I’m pretty sure theres more to come for the hunt.
So beacause there are a few threads complaining about FOM, it obviously means that the majority of players dislike it? Most of the threads are to complain about the bugs and issues inside, not the content itself. You should also realise that people who don’t like the content are more likely than those who do, it’s easier to complain than praise.
Was doing a fractal with a party, we finished the one with the grawl in it, and entered one with dredge where the announcer guy told us to find higher ground. A few seconds in, my entire party was sent to Lions Arch for no apparant reason.
In this dungeon, for the grawl shaman he can knock you backwards and into the lava behind him which results in an instant death. I was knocked off the platform and on my screen it displayed me on the cliff where I could be picked up, however it seems in the game I am still stuck in the lava unable to be ressurected, and the worst part is, there are no waypoints.
Higher difficulty = Higher reward btw.
I think all of this is a little blown out of proportion, having 400+ hours on my ranger I can honestly say even if I’m disadvantaged numberwise, I can still hold my own.
I feel like there is some intense wordplay going on in your name, Wrythe makes me think Writhe, but Orynn I have no idea of it it is there. 9/10
My human mesmer is Lillian Laeln.
700/2800 = ~4 kills per badge. So still alot better then my 30 kills for 0 badges. Guess I will give the puzzle a try.
Actually no, alot lower. I’m going to assume that 100 or my badges are from towers/supply camps and with 50 jump puzzle runs 300 or so badges. In actuality, you should be going 300/2800, which is more like 1/9. You could just be getting unlucky in all honesty.
I only have managed 700 badges with 2800 kills on record, as well as hundreds of kills of tower/camp/keep/castle lords and at least 50 jump puzzle runs, the badges aren’t too frequent
Auri Snowsong, a warrior who dances through combat rather than brute forcing it.
@Ulviden, I like it, has the V and K sounds you would expect, nice bit of cacaphony there.
What a brilliant post! I could not agree more.
My main digest of fiction is the fantasy genre. I am 48 years old and have read an awful lots of it over the years. Your opening paragraphs share my thoughts exactly. Why could I not be Quothe, flawed and a bit an idiot?
Well written sir, I tip my hat
/me tipping hat
You mean Kvothe, sir?
A game where you expect to win a 10v30…
Rangers don’t actually have much micromanaging to do, you really just need to use those F2 skills when you need them.
@florgknight So does my ranger, if not higher. I forget. But that is at max range. As soon as that distance is covered, which takes 2secs for any decently built toon, the game is over. Not to mention, walking back and forth will dodge everyone of my auto-attack arrows without exception at max range.
My guardian and ele have never once lost to a ranger in a 1v1, or even come close to losing. I’ve lost to every class at least once before, but never a ranger. They die easily, and their damage is mediocre.
Odd, because for me it’s vice versa, I’ve never lost 1v1 against a mesmer or guardian.
Longbow range was higher than 1200? What!?
My ranger hits 2.5k with max range longbow crits…
Have you seen how much damage the Longbow’s 2 skill can do with a precision/crit damage build?
Still win 1v1 fights in wvw. Rangers aren’t bad at all.
when playing my mesmer, does this make me a terrible person?
Nine devils sounds more like a title than a name, but it is intimidating 7/10.
Florgus Windshroud, ranger.
With prices of T6 mats going back up does anyone else feel temped to just give up on their legendaries and sell what they saved up to get an exotic with nice skin instead?
You know, you might be onto something… I just dunno what I’d do after that. Probably stop playing as getting the Dreamer is my only goal left to achieve. And the road to getting that is getting further and further away from my reach… And it’s not really fun… (seriously, playing Wall Street Simulator 2012 to get to my legendary is BORING )
That’s what I thought, I have around 300-400 hours logged in and seeing these huge increases of prices, making the 300 gold for my precurser along with the 100 runestones simply seems impossible. The only problem I have now is that most of the current exotic mystic forge shortbow skins aren’t very enticing as of yet.
