The trap is placed AFTER the heal skill complete and it’s intended ….

Trapper rune work the same : you get stealth AFTER you place a trap.

It’s a good idea to defrag gw2.dat file after each patch just to be sure this file stay optimal.

However if you are using a solid state drive there is no need to do this.

I finished my personal story a day or two after the Giant airship bug was fixed , i completed Victory or death solo with my Mesmer .. Killed Zaithan and received the rewards and all …. but no #8 ‘’ Victory or death ’’ in my journal entry

before entering Arah .. i remember the green star on cursed shore map , and ‘’ victory or death ’’ in the top right corner of my screen… looks like my journal didn’t updated.

I think the Hit box has a fixed size .. bigger than the smallest Asura and perhaps smaller than the bigger Norn …. but it is the same for everyone.

you can notice that when you play a tiny character with a melee weapon …. you hit your target but it seem to not make a physical contact .. if you play a tall and fat Norn you are practically on top of your target but the very center of your character Tall or small stand at the same place.

Sometimes it can be difficult to play a little character because you feel the need to stand very close to your target when it’s not really required.

This has been suggested many times and still gets a +1 from me Altho I do not say underwater combat is perfect since there has to be a solution for several things too:

• Every skills should be usable underwater, right now you are limited
• AoE skills should get a better place underwater
• Allied targeting needs to be a thing in order to help things like Throw Elixirs
• As you mentioned seperate trait lines

I love underwater fighting but it feels way too clunky atm. I would be a very very happy man if those changes hit in. But don’t expect it to be soon since this is quite big and HoT has priority

The lack of interest for underwater fight is because there is so little content and events to do …. why no underwater world boss ?

About the AoE skill ….. as a Guardian , our purging flame is now useless because it’s almost impossible to place .. unless you lure the mobs at the very bottom or near a wall. A simple fix can be the AoE skill become a Sphere while underwater instead of a flat gound circle ….

The lack of specific underwater gear don’t help .. but this will get a bit better since we will get a chance to get a ascended recipe for aquatic breather.

So im a whiner and a lazy person, ive crafted quite a few more legendary’s than you, and more map completions than you, so I think its safe to say, ive already rolled my sleeves up and did the work.

However I DID NOT say that they had to remove the reward from map completion just that they add a different way to get them, most people who have played from the very start do not want to still be mapping the game to beable to make a legendary weapon in a few years time.

it’s cool but i find that Light Adaptation is a pale imitation of true HDR effect .. i have it off all the time because it’s annoying. Ambient occlusion is great i use it , however the SMAA options are so weak even when set a high. my SMAA setting in my SweetFX are far more aggressive and do a better job.

They need to transfer more tasks from the CPU to the GPU like shadows and reflections.. then ill be happy.

Have you cleaned your GPU recently? The vRAM chips onboard usually have their own heatsinks but they aren’t cooled by the fan nearly as well as the GPU Core is(due to them being offset and not directly under the fan).

I would try cleaning the Finstacks on the GPU,they can get obstructed by dust very easily.

Did some cleaning with the remaining canned air (wasn’t extremely dusty, but dusty enough) I had and the anomalies seem to have disappeared. Thank you a ton, again! Very appreciated.

maybe it wasn’t just the dust …. sometimes removing and reseating a Video card in a PC-E slot fix things … you probably did both ( cleaning and reseating )

Personally , when traited (Expeditious Spirit ) Sword Of justice is really good on a burning Guard build , each swing burn foes + 5 Vulnerability .. i get around 2 600 Burning damage with my build.

The spirit shield is situational .. i use in conjunction with wall of reflection. When the wall is a at 22 second cooldown i cast the shield so the shield takes over when the wall end. Hammer life is too short , cool down too long .. even with a blast finisher it don’t worth it.

SpiritBow is totally useless .. make it shoot at foes .. water field on command ?

Today it’s all about condition damage and on this rune the condition damage does not trigger the mist effect .. also the 4th bonus is bugged.

Racial skill will be always bogus and weak … All race play the same … a Guardian Asura , human or Charr is still a Guardian …. By adding a race the only thing you will achieve is adding more clipping and bad visuals to the game.

Tengu ?? really Chiken head with feathers or a kitty head with fur ? Charr and Tengu are almost the same .. Tengu can’t fly just like the Charr … so i don’t get why everyone cries for a new race

I would ask the player base (well, you guys, since this is the forums): What would be an acceptable compromise? Most have seen the complaints about NPC’s spouting the same voice lines every half minute or so, so what solution would work to keep that from becoming a problem with our own characters?

I can understand , however Hold the Line was skill with a voice line that was not functional since 3 years .. it’s fixed now. Feel my Wrath shout is a recycled voice line from the Tome of Wrath elite skill ….

