To kick abusive people, or those who do not meet your LFGs criteria, such as “LF Berserker only” and a Bearbow joins or “All welcome, no skipping” and someone skips. I’ve been reported many times for kicking people at last boss 50% health because they abuse me thinking it’s too late for them to be kicked.

4/6/0/4/0 is the best axe build. Clicking the link will redirect you to a build calc that will give you armor/runes/sigils & trait numbers.

6/6/0/2/0 is the next best axe build. Only use this if another Warrior has Empowered Allies in the group. That Warrior should have both banners, hence the 2 signets.

Do note that currently Deep Strike is bugged and you get the Signet of Might passive as long as you have Healing Signet, so swap that out for Frenzy until it is fixed.

I always run Axe/Sword offset as pure GS is the best build right now, and it’s the best weapon set if you need to swap for defensive reasons.

Rabid is basically the king of offensive condi amulets.

It’s already very strong in WvW, situational in PvE but poor in PvP.

Sadly, not every skill can be brilliant in every situation. It’s affected by stance traits which is enough of a buff for it.

I’ve had this. I didn’t get them refunded on the day they said (I believe the 12th) so I submitted a ticket. I got a reply saying they should be rolled on the 15th due to a delay. I didn’t get, so I submitted another ticket. Been told it needs further investigation.

Still waiting on a reply, why am I not surprised that this dye refund thing didn’t work out eh.

Just post “Story mode, no rush”. It will keep the “meta” players and those after quick runs away.

Then again, as it’s a story mode maybe not, but you can always vote to kick if people disregarded your LFG.

While it’s not 1000g, I sold ~200g of T5 immediately after announcement which I earned from no more than 3 months of dungeons for me (and I haven’t been opening champ bags, I’ve saved them). It’s very real he has 1000g if he has been collecting for months on end, but in essence that practically is speculation.

The only thing that might delay t5 mats crashing is the fact that precursors are still expensive. Its still hard to say, if the general demand spike for precursors is over or not. If precursors prices dont go down, demand for t5 mats might still be higher than supply, but i doubt it.

Which do you think is more likely – If T5 does go down, precursors will too as rares will be cheaper to craft so players get more “attempts” in the forge for the same cost. Or will T5 not budge, because more players will want precursors due to a crash in T6 materials, thus a cheaper Gift of Fortune?

Pointless question. If you’re looking for optimal personal DPS it was recently proven that Pure-Greatsword is a better choice.

It actually isn’t. If you can’t get off 100b reliably, GS DPS is screwed. Axe AA is a lot easier to get off because you can move and it doesn’t suffer as much from being interrupted for dodges.

Also, I’m not too sure on this one because apparently the tooltips in game don’t show the full picture so I can’t rely on my pure theory calculations (which shows axe to have higher DPS), but apparently the conclusion that theorycrafters who compare DPS tests frame by frame came to was that unless you can wall-WWA, GS and axe actually have about the same DPS.

It really actually also depends on how you play and how the situation turns out. For example, lately, I’ve started to come to a conclusion that personally in most cases in a PUG, if I run an EA build, on most fights which aren’t facerolls, I definitely have higher DPS by using fast hands and switch between them, because I can’t get off 100b all the time (due to things like a lack of personal reaction time to deal with soem of them and other things like how other players move around being out of my control), but just enough that the 5 second CD has significant benefits for me, so being able to constantly adapt and switch between 100b and AA/Evicerate more than compensates for the DPS loss on a single weapon.

If you miss the last triple chop your damage sucks with the Axe due to being backloaded damage. Interrupting 100B hurts, but not as much as interrupting your Axe chain as the damage is less backloaded. This was taken into account when DeKeyz & co. helped to calculate DPS. GS is both theoretically and practically better DPS.

Statistical upgrades are objectively worth it when gold is plentiful in the game with nothing but cosmetics to spend it on.

A few variants.

4/6/0/4/0 is currently the best build. It brings a crucial buff – Empowered Allies – to the group at a cost of a 3% damage multiplier and a 15% damage multiplier. The 150 Power from E.A. outweighs this loss, though.

6/6/0/2/0 is the next best build if you already have a Warrior in the group using Empowered Allies. The other Warrior should have both banners, hence the signets. Currently there is a bug with Deep Strike trait that will give Signet of Might for free, so swap it out for Frenzy.

0/6/0/6/2 will be the build you want to run to carry PUG groups, where the group is struggling to keep up any reasonable Might stacks. On your own, you will be able to keep close to 25 Might stacks on each group member, it’s quite remarkable but a huge loss in personal DPS. Again, a PUG carrier.

I’ve been out of WvW for a couple of weeks due to exams, what happened? Did someone !Gandara win last week’s matchup?

Gandara were winning going into final day of the weekly match, and per usual a small number of FSP hackers show up. But as FSP overnight crew worked hard this weak, the points were close.

The hacker this time was using an invisible/invulnerable golem to destroy the gates, but this time the FSP commanders and the large zerg capitalise on their friendly hacker and flip towers that had no chance of being defended with the hacker moving onto the next tower while the zerg is in the previous.

