No worries, they’ll make the cds a little lower because you’re going get interrupted by still the onslaught of cc’s the enemies throw out and the insane amount of conditions. Notice nothing in the changes say they are lowering the amount of aoe dps/cc every class spits out except thieves?
They seriously do not give 2 kittens about warrior class. Just stick to pve and reroll to something in pvp. Warriors burnzerk got nerfed so your only role in pve is just to be banner kitten and might giver. I just wish A-Net can just let the community know how much they hate the class so we can all just abandon it.

These buffs remind of the buffs we got when they made the ‘kick’ do 2x more damage. Seriously, they are buffing things we don’t need and still leaving all the physical+rage utilities in the dust. We’re forced doing stances/signets only again, what a surprise. Zero team utility in team fights means we’re staying out of the meta once again. Zero counters against boon spammers. Protection boon > warriors since the dawn of time.

Want to win? Reroll, time to ditch warriors, I wish I was sarcastic but…

You have no idea man. If you tried to autoattack each other with axe on a stationary hammer scrapper, you lost everytime. That extra little bit of health shouldn’t equate to you having zero sustain compared to every other class. Forget the boons on the engineer, without it you’ll still lose.
If they want warrior to be competitive, they need to give boon hate on it. Tactic GM trait, on burst always remove stability on hit + 1 extra boon per adrenaline. Each boon removed stuns ppl for 1s. Only boon counter in this game is necro/rev. They really did just give everything warrior ever needed to rev and called it a day.

People keep forgetting… Get blinded mid burst skill → Miss → unable to regain hard earned adrenaline, unable to the insane amounts of condi applications from every other class → dead. Seriously, warriors should be king of 1v1 since they offer nothing in team fights, no boons, no condi removal and stuck playing melee hell taking every aoe people spam endlessly and no boon removal/hate.
Warrior at this point is dead weight.

Got to halfway in ruby→diamond with like 99% warrior solo Q only (closer like 99% of the games) then just stopped caring. Its got hard since I never communicate what I’m doing which is +1 bunker buster all game and if MMR decides to dump more thieves/warriors and zero teamsupport classes I don’t tell others to swap classes either.
The right composition matters alot, if everyone is glass against bunkers you’re not gonna have a good time since party wide boon spam is a huge plus.
Yes I ran into a ton of MMR abusers like 1/3 of the games but winrate with war was around 60%~. Swapped to another class it was closer to 70-75% winrates. I tried.

My diamond was half warrior, half necromancer approximately. Honestly, I do not run berzerker at all. It does not fit into my playstyle as I prefer random bursts. Charging up 30 adren for the burst form is cool, but then I have to give up one of the 3 trait lines. The bar below is my spec. Gs/ A Sh. Marauder with Durability runes. Strength, Discipline, Defense.

I will start streaming again in legendary.

Against dual mesmers I run necro and against dual ele I run warrior.

The funniest part is that despite that each players have spells out the wazzo, the only game mode where its the easiest for casters to go play by plays is WvW. You got one main force and smaller ones, its like football where you’re not looking at just once player but a bunch of players moving cohesively in formations.

^^. I would of used that prize money on hiring more folks to work on something that GW2 has over other mmo which is combat fluidity and make PvP fun/balanced and large scale PvP fights in WvW.

lol, have you had a look at our shouts? They are no better, its pretty much the sole reason why almost every single war runs nothing but signets + stances. Best part about em is that unlike every single other class, warrior’s utilities save for FGJ/banners actually benefit group play. This is why no one likes warrior, not only the most selfish class but also their utilities are a joke.
Only reason why I like warrior is just how salty ppl get when they get destroyed by one 1v1 on a point.

Bump. Yes sPvP population is low, but telling everyone either to team queue or lose is NOT how it should work.
A lot of people are good only in 1-2 professions and it defines them, getting dumped into a game where 3 of the players are the same profession vs a well composited team shouldn’t be punishment.

According to the recent Dev thread. Season 2 will rank groups by highest division. Meaning if one Diamond queues up with four Ambers. They’ll be facing five Diamonds.

