Instead of an elite skill, would you rather use an utility skill on your elite slot?
I think people overanalyze things.
I think ArenaNet just thought it was cool to give this thing six eyes without having any connection to margonites or Abaddon.
Music was great everyone here sounds like a bunch of old timers yelling get off my lawn! Reminded me of Duke Nukem a little.
If someone is crossing my lawn without asking me, and I discover them doing it, then hell they are in for a big scolding.
- and that this game is Guild Wars 2 and not Duke Nukem.
I cringed.
That was rather… lame.
I’d rather have that random echo girl voice speaking in the background again.
Looks like the Atherblade Pirate ship landing area in Twilight Arbor Aetherblade path.
This is the beginning of what may come, and I love it.
These enemies even starts ressing downed enemies up. If this continues we will see whole different levels in dungeons, where you have to keep the enemies away from ressing their downed ones.
I think most people are just afraid here that they will not be able to AoE farm certain mobs anymore if they get downed.
Names are reserved for 24 hours after deletion.
This indeed.
I know close to nothing about Mesmers.
But purple butterflies stuff works great together with rainbows.
The Legendary Giant Candy Corn… monster… thing.
Mad King Thorn’s army is far more dangerous than the Bloody Prince’s one.
Thieves are not really hard to deal with.
It’s just that they (in my opinion, obviously) are really boring to fight against.
Anything that can turn invisible and disappear whenever he/she wants to is really, really, really boring to fight against.
Some of the changes seems to be going in the right way, but it’s not enough in my opinion.
I still hope they will look into Spirit Weapons though, I really like the concept.
Guardian’s Spirit Weapons needs a change, the way they act now is not good enough.
I will give some suggestions.
Remove the timer, and let them be up until killed.
The active shouldn’t kill them, but I guess there is where traits actually come in.
Increase the health of them a little bit at least.
Spirit weapons could have a shorter cooldown, at least Shield of the Avenger and Bow of Truth, from 60 to 50.
or-
Make them immune to any damage if you want them to have a timer.
The active could still kill them if you have them immune to any damage.
I really love the concept of a Spirit Weapon Guardian, but they way they are now, they are not really needed anywhere at all. Only Shield of the Avenger is used from time to time, and that is in some fractal parts.
If the armor is skimpy, it should be skimpy for both male and female.
If the armor is full plate, defending the whole body, it should be so for both male and female.
Introduction instances that you play solo? Works for me, got nothing against it.
Minigames and activites that you can’t play with your friends and get forced grouping with random players? That is something you should work on.
Mad King Thorn is mary sue at being one of the better if not the best villain at the moment, even being the joke character he is.
Really like the look of that plate one. Let’s see if it looks as good in game.
Calling it.
Toxic Molten Aetherblade Alliance.
as long as you don’t make it grindy or something insane
like 50 skill points to acquire
Ha-ha-ha-ha.
Odd. I always thought the female greatsword stance was far more sensible.
In case of Humans, the Males hold the greatsword in a very brutal stance, like a berserker, not thinking about blows from infront of him.
While Females actually hold it in a Samurai like way, ready to counter incoming attacks.
I actually want Female stance on my Male Human.
Introduce costume slots that even existed in Original Guild Wars. Let us fight in these costumes.
- or do something fast with the whole town clothes and costume thing because now the whole idea is rather, eh.
Also introduce a Costume Maker that even existed in Original Guild Wars that kept your costumes for you, so you didn’t have to hold them in your bag or bank space.
I hope what Matt Visual and WoodenPotatoes said should happen to her.
She stands there talking, sounding boring and cliche as usual. And suddenly a big Elder Dragon just lands on her, crushing her or impaling her on its claw, or whatever.
- and that’s how Jormag/Kralkatorrik/Bubbles/Mordremoth/Primordius is introduced.
I’m just wondering what’s up with the lame voice to the trailer.
No need for an echo-spooky voice.
Guardian: Viable Spirit Weapons
Seriously, Mad King Thorn and Bloody Prince Edrick both makes awesome villains compared to the boring Scarlet…
If Guardian Shield of Absorption only lasted that long…
Honestly, they should just make use of Town Clothes in these modes. At the moment Town Clothes are rather useless and never used in anything.
[Spoiler!] What makes me interested is why he is locked inside a chest in Ascalon, near Black Citadel.
Some might have seen WoodenPotatoes mystery videos, one being about the gargoyles that existed in Ascalon, but suddenly disappeared, later on found in the Mad King’s realm.
Hello.
I was just wondering if someone knows if you can play with two Guild Wars 2 clients? As in, log on to two different accounts on different windows and play on them.
I noticed that I couldn’t open two different clients.
For those who are wondering ‘’Why would you need two different clients?’’ is that I like to create stuff, like small funny clips, call it ’’machinima’’ or whatever.
The thing is that I need a cameraman so to say, and my other character as the actor.
TLDR: Anyone knows a way to open up two different clients and play on them with different accounts?
Thanks.
I took many, many pictures of the Halloween content, but this is my favourite.
I hope Mad King Thorn craps over Scarlet.
I have a video that I want to share.
This is what I did during Halloween last year. I might trick instead of treating people this year too.
I’m getting tired of ArenaNet saying they are adding new features and then ‘releasing’ it only to a small amount of people while the continue work on it.
Don’t put anything in the game at all if everyone aren’t able to use it the first day.
Calling it; Caithe investigates Scarlet Briar further and then fights her. While Logan is going #yolo at Anise for holding secrets about the queen that he can’t take part of.
As I said, you need to buy the weapon recipe too. It cannot be discovered.
Alright, then I know that.
Now where do you buy the weapon recipes?
You have to buy the recipe. Cannot discover it.
Also need to buy the recipe for the item, cannot discover that either.
And celestial stuff didn’t get the chance to select stats. The MF was just removed.
Check my bag, it’s there, that is the Celestial Inscription. Still, it doesn’t appear in my discover to create a weapon or anything, and I was able to craft it too, but not to discover it with a weapon.
I wonder if people feel so clever or something when they create threads like these, like all the other threads that are named this.
It doesn’t even appear on my discover list when leveling Weaponsmithing. I’m level 445.
Anyone else having the same problem?
I can’t left click it to select stats, and if i right click I just get the option to destroy it.
To show that you got skills are many gamers wish, it’s in human nature to show that you are the top dog in some things and yada yada.
I my opinion, defining the word skill can be discussed for some time. Either way, I’ve been wondering, what ‘’proof of skill’’ does Guild Wars 2 have?
Is Liadri the only thing so far to prove that you got some kind of skill? Is the Super Adventure Box Tribulation Mode in some way a proof of skill?
Are these two the only stuff we got so far to show some proof of skill?
Aren’t there some PvP titles that only a small amount of people got recently, because they have been in tournaments and such?
Tribulation mode is just a kitten trial and error, very poorly thought out. A timed trial would of been more difficult, but this is just silly.
Oh, really?
It’s like Josh Foreman never said countless of times that Tribulation mode are inspired by games like Cat Mario and I Wanna Be The Guy.
Guess what kind of games they are? Trial by Error games.
Dodge Jumping isn’t required for anything.
I can dodge jump at will without failing. The only time I fail is when I aim wrong with the jump.
SAB Tribulation / Hardmode World 2 Guide?

