How about something like;
Ascended Armour/Weapon chest, 30 pristine relics + 500 normal relics.
Ascended weapons/armor are an excellent and much needed gold sink. It’d be crippling and several steps back for the economy to really provide ways to get them through a different currency other than gold.
All Ascended rings are now salvageable and will return a chance of x amount … t7 materials.

It doesn’t even need a reason.
It sold like hot cakes when it came out. The terrace is still packed to this day.
It’ll absolutely come back, it’s just free money for AN.
Nope nope nope and nope. Especially as you mentioned RNG and chance.
Servers learn quickly and don’t follow junk commanders very long.
Been theorised for many weeks now. Nothing new here.
Also, too “obvious” to be the case, especially as an AN dev (I can’t source this) have said only a few people have actually “guessed” correctly from what they’ve read.
Trying to get more damage on my tank build … I’m wondering if the discipline line and higher crits would out damage the total damage increase of the strength line. Thanks in advance and feel free to include and handy traits or combos not mentioned above.
Quick answer; Strength is better.
Better answer; Change the Berserker to Knights, and run the Meta build (30/25/0/0/15) or the “1 Warrior group” build (30/10/0/20/10) and using Berserker (picking up 20 into Tactics for Empowered Allies gives you 200 Vitality along with it, which should be all the extra “tankiness” you need).
Run 2 warriors in a party then you don’t have to ask.
Pug warriors always drop
StrengthDefense for some reason so Discipline is still the better choice. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pug warrior drop Discipline unless I specifically asked him to.
Fixed that for you.

Thanks guys
I hope I made sense.
There have been a series of DDoS attacks on the supplier (I’m unsure of the company name) that a variety of MMOs – including GW2 – use to host their servers. I’m putting all the recent game lag down to this.
Someones got a new toy to play with, so they are.
Once per tier, not level.
As above, level 1-10 will reward a Pristine relic if you do any in that range, including 1 & 10, but doing another will not. But if you do level 11 in the same day, it will give you another relic as level 11 is the next tier.
Do note, that if your personal level is 5, you can’t do level 5 for a Pristine relic then level 15 for another relic. You only qualify for the lowest tier.
It’s a lot more difficult to explain than I thought …
30/25/0/0/15 means the first number (30) is your top trait tree, and the last number (15) is your bottom trait tree.
For a Warrior this is Strength/Arms/Defense/Tactics/Discipline.
So your trait screen will look like the attachment.
No it doesn’t. Look at CDs.
What good is a warrior going to do in a pug?
- Personal might stacking > group might stacking in all cases, even if that might is going to bads. An engineer or ele stacks just as much might on everyone as the ele does on himself and also give other buffs.
Knowing Guang, the renowned hater of Warrior, he was meant to type <
Why on earth would you want to boost DPS of your crappy Bearbows/Cleric Guardians/GS Mesmers than pump out your own personal DPS to carry.
But that said, it’s better to just kick the bads and find players who play at a good level for PUGs.
Honestly, Minstrel is fine how it is. What is it with people and visual effects covering their screen?
Well hopefully we’ll kill Scarlet.
They’ve already told us that Scarlet dies.
Whether or not thats us that kills her, who knows. Or maybe it’s the death of “Scarlet” as Ceara regains control.
The meta build with some knight armor would be even better, again if you need some survivability.
Exactly, now throw out what you said about using heal shouts for survival because it just isn’t a good idea.
This is my build for my personal favorite weapon combo Axe/Shield + Greatsword. The last two traits in Strength are interchangeable depending on your preference for extra GS or Axe power.
I won’t harp on about your useless rune setup, but why would you sacrifice 10% damage (to bleeding foes, which you can safely assume is 100%) for Sharpened Axes? #3 is borderline useless, and Cyclone is off CD with Greatsword in the rotation.
Let’s seek an Exotic Aquabreather before we start chirping on about an Ascended one please. Hell, even rare one with decent stats’d be nice.
There has to be a number where they say “enough is enough, and this is your limit”.
If they didn’t say that, why stop at 8? Why not 9 player parties? Or 10? Or 15? or 25? Or even 50? Why not an entire server running COF P1 together?
Its only worst than reposte for blocking ranged attacks. Shield is Much superior to blocking melee attacks. In rare instances you need to block anything that you cannot dodge in PVE. In PVP shield block will save your life.
I did specify I was talking PvE only.
Melee attacks you can just turn away from with the sword, no problem. No reason to use a shield in PvE.
Sadly it’s the only “endgame” that gets attention. Even if it is limited.
The only content I care about right now is dungeons – WvW is just uninteresting to me.
Just waiting for next MMO arrivals and I’m jumping on the bandwagon out of Tyria.
Desolation, from early morning to late evening, every two hours
Deso is just 1 big overflow battle though.
Which servers have a “dedicated” time that they do tequatl, with a good success rate, and what time is this?
Needing meself some Karma.
Absolutely Engineer.

