Legendary this time around is way to easy. I think all the good players quit or left to do other things like SAB. By the time I hit legendary I still needed I think 25 more wins in ranked to even complete the achievements needed to make my backpiece.

It’s the rev rites, I’ve had it happen alot before. Playing power warrior when there’s revs in the enemy team makes me cry with all their passive procs popping left and right. I had to just avoid team fights all together.

Yes thanks A-Net I love those airship bombs that 100%→1 hp my tank guardian. Sorry I’m not skilled enough to dodge those 1/4 second orange circles that deal 5k damage per shot that ignore block and hit me 7 times in 1s time and hit me at any point in SM. I had no idea airship bombardment can hit me though a castle wall.
While your at it why don’t you change lord champs to raid bosses that scales with players with instant wipe mechanics. Wait that sounds absolutely insane and idiotic? Well that’s what 99% of the community is telling you but your too r-kitten to figure it out.

Sorry its not just that one ability that is broken.
Sword 3 needs a nerf too. Not damage but ways for other classes to counter like anytime it gets blocked/blinded the ability will end early and staff 5 shouldn’t strip 5 stacks of stability and cc everyone into the ground.
Shield 5 shouldn’t give 3 seconds of block while healing so much, it needs to be a short 1-2s block.

Can rapid fire stop attacking when i blind/dodge/block it too? Or volley or in fact all channeled abilities ingame? They should also break on stealth. See how stupid it look? Tyvm.

Unrelenting assault is like Hundred blades with evades, with lock on target, with teleport. Would you like it if every warrior had this now?

UA doesnt hit nowhere as hard as HB. But even if you would give war a skill like that i wont care. Tell you why? Cause i have no issues dealing with it. You literally have no idea how hard you can punish a rev when he exists UA. On my warrior i just gunflame them in face for over half hp as example.

If you get hit by the entire HB, you either got set up real hard or are real bad. UA only weakness is groups and even then you’re still locked hard on a target while gaining might for each hit. Warriors needs to trait for might on GS and the might duration is way shorter and HB needs to be setup. UA is spam it off CD and force opponents to use both dodges or get destroyed while dodging everything.
Warriors get blinded from hell and back, you can blind gunflame as you’re exiting UA using herald then switch to block-city or cc-city with staff 5. No worries revs aren’t getting any nerfs because A-Net needs to sell more copies of HoT.

Anyone have issues when you either use sword 2 on an enemy and you teleport to him only to have him teleport about 300 units away from you when you immobilize him. Same goes with headbutt stuns etc. This happens way to frequently, with any skills that closes the gap on people.

Everytime I’m on a warrior and we win a game everyone thinks I got carried and when we lose its the warrior’s fault. I see my team jump into a point with 3 man on it with 2 downed teammates and proceed to die a few seconds later. I target enemies and 100→1% the enemy only to see my team all targetting random people, these are the games where I lose 90% of the time.

Tell me about it. I ran warrior and was the only person actually downing people. As soon as I leave the point to cover home, they could no longer win any fights. As soon as I show up their ele/bunker gets destroyed and I see my team just running around like headless chickens as I’m trying to finish off the downed ele instead of helping me.

We lost the game and I get blamed. Yes sustain on warrior is bad but that’s why I don’t rush in face first into fights and play a bit like a thief waiting for the right moment which usually isn’t longer than a few seconds since I’m baiting their dodges/stabo.

Better fix is to make berserker stance 1s pulsing per second intervals, instead of 3s in 3s intervals. If they get corrupted you only take 1 second or less of a tick of damage. Also eternal warrior should be 3 stacks of stability not 1. Even necros get 3 stacks per 3s, and there’s no need to trait for it.

Even with all of this, warrior isn’t going to be a “good” choice when reverant still does everything a warrior does 10x better. Protection boon > warrior, enough said.

I won 90% of my games trolling on warrior Diamond Tier1 3/4 to legendary, then again from legendary to halfway to Prestige 2. Warrior isn’t 100% rubbish but yes they could use a few buffs.

Sorry doesn’t work, too many classes have ways to deal with rifle. The pros will line of sight you force either you stay where u are doing nothing or you go in and get rekt. Reapers 2 ability literally destroys all projectiles and is a low CD, engineers reflect all day or is stealthed, aura eles gives reflects to everyone.

Win only when the entire team of enemy’s abilities is on CD to do some damage and hopefully pick someone off. Warriors cannot carry at all and have no sustain and cannot bunk whatsoever. It’s always been kill or be killed.

Only thing you got to blame is how easy protection buff boon is to apply whereas pre-HoT protection boons weren’t as easily accessible and weren’t just on permanently, so power builds stood a chance.

I know I haven’t been streaming, but I wanted to update this thread.
I changed my amulet back to berzerker amulet. I found out that the added damage was worth it over the 5k hp. My defense is the offensive pressure.

Also, this build does surprisingly well against condi mesmer. Who knew lol

I am testing out Vamp runes again.

Here are some screenshots of effectiveness. If you recognize account names, then you know I am not messing around in these games.

I looked at this shot again. IDK how I have 25k hp. Marauders is right around 24k. Maybe we have the beast. IDK

Tried vamp runes too, it always seems to be a bit of a hit or miss. But I still think marauder is better cuz you get a higher crit chance which should translate to similar dps but with more hp.

Look at the meta, ele, rev, necro, scrapper, druid they all have protection boons. Top tier classes, look who literally has zero access to protection. Thief + warrior, you see the problem now? Did I just blow your mind?

You are playing it wrong. They have so many blocks/blinds/evades/CC/heals and all the while doing high dps and insane chasing ability. For most folks the class is new and will take time to master. I played like kitten and still easily won nearly all my games hitting legendary, its that easy.

Ran a variation on the condi war and I think its better than the current one ur using. As always go big or go home is the way to go with warrior atm. Doing the same with rifle/gs war and every class dies as soon as you throw the mark target on someone’s head. The pressure you do on people is something you can’t really get on any other class atm but get focused and you’re dead 100% of the time. Kill or be killed sadly.

Forget the travel time, most maps have insane vertical levels and knockback PvE terran mechanics in them that can instant kill you is insane. Who the heck thought it was a good idea? Most competitive folks hate Skyhammer due to cheap kills and A-Net learned nothing and threw em back in WvW. WvW was always about outplaying your opponent with skill not just getting some CC and kill em by knocking em off the ledge because there’s ledges at every inch of the map.

I laugh because I can tell you that it’ll be at least 1 year till A-Net does anything about it, by then the game mode WvW at the very least will be completely and truly dead. The best they can muster is to let the players that they will revert reset time and even then how long did it take them to even acknowledge that they might of screwed up. The US congress is running laps over A-Net in getting anything done. That is sad.

Sorry, for anyone who did not buy HoT, you shot urself in the foot and jump off a cliff barely survived the fall and minutes later racing usain bolt. Elite spec really does amount to alot as its a straight upgrade to every build and will win you more games than someone without. Until expansion 2 comes and a new elite spec comes that is.

Your top 5 priorities for WvW-Overhaul

1. Rewards, you should be able to get all the new sigil/runes/stats/gear by doing WvW only.
2. Maps needs to be more accessible with simply terran, I don’t want to spend 15 minutes running looking for people. You already made reviving fully dead players difficult so fights in large groups shorter since you cannot power revive people. This makes rallies nearly impossible.
3. Revert NPC and towers/keeps to pre-HoT. Tactivators are insane in what they provide. We have seige and better positioning to deal with attackers, we don’t need insane PvE instant gib airship bombardment in this game mode. WvW is massive player vs player, not NPC+players vs players.
4. WvW should be the end game like in every other game because you can never out smart another player, they get better and will one up you as you try to one up them. WvW should have the most unique rewards and grinds. You need to reward those with insanely high ranks so we can distinguish ourselves from seasoned WvWers to newbies.
5. Combine small population servers into big ones so we can fight folks from different servers.

If you want to satisfy everyone, the best option is to simply give players the ability to choose. There is no one size fits all, you won’t please everyone but you can certainly ease the gap. Folks in legend rank are having trouble finding games because like all games the higher up you go the fewer players play at your skill level. Other players are frustrated when stuck at a particular rank, but the problem I would say isn’t that they are stuck, its actually that they are stuck getting division crossing needed to make the legendary backpiece. Once this restriction is gone, people wouldn’t care about hitting higher rank and instead focus more on their game play+skill also would allow dropping to where people’s true skills are.

A-Net should just remove “divisions” and add number ELO or rankings like before and in order to fix queue times, you can add an option to give people in higher ELO an option to play against lower tier players but give their team more “ratings”, similar to that of the first season. People who don’t want to play against people their own skill won’t be punished and those who just want to have fun can without the wait time.

Like all things with PC gaming, giving people more options is never a bad thing. Only thing you need to do is bring back the old system for those who want it.

I feel that it’s not 100b that is the problem, it’s the skills used to set it up. Skull Crack, Bull’s Charge, and Head Butt are less effective than they used to be because now everyone is swimming in stun breaks/Stability.

My old Skullcracker build just feels useless now, even vs other Wars. Now that Last Stand has a lower ICD and that skills like Outrage exist, you’re never going to get the full stun off unless they make a big mistake. You would have to use Pommel Bash to trigger Last Stand, get full adrenaline, land Shield Bash, let them break, then Skull Crack. Not missing a single attack is tricky.

Mace is now basically a condi weapon for Berserkers.

Making Sundering Mace have Stability stripping on Burst would help a little, but it seems like the game is now more suited towards frequent small CC’s rather than big long lasting ones.

You missed the part where you’re essentially doing “melee hell”, fighting a DH with only melee setup is asking to get cc’ed to dead. I swapped to a more damage setup and it works 10x better. Berserker traitline is a must in this meta.

^ Basically, A-Net entire team doesn’t give two kittens on warrior. If anything good in PvE/PvP happens to em where they aren’t might banner duty they will get nerfed into the ground without a moment’s notice. I’d be surprised if A-Net even gave a single post to acknowledge all the thought ppl put in, but they don’t.