Considering how groups are already weighed in with the current system. I don’t see how the solo queue experience needs additional rewards for queue’ing up as an individual.

Not added rewards…. Protection. Solo Q needs to not be matched against premades. It’s common sense and used to be in game.

Protection. I’m saying that people shouldn’t just lose pips left and right because premades are going to most of the time stomp all over your randoms. Also wins against premades when solo Q’ing should provide additional pips because they were at a severe disadvantage. Solo Qers shouldn’t get shafted because they can’t be bothered to seperate the two leagues. Every game does it for good reason, why A-Net hasn’t is beyond me.

A-Net seems to have literally forgotten about how solo q’ers are left in the dust. Until you separate solo and team queues ranking games, you need to give solo q’ers some incentives to play otherwise you’re forcing people to group up or lose.
Pip gains/loss is the real reward, either make it so solo q’ers gain additional pips on wins or no loss on pips when they get 300 points in a game.

This issue has been bought up so many times I have no idea how A-Net literally mentioned absolutely nothing about it in their changes.

Keep this thread alive till at least A-Net even bothers to acknowledge it.

So your telling me people who solo q are still getting screwed over? Why not add a perk where solo q’ers get additional pips on wins. Solo q’ers are playing at a disadvantage due to unrealiable match making, so we deserve at least an incentive at the very least.

I can tell you 99% of the folks don’t care about rank, they only care about the backpiece. Reason they need to move up in rank is to get the rank cross achievement needed and tickets. Lower the requirements for the achievements as you’ve now made it harder to move up in ranks.

Last game I played on warrior, their eles were bursted down so fast it was insane. Nothing quite like a necro stripping protection and gunflaming an ele in the face for 9k over and over. Sorry, maybe they just need to make thieves and warrior a little more viable again. Those two classes are very power based eccentric classes. DS doesn’t need a nerf, just thief and warrior needs some buffs.

that_shaman left out an upcoming legendary amulet for PvPers. I assume he didn’t want to spoil it for the community, but I took a screenshot of it. Think his one has an aura where water drip from the eyes.

Probably for the PvP folks who are upset that MMR abusers duo/team queuing with ambers are going unpunished and also upset this bunker meta.

Look at all those top player awards. Lolll. And way to be a good person with the abuse in map chat at end of Match. I find the best players to be more well represented and not soo. Errr boastful? Lol idk.

I’m sorry for the map chat abuse at the end. Unfortunately every opponent already left the game when i typed it, they really deserved it cuz was a really tense match with opponent team bunkering everything with necro/druid/and 2 chrono.
Was because i accumulated so much frustrating playing warrior during my ruby league, with all the teammates blaming my warrior every begin of the match, blaming me every time we lose, and not even saying me gg when we win but only thinking “i’m so pro i won with a warrior in team, i must have carry him”.

For people wondering the rune, i wont post my build till i’m legend division. But if you ask me if this build is reliable like those easy meta builds, i can only tell you that to win with this, you have to outplay, time your burst and watch very carefull every movement you do and be quick on chose the right target.

Btw as a suggestion, i went a vitality rune cuz of the condi spam that we have and, considering warrior condi cleanse mechanics are not reliable or not updated to the june condi patch, i tought to compensate it with an high vitality.
Wich is working a little to give me the time to run out of the fight for a few seconds if the situation become not manageable.
Still able to one shot most of the opponents below the 50% hp tough. My best targets are revenant, scrapper and off course thief. Necro are the highest priority, i have 10 seconds to burst them till my berserker stance run out. Also druid are good targets for this build.

Everyone is playing META, yet you don’t see me bad mouthing others for doing it when I’m on warrior. If you didn’t run your mouth on others for just playing the game you wouldn’t get as much flak.

PS. About the condi cleanse, I found a surprisingly good combo that no one else have thought of yet, not going to let my little secret out as it lets me run w/e build/traits I want.

Does it seem like slow makes your skills take twice as long especially a stomp vs a quickness only makes it 50% faster. Last time I tried to spike a rev it took I believe 6s+ compared to 3s or something like that.

All the folks are off work, and no balance, nothing will change until late Jan as stated. You are wasting your breath, which is incredibly saddening since this is when most of the players get free time to play. What an absolute mess A-Net left and such bad timing.

It’s not that they don’t want to fix it, its that anyone at A-Net who walked into the forums or in-game in PvP are showered with incredibly negative criticism won’t want to touch that with a 5 feet pole. I haven’t seen a single positive thing in PvP and for a very good reasons. If I were an employee at A-Net I’ll take a few extra sick days.

PS. For all the folks worried about A-Net saying they will punish MMR abusers, rest assured nothing will happen to you I guarantee it because everyone is doing it. They messed up hard and no one will get punished. A-Net will just sweep it under the rug and hope people forget.

That’s nothing the other day on the very edge of the map I saw a warrior, thought he was far enough from me, nope that bull charge came flying right towards from all the way across the map. I tried to run, it kept chasing, I jumped on a high rock and it still came hurling like a boulder. After 4 minutes of endlessly chasing me down on my clearly underpowered Ele/Herald/Mesmer/Scrapper/Reaper/Druid class it instant gibbed me with 100 blades from 100% health. I don’t what I was supposed to do, I tried to log out before he managed to get me but as I logged back in, only thing left was the big fat your team loss and my dead character on the floor. What am I supposed to do? Nerf warrior please A-Net, and while your at it buff the other aforementioned classes please.

They just need to tweak a few things and redo almost all the physical + rage skills to have more stunbreaks. Most importantly srsly, warrior needs more boon hate + fast hands should be pretty much default on warriors.

As frustrated as you are, you need to realize that almost all the staff is ON VACATION. Nothing will happen until they come back mid, yes MID January to even bother to start looking at it. The only thing to really blame is A-Net choosing to release leagues when they were all on vacation instead of even trying to monitor the kitten thing.

Until you walk into a DH’s traps and get instant gibbed because you didn’t see him place it there cuz he left traps at home and ran off to mid. Or you know a single destealths you and their team blows you up. Or you get condi bombed because almost everyclass spams aoes. Or you try to 2v1 a bunker ele and get eated alive because your teammate can’t handle it.

Seriously it really depends on who you play with, if you play with a competant team the thief isn’t needed in the first place as a rev can +1 most fights spamming shiro shadowstep and do just as much damage if not more.

I’ve said this many times, A-Net policy for warrior is that no other class must suck as bad this. That is the line they put and everytime new players who don’t bother to dodge any of the warrior insanely big tells and cry OP, A-Net is quick to nerf warrior back down to the bottom of the barrel.

Bunker chrono problem

There is only so much outrage with this because Stronghold at the moment is disabled. Bunker chrono only real strength is holding points and currently the only game mode is conquest. A-Net doesn’t balance solely on one game mode and has to balance to the others as well.

Once stronghold is back people won’t be hating on the current META as much, unless your stuck playing conquest, then RIP.

Thief and Warrior has the least boons in the game.. and currently are the worst two classes to play. Make them both have hard boon counterplay built into all 2 of their traitlines. Like 7% more damage per boon on enemy, and ignore protection boon and blocks or even burst abilities removes boons based on adrenaline and stun 1s per boon removed (always strips stability).

You not only threw boons on passively on every trait or new elite spec wep, but also the new runes. Seriously why? The old runes in the game are completely irrelevant. You have runes that literally their special ability is to give aegis when using their elite on a LONG CD and you have rune of durability give protection/regen/resistance passively on a short CD. You kept the whole we don’t want to make older content obsolete mantra and you literally threw it out the window.

If for any reason one member cannot join the fractal, simply get the person who created the fractal instance to leave the fractal (fastest way is to simply log out), and anyone who cannot join can join. The instance starter can then rejoin the fractal though the prompt or gate.

They are all so kitten awful, but at the very least it falls in line with all our existing core ones besides stances.

