The Captain’s Airship recently was introduced and it included some things that the Royal Terrace does not. Mainly a Black Lion Weapon Ticket Vendor and a Daily Activity NPC for Sanctum Sprint/Keg Brawl/etc. While these things are luxury goods and does not affect everyone in the game, it sets a dangerous precedent if you make one VIP area inherently better without updating the other. We know you aren’t opposed to changing the Royal Terrace with the recent addition of the skill retraiter. Please add the missing elements to Royal Terrace that are included in the Captain’s Airship

Crashing no. Limited time to spend is absolutely there fault though.

The time it would take to learn how to solo the dungeon, including GL, would likely not be worth it for a lot of people. That’s not even considering a very large percentage probably would never ever be able to accomplish that.

Not to mention it takes ages for selling parties to fill up (given up how many there are nowadays with so many exploits).

Then there are BHBs kicking you.

They do look legendary (of course in my opinion). You don’t need big flashy animations for it to be a Legendary (for this reason is why I dislike Twilight & Sunrise). The Minstrel is really pretty as it is now.

Them being mystic forgeable after removal from the store is fair to everybody – the set I prices went up because they cost 4 minis at a chance, but players who want them can still get them for a reasonable price.

I think this is the first person I’ve ever seen claiming disappointment in Bifrost.

It’s one of the most ideal Legendaries. Twilight/Sunrise are widely deemed OTT, but Bifrost is in the very small range of “ideal”.

I tried to get all of Set 1 just so I could have the achievement points and title and then sell them. I’m stuck now with a few left to go since I set my high bid at 7g (some of the remaining ones are now well over 100g each).

The nice thing is that if I decide to give up on my goal and divest my collection, it will be worth a decent chunk of gold since it is nearly impossible to get these minis now.

I’m pretty sure that Set II can be MFed and throw out Set I? At least I think that’s the case – a discontinued item would be more than these minis cost.

The minipet market is crazy because the buyers are crazy. It’s a market I cannot and will not predict because I simply don’t understand it, especially when people pay four figures for wurm minipets…

When the first LA trailer came out, I remember reading a post that people should stock up on racing moas. I scoffed – who the heck would buy that?

Of course, it went up considerably. I never seem to learn.

I really don’t like minipets, so it does seem crazy to me. However, I understand people paying for their “favourite” minipet. As I say, I’m not a minipet collector, I just don’t like them, but I do have a Molten Firestorm because it’s my favourite.

At most, I’ll use this to finish getting Miniature Collector title if Set I prices are dropping too (I don’t like minis, but I’m a sucker for titles).

Minipets, the Gem Stores latest free promotion. This means it seems like a no-brainer investment, even if you don’t have the cash to tie up.

But hold your horses – how quickly are they likely to rise? Not quickly at all.

Think about it, today everybody who logged in today got 2 fine and 1 uncommon minis (from Set II). That’s a huge injection of minipets into the game – which do not get removed from the game (a la consumables) and are more of a niche market.

Are there enough collectors that want all of the minis? Sure, there are, but by now they probably have their collection as far as Set II goes. So this market currently relies on new people looking to collect – a very minor amount of people.

Now think of the amount of people taking this investment opportunity, it’s very open and in the public eye. Is it worth your time?

Reasons you should invest:

• It will turn a profit eventually.
• Set II could disappear just like Set I did, causing a huge spike.
• Won’t take any mule-space for the first stack.

Just something to think about before you bandwagon.

This is pretty much exactly what OP is asking, and proof that such rare drops are no incentive as all as Aetherpath is pretty much dead content.

This is one of the most frustrating bugs I’ve put up with in this game.

I never said there is hard content. But, of course, some is easier than others.

Honestly, better iron than anything else. I believe iron is the most abundant material you can harvest – even better than mithril – but someone correct me if Im wrong.

I spent the day running the rich iron veins – so did the many I saw doing the same (often 5+ people mining veins at once). As prices spike, it becomes a worthy profit and people farm such things.

It’s not the same. He wants to experience a certain area of the game. If he’s willing to pay the price, there is no reason for a player to be denied access to current content.

@OP, if this is entirely for functionality, do bear in mind the ship is actually better and more convenient that the royal terrace is. The royal terrace is broken, and misses things such a Black Lion Weapon Specialist and Activity NPC.

Yes it did, there is 1 portal which, when used, gives an option to teleport to cities.

It won’t be everything it promises.

We were promised the ultimate convenience with the Royal Terrace Pass (which wasn’t even true when it was released as a LOT of things were missing, and it was downright inconvenient if anything).

All of a sudden, the Airship is superior to the Royal Terrace as it has more things there.

