You could, of course, also work like this:
Rotate the mobs you farm in an area (if you are so hell-bent on farming), sell the drops you don’t need (crafting mats usually sell well at the TP), use the money gained from those sales to buy the mats you need.
Problem solved.
Please don't restrict cultural armor to Heavy/Medium/Light Only.

Well, the tier 3 asuran light armor is that of Zojja because, well, she’s a mage
Same as the Tier 3 Sylvari armor being that of Caithe, who is a thief, and I’m pretty sure Logan wears the tier 3 human heavy armor, etc. …
By the way: Can you do something about our hair disappearing when wearing headpieces? I wouldn’t want to wear tier 3 asuran light armor because it would literally turn me into a little Zojja clone :/
Also – yes, there are some medium armor pieces that I absolutely adore but can’t wear on my necromancer. Maybe allow some fiddling with the transmutation stones?
Well, at least switching between builds is free in PvP
Being able to save a couple of builds really would be nice though.
Even in PvE, I use different builds for soloing and playing in a group (I use minions for soloing because they are nice flesh-shields, but a more support-heavy build based on wells for group-play). While the major traits allow me to have at least 2 somewhat useful builds, being able to switch between 2 trait configurations free of charge (in PvE) sure would be nice.
Way points need not be free, but slightly less expensive would be nice. Or, as I mentioned in the suggestions thread, costs should at least be dependant on the zone, not your level, to make it easier to reclaum travel costs.
And, yeah, making them somewhat lower would indeed be nice.
So far (lvl 67) I’m completely fine wit repair costs though (hardly ever dying enough to make it expensive, and then mostly from jumping off cliffs and the like) – but then, I’m not doing dungeons much.
I agree that the Jagged Horror is extremely useless as it is – it hardly ever even reaches the foe before dying.
Also, the Trait about increased size of marks and marks become unblockable? Works only for about half of the marks, sadly.
Ok, just beat the one in Dredgehaunt cliffs – yes, I would consider that a jumping puzzle, was quite frustrating at times. But I felt oh so accomplished when I finally made it
Please keep them in, I love vistas, and even though I’m rather bad at jumping puzzles, I quite like those.
Warriors and Elementalists I believe. I see a fair deal of engineers, too – or at least their turrets at many locations.
Really though, I feel it’s pretty well balanced.
Btw: No matter how broken you find the necromancer, I still have a blast playing mine It’s probably not suited for people preferring burst damage, though.
Thank you for makig a game that I can’t only enjoy myself, but that provides even my boyfriend (non-gamer) which heaps of fun when he is sitting behind me, merely watching me play (instead of leaving the room because he’s so bored)
This was exactly the evolution of online games that I needed. It’s even better for leaving room for improvement
I’m getting suspicious emails about my non-existent WoW or AION accounts all the time – they remain in my spam-folder until I feel like deleting them in a bulk.
As I have moved my GW2 account to an all-new email address (and I don’t have any sort of account on either of those games, merely had a trial period on WoW years ago), I’m not worrying all that much. Hackers always try to get your data randomly by sending out emails like these I suppose.
On a side note, I always take gleeful pleasure in reporting goldspammers in GW2 – never fails to lighten up my day when they are stupid enough to contact me ingame
Ugh, that’s horrible.
I’m seeing an increasing number of posts here which led to believe that there may be people out there whose accounts are compromised by trolls who only log in to steal some money and wreak comparatively little heavoc with the original account owners hardly any wiser :/
Yeah, well it wa stupid to follow him, but…the resulting story was so insanely funny! I loved that. Personally, I wouldn’t have listened to him either, but I was able to explain it away with that asuran quirk that they all want to be the best, cleverest genius of all
Not to mention the personal story – like when I had to operate that “black hole” machine, disregarding the protesters outside fearing the world might end…real world references at their best XD
Or when I defeated evil-me from the future….why, oh why did so much of the fun end when I left for Lion’s Arch? ;_;
Anyway, Asura are simply amazing.