A-Net do you know why people take stance? Because its literally your only abilities that give you any kind of survivability that they lack so completely. All rage+physical abilities needs to be immune to blind and unblockable. Also by default fast hands should be a given. Not a single player worth anything will tell you fast hands is the single most important trait for warrior.

I got about 18 lv80 toons, one for PvE one for WvW. The fact that I need to grind my brains out to unlock them, is going to end me. If it was something like account based not character based then I’d understand but this…. A-Net you certainly didn’t make it easy, and this isn’t complimenting the current system you got in place.

Why did no one mention how physical + rage utilities are still mostly useless.

Kick is most likely the most useless utility in the game for a heavily melee oriented class.
Bola misses if the enemy so much as side steps to the right/left.
Stomp roots you and can interrupt if you try to move before animation is finished and sends enemies flying to safety (away from you).
Rock smash roots you again and does kitten poor damage.
On my mark inflicts a measily 10 vulnerability stacks on a incredibly long CD…. and the list goes on and on.

Why does a melee oriented class get so outclass by necro/engineer/ele/ranger/guardian/reverant in every single way in utilities + weapon skillset is beyond me.

Warrior used to be able to time enemy dodges and then nail em as soon as they come out from a dodge, now they got a few seconds of stability to negate it completely. I don’t understand how warrior only got more options inflicting BURN and at the same time every class got even more ways to remove conditions at more regular intervals rendering berserker elite traitline useless.

Just look at any of the elite traitlines, they’ll chock full defensive abilities.

The rage abilities save for savage blow (the knockback one) and headbeat are useless. Shake it off already does what outrage does and rock smash is absolutely never worth taking. The problem you have with berserker is that all his abilities are ever more selfish and doesn’t benefit allies around him.

Warrior class already was a class where it fell too hard in team fights and berserker did nothing to alleviate it. I’ll not only even look into the new abilities but look at the current outdated abilities such as:

Shake it off – CD too long and only removes 1 condition, it needs to do more.
On my mark – This needs to reveal to prevent stealthing, stunbreaker + blind immunity.
Killshot – needs to be like Gun Flame where you can move while firing.
Power synergy – this grandmaster trait is 100% useless and should be a taunt instead.

In general warrior needs more taunt mechanics, but you gave it to reverant instead which makes absolutely no sense.

Yay! Raids needs to be more difficult.

I wonder if A-Net had a look at how so many of the classes from the top elite specs now spits out boons like there’s no tomorrow from anything, necro included. It’s way to easy to get 20+ might stacks without even trying and the only class that can strip em fast enough is necromancer and maybe mesmer only if traited around it.

There is seriously no counter play or ways to remove them. You cannot specifically remove 25 might stacks off someone because they got 4-5 other useless boons that will be stripped before it. Hell I don’t know why necro got the gain 2 might stacks when hitting someone below 50% hp. This is the reason why everyone is running the same same build across the board.

The only thing that annoys me of the current PvP is the pace.

Too fast. Too much spamming. Too many instant activation skills used in succession.

No time for turning things around, attrition battles or your allies to come back unless they have things like portals. We are having 1-3vs1-3 fights going as fast as only 1v5 fights should go.

At the very least some instant activation skills should have an aftercast to let people get their bearings. This is not a game played in a lan party. There’s going to be lag hits. 1-3 seconds fights should simply not happen. The pace should be at least 5-7s.

This is a terrible idea. We’ve had the sustain meta awhile ago and it was horrible. Everyone just playing bunker running in circles. 1-3 second fights only happens if you’re going full glass cannon fighting with another full glass and you made a huge mistake.

Please add some variety into the bosses rotations so the instances to be actually difficult or a hard mode version which adds new mechanics into the raids or you’ll turn raids into nothing more of a daily chore that is Tequalt or Evolved Wurm.

I want content genuinely difficult even for folks that can solo dungeons/Lupicus. Let the average folks be content with normal mode and others looking for an absolutely unreal challenge get rekt. There is nothing better than knowing your at the top of your game, know all the mechanics and still get smashed in the face.

