Yea WvW is annoying.
I went in the borderlands to explore them but ended up ‘wasting’ 3 weeks striking around with my own striketeam and storming towers and keeps with my self build zerg :p
Having a bad memory? You are going to have a bad time in Guild Wars 2!
let me get this straight, it’s not a ‘huge’ problem. I made a concept email and placed every link of a build there. But why not an in-game option to save your builds and traits?
The build saver in guild wars 1 was pretty darn usefull! I had about 200 builds saved in there for my heroes and every of my charachters.
Why don’t we have one in GW2? :’(
Well, on the part of thieves in WvW being strong I must agree. a good solo thief can kitten the kitten out of my striketeam in WvW!
But I honestly can’t say the majority is playing a thief. And nerving them doesn’t seem right. Although they are highly annoying they can be taken out pretty easy when performend correctly.
NOOO!
1 minute of stealth?! I can’t find these kitten thieves with just 6 seconds of stealth!
Ever considered not being a thief and having an enemy thief at your back and not seeing him FOR 1 MINUTE!?
Well everytime I enter the enemy Borderlands we’re greatly outnumbered. Just take initiative, invite some wandering people to your party. With 3 you can do some pretty annoying stuff against the enemy by takin every supply camp!
Yesterday I started alone, halfway I had a party of 4 leading me and in the end there were 3 teams of 4 players active and 1 commander who was leading 10 people and taking every tower in the bl and later on a friendly team and myn ninja’ed bay :p!
Cooperation can make small groups big in achievment!
Well the best class is definitely engineer! With the rifle #5 class (jumpshot) you can cheat
The crafting daily is so much bullkitten. I honestly NEVER craft!
But now I apperently have to do this stuff, and am crafting bronze horns…
I mostly agree.
But why adding vulnerability to goggles? We got lota of serious options for stacking it. 100nades stacks 25 vulnerabilit in no time.
The CD on slickshoes should be lower.
Maybe a bit more damage for mines, or an extra mine?
Me and my guildmates like to play as a striketeam (4 players) in WvW
As you know, a striketeam is able to quickly take supplycamps, and (with a bit of luck) can ‘ninja strike’ a tower and capture it.
We are always frustrated to see an enemy zerg capturing our just taken camps/towers, reducing our attacks just to little distractions or a mid-way ‘snack’ on the road.
We are playing in the Far Shiverpeaks server, and are currently sneaking around in the Aurora’s glade Borderlands. Aurora is pretty dominant and squashes every sting we are able to do.
With four, we are just useless against an enemy zerg. We can’t take a keep, we can’t hold positions, we can’t divide tasks, we can do nothing really usefull to get our server permenantly in the ‘real’ fight.
When a commander shows up, we are able to hold briar, lake andsome supplycamps. But that all gets lost when the commander leaves and people divide up in solo or small groups like ours.
The problem is not the culling, it’s not the ZvZ, or anyhting else.
It’s people just wandering useless around.
I know people are not obligated to follow someone or a commander, but people should realise that if we take stuff, everything ia more easy for them. The jumping puzzle, exploring or whatever they want to do.
How can you fix thia problem? How can you ‘unite’ people in an usefull group which can make a striking fist instead of some tiny little pokes?
To prevent stuff like ‘just be friendly’, I’m friendly
. Politely asking people to join us in besieging a bigger structer and throwing in some humor.
What do you guys think? Is bad grouping the problem or ia it something else?
PS: english is not my firat language, so don’t be mad if I made a mistake
.
It makes up for some fun sitiuations though:
‘kitten we all need to say random stuff, so the commander can give his orders again’
’I’m hungry’
‘Me too’
lol?
Tybalt… Why did he had to go
the undead could have had my main…
cry
Elite skill capping, saving your builds (WhY is this not in Tha GaME!?!), just 8 skills but you could put ‘m everywhere you want, 2 professions, My Dhuums soul reaper :’(, a random arena, and yes…
The holy trinity!
When I heared guild wars 2 wouldn’t have something like a trinity I was excited (never again waiting 3,5 hours for a dam spiker in temple of ages). But they completely removed something like a trinity, you always feel.. ‘Average’ with your group, and there is no healer!
I miss guild wars, soo much
Paying 15 dollar every frickin month to play a game? Kitten off.
Ooh nice! I’m definitely going to check this out :>
Today I was playing in gunnars hold borderlands as an invader.
Because yesterday new matches have begun we had little to nothing captured (1 supply camp).