Healing breeze received the voice line from the Tome of courage .. so for the Guardian there is nothing new. Shouts are supposed to be shouts .. it’s important in several aspect of the game . PvP or WvW each skill need a visual tell or audible sound for your opponents…..

At world boss fight it’s annoying because the zerg is using all the same skill … for cities like Lion Arch I never understood why they allowed skills to be used in town. in Gw1 no no was able to spam skills … they should have locked the skills in Cities and added a permanent 25% swiftness .

i agree .. <<Feel my wrath>> worked during one week only … the last patch broke it.. since <<Hold the line>> introduction. Most of the time i hear nothing at all but sometimes i get the Fury voice line. 80% of the time my character don’t say anything.

Im playing a Norn female Guard .. same thing happen with my Female Asura.

However .. sometime i hear the Norn female voice line from others in the game .. i started to think if my own shout is silent to me but other hear it ??? i didn’t take the time to check with another Guard if i can hear his shout and then ask him if he hear it too.

OP , do you have a bloodlust sigil on your underwater weapon too ?

If your group if loaded with conditions and you want to save them and yourself know that you can still shout while using renewed focus .. So you hit Renewed Focus and then immediately Save yourselves so you pull all your party conditions on you but since you’re invulnerable you get no condition at all ….

Im planning on running full soldier’s gear (from temples) with a full set of dolyak runes on it and maybe assassin/zerker trinkets depending on what i find out from there

well no one use temple armor for the simple reason that you can’t salvage them .. so if you use VERY expensive runes on them … well say byebye to your runes you can’t get them back to use on another set of armor … your only option is the extractor on the gem store but anyone with a half brain will not buy this.

I dont know whats going on, but there is something fishy, Before the patch i was soloing AC dungeons relatively with ease. Today i must double the effort to achieve the same thing .. with my build i can kill a young karka in southsun with a single use of purging flame .. the same build struggle in AC and the same skill is … maybe downscaled too much. Well the damage done is not proportional .. it’s weaker.

It doesn’t make sense that i can go in silverwaste or any other lvl 80 zone and melt everything on my path with only half of my skills then going to a lvl 30 dungeon and unleash everything i have to get the same effect.

we will all use the tomes for instant lvl 80 but we will have to do at least 65hero challenge to unlock the rest ..

at HoT launch every Revenant will be the same : Fresh lvl 80 with no experience on how to play them.

Cause your displayname is your ID. Simular to e.g. the US social security number. It is how you are identified. By changing that displayname, you basicly whipe someones record clean. It also has consequences for proving ownership and if done falsly, it means that a victum of accounttheft has a lot more issues to proof ownership.

So it is not as easy as the charactername.

I know all that . Im sure it’s doable to change it visually but still have it linked to your old ID so you never disappear for example keeping display name change history. Pretty much like Valve Steam software.. you can change your profile name multiple time but your profile will always have the unique Steam ID number.

First of all .. there is NO benefit and NO gain for a multi GPU setup with GW2.

Top card will always get hotter because the other card below is cooking it no matter how good the space is between them. I owned so far about 5 or 6 Multi gpu setup over the years and ill never go that route again. Buy the best single gpu vid card you can and stick with it. If you really want to get multi gpus .. then your only choice is to watercool them or find a computer case where the motherboard is flat so the video card stand side by side and not on top of each other …

Are you using SweetFX / GEMFX ?? heavy use of shaders tend to stress even more GPUs … just for testing purpose .. try to turn off SweetFX if you have it and also the shaders option in game , i bet it will run a bit cooler. I know it will be ugly but try it for testing purpose.

Are you using more than one monitor ?? If all your monitors is plugged in the Top card , this card will never go in full idle clock .. for example a HD7970 run at 1Ghz in 3D mode at idle this card run at 300Mhz but if you have several monitors this card will always run 500mhz at idle.

You can make a custom profile to disable CF when you play GW2 and have it enabled when you play any other game. I suggest you to use a software like MSI Afterburner to make custom fan profiles because sometime the stock ones are not aggressive enough especially in a CF setup.

lowering GPU Mhz to fix blackscreen ?? not a fix …lol worst advice ever .. it’s a symptom for a bigger problem.

Your GPU is crashing causing the black screen … The cause can be anything

1- Bad GPU , can’t sustain stock speed specified in the video card BIOS .. yeah it happen. bad yield on the wafer but the manufacturer decide to use it anyway .. for example Powercolor Video card will die / defective in the first or two years of use .. just bad components …cheap stuff. or Cheap Mobo … compatibility problem , Bad BIOS.

2- Bad or poor unreliable Power supply , Vid card ain’t getting enough juice or too much of it

3- Overheating causing the video card to crash , any components on a vid card can cause crashes , VRM , memory chip , electric leaks .. etc etc ..

lowering your video card speed is NOT a fix/Solution .. search elsewhere.