She usually relies on the community to send her everything so she can then run through it herself to make her guides. This was more noticeable with this SAB release. Her guides have been about a day behind guides that are posted on here.
I guess.
She aren’t entirely alone though, she got a small team I believe.
First time I met him I had no idea what to do during that phase when he starts to chase you.
But then I started to run around the platform at the edge and he couldn’t catch me.
I finished him off by only using the glove on him. Never thought of using the whip on him since bosses usually escape cheap mechanics like that.
Like with the Bee Dog Queen, you can no longer stunlock her to death with the whip.

Probably, unsure though.
Dulfy is pretty fast with videos. She hasn’t uploaded anything?
^ Moon linked some.
I have no proof whatsoever if I did Tribulation mode with a guide or not. The only thing I can say is that I didn’t use a guide, because I like to figure stuff out myself, and I saw this as a challenge against Josh Foreman (and the other guys of the SAB team).
Also because I know I have loads, and loads of time completing this. A whole month is a fair amount of time to go through this.
The only thing I am guilty of is using a guide for finding the baubles in World 2 Zone 1.
And as said, I have not purchased an Infinite Coin, it wasn’t needed, and I don’t think people should think that it is necessary to get one either.
I see myself as a really skilled jumper. I love jumping puzzles. I just loved the Mad King’s Clock Tower, and I hope it will return to Halloween again, or maybe even become even worse.
Yes, I beat Tribulation mode, I now got a Wizard Greatsword and a Wizard Shield. Well, yeah, many has done it, many will do it.
The thing is, I didn’t even purchase an Infinite Coin, because you don’t need to, because you can get Baubles so easily, to buy Continue Coins, or they drop from other jumping puzzles.
I didn’t even have Baubles from last time to buy Continue Coins now.
So to all of you who says ; You just say it’s easy and doesn’t need a nerf because you got a Infinite Coin. All of you can relax, it’s far from Pay 2 Win as some of you love to call it, it’s not even close.
I even had fun doing it. The main thing that killed me the most was round edges, that you started to slide down from into traps, or out from the map.
Thanks.

Rule #1 of Tribulation mode.
Always take the long ways around. Never go for the most obvious ways that are right infront of you, except when you can do it, because sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn’t.
Rule #2 of Tribulation mode.
Get mindblown by Rule #1
That was pretty much the point of Tribulation mode…
It’s like ‘’I wanna be the guy’’ game. Nothing is fair, you need to remember traps to advance further. Josh Foreman have said many times even before the SAB patch that it would be like this.
Tribulation mode may not be for you, try Infant mode.
