I can’t believe people are even trying to say that the infinite coin is pay to win
I have done whole World 1, and the first zone in World 2 on Tribulation mode. I don’t even have an infinite coin, I don’t even need it. It’s so kitten easy to get normal continue coins.

Shortcut Worm says “hi”.
Thing is, you don’t need the Shortcut Worm. It doesn’t save you any real time.
Supposedly Shortcut Eagle saves you a good 30 minutes or something.
I couldn’t even use shortcut eagle on Tribulation mode. While I could use his service, I just got teleported to the very beginning of the whole map.
My checkpoints were still up though, but I had to suicide to get there.
Why are people so kitten ed at the Trib nerf?

Tribulation mode is not really hard, it’s mainly frustrating while doing it, but feels rewarding afterwards.
It’s more about good memory and having nerves of steel when going through it without giving up.
As well you need to be aware of your surrounding, and abuse the devs ways of building the map. Some jumps requires fast thinking, and some jumps require dodge-jump, with dodge jump you can pretty much reach platforms that aren’t reachable otherwise, and you can walk past a great deal of traps and then jump down on a checkpoint.
So yeah, Tribulation mode is not hard, it’s more like time consuming, and show that you can stay calm and sane while doing it, while keeping track of the traps in your head.
You need to outwit and counter the devs. You need brain skills.
I’m done with World 1 all zones, and World 2 zone 1.
I don’t have an infinity coin, I don’t even need it.

You can spot the dart traps easily if you just check around the doors and pillars, you don’t need to speedrun the whole thing, just be careful, and then speedrun it when you know where they are.
Red ninjas have a small hitbox, and they are very annoying yes.
Is it too hard? Respect the awesome work

Rule #1
Learn to dodge-jump as fast as you can. When you can dodge-jump at will, it all becomes 100% easier, and you can even get to platforms you aren’t really supposed to reach, and get past many, many traps.
To be honest I dont think this developer-gamer interaction works as intended (from what Josh explained in his post) in my case. Becouse every time I get stuck on some part or keep ending up dead on some tougher jumping sequence, for the moment I start to hate the guy who conceived this. And since the man signed this project with his name and face, I start to think bad things about Josh and recite some curses directed at him in my head. It is not something I am proud from and I know it is bad that I have negative feelings over a game towards some guy, probably a decent guy in RL and all. But thats just how it works. If someone shows me the middle finger (some invisible spikes placements can be read as such) I dont see this as a friendly prank. It makes me rage and then the person responsible becomes my enemy. At least till I cool my head down. So yeah, people can read things in different ways.
First, stop think that everyone hates you.
Second, Tribulation mode was made of trial and error. You will walk and jump somewhere, and you WILL die, what did you learn? Not to walk or jump there ever again, and now you can make progress
Third, the developers are normal players as well, but with the power to create stuff in the game they play. The SAB team are players, and they think like this when they create something; ‘’If I played this map, what is the most obvious way to take? Let’s put traps there.’’
Tribulation mode is a joke. 50 Lives and still cannot get past 3rd checkpoint b/c of the BS rocks. I see what you did Anet.. made it like this to put in an infinite continue coin so we all pay you MORE money to do this. Well not happening for me.
And if people say it is suppose to be that hard.. No I disagree. For one I think the SAB should be doable by all. BUT it should require more challenge not this 1 hit and you are dead crap. That is just utter garbage. Seriously.. 1 hit and you are dead Anet!? Thanks for making me want to destroy my computer and uninstall the game.
Tribulation mode is not for you.
Try Infant mode, might fit your playstyle better.
Tribulation mode is like a big clockwork.
The moment a cog is not working together with other cogs (you running into an exploding flower, or falling down into a lava pit) it all stops working, and you will die.
But if every cog works together (you knowing what to avoid, when to jump, and what that hurts you) the clock works fine, and you will easily survive.
Tribulation mode is not rocket science. It’s really easy when you have memorized some of the traps. You just have to remember the patterns where to jump and where to walk.
I’m having a blast, I just finished whole World 1.
Risen Thralls don’t evade while attacking, do they?
No, they don’t.
It was just a comparsion, because Risen Thrall is the enemy who have killed the most players in the whole game, I believe it was, that ArenaNet reported.
Well, at least in the Super Adventue Box.
So this guy is the new Risen Thrall?
and the trip towards P2W is one step closer…
Want to do trib mode… sorry you will need to buy this “convenience” item or spend 99% of your time grinding coins and only 1% of your time actually getting to play.
Your idea of ‘’Pay 2 Win’’ is so out of the window.
He totally says ‘’Lamp oil’’!
You can not get a legendary from profession boxes.
I think it’s good that ArenaNet is updating, and upgrading the world, to make it as good as possible before they go to other areas, as they said. Tequatl fight looks really cool now.
However, announcing it something like ‘’We have heard the community and we are giving it to you’’ and call that the ’’big’’ announcement of PAX, it’s just…
The reaction felt very much like this.
Attachments:
Flame Dye is the -only- dye that makes the cloth piece on Human Heavy Cultural Tier 3 look red, with a white® background, also it enhances the details on the armor a lot, same with the belt, while all the other dyes makes it blurry.
The other dye is Pyre Dye, which I use on the plate armor. Similar to Flame Dye (and almost all the other dyes from the pack) it enchances the details a lot.
Sadly, those dyes have to be RNG…
Love the Vizunah tactics we got to see the other day.
Our zerg rushed inside SM. Vizunah blob, casted veil to retreat
I found an interesting site about the new update on September 17th!
Well, yeah.
Dulfy has been known for long
The bad part (in my opinion) is that ArenaNet is trying too much to put hard content interested players together with non-hard contet interested players.
That being, hardcore players playing the event will caps-lock non-hardcore players to death if they don’t do it the right way.
Also, large scale events are not that interesting since it just lags on most computers and you can’t see anything to begin with because of all the effects.
They should make things like this instanced, like a raid, or whatever, with 30 people max, I don’t know.
It’s cool.
But hardly something worth announcing at PAX.
I even want ArenaNet to remove more waypoints.
Like the outposts in original Guild Wars. The distance between some were huge.
Terrible LFG, why don’t stop to do stories and start to make the game better?
new dungeons? balance the dungeons? better wvw map? more weapons?
Isn’t that what they add all the time?
Josh Foreman.
I consider myself a master puzzle jumper. I will put your SAB world, and tribulation mode to the test.
Cheap mechanics or not, whatever people call them. Instant death, unforgiving vanishing platforms, apples or cherries that flies sideways and kills you.
The word cheap is for people who can’t bother learning the mechanics behind it, and counter it. I will go through it all, and I will beat it all.
I’m just outside the box, Josh. OPEN IT, I DARE YOU!
(edited by Farzo.8410)
Scanning through Dulfy’s coverage, it is comprehensive but not 100% complete (not that it could catch every word). The bit at the end is misleading, though. “Polymock” wasn’t the last word. When asked if there were last words, an audience member shouted “polymock” and a dev responded, “Polymock. That’s a word.”
As printed in Dulfy it could make people think a dev was making a hint at plans for Polymock.
It was Martin that said that.
I’m pretty sure he said ‘’Polymock? Is that a word?’’ as a joke to wrap it up so they could get ready for the tournament.
Suggestion : Tribulation Mode Legendaries

