Does it matter how bad a trait for me to wont to know more about it and how it works? Why would you even commit on how bad it is and dont use it for questions regarding the mechanics of it?

I’ve check the wiki for Assasssin’s Reward and doesnt seem to say.

Does Healing Power effect/boost the healing gain from this Trait?

I do a Condition thief that uses Signet of Malice to spam Death blossom, I gain lots of healer per DB, if 4-5 mobs I hit i will gain over 4k Health per DB.

I dont really need anymore healing, but I would still like to know and test it out, I cant really test it out well enough to say if it does or not.

This could be very useful information.

I am 100% D/D my build doesnt work any other way.

My build is a Death blossom spam with High Healing Power and Signet of Malice, In a 5man mob (I pve only well and wvw, not pvp) I acn heal for 4-5k per Death Blossom, then my Caltrops heals me too.

I can solo 90% Group champs and 2-3 vets in SSC at same time, the more mobs the more I heal, I do have a hard time with conditions and 1v1, I have no condition removal, so a 1v1 against a necro or a heavy condition class will kill me very easy.

But I love d/d, my Zerk build is d/d too.

In wvw I do use s/d sometimes tho, mostly SB:D/D

Yes this needs to be changed, Everyday when I play on my thief (that is 100% conditions thief and even if I go full zerk gear the way my traits are set up I still would be doing low damage, yes it would be more damage than 2 CD thiefs, but still isnt justified).

Everyday I play and I get a thief with me in my party I always ask (before even doing into dungeons or events etc…) “Are you a CD thief?” if they say “Yes” then I chance characters right away.

This is a big problem, lots of groups will have multi condition builds, and conition bunker builds being the most popular for dungeons and group events.

There are times in dungeon runs we have 3-4 condition builds and when I find out there is only 3 things to do, stop and change characters, leave the group or ask people to change armor/weapons most of the time players jsut say Im not changing and we try the dungeon anyways, making a 25-30m dungeon into a 1hour + run…. very not fun.

I have bad english too, I do understand the slots and we dont want players that arnt working to help the server, and thats what Im saying about the rewards, they arnt made to get more player into wvw but to help wvw players, and that why I would like to see the rewards change, WvW players dont need money or greens/blue items. They need blueprints and if your not top 6 tier servers you need badges of honor.

The ectos are just nice so WvW players can get Ascended Accessories, having a 1/20 chance for one will get most hardcore wvw players 40 ectos in months time, witch is a good time frame to get ascended accessories. Not for None wvw players to just farm for.

What Pve player will want to spend 10+ hours just to get 1 or 2 ectos? None, they can do cof for 10 hours and get 100 ectos easy.

When I play WvW I dont want PvE rewards, I want things to help me out for WvW.

I’ve been reading lots of WvW forums lately and it seems the Hardcore WvW players dont like the PvE players…..

Honestly Thats terrible to me, let all the pve players come, if you have 100+ come in for the chests well after 5-10 chests they will see the WvW rank chests arnt worth their time and go back to dragons, but during this time you have much more players.

Some servers needs more players, some do not, But out of that 100 players you are going to recruit some new hardcore WvW players, I am sure of that.

Let them play, its just a game, and everyone can play where they like.

Now onto WvW rank chests.

I think it is a cool idea, it gives the Hardcore players a chance to get things they normally can not get, most WvW only players.. well…. dont do dragons and dont do the Mystic Forge or even dungeons, so thing of the chests as a wayf or Hardcore players to get a Precursor.

If you see how hard precursors are to get for PvE players what makes you think the WvW rank chests are going to be easier? They have a chance yes, but the same chance a PvE player has in a Dungeon chest. And I have seen 1 guild member get a Precursor out of CoF runs before.

With that said, IMO it would be nice for the chests rewards to be better, not better for PvE but WvW, do WvW players really need greens and blue items? Or would badges, blueprints and ways to get ectos better? Maybe a ecto drop it self (on a chance not all the time)

Yes Ecto! Mostly b.c WvW now can get ascended gear and 2 of those cost 50 ectos each.

For my a PvE base that likes a fun day of WvW a few times of week, I can get 30-40 ectos in 1 day very easy, I do the Mega Events and then a few dungeon runs, not just CoF, but TA, SE, Hotw, CoE and somethimes Arah. My Best dungeon run day was getting 1800 dungeon tokens that gave me 60 rares, I just used the Mystic Salv Kit and in turn gave me 57 Ectos.

I am happy that WvW is getting new things every patch and I hope it keeps getting more, b.c it is become much more enjoyable to me and many of the players I know. Tho I still think it is missing something special…. you know that feeling, to get me to commit 3-4 hours daily to it.

How would it dilute the skill level? You mean having a 3400 toughness with protection on is alot of skill to play?

