The Mini Karka doesnt have limited availability as it still drops from mobs in Southsun. Personally i got one in July or August last year, way after the event and sold it for 200 gold. The droprate is so low though, that not much get reintroduced into the market.
Not to mention Southsun is largely unpopulated and unfarmed, so it’s not as if there are even many chances for the Mini Karka to be rolled to drop.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens to these if we receive an update that involves us returning to Southsun.
A time machine to the 31st May for Wildstar.
I agree with the OP. I have Twilight, but I have to uneuip it to put on a different gs because of the sigil in cases such as speed running Arah. Or once I’m done stacking with perception, I want to have some other boost like others do where they swap in some other weapon.
A library of pre-purchased sigils would be great.
Speedrunning is a small minority of players. It’s important to highlight uses to normal player for something like this to be implemented.
Simply put, Hammer just doesn’t meet damage requirements. It has a lot of CC, but due to bosses Defiant stacks this is worthless. Trash is just that, trash – they die far too easily and quickly for CC to really come into play.
I was wondering if anyone had a build for a straight up Warrior, sword / shield Tank
Yes, and players may aswell 4 man the dungeon than bring a waste of time like that.
Gift of Mastery -
WvW rank 200.
Solo’d a dungeon achieve.
Solo’d Lupi achieve.
“Has been on the top 100 spvp rank list” achieve.Get a token for each and whack them in the forge.
Full legendaries can’t be bought on the TP, only pres and mats. Everything else can stay the same.
There we go, that makes them more “legendary” and should cut the numbers down a fair bit.
Everybody should be able to get a BIS item.
That is why I don’t PUG, look at all the un-nourished players. Not to mention Signet of Air at level 49, ooft! What an ele.
No there is no way sigils or food could of done it because you cant hit jademaw with regular attacks. It requires the use of projectile finishers and dark fields when standing in a certain place.
Leeching Sigil works, Mr Spoj.
It is down to the player to avoid such attacks – This is very easily done against a Hammer, as it is a slow weapon and all 3 disables are highly telegraphed so easily dodgeable. Not to mention timed Aegis or Blinds, aswell as movement skills and stun-breaks or stability if the skill does land.
It’s like standing in the middle of a Necromancer’s well bomb and calling them OP because a player is seriously unskilled or too lazy to dodge/move.
One of the worst stats and unusable. Just treat it as a nice blue skin.

My question is: what are they going to do with a massive structure like the breachmaker?
They are going to turn it into a coffee shop.
It’s being nerfed in the balance patch. We’ve known this for like 2 months now.
If you only intend on making 1, get Force.
But, honestly, you should have at least 2, which should be Night & Force or Night & Undead.
You’ve done the crafting & got the recipes already, making the same weapon again is super cheap and there really is no reason not to. For that reason, get 4 – Night, Undead, Force & Bloodlust.
Is axe superior, sure. Pure damage is right now in this game, but my overall point is that sword (OH or MH or shield OH) is not kick worthy for most groups.
MH Sword is absolutely kick worthy. It’s an incredible amount of damage less than Axe or Greatsword.
MH Sword is not a DPS option, and anybody who does not run a DPS option does not belong in speedruns. It’s up to the player to join the group that they fit in, rather than complain when they get kicked from a run they aren’t suited for.
There is also a responsibility on the person creating the group to properly advertise what he or she is looking for.
I know I absolutely do. People just don’t read, that isn’t my fault.
Recently, I asked for 2 experienced players, pref Mes & War for Arah P2. Mesmer was unable to skip anything and didn’t contribute to either of the first 2 bosses, and didn’t feedback Lupicus. I specifically stated experienced, so tell me how I am a criminal for kicking her mid Lupicus as she lay dead on the floor.
I don’t believe for a moment you didn’t exploit to kill him before colossus phase was over. Why? Because not enough Crystals will have spawned to do that.
You (or more accurately your team) likely abused the lifesteal glitch, hiding it, and deserve no reward for doing so.
Maybe the March sale will include exclusive dye kits. I would not be surprised in the least if this is done; in fact, it would make sense. Those dyes are similar to Kasmeer’s staf, Rox’s bow and quiver, or any other limited item from this season.
I actually would be surprised, as they were very recently on sale.
Warriors shouldn’t be this mobile.
But very often, any Warrior specced for it is just a troll and wouldn’t be able to kill you anyway, unless you just stand still and eat 100B and 100B ofc.
Healing power as a major? White skin best skin!
And that’s about all, a skin.