Then they claim it was an “earned” victory, but that distasteful last act of them condoning and using the results of their hacker has negated the positive atmosphere created by the few legitimate FSPers left that worked overnight.

TLDR; FSP commanders and the following zerg abused the effects of their servers’ hacking.

So much proof has been provided already.

Weapon diversity is an issue as well, and not all engis use kits btw but still those engis that don’t do not want legendary weapons because of the problems we face with lack of weapon choices.

Trying to pass of “I don’t want to use kits” as a reason to have more weapons is ridiculous. That’s like me saying “I’m a Mesmer but don’t want to use Focus, Torch, Sword, Pistol or Greatsword, so we need more weapon diversity please!”

It’s a support thing. You have a spammable blast finisher on Cluster Bomb, and a good escape tool on Infiltrators Arrow, but that’s about all it’s good for. Don’t build about the shortbow, it’s awful for combat.

SB is mostly “glued” to a Thief’s second weapon set because whenever you don’t have it as a second, you always wish you had it. However, it’s an atrocious choice for the first set.

It’s almost objectively not worth purchasing. You will need to use ~46k basic salvage kits before it saves money.

All that said, I still have it as it allows me to clear my inventory for extensive dungeons runs/eotm farming while allowing me to use the “extra room” for fluff like fun tonics and Krytan torch.

Now that I finally have 250 Doubloons, I can level my Ranger, which I’ve been waiting to do for so, so long. (because Sword looks kitten fun and my Ranger looks LIKE a kitten)

Question is, what pet do I use for leveling? I’m not looking to cheese through by “logging at end” of dungeons as I need to get a good feel for sword. X Drake & Red Moa?

Engineer is … weird. It’s not part of the meta, but it’s an absolute PUG carrier. You can stack large amounts of Might & Vuln (which PUGs always seem to lack) aswell as dealing very underrated damage even when you need to fall back because your groups “stack” goes badly, then they have no idea of the mechanics and thus end up getting downed.

You don’t see many because of the APM required, not many main Engie because RSI is not fun.

Back before I joined rT i filtered pugs. These days if I do pug, i dont see the point in filtering. Often the time taken to fill the group is too long to justify it. And even with a filtered group the run isnt going to be perfectly smooth/fast. Best to just go with what you get and only kick those that actually hinder progression. There really isnt much point in it when pugging. But everyone is free to do so if they wish.

Kinda what I do now. I haven’t had a 5 man CM party in days ’cause horribad pugs. The only dungeons that are “safe” to PUG are the “train” ones, SE, COF etc. and Arah, but even then you usually have to go through about 4 different people before you get one who manages the ez-pz p3 trash skip.

Overtime in a minimum wage (UK) job is about 60g/hr, probably more now gem prices spiked.

what I normally do to “fight” against ppl that don’t read is that I write a lot of giberish at the start so in the LFG you can only see something like this: OMGWTFTROLLLEETIDGASWIASI. After that I write the real message. Normally ppl will read what’s inside and if they don’t I do another thing too, I write ""something"@join" so if they don’t say that “something” its a kick in 10 sec for not reading.

I’m sure it’s fun waiting 20 minutes to save 2 minutes to your run. If you’re pugging, why even opt to try and do it quickly when you can’t even monitor builds or gear?

Banners aren’t really suitable for WvW given how mobile the raid groups are. Especially given that you are only running 1 Banner yet invest 6 traits for it.

What baffles me more is that it’s a banner build using SOR instead of Warbanner, which is already incredible.

How to wipe a bunch of upscaleds who have no idea how to play their class*

Firstly, I don’t really pay attention to precursor markets other than the one specific to the Legendary I next aim for – in this case, Juggernaut.

Even though I don’t pay attention, it’s very difficult to notice the massive spike in most precursors recently, with many hitting 1k for the first time “unmonopolised” but rushing to 1100g.

Now, I’m sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but most of the other precursors have started to drop again, even if slowly. However, Colossus continues to soar and has climbed past the cost of Dawn, which is shocking to me.

I’m trying to deduce why this is. I initially put it down to the expected decline of T6 cost due to the Jubilee (which has already had an effect), but all precursors would spike at the same rate if that was the case. Then I thought “well doubloons have been super low for a while” as I saw they were <1g each the other day, but I checked again and they have gone up too.

Any hints why? Is Colossus under a monopoly, or am I missing something obvious?

There are several ways to exploit Arah that is known which all include skipping Lupi.

There is nothing wrong with buying paths, but do not buy from exploiters. If there is no waypoint where Lupicus is (I trust you know where this is) report them, tell people in the party he’s scamming, and then leave a find a legitimate seller.

ArenaNet seemingly refuse to fix Arah. And reputable sellers do not want these runs being sold, because scammers and exploiters drive the price down crippling their profit/hr.

You mostly see AP requirements in AC, and rarely elsewhere.