Why are you looking forward to new Legendaries? They’re just going to get them wrong again where you can buy/sell half the materials to make the things.
Just more useless jargon to ruin the environment unless every single component is account bound.
What I’m waiting to see on Guild Wars 2 is a guildie announcing a WildStar release date before I find out myself.
You do realize Wild Star is a Guild Wars 2 clone with WoW Clone Formulaic aesthetics right?
Yes yes, we all know all MMOs clone one another and every FPS is a Call of Duty or Battlefield clone. Zzzzzz.
If you think the manual dodging makes it a GW2 clone, you’re severely mistaken. Even if it was, I enjoy the GW2 playstyle. It’s the lack of entertaining content that will drive me from this game – I can only run the same dungeons every day for a certain time before I’m done.
Pay attention to the new warning circles from Marionette, vs Wild Star big boss warning circles. I guess wurm circles work too. Same game, same team.
It isn’t the same team at all, just the same publisher. Telegraphs are in all games, and they’re often red to signify “BAD”. I don’t know how you can claim a red telegraph is a GW2 breakthrough, unless this is the first game you’ve played.
But this isn’t a GW2 v WS thread.
Be sure to bring a ton of warriors with warbanrz!
I dont see the problem.
You don’t want to bring signet of undeath, you can’t complain about warbanners.
We’re also waiting for things promised that affect everybody, rather than only those who play the least used profession.
Not that I’m denying this needs seeing to, there are just more pressing issues.
“skin”
/15chars.
To elaborate on the second question, Twilight & Sunrise both do give credit towards Legendary Collector. You probably read somewhere they don’t because they never used to – but this was fixed.
Sigil works the same, you can just override any sigil with whatever sigil you want.
Take a look at Tengu again.
Notice how they act just like Charrs? Yeah don’t expect anything soon. It’ll be an expansion at best.
They’ll be a playable Race when the “threat” is Primordus.
GW2 has always been aimed at those who want to play MMOs, but don’t have the time to say “I WILL be available at 7 o’clock Wednesday for 3 hours” to their friends/guild. While there are some of those players here, they are the desperate minority (I apply here), because most players of this “type” are playing MMOs aimed at them.
Sadly, locking BIS behind “heroic” dungeon content (forgive the WoWness – I didn’t know how else to coin it) would destroy the playerbase the game is actually aimed at.
Although this is how (new) Legendary weapons should be obtained, rather than being 90% of the materials off the TP (or just straight up buy the weapon if you don’t mind a hefty “fee” for someone elses Karma/100%). But this is ArenaNet, I doubt it’ll happen and the new Legendaries are just going to be exactly the same but requiring different lodestones/precursors.
#Deaddpsisnodps.
Stop being such a drain and actually do your share of the teams DPS.
We really shouldn’t bother entertaining these threads, other than posting
If we are dictating how people should play, then I say we make it mandatory that everyone be running meta.

there are many, it depends on what you want
Probably more on WvW and a bit of PvE
Then 2 different builds – you don’t want to try to find a build that’s “good” for multiple gamemodes, because it won’t be good. Either you go in a PvE spec and be good in PvE, but hinder yourself in WvW, or vice versa. Alternatively, you respec every time – it’s very cheap to do so.
While I can’t suggest a build for WvW, a PvE build would look like this. Sadly, Shield is an objectively worse offhand in 99% of situations, as the block is worse than Riposte on the Sword, with the Mace offering a better knockdown in addition to vulnerability stacks. Not to mention, both sword/mace would get 5% damage from dual wielding trait. Point is, shield isn’t very good in PvE but perfectly useable if you want to use it from a cosmetic purpose and avoid speed groups.

