‘’Advance in a different direction!’’
Me and my guild mate were basically standing in Lion’s Arch and chatting in /say
Since we both don’t use L33T speak and shortened words, we were just fooling around about how ugly my colour choice was for my gear.
A guy then ran up and said we made his day because he actually thought we were two NPCs that ArenaNet have created that had a random conversation, and he was watching us for a while until he noticed us being normal players.
I’m so flattered.
I don’t think you know what pay to win actually means.
Let me explain it to you.
Pay to win means that you can buy power with real life money, and there is NO other way to get it, this is not the case in Guild Wars 2, since you can get everything with either real life money, or gold.
Pay to win also means that you get stuff that makes you overpowered over other players, there is no such thing in Guild Wars 2, since you can still get everything with either real life money, or gold.
The only thing there is to it, is that people can get their exotic gear a little bit faster than a farming level 80 can, but the farming level 80 can get it as well without spending real life money.
So no, there is no such thing as ‘’Pay to Win’’ in Guild Wars 2.
I got the Collector’s Edition ‘’The making of Guild Wars 2’’ book.
I love how they were named Poobag to begin with.
I quote the book: The joke Coberly referred to was a creation Kotaki dubbed the Poobag. Kotaki explains, ''I drew this cute little thing and called it Poobag because that's all it was good for. We couldn't get the Poobags into the game because they were so stupid, so we changed them into the quaggan you encounter in the game.''
It’s sad that Kotaki have left ArenaNet, but you must go on.
I can’t remember, did Kotaki or Colin win the arm wrestling?
I have not seen one myself.
But when someone from ArenaNet appear, I will sure try to play with him/her, as a normal player, and do events, or dungeons, and he/she might be able to show me a few tricks!
Yes, that was an invite.
Joining in order is what you do in your personally story, I don’t think you’re able to change it afterwards after you have done so many missions with your order.
The armour you can buy is pretty much a bonus for each order.
Diego “Godot” Armando approves of this.
Malchor the Sculptor: DWAYNA!!!
I think Orr is interesting.
E-Sport players seems to like it, since it adds teamplay, and it can turn the battle around. Since this is what the game is about, teamplay, not running around solo and think you can own the whole map yourself.
Support your allies, help them rally, or revive them,
I say that Hounds of Balthazar are stronger, because the Mistfire Wolf AoE skill miss very much if you have to run around.
I thought DPS loved to tank, trying to overaggro the Tank and all.
Welcome to Guild Wars 2! Where your dreams comes true!
A trained eye can look through all the particles and see the true tactics.

Its not their elite skill its their class specific ability, like our virtues
Isn’t their elite skill called Lich Form like that?
I love it. It gives more sense of gameplay then solo play, they just need to balance the skills a little bit more, like, give every class a push back or disappearance.
I finally got my Ghastly Greatsword, it’s so beautiful. Now I just need to get Human culture armour Tier 3 which costs 119 gold total.
There is always something to aim for.
I would like the elite tomes to be another health bar. When you use the tome skills with like 50% of your HP left, a new HP bar will appear and slowly go down. If you get damaged the bar will go down faster, and when the elite skill is over, you will come back to your current 50% HP you had before.
Like Necromancers elite skill.
It seems like when you change zones, aka, going to another waypoint far away, the glow stops, even if it is night.
That would be something to fix.
Update
When you got it glowing, it seems you can’t change zone without the glow disappearing, even if it is night.
The glow also disappeared when I transmogged it into a high-end stat weapon. I will have to wait and see if the transmogged version actually got the glow or not.
Yay! Glowing = well worth it!
Always!
Update: It seems like you can’t change zone where it is night and then make it glow, it must become night on itself, and then it starts to glow.
// Happy Guardian
Hello!
I’m one of those players who farmed Ascalonian Catacombs exploreable mode to buy one of these weapons, it costed me 390 Ascalonian Tears.
However, the weapon vendor guys’ weapon starts to glow at night, and I thought ‘’Hey! I want that Greatsword, it will glow so awesome at night!’’ but that is not the case, nothing happens to it. It looks the same all the time, and I got a bit sad.
I remember the old concept art, as you can see, all weapons have a counter part, even that Greatsword.
But then it comes to, does it glow at night?
What I got so far
- Only starts to glow if you are in the zone and it goes over to night.
- If you enter a zone where it already is night, the weapons wont start to glow.
- If you already are in a zone, and your weapon is glowing, you can’t change zone where it is night, the glow will disappear anyway.
- Changing from a day-zone to a night-zone changes nothing, the weapon will not glow.
- The weapon never glows in dungeons.
So basically, the weapon only starts to glow if you are in a zone and it goes over to night.

Ogden Stonehealer was a dwarf hero you had along in the original Guild Wars. I always had him as my personally healer. When the dwarves later on went underground to deal with the Destroyers and slow Primordius’ awakening (They did not know Primordius was there, but they slowed his awakening anyway)
He turned into stone as well. He’s a member of the Durmand Priory, and you also see him in the start of Arah Exploreable.
If they are going to sell skins, they should sell new-thought up skins, or skins from Original Guild Wars, like the Kyrtan and Primeval Armour.
They should not sell skins that exists in Guild Wars 2 already on other stuff.
I saved her, but I can’t remember her being in Orr.
I think the home instance is ‘meh’ overall, I can’t see much stuff there that I have done, except for some Hyleks standing on the street, that I chosed to help.
My Guardian heal.
Sigent of Resolve: heals for 8,491 & removes condition every 10 seconds if passive is active. 40 seconds cooldown.
Prayer to Dwayna: Heals for 6,752 & 30 seconds cooldown. Looks cooler.
I want to use Prayer to Dwayna because it looks cooler, but the Signet of Resolve is so much better. So yeah, I wished they boosted them a little bit somehow.
Remember that this is a player helping player forum section, so you should create threads like that and not discussion threads.
But otherwise, I think Downestate in PvP is fun, and great. People must learn to adapt to new mechanics and learn how to use them. It also gives you teamwork and can turn a battle around a lot just by ressing your friend.
Remember that this section is for helping other players, so keep in mind to make threads which asks for help.
But yes, the game details are stunning. The talking NPCs, the piano you could play on in Ebonhawk, stuff you can pick up and use, and funny messages which are in New Krytan but you can translate it to english and read funny things.
And not to talk about the gravestones.
The item is bought once. It’s basically a transmute stone, which you transmute your current armour and stats into the Primeval looking one.
I would not recommend using it at level 1 since you will change armour a lot in earlier levels.
This section is to help other players, not to whine about not having gold
Remember that this forum section is to help other players, and not discuss general topics like this, just to remind you.
ArenaNet have pretty much locked threads like this.
But otherwise, yes the cultural armour is very expensive, but it’s something to strive for.
It’s a fantasy game afterall.
Remember that they must save things for future updates and expansions.
You can’t wear PvE armour in PvP. You unlock special looking PvP armour through chests that you get every PvP ‘level’ and by buying chests from the glory vendors.
The higher PvP level, the cooler looking outfit you will get, but it will still be as good as the first gear you get, only looking cooler.
Really hard to pick servers for people, but I would say that you should just join a server with High population if you want it to be crowded.
Do not recommend it though if you want to do WvWvW.
New weapon types might be added in the future, for expansions and such.
ArenaNet must spare some things for future expansions and not release everything at once.
http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/yxx3m/suspensions_for_offensive_names_and_inappropriate/
A lot of people have said they have been ‘banned for no reason’, but in the end, ArenaNet found the reason and they have either been total badmen in chat, or their name was rather offensive.
Also, your account might have been attacked by a goldseller, and ArenaNet have banned it for secure reasons. Write a ticket to support and they will fix it.
Now, i’m not saying that any of you have been badmen in chat, got offensive names, or your account is being targeted by gold sellers, but it’s been too many ‘banned for no reason’ and there actually is a reason.
