It depend how much mobs you kill. I think if you “purposely” try to kill as little as possible, you should be able to get 100% mid 70.
Most people probably have daily, or kill more than they need so they’ll be lvl80 before 100% map completion.
All 4 of my character was in the 40% marks and I only killed what the heart called for, its a WASTE to kill things that arnt with Hearts or Events, it takes up time and gives little exp. I also only gather if they was around the hearts, gathering is worth more than a kill most times

Does anybody know how many levels you get by doing 100% full map discovery
Ive lever 4 character fully only map completion and everytime Ive got 40+% world completion, there are some events and gathering too, but I mean no champ arm/crafting or scrolls, always had food buffs and at least 40% the time exp/gathering buffs from banners or boosters. No dungeons either.
Each time took about 40hrs of game play.

Please don’t insult the ritualist by comparing it to a guardian. Rits had quite the AOE (especially with spirit spam builds). If anything, I’d say it’s more of a cross between Elementalist and Mesmer in that regard, because it had good AOE and used hexes (very mesmer’ish) a lot. Only things that a guardian has that’s quite ritualistic in nature are the spirit weapons (which no one uses cause they’re frikkin useless) and perhaps a couple skills like the greatsword #5 binding aspect. Other than that, I wouldn’t say it’s like a guardian in the slightest bit.
Would like to see the ritualist make a return to GW2. Was my favourite profession.
Splinter weapon was OP I dont know what your talking about and there was the 130hp rit that used a weapon too for some farms

Rit was the reason I stayed with gw1 I have over 4k hours on my rit, it was an amazing and unique class.
Was it because Rt was unique or Rt plowed through everything in lolmode with SoS?
Either way, I’d like to see a more functional minion master class in this game – whether it be through spirit wall ritualist or fixing the minions on necromancer.
If you used Rt in PvP, more power to you – but Splinter Weapon/Spirit’s Strength is a lot like some of the mesmer melee-magic.
SoS was buffed after over a year of it being a terrible elite. I had 2k hours before that buff.
And after SoS was a lazy farm not the best, Rt/war builds and rt/m was much better to farm with than sos.
Rt/Dev was AMAZING! for pvp/ab at 1st before the nerfs.
Dont forget Lightning Damage burst builds.
The support was very unique and I love the spirits, and specially the Ashes.

There is no reason it has to be a 1/2000 drop chance NONE! at all. I dont care how rare you awnt to make it, if you making all 6 gods then give players a nice chance to collect them all.

They already have the yellow text message that tells you the boss you just killed passed his/her elite skill to the other bosses in the pavilion.
Reason would tell you that next time it may be smart to kill them all at the same time so they can’t do that. However that is making an assumption that everyone playing ‘reads’ that message banner and ‘interprets’ it the same way.
Anet did give hints but when doing open-world content available for a limited time, that isn’t zerg-smash, they will have to take this into consideration. Not everyone ‘gets it’.
When the event starts they will have to hand hold a bit more and just say “Try to kill them all at the same time.”
The time constraint on Living World content is going to frustrate players trying to get their achievements. I would love to see how fast the community can learn as a whole but I’m not sure everyone wants to be as patient as myself.
Thats the point of OP, there are many players that dont care at all, they want to do the lazy auto afk way. even 15 of those players in a 70 man instance will ruin the Gold reward.
This game is full of disappointments. Not much experience was expected.

Mega events every 15min means you can play anytime and still get into a mega event, LFG system for all parts of the game make it you can play anytime you wantDev said the update patch would encourage players to use full set of runes, but the “Superior Rune of Lyssa” lost all boons with all conditions removal after the update.
All Condi clear + All boons to Removal 5 and gain 5 boons is Justified, its still a strong rune for wvw/pvp and holds the same value in pve as beforeThought “Hall of monuments” stuffs would be cool before GW2 was released, no one cares them now because “Legendries” have fancy foot prints.
I use some of them still even tho I have 5 legendaries, the Helms/armors are neat and different compare to others in game but the Legendary can be said about every weapon, Valcanus, Wings of Dwayna etc.. why use them when you got legendaryThought “Festival of the Four Winds” would be fun, but this time it has No Loot.
If anet is moving away from Gold loots to more Item loot Im fine with that, Gold value has dropped and if it will help gold value thats good, they need us to let them know that the rewards still need to be worked onSomehow the PR for game always misleads and always deceptive.

When will they fix Suppressed!
I hate doing events Commanding and then getting Suppressed.
Today I was commanding the bandit Boom Boom boss I was also looking out for Heal Turret and would Post (Not posting skill) but actually typing out “heal” or “turret” or “Fight here” to not get Suppressed and sometimes I still would, this is ridiculous we need to be able to call something out more than 2-3x in a 10min period.
ANET ADD THIS SKIN IN PLEASE!
Although I prefer D/P, I’ll continue to run S/D until they nerf strength runes. Currently everyone is running them on power builds and the ability to strip them and apply then to yourself is just too strong not to take.

I play 10/30/0/0/30 SD/SB with Lyssa Runes atm.
How does it compare to DP, imo? Let’s have a look at meta setups:
vs shatter mes – shortbow anyway
vs necro – shortbow anyway with melee set for finishing so no difference again
vs hambow – dp
vs cond war – sd
vs ele – sd
vs guard (especially dps ones) – sd
vs eng – shortbow anyway
vs other thieves – whoever is a better thief and has utilities/steal off cdWhy I play SD though, is because of the mobility and evasiveness in-combat that it offers. Also, DD eles are becoming fotm and I find DP to be too weak vs them.

Hmm vs necro and mesmer/engi/ele (specially eles) I do really well against them with my D/P, more so than s/d mostly b.c I time Head shot every 2 sec or so, auto attacking + steal/venom for more stuns and they normally never get off any good attacks, specially ele, I gues I will have to play s/d more and see what Im doing wrong with it, even tho i used it for a long time b.c I love the evades/condi clear and cleave.

It’s not that one is better than the other. They do different things.
You run S/D if you’re going for more consistent dps over time with more sustain.
You run D/P if you want spike damage, and the utility of blinds and interrupts.
Which is better depends on your perception of what’s important or the reality of what your team comp needs or both.
If you’re wondering which is easier to play that would be S/D
I know the difference in them but I only see Solo ques I dont see high end tpvp and Im wondering what some more pvp veterans do and likes.

Ive been seeing more and more use S/D and the build 2/6/0/6/0
I am very very happy with D/P 2/6/0/0/6 I love the stun on steal and lower steal recharge, I love the blinds, shadow shot and most of all I love Head shot.
But in your opinions what is the better build for Tpvp. Just give me your opinion on what one you like to play and why.

I should a couple guild members the power of Sword/X and GS, hitting 15k on Number 2 GS and then auto for 3k (not counting pet). The couldnt blieve how fast I was killing mobs (in orr) compare to them.
Then it came time to do dungeons… they go full range outside of buff radius….. I died alittle inside that day.
Two days ago 20-24 solo ques 9 was skyhammer
Yesterday again 20-25 solo Ques 12+ Skyhammer
Today just did 6 hours of Solo que, over 40% was Skyhammer
IDK if im just the most unlucky person or if anet just is trying to Force us to like skyhammer, but Im sick and tired of it, I dont even like it to start with, making it the prime map is making me not want to even play PvP.
On a side not Skyhammer doesnt take skill to play tripping players off the map isnt skill.
I thief, so I just SR, break floor, Scorpion wire, steal point… I do this 5-6 times a game, how is that skill?