As a commander, you don’t want to be taking a death. A dead commander is a useless commander. If you are commanding a bunch of clueless pugs, they will become even more useless when you are dead. Enemy zergs will see your commander tag and focus you, which is one reason why I’m full defense.
There are 2 very hyped MMOs coming out soon that carry the trinity you are looking for. GW2 was designed to replace the trinity, and adding it in now, ignoring that it is far too late to make such a drastic change, is counter productive to what they were trying to accomplish.
Or you could just show someone you love them directly. I’m sorry, but e-marrying your partner in a game isn’t going to win any brownie points.
I can’t say it’s due to moderation, but GW2 has a fairly clean community as far as map chatting goes. There is a minimum level of abuse and disgraceful behaviour, but it’s very good in comparison to most MMOs.
I only not quite sure why 30 in discipline is so much worse than 25 in arms. On paper it looks to me as if I get about the same crit chance but higher crit damage. Ok, so you get rendering strike in arms. Is this really the main reason to go that deep in arms and no go into discipline??
3/6 Assassin and 3/6 Berserker (current Meta – changing with balance patch), Berserker Weapons & Trinkets, Scholar runes & Night/Force Sigils – All ascended of course, I’m only using Versatile Simple infusions, no bonus stats from those.
30/25/0/0/15 usual meta for multiple Warriors. Those are the standard utilities because 30/25 is for a multiple Warrior group so you only take 1 Banner. Self buffed with no food I’m hitting 91% Crit chance. That’ll be 95% with Omnomberry Pie/Ghosts or 96% with the good stuff (curry butternut squash). With a pure axe build I would be at the cap because of Deep Strike.
That is why you don’t need Heightened Focus’ crit chance, it’s already absurdly high and you lose a 10% modifier from Attack of Opportunity & Rending Strikes.
If you were to take Rending Strikes in your build, taking the points from Tactics, you would be so far over the cap you’d be wasting precision, and either have to use Signet of Might (which is worse) or the more expensive Curry Butternut Squash soup. And you’d still be doing less damage.
It’s a terrible build:
That is all.
Is axe superior, sure. Pure damage is right now in this game, but my overall point is that sword (OH or MH or shield OH) is not kick worthy for most groups.
MH Sword is absolutely kick worthy. It’s an incredible amount of damage less than Axe or Greatsword.

Yes, it’s better to promote.
However, there are much better ways to monetize skillpoints.
Such as? Spread some knowledge, I see u have Quit a few legendaries
the website Vol posted says that the current best use of SP is to make the Triforge Pendant, which gives a profit of 3g10s76c per SP.
2nd best seems to be Wintersbark at 2g73s6c, then 3rd is Immobulus at 2g69s38c
Those are indeed some. Of course, do those items actually sell, or are you ultimately going to waste your listing fee? That risk is up to you.
10/10. I lol’d.

I think the only time I’ve used OMM within a few months is against Lupi, when the group wants an immediate big stack of vulnerability to maximise reflection damage.
Except the GS isn’t used in 30/25/0/10/5
Sorry, I though you wrote 30/25/0/0/15, I’m a little dyslexic. What’s the 10 points in tactics for? I don’t see any trait there that would increase DPS enough to not take 15 in discipline, unless you are picking Empowered and running with a Guardian and Ele that give you a ton of boons all the time.
Absolutely empowered. And yes, would be running with both of course. What group doesn’t have a Guardian? And you’re pretty reliant on an Ele might stacking to run 30/25/0/10/5 pure axe, else the GS/Axe meta is better.
@scorpia.2041, please PM your strategies for getting this, I need your help drastically!
She previously said in her last post about this that she is just a dungeon runner/tequatl. I believe she said she got lucky with a lot of the dungeon recipes – which is very believable, I’ve made ~1k gold off Plague recipe alone so if she got multiple she’s laughing all the way to the bank.
Yes, I’d love for them to stop making free content and instead charge me for it. Oh boy I can’t wait!
I take it you never buy anything from the Gem Store?
Not since its all been cash grab 500 gem for 1 piece none-sense. I support the gem store when I deem it worthy, it hasn’t been for the past few months, it’s all been horribly overpriced tosh.

I understand that you wish for there to be more build diversity, but if you have no reason behind changing something other than for the pure sake of change, is it necessarily the best way to approach this desire?
The game doesn’t change, the only way to change the experience is to change the way you play it.
The fundamental problem lies within the design of the game itself and without drastic change to mob AI, variety within instances, class balancing with team synergy and unique specialties, and stuctural changes implemented to dungeons there isn’t any reason for somebody to want to have anything to do with somebody equipped in a way that’s flat out awful by comparison.
unless you party with friends, people who feel the same way and enjoy doing content with drastically different party compositions.