I always try to do something usefull, instead of roaming around looking for kills. But since there was no commander, I couldn’t get more then 6 people behind me to strike at supply camps (unfortunately the enemie forified EVERY kitten rock on the map).
Really nobody listens to you, unless you have a blue sign above your head!
And when their finaly is a commander, he his completely ignored by everyone except my party!
Howcome?! Where is this lack of obedience coming from?!
“Waka waka ee it’s time for nerfing”- Shakira
“Mamma nerf, here we go again!”- ABBA
“Ain’t got no damage, ain’t got no speed
Ain’t got no dps, ain’t got no wins,
I got nerfs!”- nina simone
“Wollt ihr den totalen nerf?!” -Goebels
“So long, nerf boys!”- (The Hangover)
“With great responsibility, comes great nerfs” -Uncle Ben (Spiderman)
I’m an average player.
I have a lvl 80 Engineer and a lvl 80 warrior.
My warrior is playing easy as hell fliging towards an enemie throwing him around the screen.
My engineer is hard to play, killing anyone is worth a fulltime job, stupid grenades don’t work in pvp (80% of the time they miss "-.-)…
But hell, engineer is fun to play! We are the exentric weirdoes that throw around with bottles and bombs, sometimes suck, but still have loads of fun!
You can buy weapons and armor with it and you need it for your legendary weapon aswell. So I agree, I miss lota of badges while running away from an enemy zerg…
What about the LA express?
Just give me your Zeppelin Tixx. Pretty Please! =X
The fysical appereance of the please does not matter.
Just thought it would be an awesome cenery for a battle, “The siege of divinity’s reach”.
And yes my english isn’t really good, for example: I’m not sure how to spel scenery/cenery/senery? Same thing whit how to spel spel…

After the weekend event kicked me out before getting my reward, I play less. I kinda think the game is slowly bleeding to death (not sure about this though). Many areas (fireheart rise) are just empty.
I bought awesomenauts on steam and now I check in on GW2 for the dailys and soem little exploring. Still find it really fun, but all my friends stopped playing and areas are empty
.
For 63000 karma you can get another cultural exotic. And there are alot, so pick a fancy one
.
I had the same problem in Far Shiverpeaks. The discription says population: ‘high’ but many areas except the starter ones are just empty..
:p sounds like a great protest!
I honestly never encounter buged events, but bugs are server bound. It might be that the events aren’t fixed at your server. Yes it sucks they didn’t fixed it.
Yea it is reslly crappy. I pre purchased the regular edition, but can’t upgrade with some discount
. 20 $ is just to much money for what you get I think. But 5 $ maybe worth it..
Earthquackes. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Jormag
I doubt Dhuum will return, for this reason: Dhuum was the former god of death, before Grenth overthrew him. Him returning would imply the 6 human gods are real, making every other religion in Tyria obsolete because humans can say “you can go fight Dhuum if you don’t believe me”. I don’t think the devs want to give up the diversity of the reilions by creating ‘one true’ religion.
The bandits are funded by the White Mantle (if we believe the GW2 wiki, andI think we can: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bandit ).
The bandits are orginazed, seem to have some sort of uniform and symboland the symbol is found in many camps. And if the white mantle will be back, so will be the Mursaat, treathening The human kingdom of Kryta, the Sylvari of the Pale tree and the Asura (the white mantle had and probably still have a huge influence in the maguma wastes and jungle!).
Important houses (Caudecus Beetlestone and Julias Zamon, both ministers of Kryta and man of noble birth) being a member of ‘the bandits’ shows that they are not just ordinary bandits robbin’ people along the road. They are a bigger threat then we expect. They ARE the White Mantles army.
If they will start something like a siege on Divinity’s reach, they are by far the most kitten rogue faction!

I had the same problems got disconnected at the last wave of reinforcements something prevented me to log in
In PvE I really agree. God, one regular hit with grenades is as much as a (high) critical hit with my rifle… not even mentioning pistol.
But SPvP is diffirent. Because players are moving grenades are too unreliable, and rifle offers really nice control. But they still do alot more damage if you hit.
Que?! Say what?! Wut?!
And it’s a game. People like some action and epic battles in games. There aren’t many debate games and I don’t see “guild discussion 2” coming
Talon silverwing, Prince Rurick, King adelbern..
All of them could be the best swords men in tyrian history for so far we know..