I think this should be a base 10% chance to block all attack just by having a shield on… it makes sense, I have a shield to block thats how Im going to use it.

Im just getting mad, all I hear now days in taking away one of the key elements to playing a thief, It is very very fun to play hit and run with a thief in pvp/wvw I would play it any other way, I would rather just play a warrior for the more static melee game play. Or a ranger for the bow/snare game play.

Being taken out of stealth is a nerf, I read what you said and thats what it sounds like to me, another “Nerf stealth” topic.

Again, how is taking a stealth person completely out of stealth by a CC not a nerf? ok I got a 4sec stealth, I use it to run away, and within 1/2 of a sec I get hit with a AoE chili and now my 4 sec stealth is gone and not even used… that is a huge nerf.

So your saying gw2 should not have hit and run tactics, it doesnt let your skills recharge anymore then normal, can not be used again for 4sec.

A thief can burst with or without stealth, the thiefs bursting skills comes from teleporting to you, spamming 3-4 skills in 1-2 seconds and then running away to let his/her Initiative recharge to do it again.

I dont use stealth like you say, I use it with shadowsstep and such skills for max “hit and run” tactic and more as a OH SH!% im going to die, I need to hide way.

You can just pop some aoe skills, aoe KD/KB kills stealth builds, there are counter to it already.

And yes you do activate skills when stealth. The latency anet is already working on, well working on things in pvp/wvw to help see players sooner and able to defend faster.

Its just like in CoD (call of duty) If you have a full sprint class and come around a corning your 1-2 sec ahead of the other person and can get the 1st shot off, its just going to happen in all games right now, just try to deal with it and get better at playing against theifs.

No offense to you, but you can get a thief and play one too, so can anyone. Im just tired off all this QQ

A new buff, that has a 10 or 15% chance to block attacks, would work just like Protection buff, lasts 5-7 seconds and give the person a % chance to block an attack, but doesnt end after one block, remains for the full time.

I love the GW1 assassin and the way it could block, and to me it feels like a good Buff for gw2.

I feel this is not over powered, its just blocking a small amount of attacks, maybe 1 or 2 against 1 for and maybe 2-4 against 2 foes.

Could give the thief and the warrior, or even mesmer some new play styles too.

Anet… what kind of sick joke is this…. Who wants to do a 20min event with a champion in 1 or 2 locations 1000 times? If thats your Idea of a elite thing to do then you need to rethink.

having 2-3 armor sets for each of my level 80s (5 as of now) due to WvW, Pve (meta events/having fun) , Dungeons and fotm (yes I have different weapons/armor just for fotm) along with MF on a couple characters, it is a real pain to have to keep switching them out all the time.

The fotm 20 exotic bag helped alittle at least. an easy way to get a few 20slot bags.

You can get + duration longer by other means, if your base +% is 0 and you have just the sigils then yeah not so good, but if you already have some from your traits or runes maybe even armor (not sure about the armor I thought there was a armor that did have it) then it all starts to add up.

Its like anything else, if you have a sigil with healing power and thinking it is going to help, then you will feel that a Healing Power sigil isnt worth it.

You need to pick ALL your stats to work with all your other stats.

I would love a Monk style class (not gw1 monk) but a fighting monk, that using nunchakus, fist weapons and staff, the SAB end game boss has nunchaku swords lol I love his weapon!.

I would Love to have a either Tengu or Kodan Monk class that special in hand to hand weapons.

Right now I run 0/0/20/20/30 as a full Signet Of malice, Death blossom, Condition spam thief, I can do 25 stacks of bleed very easy, it is very much survival.

My armor is Reyna’s armor (V/H/CD)

It is very fun, but I would like a build that doesn’t need to be based off of conditions for killing a foe.

I play mostly Pve/Dungeons and do some WvW.

I would love to have a direct damage build that can live long as well, I am having troubles making it.

Im stuck if I should stay with Signet of Malice with high healing (H/P/V armor?) or if I should go for a different heal skill and go with a armor stats more like p/pr/v)

Then there is always +10 all stats.

My traits I was thinking about something either 0/30/30/10, 10/30/30/0 or 0/30/30/0/10.

Im just not to sure what would be best….

That statement wasn’t a year ago, it was back in November, yes that was 1/2 year ago, but that’s still a big difference, and when/where did they say the aren’t coming out anything soon? I don’t doubt they aren’t come out soon, I just want to see it word for word, and if you cant get that info (or someone else) then Im not believing in it just yet.

Yes I do know its 60 + the bags for your 1st time (normally 69) and then after that you get DR.

Why not actually say something useful, after about 3-4 runs it might as well be 30 per run with DR.

Not all dungeons need to be made more friendly, but for the story at least most of them do, just b.c your a higher level doesn’t make you good at dungeons/playing with a team or give you the understanding on CC, it takes time and practice, making the dungeons easier for lower levels and newer players, giving them something to work to get for their level will get them better at it.