“While a well built SS/LB can’t out DPS the meta Axe build it doesn’t mean that it isn’t good or effective.”
It is awful by comparison. *not if you are the only condition dealer in the party, while not quite as strong and definitely not as bursty, the level of sustained DPS is actually really good if you are using a 30-30-x-x-x build (after all, it is PvE why waste points on defensive stats). It just takes a little time to ramp up your conditions. *
Something to take into account here that’s very important is that most people aren’t like me and solo dungeons all the time; most people do them in groups.
Though it’s not entirely the case, it’s selfish and pretty rude in a way to know that you’re intentionally hindering your potential just because you like to change things up, which directly affects the outcome of the dungeon for the rest of the party.
like I said before, not unless you party with friends and like minded people. I always approve it with the party first. If it’s a party I am making then I just warn people who join that this party don’t give a crap about the meta. They can make the choice to stay or not.
Sure, it depends completely on what specifically we’re talking about here— let’s use this S/S + LB build as an example. This is so blatantly inferior to a warrior using Nike’s GS / Axe build meta that by comparison it’s almost as if the person here isn’t even there. In fact, the idea of them splitting mobs apart by stepping back to range could very well make things even worse than if they weren’t there to begin with.
Who said anything about going to range, I hardly ever range. Even though I play SS/LB I still stack when it is time to stack, it makes blasting my own fire fields that much for efficient.
………………………………………To reply to the second half on the wall of text. I also like to run max DPS and kill things fast but I also enjoy taking a weapon set that is considered bad and making it into something that is actually pretty good. Just like I did to the old MF gear that everyone hated so much, the difference in DPS wasn’t as big as people made it out to be cause most of the time I played better than the pro scrubs in “ping zerker gear plz” and maintained a more constant DPS than they did. All I am looking for is a smooth run, no wipes, and fun fights. That’s all i owe my party, whether that run takes 10 mins or 15 mins (5-8min for CoF1) is mostly irrelevant as long as it went smoothly and everyone had fun
We all know that the Axe-X/GS meta build will deal the most DPS
Wrong, actually. A pure-axe, 30/25/0/10/5 build deals the most DPS in a group setting where other people deal with the Might stacks so you don’t need to worry about Forceful GS.
That is the Axe-X/GS meta build. If GS was the primary DPS weapon I would have called it the GS/Axe-X build.
Except the GS isn’t used in 30/25/0/10/5
First of all: Thank you for your answer, your explanations and your build advice.
Personally, I am not a friend of banners. They are so slow, tend to get in my way during looting and combat is so dynamic that I seldom stand 90 seconds on a place to get the full benefit of it.
Is rendering strike really necessary? I thought that I am able to stack up vuleranbility with axe/mace quite nice without it.
I am note quite sure why you dislike OMM and SIO. I always thought that SIO was one of the best warrior skills. And the shouts have such a nice low CD so that you can use them so often.
Use AOE loot to circumvent picking up bundles such as banners and ele conjured weapons. As for Banners, Strength & Discipline are too good to not have – they are the reason a Warrior is wanted in a group. Without them, Warriors really fall down the pecking order, you are not only gimping yourself but your team too if you do not use them. You can carry a Banner between groups, there really is no reason not to take them. If nobody is picking up the second banner between groups, then it is indeed a waste and should be slotted out for something like Signet of Fury.
SIO is 1 condition, and is not smart removal. Other classes have far better removal to the point where it’s more often than not a waste of a utility.
OMM is quite bad, the only time I would use it is if I only need to take 1 banner, and the group is lacking vuln. But if a Warrior only takes 1 banner, that means there is a second Warrior, so between the two Warriors, plus the other 3 professions whatever they are, there will be – or should be if people are built correctly – at least 15 stacks of Vuln, usually more. If there are more, OMM use is diminishing. It’s a complete waste of trash as it’s single target, and it’s only 5s of Vuln on bosses – which as stated earlier, likely isn’t needed.
Rending strikes has no ICD, and equates to roughly ~4 stacks of Vulnerability in Berserker. That’s a considerable team DPS for only a 10 trait point investment.
I do want to point out what you said here:
Is rendering strike really necessary? I thought that I am able to stack up vuleranbility with axe/mace quite nice without it.
This was your justification for not using Rending Strikes, but you use OMM. Counter argument to yourself – OMM really isn’t a very good skill.
Yes, I’d love for them to stop making free content and instead charge me for it. Oh boy I can’t wait!
