After a controversial topic about why the trait is bad, I have been proved that Phalanx Strength can be a very potent trait in random groups, where you cannot rely on an Elementalist to Might Stack correctly, as well as fools (usually Guardians) overlapping Fire fields with less important fields.
I do want to make it absolutely clear that this build is not an optimal build for organised teams, but rather a PUG build
This is the build itself – 2/6/0/6/0 – Axe/Mace /Sword.
Equipment:
I know a lot of players will be outraged and throw abuse at me for not including a GS with a Might Stacking build, but this is because it simply is NOT necessary and cuts the Warriors personal DPS by ~2k. More than enough Might is stacked randomly in the group, through your own FGJ & SOR, more often than not other PUG Warriors using FGJ & SOR/Battle Standard, and we all know PUG Guardians love their Empower on the Staff.
If this for some reason isn’t enough, just do a few might stacks with the Longbow pre-pull and off you go.
If you encounter it not reviving from the downstate, the player was poisoned.
I’m not suggesting a build as you stated you don’t want “super viability”, but I do want to mention that you do not want to run a GS build without fast hands, as the auto attack on the GS is downright horrendous.
Whatever base is, and then far lower.
I can’t complain for free, but I doubt I’ll ever be able to complete that ticket.
Really? I’ve submitted many, many tickets regarding my own account and all have been answered within a reasonable time. Even now, with the huge amount of tickets the 15th patch would have yielded, I got a reply AND solution within a couple of days.
I have nothing but good to say about the support, in honesty.
The loot was nerfed because it was far too rewarding for it’s difficulty & effort.
It literally threw copious amounts of raw gold at players for a small amount of auto attacking with way-pointing, and large amounts of AFKing, Netflixing and Dorito-eating. So if this is all you enjoyed, lets face it – you don’t enjoy the game at all.
I’d much rather have champion bags contain no gold whatsoever, with the reward being T6/Exotics to drive crafting component prices down to a more reasonable price.

And then you run with a zerker thief along with a full zerker party and realize warrior is actually mid tier DPS.
thief DPS is second only to eles
And then you look at your HP and you are almost dead. Naked warrior still has more survivability than a geared thief in PvE.
And then you realize you should be better at avoiding damage through dodging.
Why I would dodge if I can just use my warrior?
Because you need to maintain >90% HP to keep your 10% damage from BIS Scholar runes. Not to mention standing still pressing 1 is very dull, why submit yourself to that just because it’s “easier”?
If you join a group that says gearcheck, it’s perfectly reasonable for them to check gear
if you join a group that says experienced, it’s perfectly reasonable for them to expect you to be experienced.If you join a group and are not what was requested, it’s perfectly reasonable for them to kick you.
Yet I still get flamed/abused/reported whenever I kick someone for clearing not knowing how to stealth skip in CM when I clearly state experienced zerkers.
I vote with my wallet. You should too.
Don’t like what they have in the gem store, or prices associated? Don’t purchase. I haven’t put a penny in the gem store for a few months now, because either prices are extortionate (500 gems for 1 piece of armor, whereas it used to be 800 gems for a full set) or I dislike what they add.

Personally, I prefer it how it is when sheathed, it goes so well with my armor it’s uncanny.
I do, however, understand why you would have liked it to continue to shine on the back.
I have no problem, and I just use Rifle for world events so my damage is junk.
Group up with other people there. That helps the no-loot thing in EOTM, so worth a try at world events.
If you salvage equipment that was bought with Karma or Badges of Honor, you get NO essences of luck/globs of ectoplasm/dark matter/crafting materials, none of that. You ONLY get the chance based on your salvage kit of getting the upgrade back. This solves so many issues it’s not even funny.
Agreed. People used to exploit but if you get nothing from salvaging other than what you put in yourself, what is there to exploit?
Other people need to note that exotic Karma armor & BOH armor comes with no runes, same with weapons & sigils.
Using the deep trike exploit to try to pass your build off as good? Come on, dude, that’s bogus and we know it.
Also, your sigil choice is horrendous. Why sacrifice utility runes or damage multiplier runes just to make your stats look good?
Interruptting Ether Renewal is a first step. They won’t have stability everytime they use it.
But as someone else stated, you can usually just pressure them into running of the point which is a win in s/tPvP.
You don’t actually have to pay anything to “test” runes. If you’re testing yourself and not leaving it to other players to research, get yourself one of the spreadsheets and input all the data in there and you will be able to see how X compares to Y and why Z is better all without spending a copper until you purchase the rune you know you want.
Ferocity is supposed to give players less Crit % than the old system, btw, that was the purpose.