Venom Wells

Did I mention that dodge rolling through wells will also negate 1 stack of venom since it’s a MISS. Misses on venoms also trigger it. But screw that, you haven’t bothered to rebut any of the points to why its not OP. It’s not the venom share that is the problem it’s people with kitten poor positioning standing on wells. Send your complaints to zerker glass cannon necros running sigil fire/air + wells.

Wells hit from 900 range, that’s not a positioning issue. And the problem is that if you get hit by an immobilization venom well, you’ll stay stuck there because it pulses (i.e., unless you can perfectly anticipate when and where the well will be placed and dodge roll through, you can’t dodge the subsequent pulses).

Also I gave a long explanation above for why immobilization venom wells are OP and I’m still waiting for a rebuttal, hint hint.

Dude I’m in T1 server. There isn’t anything I’ve haven’t seen before. I already gave a rebuttal twice, you’re super OP venom wells only hits 2 ppl out of 5 ONCE is a 2s immolobize that can easily be cleared too op? Also its’ a aoe ground target almost everyone spams dodge rolls and will inevitably trigger the immolobizing effect rendering it useless. You literally do not know how venoms from thieves work at all. Go to PvP with 7 ppl and drop your amazing super OP wells on 5 people moving through it and watch it only hit 2 (3 if traited) people ONCE. If you think “pulsing” means anything it just means your damage ticks you don’t magically immobolize 10 people yourself.
I’m seriously questioning whether or not you actually understand any of this, also what server are you on and tier because I can’t tell you how many of these low tier servers come thinking they’re top shots get just wreckted in T1 since most of the folks with half a brain come to T1 for more fights.

When it’s reapplied almost instantly it’s not fun and if you are a necro getting caught by venom immobilize you are pretty much dead.

The only thing that they can fix is making it possible to dodge roll during immobilization or make it back to how venoms were that it scaled off the condi duration of the person you are applying it to.

It’s not reapplied instantly unless you’re the only person standing on the well. If a thief gave it to a necro and the necro’s well hits 5 ppl. Only 2 (3 if traited) of the 5 gets affected ONCE. It’s not per pulse its per hit. If you can’t be kitten d to bring cond clear well then its your fault.
I don’t understand why people keep raving about how good it is when its clearly not. If it hits a warrior that’s properly geared for hammer trains in WvW it’ll stop him moving for a like 0.2 seconds and completely waste the thief’s venom share.

Yeah that’s one of their strengths while other classes that lack “easy” access to boons have their own strengths. Btw try using boons around a Mesmer or Necro and you’ll see them gone in a second and replaced with some nasty red stuff instead

My point exactly, mesmer/necro. What if I don’t play those classes? I’m not looking to abolish these strength, I’m suggesting counterplay on them, something which is just impossible at the moment due to how irregular boon strip is and limited. Also, you will notice that unless you get every single boon strip ability, stripping the 25 might stacks on someone is impossible because they always have multiple boons and the lesser effects are the ones which are removed (ele, engineer, warrior).

If every other class gets boon strips even close to the level of mesmers and necros, why would you run mesmers and necros? Furthermore, what is to stop necros and mesmers from saying, “they got the boon strip we have, why don’t we have the boon application they have?” Keeping boonstripping to just a few classes gives a unique reason to take those classes in a team.

You are misunderstanding what I’m saying. It’s not about stripping “all” boons, its about prioritizing which gets stripped. For example if an engineer has 25 might stacks, and 3 other boons, if you attempted to use “well of corruption” and the engineer stands on it for 3 seconds you will corrupt 3 of the 4. With how it presently works, might boons are almost always the last to get removed meaning that necro failed to remove the crucial one.

This is much like conditions, if someone inflicts 20 stacks of confusion and 1 stack of bleed and you use “shake it off”, you will remove that 1 stack of bleed instead of that 20 stack of confusion. The difference is huge is the reason why conditions is so kitten effective and broken.
