However, personal attacks is not something I stand for.

Hall of Monuments - Become something more?

Hall of Monuments is a place I love in Guild Wars 2. Even though it isn’t used for anything special than storing your stuff you have earned from playing original Guild Wars, and only people who have played original Guild Wars can go there.

As said, even though not being anything special, it is one of the places I love the most in Guild Wars 2. My question is pretty much for ArenaNet but other players can answer what they think about it too.

My questions is pretty much, will it become something more than just a storing place for your past achievements in original Guild Wars? Might it become a place that will show your achievements today? Will something fun be added in there?

Now if you do anything special with it, you can’t keep it away from other players. So, do you have anything on your mind, ArenaNet, that you think could be added, or perhaps even might be added in the future that you can spoil?

I got it a little bit hard imaging raids in Guild Wars 2 due to if it is more than 5 people it just feels like a zerg. It wouldn’t really be any tactics at all, since we barely have them in dungeons.

I would have been totally fine with the Ascended armor if it was just as good as exotic gear, but the infuse slot would be something for cosmetic stuff instead.

The infuse slot could just be for really, really, really awesome cosmetic animations that would appear on your character, or whatever.

Put whatever thing you will in your infuse slot and make wings appear on your character, a glowing aura which can be dyed, butterflies, bananas, carrots, bees, winds with leafs or whatever you like.

That alone is something I would have accepted, and something I would aim for.

But a gear grind for better stats? No.

I think it’s too late for ArenaNet to remove this feature. It’s not many days left left for the patch and this is probably one of the major ‘’selling points’’ of this patch, I would guess.

If they remove it now, the dungeon will be totally useless, and they would probably have to remove it too.

I would be glad if they scrapped this feature, it wouldn’t bother me if the dungeon would be useless for this time being, because I don’t like at all where this is heading.

And who knows? If they remove this system now with ascended gear, how many patches in the future they got now will be totally useless because it’s all built around this one thing.

Have you noticed the forums blowing up with whining? This is what happens when you announce content early.

They dont and shouldnt release patch notes early because besides the obvious whining, it has too many impacts on the economy.

I embrace all kind of content.

But gear grind, no. Not after what ArenaNet have wrote and talked about before, that gear grind is not needed in this game.

So basically...

Does Tier 3 culture armour seems right to you?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

I don’t care about the price, but I think they should be exotics. Right now after spending over 100g on a T3 set you need to throw another 10-20 gold for an exotic set and use 6 Fine Transmutation Stones. Why? Over 100g was not enough for that?

I spent 100 gold, and that’s all.

I got transmutation stones from completing maps, getting keys from personally stories on alt and open the BL chests and got transmutation stones.

Then I did Ascalonian Catacombs Exploreable mode and got myself full power/tough/vit gear, not spending a single gold more.

Yes, that is only 100 gold, I didn’t spend any more than that, and the price is absolutely fine.

Even though if we don’t have a lot of information, we react before it’s too late, and we might be able to make a change.

People just show ArenaNet what they DON’T want, and people don’t want treadmills, like ArenaNet promised themselves.

Even though this was not ArenaNet was creating, a gear treadmill, the community showed where they shouldn’t cross the line.

To all people writing like this.

Lol at all the people raging without nothing, you don’t even have any information yet.

Yes, we do not have enough information, but we can see where ArenaNet is taking this, and we are voicing ourselves LOUDLY to this.

Even though it might not be what we think it is, that they are implenting a new treadmill we have to go for, we are giving ArenaNet a sign of what we don’t want, that they should not implent treadmill, and we do that by exaggerating a lot, but it is to make ArenaNet open their eyes and think ‘’Right, this is what we wrote and promised in current blog posts, and this is what we actually should go after.’’

So even though we don’t have enough information yet, we shout out so ArenaNet just know where they shouldn’t cross the line, because it has happend before that devs have promised something but crossed the line anyway, and we, as a community, can make them open their eyes.

The name for this creature was actually Poobag in an early concept art made by Kekai Kotaki.