Yes they are an awful measure of skill. They should be renamed “Living Story Points”. Arguably, those with a high amount, say 15k+, are likely worse players than those with ~5k because it just shows they’ve spent their time achievement farming, daily farming & doing LS.

1) Organised is possible 24/7 but not likely. Have a second gear set with the other rune. I do that, Scholar on one, Strength on other. Organised for one, PUG for other.

2) Phalanx strength is perfectly viable. I didn’t say it wasn’t. I said it wasn’t optimal, which it isn’t. Viable and optimal are two completely different things. I personally run Phalanx with Strength runes in PUGs myself, for the exact reason you said – a 100% uptime on 25 Might stacks group-wide.

lol not really. Wvw and pvp in general is about skill more than gear. While gear is important gear won’t carry a player in wvw like it carrys a player in PVE. When there are many examples of uplevels killing decked out 80s you will understand what I mean.

Well he is easy if you know the attacks and have adequate number of dodges. Especially as you’re posting in the Warrior forums. If you know him, it’s quite hard to balls it up unless you try to balls it up.

Rune of Scholar are still BiS for organised group if you can stay over 90% HP 36.5% of the time (when compared to Strength, 2nd BiS or PUG BiS).

Best thing players can do is get two armor sets. One with Scholar, and one with Strength. Runes are expensive, but you can always salvage them unless you’re stupid and put them in WvW/Karma armor.

Scholar can hardly compete it because not only is its effect situational at best, in dgn/ wvw, 45% strength duration is ALOT to take into account. The extra might layers gain from 45% might duration can easily surpass the extra damage scholar offers.

Scholar is good for roaming in easy outdoor content though (especially warrior), because with healing signet, most of the time your hp will be full.

I’m afraid you don’t know what you are talking about. Scholar best for roaming on especially a Warrior? You make me laugh, Strength or nothing for soloing. The only time Strength is better in a group situation is a) PUGs where Might stacks are always lacking, or b) Phalanx Strength builds, which are far from optimal anyway so why even discuss this?

It’s very important to have a Guardian, even if you don’t want one as your main. That way, you will never have to rely on PUG Guardians to save your kitten with timed aegis and reflects while running an AH build, because you’re in control of that.

Both Warrior & Ele are absolutely necessary in every good group, because of the offensive support from Warrior, coupled with very fair damage, and ridiculous DPS from an Ele even without the Fiery Exploit Sword.

Either of those 3, really, rest is just a mishmash and changes depends where you are.

On the other hand, for bad groups, I think an engineer actually boosts party DPS more than a Phalanx warrior does. We’re looking at like 10-15 stacks of might from Phalanx from an pug warrior with Forceful Greatsword, and incidental might and vuln, versus 6-12 stacks of might and between 15-25 stacks of vuln from a support-specced engie (i.e. Giver’s weapons and condition duration food).

It’s hard to quantify it because pugs are all over the place but my engie pug runs definitely seem to go faster in general. My slowest pug runs are typically with a mesmer since there’s no boon sharing going on at all usually, but at the same time those are really safe and AFK-proof too.

Strength runes with 10% & 5% on GS, I maintain 25 stacks of group-wide Might in PUGs without Warbanner. And, as has recently been emerged, pure GS > partial axe for personal DPS anyway.

The 10% Sigils are some of the best Sigils in the game. You don’t use them on a permanent basis.

For example, you have a spare weapon (usually Exotic unless you’re a big spender) with a Sigil of Justice on when you run Caudecus’ Manor dungeon, or Sigil of Undead when you run Arah or Crucible of Eternity in combination with Night. Night Sigil, another 10% is borderline ridiculous and straight up needs a nerf.

They are stupidly OP Sigils if players are prepared to keep a small collection of weapons on them. But, granted, they are painfully weak in open-world except for maybe Undead.

I don’t know the exact figure, but Sigil of Fire isn’t even as good as Sigil of Force, btw, let alone 10% Modifiers.

Why not both? You can salvage runes from items when you’re done and lose next to nothing, unless you’re stupid and put them in WvW/Karma gear even though we know by now you can’t salvage those.

If you’re running Phalanx Strength you’re in a PUG group, where Strength > Scholar. Alternatively, high level fractals where LH Ele & Staff Ele combo is a lot more difficult, but if you’re playing that 80g for Strength runes doesn’t matter.

Especially for FotM, it’s the worst place you can think of to ever ever use vitality/toughness attributes. With 1-shot mechanics, the attributes do almost nothing to help you survive while at the same time drastically reducing the damage you inflict (by not having precision/ferocity), and making the fight take longer. Also, having PVT would be making super useful foods like omnom pies/candied dragon rolls (lifesteal on crit) not work much.

Think about it realistically — none of us are perfect players, so doesn’t it seem reasonable to assume that the longer an encounter is, the more opportunity there is for you to make mistakes? With 1-shot mechanics, that means death.

In short, always use DPS builds/gear. Get berserker.

I used to use a few piece of Knights pre-fractal 50 cap. Being able to take a second hit at those stupid high, now non-existant, levels was worth a small damage sacrifice.

But now, Berserker with some extra Berserker.