Expect the same in the future, the Airship to become second to some bullcrap like Evon’s Private Mansion pass.

Fact is, it’s never going to happen, at least not permanent, non-LS dungeons. Months ago the Dungeon team was fired or forced to work on Living Story stuff.

I didn’t say it was a good idea. I said if you want to give some healing support to your team, i rather like you to have heal shout than banner Regen. Meta Build with knight gear is better, but some people want to support the team. At least a Shout Heal warrior with 30pts in tactics and empower allies with everything else for DPS wouldn’t be a bad build. It would be a good one since you have plenty survivability with the basic warrior, but hell i think its a good compromise between his build and the meta.

If people want to support the team, do so through offensive boons and effects. Empowering Allies, dropping 2 Banners, Might/Fury from FGJ. A pathetic heal wasting 30 trait points is NOT support.

Not that I’ll be playing this then, too many poor content updates to keep me interested when things such as Wildstar are released.

I assumed this much. Hard core grinders will only be happy with it for a limited time, then move on to the next dopamine fix they can find.

Pretty much the only thing I like in this game are dungeons. Sadly, the game has no dungeon team (as they were fired or moved to living story developers) and there’s only so many times I can run these current dungeons without tiring of them and wanting something fresh.

Living Story is vaguely interesting, but 2-3 hours of simple, basic content bi-weekly (if that) is not enough to keep me playing. It’s something I’d do alongside WS when it’s released.

Any other updates do not interest me as they are not aimed at my type of gaming style.

For PvP, the Meta is Fresh Air scepter with 30 in Air and 20 in Arcana for Elemental Attunement and Renewing Stamina. The Offhand and heal are up to personal preference, and the utilities are your choice of Cantrips and Arcane skills. rolling a Warrior or Necro.

Game; an activity that one engages in for amusement.

Just do what you do for fun, mang, you will enjoy getting your Legendary rather than spending a few months grinding, bored, wasting your leisure time for a pixel item which obtaining has made you not want to play the game anymore.

The best thing to do if you are trying to make gold is investments. This requires a minimal time sacrifice. Over months, you can make hundreds of gold from just a few minutes of purchasing items. This means you can actually play the game the way you enjoy.

This is why they shouldn’t bring it back. It already has a enough people and the area is so small that putting the pass on sale again will just just ruin it. Instead what they should do is release VIP passes for different cities. Spread it out so it doesn’t turn into the new Lions Arch and becoming this laggy cluster kitten. They have other cities they could do VIP areas in and personally I would buy another one if they made one in Rata Sum.

While I understand the desire for some players to feel exclusive, and stand out because of how long they have been playing the game, a “VIP” zone is not the method to do this. Player A should not be able to access an area of the game, still existing, that Player B cannot, just because Player A has been playing longer.

Players can “show off” or feel “exclusive” in terms of playtime via item skins – either through Gem store or achievements – or titles.

While I have no problems with such areas being available, they must return to the gem store periodically, even if just on sale for 1 day every 2 months. Again, areas that are permanently exclusive should not exist.

If exclusive areas had to exist, which I maintain they shouldn’t, they should be areas accessible only by players who support the Gem store by purchasing gems with real money, and not someone who happened to be playing on the sale of an access card with 100g floating around. If a real-money only item was implemented, it would need to remain forever so anybody who wants it would be able to purchase it. Of course, this opens up a whole can of worms of potential P2W, but in terms of the Royal Terrace it is not.

This is getting a little offtopic, but I would like to reiterate that exclusive zones for only those who use real money is an atrocious idea, but the most acceptable way an exclusive zone should exist, and absolutely NOT for those who happened to play on a certain day. I would like to see more “rewards” or recognition for those who actively support the Gem store with real funding (although I am no longer one of these people).

There’s one good reason I am confident the zone is returning other than it will be a giant cash injection for NCsoft to spend on GW2/Other games they publish. Halls of Monuments is not exclusive to accounts tied to GW1 accounts.

In summary, these are the current ways players can feel exclusive:

• Limited-edition skins – through achievements or Gem store.
• Titles – usually linked to temporary achievements.
• Mini-pets – often obtained through the Gem store.
• Small benefits to a player’s home instance (Quartz node, Sprocket node, Candy corn node) Note that I am heavily against this.

Exclusive areas need to be kept out this list.

Split tags have been suggested a lot. And while I agree it’s silly how someone with 0 experience in WvW can be a leader, servers learn very fast not to follow bad players.

But a WvW rank really doesn’t mean anything. I could get to rank 100, rank 200, rank 500 by just spamming Staff #1 on my Guardian mindless in a Zerg and knowing little to nothing about siege placements, defense tactics, stacking and priorities.