With only three days to play, will those who are referred have upward level scaling or will they have to rush to an approrpiate level? Considering where lost shores is located I doubt anyone will be showing up as a level 1.
The weekend event will allow players of all levels to participate by level-adjusting them up to level 80 for the event specifically. Same goes for the new dungeon and the new PvP map (since PvP always does that!)
The idea is you should be able to bring your friends for the weekend and let them see any of the new stuff with you during their trial if they want to check it out!
Well, does that mean players will not have to cross through the mid-higher leveled zones to access Lost Shores, meaning it’s connected to Lion’s Arch then?

It’s pretty amusing, listening to Logan yell, SCATTER! FIREBALL INCOMING and be the only one standing in the red circle still or when the fireball is obstructed by a cave roof and still have him warn about it. Anyone else think so?
For colors on armor, I use a deep green and a brown shade which blends really well and I think adds to the whole ranger theme. The brown is the main color, while the green remains an outline.
Not a very concerning issue, but it gets annoying sometimes. When you click on an image or link in a thread you are on opened without a new tab and then press back afterwards, it won’t let you go back past the thread you were on.
I’m probably being unclear so example: I open X thread and theres an image there. I open that image in the same tab, I’m done looking at the image and press back. Pressing back again will not do anything afterwards, I’ll be stuck on that thread without being able to go to that specific forum.
Sword, greatsword, shortbow, warhorn and longbow. Switching to GS and Warhorn is great for moving around and sword+shortbow is great for dealing with fights.
Why not just swap to sword/greatsword, they can’t dodge rll while daggerstorming.
Whisky ain’t free.
Florgus Windshroud is what I use. Has a nice dramatic feel without being too predictable.
You can do it, but it’ll add the suffix from the rune to the armor’s name. i.e. if you put a rune of rage into Shiro’s Coat, it’ll turn into Shiro’s Coat of Rage.
I'd love to run Arah... so could we please make the events less frustrating?

Because, the strategy is to defend every corner of the every, not just the front, they can sneak in behind you. All you have to do is get two responbile people to cover the two corners.
Oh yeah, in CoF, near the final boss for story mode if you go the wrong way and enter the water, or if you go in the water around the boss you’ll find an amassment of champion sharks.
Role Playing game bro.
November 15th :c 8 hours of afternoon classes that day.
The chaos when it exploded as nice.
Hide mask option is best mask!
Quaggan likes you!
Really? I’ve had no problems with my ranger’s pets in fights. They just go autoattack and do their thing really. My lynx gets like 3-4 auto attacks even on the move every 10 seconds or so
Actually, in WvW I had a 1v1 fight against a mesmer that involved skill mashing and doding like crazy for over 4 minutes. Quite fun and close.
I’m using the Shiro’s exotic set in this sceenshot http://imgur.com/Hm0au
Because I am the hawks.
NPC love!? +1. I love me some NPCs.
Easy. Go to WvW and you’re done in 10 minutes.
One thing that I think would be interesting is that creatures that are summoned through spells such as the Charr’s warband support, the thief’s thieves guild, hounds of balthazar etc; is that they should be able to pick you up when you go down. Now, I’m not implying that all of them should be able to as necromancers would have a clear advantage in any situation, but elite abilities that summon creatures would be more viable if they could revive you. It would also make sense and add variety to the combat mechanics rather than simply having meatshields that do tiny damage and instead have a small force that works together to help eachother out.
So when your projectile doesn’t hit them, you still deserve damage?
Maybe you can give some ranger tips against thieves instead of saying L2P?
Dodge rolling and control (Chill, immobilize, cripple) work wonders against them. You have to remember that they don’t run on cooldowns but initiative. Once they blow their skills with initative they’re good as worthless. If you see a thief using something like quickness, dodge roll and stun. The key is to know when to use them. Playing the other classes will show you their weakpoints if you don’t know.
