive to complete all the lunar achievements .. there is no big rewards for completing x amounts of achievements .. do the Firecrackers and Fireworks achievements and dump the rest .. not worth the time to play Dragonball cheese game where everyone quit when they lose.
At this point it’s not available. They don’t want guild halls to become so useful that people go there instead of cities so they are not going to have certain services such as a trading post.
This has no sense , in the Guild Hall you can access your personal bank via the guild bank NPC and then switch the tab to your account vault, you also have access to your personal bank via the scribing station .. Is this causes the players to leave the cities? No.
There is plenty of players stacked on top of each other in every cities at the Bank NPC.
So even if they allow a TP in the Guild Hall .. the players will still continue to use the TP in cities anyway to show how they are beautiful. .. It’s Fashion Wars 2 First and foremost.
Wings in gemstore all day long, wings as legendary backpieces.. Srsly someone runned out of ideas? What happened to backpieces like fractal cap, toxic spore skin? Im guessing that all future releases will be wings only as well.

When I made Nevermore, I would say I easily opened 400-500 of each, cache, cargo, pod and chests, trying to get the 250 of each, on top of the already 800 of each item I needed for gifts, this is not how you get replay ability, if anything it burned me out so badly, that I haven’t been back into the HoT maps since making the Legendary.
I stopped to farm like a idiot when i realized that it was more time efficient to do 7 times the personal HoT story for 40 crystalline ore per run instead of farming each map for currencies to buy machetes and open RNG Noxious pods for a chance to get Crystalline ore.
Because they will sell you the ability to craft your own ascended trinkets as a new feature in the next expansion of 4 maps with meta events on timers.
I only use the right mouse button(hold) and WASD to move.
If you hold left and right mouse buttons simultaneously .. so your character will move forward and you can direct your character by moving the mouse … when you release both buttons your character stop moving.
this behaviour exist since day one .. not a bug .. it’s normal