It sounds cool, but I have to say no here. SAB so far we know, is not permanent content. It will be taken out after some time again.
So, sadly, we have to stick with credit-card weapons.
One thing I do like is that SAB will now award special colored weapons.
Meaning……………………………………………………………………………..?
Loremaster on the stream said that Evon Gnashblade only was a secondary character compared to Ellen Kiel, and all the other Living World characters.
Aka, not as important.
Evon Gnashblade confirmed being a secondary character.
:(
Not all new content is catered towards you. Deal with it.
That is true. But somehow I read that (and most similar comments) as “I am better than you, get lost noob!”.
Correct.
But make it sound more friendly to fit the forum FAQ!
Lol
LFG without new dungeons. After 1 year. Congratulations to the Chinese.
It’s a LFG tool for more than dungeons.
You can open different tabs that are looking for groups for everything.
Even better, you will need to talk to people. It will not be automated and teleport you to the dungeon, or whatever said place you are searching for.
AGREED I’m glad to see that it wasn’t just a “click button… wait… get ported to dungeon… do dungeon.. the end”. I’m glad it’s more or less the same as GW1 but with incresed functionality.
Well some of us like to play games not for socializing. Dont see the big deal when you type LFG in map chat during zerg farming and get on with the business of farming instead of chatting with your new farm buddies.
Then don’t play an MMO?
Just pointing out the obvious, which some seem to ignore.
PS on another note..the people in the twitch chat…wow…just wow, I cannot blame anet for not responding to any of the comments
GVG please (TriHard face)
Even better, you will need to talk to people. It will not be automated and teleport you to the dungeon, or whatever said place you are searching for.
New Tequatl indeed, nothing too fancy.
kitten Vizunah you run fast!
If Original Guild Wars just had more players, I would be playing that instead.
I think so, but I don’t think they will be able to be put on the TP.
They included Infantile Mode for people just like you, Siliconmana! Yay!!! No more salty wounds!
This. They literally made it so that even people that were incapable of timing jumps could do it. What else do you want?
What do you think they want?
They want the rewards the Tribulation mode players are going to get.
Pretty much what was said above.
I don’t think I would be playing Guild Wars 2 at the moment if it wasn’t for the name ‘’Guild Wars’’.
I wonder if anyone could point one game, just one game with the next number in series that was made “different”, not “better” and was liked my majority?
Example of different: X-Com Enemy Unknown (imo this is exception – pretty good game but buggy), Diablo 2->3.
Example of better: Torchlight 1->2, Diablo 1->2.Any vets of previous game ever loved “different” next installment?
I don’t consider myself a veteran. I only played Original Guild Wars for 2 years.
It’s not in this game (yet) but what I truly hate is automated dungeon tools that teleports you to the dungeon. Such ‘features’ that exist in World of Warcraft, like LFD, and LFR.
I really hate it.
Pretty much what was said above.
I don’t think I would be playing Guild Wars 2 at the moment if it wasn’t for the name ‘’Guild Wars’’.
What pains me even more is that they only show Greatswords.
The Flameseeker Prophecies footsteps should spawn mini Mursaat when walking, that levitates to the sides and disappears.
Totally.
Each Tribulation Mode zone end chest will drop an item. You’ll need all three from a World, along with a weapon design purchased from Moto. Combine those in the Mystic Forge to create your Tribulation Mode colored weapon. Keep in mind we only have Worlds 1 and 2 right now, so the only colors available this release will be Green and Yellow.
Can you still purchase the old weapon designs like the greatsword from the previous release?
Josh Foreman said before that old weapon skins would most likely not return, but a new set would appear instead.
But I guess with Tribulation mode, and how building a weapon with a special colour was explained, the older skins will come back again(?) but not sellable on the TP.
Re-post with Official Dev Credentials:
The Tribulation Mode skins are color-shifted variants of the regular set. Each World has a color. Blue is the general SAB color (so not gained through Tribulation Mode), Green is World 1, Yellow World 2, Red World 3 and Purple World 4. This follows the Bauble value color scale. But don’t get your hopes up for getting the Tribulation color variants. Tribulation Mode is ridiculously difficult and time consuming. I don’t expect to see many green or yellow super skins out there. TM is there for a very small group of people who are into that sort of thing.
Are we talking as fun as Liadri or even more so?
We are talking about the man who designed the Clock Tower during Halloween, the massive whine storm that appeared from bad players who couldn’t jump but still wanted credit for something they can’t do.
We are far over the top here, we are far over Liadri hard, we are -far- over Liadri forum whine nerf.
We are in SAB.
Get your popcorn ready and get ready for chaos, get ready for even worse forum whine, get ready for something that is worse than people using the word ’’racist’’ in wrong terms.
Grab your tissues, but not for your tears, but for the amount of drool and popcorn that will appear on your screen for laughing your kitten off when reading those posts.