That aside, Anet has got to make money somehow unless box sales remain like they were at launch…
Agreed, they are not aiming updates to force people to spend. OP didn’t need to buy upgrade extractors, or purchase gems, he just chose to.
I spent a whopping 8s on Sigils/Runes in total post patch, and that’s purely because Wardrobe system let’s me use my Frostfang/Sunrise in CM & Arah now, so I bought 2 extra Axes & 2 GS’ and put the appropriate 10% Sigil in. I didn’t need to test, I just spreadsheeted to find my existing runes were still optimal.

Probably a new influx of horrible PvE players in PvE traits & runes/sigils grinding for the PvP tracks.
I don’t know the event that this is (I haven’t bothered with the traits, and the ones I do care about I purchased because I dislike open world), but it is bad game design if a small group of players can stop a whole megaserver from being able to unlock.
Of course the opportunity to pay to unlock is there, but players shouldn’t “have” to.
It’s time the requirements were revisited so players can get these traits without being attacked by griefing.
At that point I told them they were all idiots because what’s the point of running 4 Warriors + Mesmer if you’re going to waste so much time due to your inflated ego.
That sounds about right. People wasting time being picky to “save” time often take longer. That’s why you only see Zerker posts on the LFG – because the non-zerk only fill up nigh on instant and are already 3/4 through the dungeon before the Zerkers even fill up.
I know some player’s would rather a longer preparation time and do the dungeon quicker – because they find “quick” dungeon fun – but players need to use their sense. You’re never getting a true speedrun in a PUG, so why try? Just take anybody that isn’t using junk Bearbow or AH Guard.

It’s a boring, uninteresting trait. Eles still do might stacking better pre-pull and, outside fractals, Ele might should last any boss fight else you’re doing it wrong.
I can also see Phalanx getting hit with an ICD.

There is a 2 tier limit per day via Hotjoin matches, which is what you go into when you press the “Play Now” button. This counts for player owned servers as well. Solo and team que give infinite progression. I totally had the same issue a few days ago, so I know how ti feels.

I’m trying to complete the bi-weekly track, and completed the first 2 tiers with no issues.
However, now when I try to progress further matches give me nothing towards the next tier.

Are you sure your comments are factual, or are you talking about Dungeon speed clears? Because he did say WvW in his post.

Practically factual. No “meta” WvW build, even those that are “healers” have Toughness & Condition Damage as their minors. Especially as the 2 “healers” (Guardian & Ele) are both lacking in Vitality departments.
Minstrel is pretty up to par in terms of Legendaries. It has a sound effect, a shining aura, as well as the musical notes.
The only thing lacking is maybe footsteps, but this is shared with FSP and partially Howler too (which footsteps are practically invisible). Maybe this needs seeing to, for all three, but at the same time a lot of people like that footsteps lacking (I for one enjoy not having footsteps on my Shield).
IMO, Minstrel isn’t cheaply priced because of it’s lacking effects, it’s because there are so many other wonderful foci available – especially when you Anomaly is one of the most loved weapons in the game, let alone as a focus.

So I crafted Frenzy today, and while of course I was aware of what the weapon looked like and all it’s effects, I can’t help but feel underwhelmed by it. Don’t get me wrong, I like the weapon, but when I compare it against my Spear, Kamohoali’i, it’s just so much worse.

It’s an attempt to make people buy the overpriced Extractor in the gem store.
No rune is currently financially worth using that on.
Sadly, there’s no way to transmute runes.
warrior can run perma 25 might stacks.
with those new traits he can share all 25 mights to party members.
For a gargantuan DPS cost. An Ele can stack this and still do higher DPS than even a Meta Warrior build.
No boss fight should last long enough where Might from an LH Ele doesn’t maintain until the boss dies. And if it does, your group doesn’t care about efficiency so you may aswell run dual axe shout heals.

Scholar runes are still better, as a rule. Few niche situations where Strength is better, and that’s in some wonky build like a Phalanx Warrior, which if you’re running you don’t care about efficiency and probably used Ruby Orbs pre patch anyway …
But as this is the BLTC section, I have no idea why they spiked so hard when better runes are still available for cheaper – maybe it’s because they aren’t craftable unlike the “better” runes so there is no price limiting factor.
Guardian is still OP everywhere, just like always. How can people not like them, unless it simply is not fun?
I, personally, love my class. Even with the nerfs we receive it still remains fun. My second choice, Ele, is still incredibly fun and satisfying.
Does this mean that I could just have it on my aquatic, zone in, jump in the water and kill 25 things, and have BL applied to my land based weapons? or do you have to have one on a land weapon as well?
Even better. You can have an on-land stacking set and then remove the stacking set to a normal set as long as you keep the same stacking sigil on an underwater weapon.