They wanted to bring the creature into the game, but it couldn’t be named Poobag, so they named them Quaggan instead.

They were named Poobag because it was such a sad creature that always ended up in trouble and had problems.

If they can implent it right and make it interesting and useful to the game I have nothing against it.

But if it’s going to be anything close to the World of Warcraft kind of fishing I think we are better off without it.

The fishing is very stale and not that interesting. Standing still waiting for the bobber to move. No thank you.

There is one thing that puzzles me… Tyria is such a wonderful place, every view looks like it has been painted…. But almost all the players (myself included) fail to take note of that and just rush from zone to zone, event to event, never slowing down to take notice of the beautiful landscape around them.

Now imagine finding a solitary rock over a river, getting your fishing rod out and start appreciating Tyria in a whole new way…

Might be that for you, and other players, but not for me.

I have been exploring this game a lot, I have looked at it’s beauty and taken in much. I have stood in the same spot for many minutes just to look at one thing, and whatnot. I have learned New Krytan to be able to read the stuff ArenaNet writes, either it be posters in Lion’s Arch, or small hidden writings on stonewalls in a hidden area.

Even if you implent fishing, I don’t think other players will stand still and take in the scenery. They will just start fishing, grab the fish, and then continue elsewhere, doing it as fast as possible, as with everything else.

Even though fishing, World of Warcraft style could be added, I don’t think it’s really something new and exciting. I think ArenaNet could remake it even better, cooler and more interesting than anything if they want to.

There’s only one reason for tier 3 to exist and that is purely for appearance.

I have completed the set and I’m so happy about it. It makes me stand out from the crowd and the price should not be nerfed in any way at all. Just because you can’t get it instantly, it doesn’t mean you should get everything handled over to you on a silver plate.

This armour is something to work for, and if you want it, work for it. Otherwise, don’t just because you can’t have it instantly.

Inspired Virtue

in Guardian

Posted by: Farzo.8410

Farzo.8410

This was the point of the Guardian.

You decide if you should activate the virtues for the greater good or keep them to yourself until you find the time fitting for them to get activated.

Boss is charging a huge attack, do you use Virtue of Courage to help your allies?

Your allies got hit by AoE, do you use Virtue of Resolve to heal them?

It’s time to burst the enemies down, activate Virtue of Justice to make all of your allies making more damage.

Giving virtues up is always a good thing, I never keep them to myself.

Guild Wars 2 is in a balance phase.

When you balance a game, you shouldn’t have a lot of different game modes, you should go with one, and then see what professions needs tweaking, nerfing and buffing, and when ArenaNet feel that they are somewhat done with that, they can start releasing new game modes

Yes, but they should also have a bunch of content ready to be released when the balance is at a good place…which they do not.

And you know that how exactly? That they don’t have anything to release when they feel done with the balance?

The cultural armor set prices

thing people seem to miss that are defendign the current t3 pricing is…

in headstart it was MUCH cheaper… comparable to where t2 pricing is now.

No, it was not, the Cultural Tier 3 set have always been up at 119 gold, and it has never changed.

People seems to mix this a lot, but it was not Tier 3 price that changed, it was the Vigil, Order of Whispers and Durmand Priory armour sets that changed.

Tier 3 was never touched.

The cultural armor set prices

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Farzo.8410

Farzo.8410

i wonder if at the current price, maybe make it legendary. then players (like myself) won’t complain so much about having legendaries be super-unattainable. because then we can just get legendary cultural armor, instead, and feel a little bit better about it.

Well, it doesn’t matter, really, you only buy it for the looks, and nothing else, the colour of the name has nothing to do with it.

It wouldn’t be any difference if it was masterwork, rare, exotic or even legendary, it exists only for one purpose, and that is for the looks.

If you think it costs too much, then don’t go for it, there’s pleny of other armours out there with better stats and orange names, but this one, this one I will farm for, and the price is fine. I’m soon done, I just need the legguards and the helmet for a complete set, though I think I will skip the helmet, for now.

The reason for a lock was not really the thread itself, I believe it was that no one was posting anything constructive.