Josh Foreman as cool as always in the back. Well, it kind of looks like him though…
He’s probably not smiling, that’s why you can’t find him.
I couldn’t agree more with the OP.
It is great that Anet creates these awesome content patches for us but somethings just clash so bad here!
It was enough that there was one of these already during April fools – which actually made the content seem actually like a prank and as a “Funny thing”… but now.. Why!?
Keep the SAB in SAB. Don’t corrupt the beatiful world you’ve created with this junk. It’s horrible. The best thing about these recent patches is that I don’t need to take part in them if I don’t want to. Anet, please make sure that you do this again.
“Guild wars 2 is stylized, painterly illustrated, esthetic. Everything in our world feels handcrafted – artisanal.” -Daniel Dociu – Art Director (not copied from word to word)
“When you see art in our game – you say: Whoa that’s Visually stunning. I’ve never seen anything like that before.” – Colin Johanson – Game designer
What happened to these promises? The SAB doesn’t match either of those things said. I’ve always adored your art and style you created for this game but SAB is just a letdown.
And yes.. I played the Manifesto card! QQ
The art can already be seen everywhere. SAB style only appears inside SAB except som weapons that looks very Asura like to begin with.
So many people with 2 cents opinions.
Here’s my 100 dollar opinion.
SAB is amazing.
I think I can put my soul into a ’’Yes’’.
You will have to buy the Transmutation Crystals from the gemstore.
It wouldn’t make sense to not bring them back. Although, I’m wondering about what new skins there will be.
Josh Foreman said before that the old skins will pretty much not come back when SAB comes back, but new ones will appear instead.