I disagree with the above and I disagree with anet for telling the person above me that. Guess what ANET lies. Its still zerk or gtfo why becasue half zerk half tank or anything less than full zerk is in a worst posistion now than it was before. It just cant cut it anymore. Trust me I know I tried running my full ascended zerk with my soldiers armor in PVE and it is so bad now. Atleast before the damage was still low but decent. NOW? its terribad. You need to go full zerk just to get back to be equivalent of a half zerk before. Now a half zerk now is equivalent to a quater zerk before its pretty drastic. ANET changed nothing they only efffed the game and warriors over more.
Clearly you have tested nothing, as Dungeons are currently broken right now and also affected by the script ANet ran to reduce stats of open world mobs.
I’m noticing significant speed increase in all dungeons.
Oh great now I’ll have warriors replacing my 30s might stacks with 6s might stacks. If you see a S/D or S/F ele in your party please don’t use this trait.
Get ready to kick these noobs.

With the Ferocity changes & new GM traits, it was inevitable the meta would shift at least a little bit. I’m here to shine light on the matter to those who don’t look at external sources.
Note that there is no best build, they are situational and I will explain where each one fits
1) “Main” Warrior Axe/Mace /Sword.
Traits:
4| V, X
6| I, V, XIII

4| VI, VIII

This is the equivalent of the pre-patch 30/10/0/20/10 Empowered Allies build. One Warrior in every group should be running this, and will use both Banner of Discipline & Banner of Strength when multiple Warriors are present.
The reason for the change is that taking 10 points from Strength & 10 points from Discipline and applying them into Arms works out to be more DPS than the pre-patch build was because of the new GM trait, while still maintaining Empowered Allies. Do note that it is absolutely worth swapping to the Sword as part of your rotation, as Impale -> Rip increases your overall DPS.
This is still a DPS build at heart, so armor is still full Berserker, your runes are all Scholar, with sigils maintaining your 10% Modifier (Night, Undead etc) on your Axe, and Force on both your Mace & Sword.
2) DPS Warrior Axe/Mace /Sword
Traits:

What’s that? The best DPS build doesn’t feature a GS?! Good, eh? If you already have a Warrior in the group, this is the build to run. Not really much else to say, other than Dual Wield Agility is borderline OP. The 10 points in Tactics are slightly better than 10 in Discipline, but both are viable.
Again, make sure Impale->Rip is part of your rotation because it will increase your overall DPS.
As standard, full Berserker with Scholar runes. 10% Modifier in Axe, Force in Mace and Sword.
3) Solo Warrior GS Axe/Mace or Warhorn

6| V, IX, XI
5| V, X
0|
0|
3| VI
Yep. The standard 30/25/0/0/15 is downgraded to a solo build. Forceful Greatsword is far too good in a solo environment.
Full Berserker – standard. Strength runes, however, are better than Scholar. Your Sigils will be your standard 10% Multiplier & Force in your GS, with 10% in your Axe & Battle in your Mace or Warhorn.
Nothing to say here, standard build everybody knows and played anyway.
Something would be amiss if I didn’t mention the little stacking trick.
You want Bloodlust to be your stacking sigil. You can stack on land, and replace the weapons while maintaining your stacks, as long as you have an underwater weapon with the same sigil.
Nothing more to say.

PvE? No, nothing will top Berserker still. I can’t comment on the state of Warrior in othe content.
If you’re PUGing, a 4/6/0/4/0 Axe/Mace /Sword build would be better in full Berserker and just learn to play. Swapping out to 6/6/0/2/0 if someone else is running Empowered Allies.
Say goodbye to the Greatsword, it no longer sits as part of the Dungeon meta.
The best part is that Warrior is one of the classes that came out relatively unscathed from this. Dual Wield Agility is soooooooooo good that it’s borderline OP.
All in all, a pretty good update. Great, I can use my Legendaries & Black Lion skins on all my characters – yay neat – but what the Grenth has happened to the name chances?
My Wings of Dwayna are NOT a Molten Longbow. My Sunrise is NOT a Greatsword of the Dragon’s Deep. And my Kamohoali’i is absolutely NOT a “Vital Iron Spear”.
So I had 2 full sets of gem store town clothing – Mad King’s (which was equipped to my Warrior pre-patch) and Fancy Winter’s (equipped to my Ele pre-patch). How can I access them? Will trading them for this tonic “retrieve” them? Is this the only way?
Town clothes has been lazily done. I don’t want to trade them for a tonic, I just want to get them back where I can place them in my bank, so I can be refunded 1600 gems and have this sham taken away from me.
IMHO they should just give you a token to trade one of your legendaries in for any other one. They’re all roughly the same amount of work to build.
Okay, I’ll just make 6 Frenzies with a portion of my money right now then, and then swap them for 6 Twilight’s when the patch goes live and make about 4800g profit. I like your idea.

Dyes exclusive to Dye Packs from the Gem Store will be replaced in the event they were applied to multiple characters on the same account prior to the Feature Pack on April 15th. Duplicates of these dyes will be replaced via the in game mail by May 11th. In order to receive replacements for these duplicate dyes:
