I had this problem the other day, near the end boss and the guy has to leave for the day to go to work.
The game is doomed.
You are focusing too much on a certain part of the game. All you need in this game is a set of masterwork gear and then you can tackle the entire game. Just don’t try to 1vs1 in WvWvW, that’ll doom you.
This game is doomed. Too much goofyness going on, I feel a good story wasted with try-hard wit.
This game is doomed with all this excess of loot.
No daily deaths? The game is doomed.
It would not be a secret that nobody knows about if somebody knows it.
This game is doomed btw.
Just went in WvWvW. Didn’t see a single soul, this means 3 servers are dead.
This game is doomed
I still eagerly await for a daily deaths
Just walked over the entirety of Tyria, haven’t seen a single person. The game is doomed.
Implement it.
The elitist attitude won’t ever go away/
On a serious note, have you guys considered why the costs increase so much from t2 to t3? I think it’s because you can salvage the lvl 80 armors and get an ectoplasm, so the ANet had that in mind when they set the price of the armor.
Because ectoplasms will be 20 gold per piece in the future.
Make it ascended, problem solved.
Giver’s set is actually a balanced set. Well, if you look at it in a certain way, from a certain angle and the eleventh dimension.
It’s the confirmation of an expansion pack set in Elona, thus skipping Cantha for eternity.
Those kind of people should be banned, seriously. I hope someone hacks into their accounts deleted everything, it’s what they deserve.
Before the human gods return, the Mursaat will make a re-appearence. Also the Seer.
They will wipe out charr and furries first and then asuran because they are too annoying.
It will be plant vs people vs giants vs seer vs mursaat. The ultimate showdown of destiny
Hey, I also went to explore every room in my house when I was little.
You know, the headgear for eles, the masks for mesmers, the shoulder equipment or headgear for warriors and guardians.
What do you do with them? Do you transmute them later? Do you want to see more of these unique items, but to be obtainable after the very beginning?
I keep them until I am lvl 80, then I start to try to find a combination of gear. Unfortunately is the starter headgear for eles not striking at all.
For what level is tarnished coast?
You got to bring a frying pan and some cooking oil to defeat this frog, did not any NPC tell you this during the mission?
Necromancers can come in handy and I believe you can cook this frog with 5 people better than you can cook the frog with 20 people. Gastronomy is an art, ANet understands it, the people who beat the frog understand it and now it’s time for you to understand it.
Gear Wars 2
Grind Wars 2
Guest Wars 2
Gzoom Wars 2
I don’t know
Instead of buying the t3 cultural armors you could gear so many lvl 80 characters with exotic equipment.
You will really have to like how it looks if you want to get it, because the statistics don’t cut it.
Pink was actually the colour for boys in the past. But it’s quite irrelevant to your taste.
If you feel that pink is a girlish colour then that’s fine, it’s rather common sense today.
But you see, common sense is not how the universe works. At least, most of it.
Tyria is part of the underworld and we are all spirits
I think the reason the story in GW1 was much stronger than in GW2 because of the replayable missions that were lengthy and the countless of quests that added to the lore. Also the certain tasks in the missions were memorable and most of the missions took place in areas that were inaccessible in any other way.
These are legendary armors in disguise
Certain monsters drop a fine crafting material. Like the fireflies in kessex hills drops some kind of venom. So you can farm the materials if you want, but it’s much faster to buy it off the auction house.
Pink is the way to go if you want to be manly
I blame the nerd asuras. If more behaved like Vekk, they would be great.
Quaggans are to blame as well.
Hail Krait
Hail Charr
Hail Norn
As a warrior I pretty much steamrolled everywhere. As an ele I am facing trouble in the higher level zones. What am I doing wrong here?
To precizely seperate them from the method of grinding FotM and making them gear meant for all players.
If you could trade them in for pristine relics then that would mean that if you grinded you could possibly get them faster and more of them. Now there is an achievement gate instead of a gate that includes grinding up to higher levels of FotM to get pristine relics.
You can do fractals which could be fun from time to time. Also sPvP could provide some fun. Moreover, if you’d like to have some pvp with some PvE aspect, you really got to try WvWvW which can get a lot of fun.
Hope that helped you out. Good luck.
That’ll be worth millions some day
Don’t need it….no need to feed the elitist brats. If perfection in gear or build is needed to succeed at anything, then the game is too hard and thus doomed to die.
The normal players will not feel good about themselves if too much failure and they will quit. There are no where near enough hardcore fanatics to keep any game running without the money of the casuals, thank God.
Ya, there’s that, too. I was reading over the gw2lfg page, & thinking, “Yup, I can do that, I have the necessary gear, have a guardian/warrior/mesmer to choose from, & I know the instance,” but after all the ‘no noob’ type comments, I also thought, as I so often did in WoW – WHY would I want to spend 8 seconds with these people? Not for anything! Then I shuddered, closed the page, & ran screaming away.
Did you scream for or against this feature of being able to check people’s gear? And how many decibels approximately?
The only reason I am wondering is whether it’s possible is because so that I can buy a new copy with it. I just have posted a thread in which I describe a some sort of compulsion I have. Feel free to comment.
Lately I have been facing a little frustration with the game. This regarding to having many characters.
Anyone else get the feeling that you are somehow compelled to play, let’s say, all 8 of your characters but somehow feel like you want to start again with a brand new char because of how much of a time-vampire it becomes and everything sort of become loose and out of control so that it doesn’t live up to what you are playing for in the first place?
Now I have been thinking of getting a second account of GW2 and just having one character to play through all the content and not worry about any alternate characters.
What are your opinions and views on this and is it a normal feeling to have?
Take it easy moral crusaders. Do you mind staying on-topic, please?
So I bought it on the official website nearly a year ago.
Let’s say if you have played 600 hours, is there any chance you can get a refund?
It is entertaining because let’s face it
having your head cut off by a risen noble is hilarious
I am also disappointed too, I mean,
where is my daily deaths?
Compared to GW1, GW2 is a much easier game and obviously aimed at a younger audience.
Sometimes it seems like it gradually resets, like the stats decrease
Yes, I would like to see other people’s gear because with all the different looks of gear I want to know who I can kick from my party if we do a particular dungeon
It’s the less accurate throw, but if you can aim well it’s better.
They should never have introduced a new gear tier and put it behind grind gates. At least they are trying to negate the consequences of making some of the ascended gear available with a currency that’s obtainable without grinding. But still, they should have merely introduced new exotics with unique looks in the fractals or even different sets of armor and weapons (all exotic) but different in looks so that people who want to grind FotM will not be better off regarding statistics but by having unique gear.
It really went against their philoshopy of not having to grind to get to the fun stuff. Now the fun part is that a guy with ascended gear will have a better chance in defeating you in combat in WvWvW than a guy with merely exotic. Especially if both are highly skilled.
I love the gear grinding Mike O Brian. Thanks for telling us about doing a dungeon over and over to get gear that’s clearly better than anything else and that long before release, I appreciate being well-informed.
So…basically you wanna do a dungeon once and get an entire set right?
That’s not what I said. The exotic dungeons sets are well set-up. That’s mainly for looks. But the ascended items are a different story.
I love the gear grinding Mike O Brian. Thanks for telling us about doing a dungeon over and over to get gear that’s clearly better than anything else and that long before release, I appreciate being well-informed.
The male norn looks ridiculous though, like a big walking 1d10t
to those who seem to be misinformed about ascended gear, its is the final rarity, not the final tier, it was stated there would be additional tiers within rarities in the future.
Dig that quote up and link it, because I really want to read the context from which it was taken.
As a matter of fact, I would also like to see that context of your non-contextual statement of the possible fact that it would be stated in a context of possible facts.
GW1 offered quite some dramatic scenes. If there is any place we learnt to be dramatic, it’s the dramatic GW1 cutscenes of dramatica.