Absolutely. While the ship has sailed on living story, there is more than enough content existing (dungeons, WvW, exploration) to make the game enjoyable, even if you barely partake in them and only experience them once.
Problem is, nobody really bothers to wear exotic jewelery. Ascended basic ones are easy to obtain, rest can be bought quickly from karma vendors in Orr. Apart from having cool named itemas that nobody can see, it’s practical waste of money.
I beg to differ, the Plagues I craft sell like hot cakes.
Casual photobombing.
2. Lots of conditions on skills.
Look at the Grenade and Bomb Kit, skills 2-5 offer some sort of unique condition. There is a reason why it’s the spamgineer, no matter what you use, you stack a bunch of conditions and apply a lot of damage by facerolling.
This applies to most classes. It feels like more because of the traits, mostly Incendiary Powder/Whatever the bleed on crit one is called. They’re “coverup” conditions mostly (fingers crossed the short freeze or 5stacks vuln is cleansed before burning/bleeding) and require trait investments.
3. High healing on a low recharge with a get out of damage free card.
I do not mind the healing turret bursting heal with 0 healing power, but the block everything button on Tool Kit has to end.
I suppose we need to remove a Warrior’s Shield #5, a Guardian’s Renewed Justice, a Mesmer’s Distortion and a Ranger’s Signet of Stone then?
4. Grenades scale way to well with power!
Grenades have a lot of conditions and a lot of damage, pick one or the other ArenaNet. Both is simply not acceptable.
They do both, but don’t do both well without adequete investments. The power is low if traited into conditions and vice versa.
Engineers HAVE to take Grenades, they HAVE to take the Tool Kit, traits do not allow variety.
This is true, needs a change.
In my opinion, the first step to balancing engineer is hands down getting rid of Static Discharge.
Only power builds use it – there are always core traits in every build. For example, Cleansing Ire for a Warrior, Illusionary Persona for a Shatter Mesmer.
All in all, Engineers are in a very good place and border the edge of balanced. All their benefits come at a big cost, namely lack of stability/stunbreaks and condition removal. These sacrifices make the Engineer fairly balanced right now.
An extremely generic cut and paste build.
Boss skips, however, are something that should be dealt with. Very few bosses are skippable, but the ones that are (Kholer [AC], Hunting Hound [CM P2], Bridge event [COF P1], Jaddeor Icefist [HOTW P2] just to name a few) shouldn’t be. I’d even argue that some Champions in dungeons (such as the Champion Dredge on the SE P1 Bridge, or the Icebrood Wolf at the start of COE) should be bosses and therefore mandatory.
If they wanted to force you to do bosses they can just have a door refuse to open if you haven’t done so.
By the way, it has officially been stated that Kholer is optional. Just like the troll in the same dungeon.
I know that some bosses are meant to be optional, but they shouldn’t be optional – why have them otherwise? It’s a boss, deliberate mechanics designed just for that fight and they get skipped.
There are plenty of skills.
Some of them are just bad, though.
Fixed, I misread the OP,
However, Flis, at least I tried answering and being helpful, instead of just meaninglessly pointing out that I made a mistake?
I can’t answer the OP, as I don’t know
’sup, simple request.
If you have both Bolt & FSP, I’d like to see a screenshot of it with weapons drawn.
Thanks.
You have to transmute the appearance of the ascended onto account bound white item to be able to transfer them, then use a splitter on the new character (as everything will be soul bound after the split)
Thus, if you have transmuted other skins onto your ascended, you have to use a splitter for each one, then go about your transmutations,
- You will need 12 transmutation splitters and 12 transmutation crystals, so 3,300 gems + 560 gems
- This is either $50 or 350g to take your 6 pieces of ascended armour to a new character if you already have the transmutation crystals.
- Weapons will be an additional 800 gems or 73g if you want to transfer them too and have applied skins over them.
It is cheaper to make another weapon completely for your new character, I think they are around 40-60g to craft?
I am not sure on the price for an armour set, however I believe it is close to 300g if not more, you will have to check here.
It might just be cheeper to re-make the entire lot and your old warrior will retain its set and be useable at any time, but you will need to farm emp/dragonite/bloodstone etc again if you don’t have any stored up.
You clearly didn’t read the OP.
Play for fun, that way you’ll actually want to consider finishing your Twilight rather than get bored 1k gold in as you attempted to force yourself through the grind.
I purely play for fun, with a few exceptions when friends/guild need help, and I have … well that would be showing off … I’ll just say more than the average joe.
Map completion is the most difficult, and I think I would value alone at 300g.
I wish to God I could sell some of the 10 Gifts of Exploration I have sitting in my bank for 300 gold apiece.
Really? You could probably make 600g using only “layman” money making methods in the time it’ll take to get 100% map completion. Granted if you had 10 you did it for fun, and it’d make sense to bung some off for 300g ^^
ya I mean look at the thousands of playing hours people have. Many people have 2000 playing hours. Do they have 2000 × 5 = 10,000 gold? no.
I dont’ think everyone play this game to farm gold.
Granted if you had 10 you did it for fun, and it’d make sense to bung some off for 300g ^^
Also I have no idea how you pulled 10k gold into this equation.
I think 1h weapons are already “better”, even with the sigil, because of the “versatility” of being able to swap your OH or swap your MH. With 2h, you’re stuck with the 5 weapon skills, with 1h you are not.
Vengeance is awful. Warriors have the worst downed state.
That is all
I’d argue Engineer are worse off.
But yeah, Warrior downstate sucks.
Ok, thank you!!!
12 tramutations crystals is pricy
Indeed, but if you think a GW2 is a game where the progression is based on cosmetics, it’s actually cheap.
you can get 3 Trans stones (used when one or both items are level 79 or below) for every city (racial or Lion’s Arch) that you completely explore. Personally, I find Rata Sum fairly easy to finish exploring.
No use, the Order sets are level 80 so need Fine Transmutation Stones, and then obvious reskinning onto 80s is going to require the Fine stones too.
Trash is meant to be skipped. That’s why it’s coined trash. It’s boring, unrewarding and unchallenging, therefore no reason to do it. Which is also why people stack on trash that needs to be killed, to make it quicker so you don’t get bored before the dungeon is finished.
Stacking is a mechanic, deal with it. The enemies group up, but so do the players. Risk/Reward.