This build is arguably better than the “meta”. The meta only stands because of the huge “supply” of people playing Warrior, so banners can be spread ‘cause people lazy. But for a solo Warrior group, the build I linked is better group DPS. It’s also an incredible PUG carrier, it is far better than playing the meta in PUGs even with multiple Warriors.
Reasons this is better than 30/25:
Annoyances:
Your V2 build is pretty much null and moot. HF is an awful trait now it’s Grandmaster, those points are better invested into Arms for better personal and better group DPS. OMM/SIO are niche and should seldom see your utility slot for actual combat – meaning a waste of 10 points. You’re also lacking Rending Strikes, which is a such a good trait I can’t even begin to describe.
If you dislike my EA build and want pure-axe, 30/25/0/10/5 would be the best personal DPS (it is actually better than the meta) if might can be outsourced – i.e. by an Ele. Forceful Greatsword’s Might stacking is the main reason the Greatsword is a good combat weapon, Axe is better DPS under the same buff parameters.
You see the GS so much because people like big numbers, by the way.
(edited by Flissy.4093)
We all know that the Axe-X/GS meta build will deal the most DPS
Wrong, actually. A pure-axe, 30/25/0/10/5 build deals the most DPS in a group setting where other people deal with the Might stacks so you don’t need to worry about Forceful GS.
Why on earth are you using both GS and a Staff is the real question.
I’m trying to do Tequatl, and get shoved into overflow. No problem, I got here too late.
However, whenever I get the window pop that lets me travel, I always get “Network Error”. There’s nothing wrong with my internet, is there another reason for this?
Both are false. Berserker is still going to be the highest damage option. Critical Damage is being changed to Ferocity, which is going to scale less and effectively will reduce the number of Critical Damage an armor/weapon/trinket will give.
Nothing is happening to condition damage.
Hello already 2 week cant chose profession for me try all except guard, mesmer and thief.
Like range dps for pve with strong aoe/single target dmg and good survived ability please help me. Yes all my chars is low lvls
Engineer. The only profession whom has a Ranged option that is “DPS”. Grenades are borderline OP.
Active damage mitigation in gw2 makes it possible to avoid 100% of the damage
No it doesn’t, nobody has that many dodges. Yep, not even S/d or S/p thieves!
Player’s have to soak up small amounts of damage. Berserker/Assassins are an available stat because of a player skill curve, as players learn the game they become less reliant on crutches that are toughness and vitality – because they use their dodges appropriately to dodge the powerful attacks which are often highly telegraphed.
Don’t try and force people to use these stats just because you are not good enough to learn the mechanics yet.
They play for achievement points. Most days they won’t do anything else but their daily. If something is not on the daily they will not do it.
Somehow this is fun for such players.
I don’t believe it takes that long if you do it regulary. Personally i normally only do my 5 or some more if they could be done in the open world, but that takes me mostly 20-30 minutes. Now if people play dungeons and WvW also regulary i think they will also have the rest done rather quick.
He meant every daily achievement – all 8 PvP ones and all 13 normal ones.
Why would you ever waste dev time on this?
Such miniscule differences in performance within a game mode that is already the easiest of its kind in any game ever.
You do realise its helpful for wvw players aswell.
Maybe some players. But not enough for it to be a worthwhile development project. Which was my point the entire time.
So are things such as new skins, new WvW “traits”, new crafts, upgrading crafts , new recipes etc all a waste of development time too? Not everybody participates in those, yet they have been done.
It’s to stop all the BS pulling away so clones don’t trigger or max ranged strafing.
Her leash is a much better place now. What needs fixing is it’s not a group wipe because your PUG doesn’t know how to dodge.
Berserker Stance exists to counter condi crap like Necros. Trin is one of the very few situations it’s actually useful in PVE. 4 seconds of complete invulnerability when combined with Endure Pain is really not OP, because it’s such a hard kitten to self damage and team support.
Also dodging is pretty good.
The principle that legendaries are NOT best in slot weapon should be enough reason to change this. It is more effective to not run a legend than to run one because of the swapping. And people swap weps frequently for dungeon speed clear and wvw.
Sigil library where you insert them and then can switch out of combat (like stats) would be awesome.
Well it’s not really more effective, but having several Ascended with the exact same stats but different Sigil is cheaper, and THAT is more effective. The only reason this change needs implementing.
It’s absolutely sunrise – meaning you’re still lacking “full” legendaries.
As for first EU? Absolutely not. I know at least 2 other Guardians, and I’m sure there’re more.
Congratulations though.