That is a popular theory, but it is a theory that is pretty much despised by most of the long standing lore hounds of Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2, including me. It makes very little sense for the Sylvari to be minions, because of the complexity of thought they show compared to any other type of minions.
Yea I am not so sure about it either. But on the other hand, they all have a really strong connection to the Pale tree, and do everything in service of the Pale tree…
I do not despise the theory, but I don’t have a single clue if it would be true or not..
Sixth dragon? Tell me more.
There is a 6th ED, the end.
We have no idea where it is, what its power is, what its minions are, we know nothing besides the fact that it existed, it may be dead for all we know.
I’m not completely sure, but I thought I saw someone telling about a nature dragon beneath the pale tree.
Also explaining why the Sylvari are imume to Zaithens corruption. before Ventari’s tablet, the pale tree was ‘bad’ (due to thr dragon beneath it) and the Nightmare court were the real sylvari. After ventaris tablet the tree became ‘corrupted’ and making the sylvari we know now ‘corrupted’ too.
Thus making them imume to another source of corruption.
But I’m not sure if this is correct?
It sounds better when hearing this from a regular forum visitor
.
Hearing it from a dev which doesn’t give any information about how they react on the ongoing rage only makes me mad…
Okay, any hardcore players around willing to suggest great games that you would leave gw2 for?
Awesomenauts.
It’s a 10 dollar game on steam, and really addictive!
If you never played GW1 go play it!
It’s alot diffirent but as much (perhaps even more) fun! Due to it’s enormous amount of skills (about 2500) and endless combination of classes (yes, you van duel class) i spend about 3000 hours in GW1!
Well, I went achievement hunting on my main character. Completed the map and having fun with guildmates :p still find it enjoyable.
“Something that will change the world of Tyria forever” is what Arenanet stated when releasing info about the Lost Shores update.
I might be wrong, but I didn’t see any world changing things?
Or was this a ‘blow-up-this-rock-and-now-it-ain’t-there-anymore-the-world-is-changed’ thing?
I can only asume it’s to encourage people to try out the free server transfers because other servers are camping them on the one you are on now. Sneaky anet, very sneaky… tipshat
Seriously though, I would say because the achievement if for exploring the world of guildwars and the pvp areas happen to reside within said world.
If we want to be technical, which world? The world of Tyria? If so, the borderlands are located in the Mists, which is decidedly not Tyria. The combined world of the entire game itself? If so, then there’s no reason for sPvP areas to be skipped.
No matter how you spin it, the answer is simply “because.” There’s no scientific reason.
Kinda true, but I’m not sure. Isn’t ‘the map’ just what the world Tyria is? Why’d you call it a “map completion title” otherwise?
It would be cool if the Dutch get a Sinterklaas present on the 5th of december.
But sinterklaas is only celebrated in The Netherlands, same thing with thanksgiving which is only celebrated in the USA.

Imagine this conversation in real life:
‘Hey, I’ve explored every country and continent on Earth’ says Guy 1
‘Err, you haven’t explored the North or South Poles…’ says Guy 2
‘Yeah but I hate the snow and cold, so it shouldn’t count as a continent’ says Guy 1
What you are actually complaining about is that you have to do something you don’t like, in order to get something you want. You for some reason feel like you are entitled to the achievement, without actually doing the achievement, because you don’t want to do it.
Well let me break the bad news to you kid, just because you don’t like PvP, doesn’t mean the battleground are suddenly not part of Tyria, in the same way that The North Pole doesn’t suddenly vanish from the face of the Earth because it’s too cold for you to explore.
If you want 100% map completion, you’re going to have to, you know, explore 100% of the map.
I know my post sounds snarky but it’s really that simple. I find your thread and attitude pathetic, it’s just my honest opinion.
Take care
Uhm yea, with the diffirence that the poles are on the earth, and the WvW areas are not.
Thus making your point completely invalid.
i disagree. i think it’s exactly those one time events that you will remember, it’ll be the stuff that you’ll look back and say “i was there”. making it just standard content defeats that.
as for the people complaining about the rewards being too good, no. just no. rewards have been sucky in GW2 forever now, this is the first time we got a big, sactisfactory reward. it’s not that big of an advantage (how will a couple extra gold suddenly make my character better than you?), it’s just rewarding players for all their effort throughout the weekend, with unique items as well as some quality “standard” rewards.
I was there and got kicked out. One-time events okay, but make them work.
Without the one time only event the update is awesome enough, with a new map. New dungeon and new pvp map. Why implent a broken event?