Venom share is a very type strange support namely it does a bit everything if traited for it: Healing, boons, debuffs, power dps increase, condition increase, soft cc, hard cc are all contained in the venoms or traits surrounding venoms:
- healing: Skelk venom heals for 700HP/hit ungeared without gear and with gear 900HP/hit, leaching venoms add another 325 HP/hit ungeared and 569 HP/hit to all venoms. So combined it gives with a full set of venoms it 286 HP/second ungeared and 456HP/second geared to allies .
- boons: Venomous strength gives every ally 2 stacks of might for 20 seconds per venom.
- debuffs: Skale venom can potentially give 20 stacks of vulnerability to the enemy for at least 10 seconds (I don’t know which player duration is used so I say 10 at the moment).
- power dps increase: leaching venom gives every venom hit at least 350 damage per venom strike and it scales with the power of the receiver (not the thief)
- condition increase: Skale venom gives every player 4 stacks of torment which is a very scarce condition which will not interfere with normal condition builds.
- soft cc: Ice drake venom gives chill
- hard cc: basilisk venom gives stun
The advantages of this spreadout is that you always can support every player no matter what playstyle they have: ranged,condition, power, tank,… and in whatever team setting you are .
The downside is that you cannot specialize well since some of your resources would be wasted.
The three biggest downside are no stunbreaker, no condition removal and the short range of venomous aura. The condition removal can be solved by taking a sword (a very good choice since it can debuf with the auto attack), an off hand dagger with shadows embrace (together with sword you can steal boons from enemies ) or taking anti condition sigils/runes. The lack of stunbreakers can be solved by good use of dodges/evades. The only thing stopping venoms from being good support is the range. 360 is too short, 600 would be perfect.
You forgot to say another HUGE downside to Venoms.
- Blocks and blind uses up Vemon and you gain no benefits from them. Im not sure about Evades if it does the same thing or not.
IMO thief support is DPS with Stealths, Blinds, Fast movement for scouting, picking off the weak and finishing up kills for WvW.
x/x/6/x/x can do ALOT of support in Regen, -50% dmage when stealth (for anyone you stealth) regen when you give stealth. You can take it farther with x/x/6/6/x and have loads of Survival with SB skills, Stealths, blinds etc…
Im not a fan of venom shared AT ALL!!! I think its one of the worst builds in the game, the unitilty it gives is Very little, a 1 sec chill, a stun that can be break out of, Condition damage given to players with no condi damage isnt very good, your not set up for dps or condi so the torment doesnt do much. The Poison or Immob can be good but you have SB for aoe Poison and other classes can Immob 10x better.
- remember, venoms are a 45 sec base CD for a few sec of untility then you have no survivability your self, no breaks tuns, no stealths, no condi removal.
Or it could be b.c they want players to have to work for it and not buy it off the tp, get players to play all aspects of the game and not just one.
Dungeons should have there own potion for Dungeon type instead of NPC type.
AC should be Ascalon Slayer Potion and effects all NPCs in AC dungeon.
Same for all dungeons. I hate the fast that you cna buy potions form CoE vender and it not work on 90% of the mobs you fight, but undead works on the most for the dungeon, included the Boss.
It segregates those of us who enjoy all aspects of the game by forcing us to chose 1 specific server type.
That’s just nonsense. It doesn’t bring the community together and all it does is actively crush the legitimate fun in WvW and encourage T1 levels of blobbing and coverage. Which is specifically why many people move off those servers.
When you buy the game you have to choose a server so the 1st thing you said have no meaning, this way you can change server easily by joining a different guild.

The whole idea needs way more work and in it’s current iteration would only do to WvW what anet doesn’t want which is segregate it from other game modes. See recent PvP updates on how they actually want to make the modes mesh together for better ways to improve WvW/Guild System.
But it would make it less segregated, less servers, less worry about what guild you have to be in, more easy participation.
Due to the Mega servers and how WvW is, any person from any server could very easily join, and recruiters have to make sure that player will be from the Guilds server.
I understand this will be a HUGE change and most likely wont happen, but its something I think would really improve.
- Remove servers (no need due to mega servers) or at least restrictions on transfers
- Guilds/players will join wvw Via Guild panel (WvW traits will be in the Hero panel) take away WvW panel all info in Hero panel or Guild Panel
- You join the Maps fighting for “Name” alliance/server
- Leaderboards will be the same
- Make guilds have a Guild rank
- Guilds will be rank up by participating in WvW and gains bonus ranks for Number of active players, the higher the Rank the higher the Guild can join in on top tier WvW Alliance/servers
- Each server/alliance is ranked 1-12 (etc… I like having less servers for more fuller wvw maps).
Please talk about, explain on this, you may like or dislike, but explain why and not just Troll/hate speech.
1 ) You don’t need to do story. The paths rotate every week and are repeatable.
2 ) There’s a good number of PvPers that don’t touch PvP. If they and new players were the only ones that needed to do the story modes, then there would be very few groups and many of those groups would be a mess.
1) I didnt finish and did story while the track was up and I want to finish.

3) I understand if we “finish the track” we could do story to redo, but I didnt even finish and I ’Did" do story after the update.
I did Arah story when the track “was active” Think it unlocks arah track and I can repeat it.
Well the track ended and NOPE! You must do story AGAIN! I didnt complete the track either.
So it seems you have to do story mode EVERYTIME you want to do the track.
So I guess I missread how anet said it and so did my guild and friends, we all thought once you did story it was for ever unlocked.
It just upsets me that I did story mode at the “wrong time” mostly.
I didnt record, I will start to Screen cap all end rewards, I have stopped fotms about 2 weeks ago, before that I was doing 3-4 A DAY! 29, 38, 49/50 sometimes a 19.
I have seen terrible drops from 40+ I only do 49/50 just for the tonic, I made sure to do EVERY daily up until 8-10 days ago for that chance, and I have NEVER seen one drop from any group Ive been with.
Its sad that I can (By farming fotm and dungeons no TP flipping) Can make a legendary and get another one 1/2 done all while trying to get a tonic.. Anet fix your broken RNG!

