Currently at lvl 96, spending hundreds of golds to convert to gems so we can buy ressurection orbs.

The last couple of months I’ve spent around 12 hours a day farming there for karka shells and I can tell you that the game is doomed.

I think that even ANet appreciates feedback from players who dislike the game. It can help them as a game company or at least provide food for though.

GW2 is below average.
Ask a lot of popular game commentators and old GW1 players how much they enjoy GW2 and they will tell you that they have quit GW2 because it got stale.
GW2 was hyped by ANet to be a game which it is not. It has disappointed a lot of people, even the ones who continue to play. Because secretly we all hope GW2 will become the game it was advertised to be. But let’s face it, the dynamic events will never become how it was advertised to be, namely in the GW2 manifesto.
We’ll see where GW2 will stand the next 2 years. The exclusion of Cantha will be detrimental, because it was the favourite of many GW1 players and it brought a lot to the lore.

I think I prefer my method. I level a character until they’re about level 30, since the beginning sections are easy, interesting, and decently populated, not to mention the personal story is still pretty good around that time. Usually takes a day or two.

Then I level 4 different crafts to 400. Usually takes about 3-4 hours and costs somewhere in the realm of 12 gold or less if you place buy orders for everything you need while doing the initial 30 levels. This gains 40-ish levels to get to level 70.

Then I just play normally after level 70, where everything is populated again and you get absurd amounts of XP just for hitting POIs and Waypoints on the way to wherever you’re going.

98 gold doesn’t seem worth it to me for a level 80 character, but I’ll gladly spend 12 gold or so to skip the relatively boring mid-levels of the game.

My ranger typically has no MF whatsoever and it still finds rares on a regular basis.

I added 22% MF with a consumable and the whole duration all I got was junk, 1 rare, and copper and a few blues. No greens at all. This was during a Fractals run and I can tell you , same difficulty level without any MF would yield much better loot.

As previously stated, 22% is near nothing for MF. A single sample run means absolutely nothing.

Here’s something that has a slightly larger grounds:
When running MF gear (Exo Armor, 4x Pirates, 2x Noble, Omnom Bar/Peach Tart, maybe a few other points thrown in via Guild/Banners/etc) I saw a noticeable increase in Shards of Mist Essense (up to 3 per run, often at least 1) however, once I transitioned out of my MF set for higher fractals, my Shard collection count has noticeably dropped, occasionally 1 per run, only a couple times in over 20 runs have I acquired 2 shards in no MF.

Overall, when leveling from 10-26, I was pulling 2-3 Globs/Mist (Globs in 10-19, Shards 20+) per run on average while in MF Gear. After I cut the MF Gear, 0-1 on average.

That’s is an effect of MF I believe (from what I could tell, people were complaining about never seeing any of those mist drops while I was pulling in several so I believe it’s the MF).

Also to remember, MF is very difficult to statistically show as justified and much easier to say it’s not, such as you have shown. Personally, having played months with 100%+ MF, I’ve seen a positive effect of MF.

Honest question here. Why do you use 4 pirates and 2 noble runes?

I know I use 5 pirates and one of something else that gives +MF because the last stat for Superior Rune of the Pirate only summons a bird, and does nothing for MF. It’s better to skip the 6th rune and replace it for something that ups MF instead of having an essentially wasted spot.

It was great to see that my home server, Aurora Glade, had completely dominated 2 borderlands and most of the Eternal Battleground initially before being annihilated a couple hours or days later by Riverside, a german server.

The other server, Baruch Bay, which is a spanish server was 3rd position for a couple of days. At one point it even seemed as if they had given up. Yet they came back really strong and are now usually 1st or 2nd. Aurora glade is 3rd, it seems that we have now given up.

I feel I should join either the spanish, the french or the germans because they are always well-organized compared to us Aurora Gladeiaodinnsaodoienese.

Congratulations and I do admire your achievement. I wish I could do the same today, but the prizes are batkitten insane compared to the couple weeks after release. I simply have become poor by inflation.

Luckily I had bought a bank tab and 3 char slots by converting gold to gems when 100 gems was worth around 20 silver.

This game is much better than WoW imo, yet around 12 million players or more played, play or are playing WoW.

Do you see where I am going with this? Not everything in the world makes sense if you have an agenda, but if you are open-minded and continuously put your presumptions on the test by empirical evidende you might open up your third eye and realize you are an alien from mars

I highly suggest ANet follows Easymode’s suggestion and then I suggest that they implement ascended armory and weaponry to suggest the players that there is a new suggestive tier of gear.

Thieves need perma-stealth. I insist for a ninja trait line.

At lvl 80 you get to go to all zones, have a chance to get rare exotics from boss chests everywhere and you have a better chance of victory in wvwvw and pvp combat.

Also, all skills can be unlocked and used, all traits can be unlocked and used and moreover you can start playing wherever you want to, just like when you reached lvl 20 in GW1.

What kind of materials should one be able to salvage from an ascended item?

The more magic find you have, the greater the chance of a total amount of better drops in the long run than with less magic find.

I somehow think that magic find works in an opposite universe because here it seems I start getting more blue items than green and yellow whenever I use magic gear or consumable.