PS. In case people forgotten, warrior once had frenzy give 4s quickness and took 4s debuff of +100% incoming damage. This took half a year to fix, A-Net doesn’t care until no one players warrior anymore and they’ll buff “Kick” to compensate for it.

Personally I think the Berserker traitline is completely fine. It is all the other classes elite specs that got powercreeped with too much sustain/defense.

I agree though that it is less likely that ey nerf every single other elite spec. I would not find it most optimal though if the Berserker line becomes also a must have pick. Already now it is really good imo, if anything a few traits need some shaving.

Dead or Alive

  • now clears all condis when it procs

This is the only trait I feel that kind of fails at what it is supposed to do. Right now most of the time this just makes condis tick for 1 or 2 more seconds and you still die. Especially since poison affects the heal. Beside this change I would also improve other traitlines and especially core skills.

Mending

  • now physical skill

On my Mark

  • now removes all boons from the target

Shake it off

  • now cleanses 2 conditions instead of just one

Berserker heal should be seperated from PvE and heavily buffed for PvP. The stances trait should not increase duration (people just stop focusing anyway when the stance is poppee) but also decrease cooldown of the stance skills by 20%.

I do like the on my mark suggestion. At the moment the skill is so kitten useless as with most of the other utilities offer terrible synergy and awful actives. The best utilities are the defensive ones.

I do most of the changes, but the best ones are the axe/hammer burst skills. Namely the ones in berserker mode, atm they are beyond awful. Adrenal health is great because adrenal health is based on the old warrior builds, changing it to gain health might make “To the Limit” shout heal actually worth taking. An active healing ability should heal more than a passive one as you can get cc’ed when trying to heal.

Yep, I just did 6 games for the 2 dailies. Went 5-1, one match we did 500-2 on a team. Very depressing, odd the game I lost which ended up like 300~ to 612 I didn’t lose a pip. All solo q’s, I think you just play very poorly or must be the folks that leave your teammates to bleed out instead of instant ressing him.

It’s not 1v1 people are complaining about its when the enemy team decides to condi dump on you, you get screwed. Before the good warriors dropped zerker stance just before an engage or getting focused on and make the enemy waste their skills. Now its just faceroll instant kill a warrior.
People are complaining about warrior team viability, they lack their team condi immunity which they so desperately needed.

Well the whole point was that warriors can just as easily grab a banner lying around like how an engineer change kits as long as they’re in melee range making it 100% seamless. Nothing else changes but it would help teammates since they can pick it up too the old fashion way and still get the ability to instantly finish someone off.

Hell even the CD on the kitten thing doesn’t need to be changed its now sitting at 120s so its long enough that its still serves it purpose and not be brokenly op. The way I see it is that players can cast em behind an enemy and knock em towards a warrior..

Re-evaluate banners for warriors

Fix banners by buffing them so warriors are more relevant in team fights.

Banner ability 5 can be used to instant spike downed players. Normalize banner abilities this just means ability 2 needs to be the same across the board, I suggest the defensive banner aoe 360 knockback like hammer 4. Also instead of throwing banner on CD after use warriors can reclick the skill to instantly grab the banner if they’re within melee range.

Add a new banner trait knock back enemies on impact and can instantly kill downed enemies.

This will give warriors a unique place in PvP, something that isn’t damage and gives them a more support role outside of just spam boons. Warriors aren’t lacking too greatly on damage/mobility front, they are lacking in a team presence role, this will fix the warrior.

Warrior had good CC pre-HoT. Now its ok cc, but sadly even chronomancer, ele, reaper, engineer, druid, revenant got us beat in terms of CC. Not to mention their CC is all AOE, ours is single target for the most part

Seriously necro shouldn’t just dominate every single class because they’re the sole class with an insane amount of boon strips/corrupt. There literally needs to be A counters B, B counters C, and C counters A to keep one class/meta destroying everything else and rendering everything else obsolete.

Get interrupted on heals cuz you know how none of the insane amount of aoe cc spam was toned down even slightly. This is why healing signet will still be king, we won’t get interrupted. Melee class in an aoe cc insanely high dps meta with the absolute worst sustain = dead.

So warrior had issues with conditions PREPATCH, now lets nerf zerker stance so baddies can still endlessly spam conditions (now with Viper +condi duration) and corrupt em for even more damage so we instant die as soon as the stance wears off.

Oh well, at least I won’t get insulted when I down people for playing op classes.

Warrior’s dps is literally the least reliable, people still haven’t caught on that 100b dps NEEDS to be setup. You need to setup before you can even attempt to use it and hope you don’t cc’ed out the wazoo. Warrior = melee class with the least survivability. It was ok in the past since there were a lot fewer aoes, now its aoe hell, warrior will be bottom of trash tier.

Seriously A-Net does not even attempt to speak at all about warrior’s current predicament because they simply do not care. They don’t even bother looking in the warrior forums and too busy catering every other forums to make sure their needs gets met.

How you not know that GW2 is now P2W game. Either buy HoT for elite spec or get farmed. In case you haven’t noticed, next expansion a new elite spec is going to be out and yes its going to be OP compared to core traits.