There is no reason for a level 35 to grind AC to get all rare level 35 gear, buy the time they get 1200 tokens they will be level 45+ and not even needing to buy their gear any more.

They have a story mode, that would be great to add into the personal storys, but you should story mode be so hard? It should be very enjoyable to play and actually want to learn the story, if you can only get 1 piece for doing it and its only level 35 (or dungeon level) then there wouldn’t be the need for grinding levels on it and DR.

I did a post about this and there are lots of post about it, but I think this would be a good way to help in all manors.

Dungeons right now are tailored to more of a end game content, and honestly dungeons need to be, but also they need to be some new player friendly dungeons too.

The idea is very simple.

Make all lower than level 70 dungeons very “noob” friendly, instead of 30 tokens each run just give us 1 token and that 1 token can buy you 1 piece of gear, so 6 runs will give you 6 pieces of gear. The story mode would be for the lower level gear only (equal to the dungeon level, AC would be level 30) this will keep all players do all dungeons all the time.

For the high levels and end game content, do the same thing explore mode (scaled the same) but gets 1 token for a level (lets use AC again) a level 35 item per path, so you do all 3 paths you get 3 pieces of gear, but make each patch give a different token, so a level 70+ can use all the paths tokens to turn in to get a level 70+ exotic.

So the level 80 will have to do all 3 paths to get 1 piece of gear, that means that level 80 will have to do all 3 paths 6 times for a armor set, as of right now that is the same amount of gameplay needed to farm that 1200 tokens.

IMO this is a much better way to do dungeons and I feel all players will benefit from this.

Skipping In Dungeons And Other Improvements

IMO it is fun to skip sometimes, I do lots of dungeons, I to skip and don’t skip, some parts of TA where you kitten some mobs is b.c it is not fun to fight some of those mobs, not fun at all.

Some dungeons it makes it faster to skip, like the bridge in CoF p1, I rather skip that. But sometimes we don’t skip and we even go after some mobs that you don’t have to kill, it depends on the mob type and the dungeon.

If there is a group of mobs that all do KB/KD each ever 4-5sec well yeah we are going to skip that group b.c being KB/KD is not fun lol.

IMO the problem with dungeons are the rewards are so great they have to make a simple level 35 dungeon end game content.

Why not just make low level dungeons… low level dungeons, 30-60 tokens for a level 40 rare armor piece would be great IMO and make those low level dungeons more “noob” friendly.

The they can add in a (Like gw1) more of a Hard Mode to all Dungeons where you can get level 80 Exotics just for completing it, but make it longer and harder, where you cant skip anything.

Its not a bad idea, its still a daily task well sort of, but its more of a “you can only get this reward once a day” and there are tasks you must complete and when you do complete them new tasks will show up just like they do.

It is very hard for my wife too, she is lucky I do it for her.

It resets at 8pm for us. She has to be in bed by 7pm, she wakes up at 3:30am, starts work at 5am, get home (after traffic) at 4:30ish pm, eats and does homework, she now only has about 1hour max to play GW2 (and she does) but she doesn’t want to spend the whole hour/ 30m doing the daily, she would like to do other things too like Super Adventure box, a Dungeon run (cof, Ac, TA etc..) or een maybe a Fotm, so she now has to choose… To daily or not to daily?

It is really frustrating to her as well.

Not all of us are lucky enough to play 2-4 hours a day, some of us have work, school and family.

IMO they are fine jus the way they are. ok the down player uses number 2 skill… he is now away from you, somehow (teleport, stealth, KB you etc…) if it didn’t by time for help then you just walk back up to them and kill them… where is the problem at? To me it is working how it is suppose to.

IMO they need to buff/AI fix all the minions, it would be very nice to have a MM more playable than what they are now. The MM is ok at best in pve leveling or non events/dungeons, but once you go against a champion/boss those minions are all but useless.

If you playing the minions as a support and they are there just to help give you life and take some agro off you, these are great builds and ways to use them.

But I would like an actually MM build and not a support element. There is no need for 20 minions, having the 3-5 is fine, just make them like the Rangers pet and give use a bar or a base AI that attacks the same thing we do ALL the time and not randomly attack something else, or randomly stop attacking all together.

GW2 is very condition build, so it will need these and while in Fotm, or other dungeons I feel sometimes I don’t have enough (depending on the class) some classes like guards do have a lot, but that is what they are for.

I hope this is the correct place for this but here we go.

I need help with a name, it will be Female Sylvari Ranger. It has to start with Faux (means false in French)

so far all my character names are:
War/Asura: Faux Tall
Guard/Norn: Faux Puny
Necro/Hum: Faux Life
Ele/Sylvari: Faux Nature

You can see my trend, some names Im think of are, Faux w/ Wild or Feral.