I understand there is ALOT of work involved with a race chance, but the whole Idea you “have to think hard about your choices” is stupid, you dont know what your choices are when your new to the game, you have no idea about store, armor looks, mechanics, etc…
And with Birthday’s you dont want to delete characters, or the way the new traits are, Im glad I have level 80 of each class already it would be a nightmare.
I have 2 warriors, 2 thieves, 2 guardians, 2 engis and 2 eles, b.c there isnt a race chance.

Nerf direct damage all you want, it won’t change a single thing until you change the game design. I say that after experimenting again with some of the above builds in dungeons after the patch. I went straight back to direct damage.
Even if the game is changed the meta will simply be something else.
Like full zerker and 1 PVT char with CCs. Or full rampager’s – or something. There will always be a best way to power through the content.This best way will always be enforced by the people that care about time vs profit.
Let’s stop beating a dead horse already – the zerker meta isn’t about a zerker set – it just appears to be that on the surface.
The “zerker meta” embodies the philosophy of not wanting to waste your time and getting those rewards as fast as possible. No matter how the game changes this kind of thinking will remain in the game – we’ll just call it the " something else meta" and it will still be both loved and hated by different groups of players.

There is nothing wrong with using ptv. Its just that you arent the most efficient in one section of dungeoning. Specifically speed clearing.
There has been links of ptv and healing power no dodge groups doing dungeons easily. Heck there was one of an ele soloing spider queen.

How come nobody can specifically describe what builds benefit from a nerf to Zerker build? They always speak of them vaguely, then when you take them to task they get defensive and deflect.

Players that like the “Holy Trinity” Want it in this game and sense they cant get it they do what Humans do best, Bring everyone else down emotional to there level instead of trying to understand and just have fun.
Zerk got a slight nerf, not much at all, Pre path I did 15k Pistol whip to the Golems in CoE, Post path I do 13k-14k, a slight different, 1 Sword attack difference, not much at all.
They think b.c Zerk is worst that Tanks are better, but thats not ture. Just B.c 1 thing gets worst, it doesnt mean something else is better.
A full tank team will still take 20minutes to do CoF p1, and a Full zerk team will still stake 7 min to do CoF p1, before that zerk team did it in 6min and 30 sec. (thats a funny joke get it, b.c 10% nerf haha).
So Tanks for PvE are the same, Slow, boring, and not optimal for killing fast.

I wish Anet would 25-50s increase the longer/hard/less ran dungeons to give players some insentive to run those, would really enjoy that, Like: SE 2, CoF 3, Hotw 2/3 CM 2 I know players do these but not wide spread, and tbh Longer dungeons should reward alittle more, if SE 3 is 1.50g why is CoF p3 1g? normal pug groups can do SE 3 somewhat fast, but wont even try CoF 3.

I was mistaken it was Lich Form elite skill Auto, DS is a 4k auto. But still its a necro power build that you could do 6-7k autos with.

Yeap. Just the way it is. I mean I’m ok with glass cannons doing high amounts of damage, but unless anet gives every class the ability to do that much damage in ONE hit then I think it needs a look over. I mean if a thief could do 13k damage in like 4-kittens that’s fine. But one hit is a bit much.
Most classes can do this, Necro can Trait for DS auto to go threw and Ive (on my thief) seen it hit for 6-7k, now that IMO is worst than BS, b.c its an auto attack, they sit out of range and just Autos.
Warrior Ax f1 I can make it hit for 10k, yes you can “see it” but A/M or A/S, Bulls Charge then the f1 skill and then its VERY hard to stop.
Have seen Engi and Ele combos (I know they are combos, but they can be done with in seconds) do 20k+ damage with 2-3 attacks.
Ranger Ive seen 8k GS Bear attack with an instant 10 Invul and swamp to LB, KB Quickness/Volley and your dead.
The Point is, Every Class you can Build FULL DPS and try to land those insane DPS attacks, when you do you will notice that you start to play like a thief, going in and out of fights picking and choosing your targets carefully.
I always think maybe zerker lost some % but other running around since years with only 20% of the dps what zerkers do
I run some dunguons with full zerk these days in pugs i feel no different at all
a few sec more maybe but nothing bad
Did Ac with our normal group, finished all paths within the same times as normal.
Killed Kholer before Wall of Reflect was down like normal, Killed P2 Ghost before Wall of Reflect was down again.
I see no change inside dungeons.

My thief did 15k Pistol Whips in PvE on average, Now she does 13.8k on average. OMG 1.2k Damage lost!!! The world is ending!
For real Zerk is still best dps stop crying and do some math/testing.