And yes, rolling anything else makes you feel like you’re runing in slow motion ^^°
Pretty sure this is meant to stop people from botting – just go to some other zone and try “farming” there, if that’s what you like to do.
You get most exp for Events, hearts and exploring. And a buch for crafting, too. But discovering vistas, waypoints, POIs etc. really does help a bunch
Ah yes, and even collecting crafting materials gives more exp than killing stuff I believe. And reviving – both players and NPC.
I’m actually leveling much faster than I’m comfortable with -_-
A suggestion for waypoint-travel cost:
Make the cost dependant on region, not level. This way, you would create more of an incentive to complete lower level zones when you are a higher level yourself. Otherwise, traveling cost will eat you up without sufficient chances to win all that silver back within the region (I’d really like to complete the Charr regions and get down to Ebonhawke, but it just feels way too expensive at lvl 65…)
Reducing the traveling cost at least to Lion’s Arch (from wherever you are) to 0 would also be awesome – either hat or add some outposts allowing for bank access and crafting in the higher level zones.
Also: Do something about the Jagged Horrors, please.
I should post the troubles with other (broken, because not working as decribed in the tooltip) traits in the specific profession forum, right?
Probably when the more serious/game breaking stuff such as bugged personal story instances etc. are fixed
The way GW1 worked, I also just dont want to believe that the game was designed around a reasoning requiring to either spend real-world money or engage in long farming sessions. That just doesn’t fit Anets ideals. (I want to believe in the good on people)
Yep, and the skritt egg thieves quest remains on stanstill, too.
Already bug-reported that one ingame
…you realize that this thread was actually meant for people whose issues were resolved, and that you probably won’t get help any faster by posting your unresolved issues here? There’s a seperate sticky-thread for that.

Hi,
I’m asking for a friend who can’t even login to the forums anymore.
He sent a ticket on the 31.08.2012 (8/31? sorry, German here, but having her own issues accessing the german forums ^^°), ticket 120831-013908.
He successfully changed his password, which resulted in him not being able to use any of his passwords (neither the old one nor the new one). Recovery-system apparently doesn’t work, he correctly put in his data several times – without success.
Any information on how to resolve this issue would be appreciated.
In all seriousness though, the game wasn’t even out in 4/10/2012 – that was just beta phase, and problems in beta phase shouldn’t be all that important.
So your trouble has something to do with ablocked account, I presume? I think they are just trying to verify it’s really yours.
I’m afraid getting CE-items just isn’t all that high on their priority list right now :/
…isn’t 63k karma a “little” excessive in any case? oO
I still get hardly ever more than 200 karma (gold reward) for doing PvE events in lvl 40-50 zones, which is really not that much more than what I get in starter zones – do the rewards rise exponentially in lvl 80 zones or something?
Agreed – the waypoint costs could use some looking into. I find that especially at higher levels, you are compelled to visit different, more far-off areas more frequently (to help friends, because you need this or that crafting material, because yyou want to catch up on some exploring, etc.), yet you are punished more heavily for doing so.
There really are enough money sinks, what with the prices being as high as they are and the fees at the TP often not making selling profitable there.
~50 copper should be expensive enough afaik to ensure flexibility.
Especially considering the fairly low karma rewards for events in PvE
I heard that you get most karma in WvW, but my system is unfortunately so weak that I believe I’d quickly land at 1 fps in WvW >_>
(We shouldn’t be forced to participate in a PvP mode to stay “competitive” in PvE I think)
+1 to the minion issues (well, especially the bit about the Jagged horrors – that health degen is so broken they are entirely useless 99% of the time – I can live wit the rest of the AI problems, but this one is just horrible)
+1 to staff/marks issues ( I also noticed the lack of life leech here)
As for the bleeding stacks/event participation count problem: I think this needs to be revisited in general. Supportive players should be awarded for their participation as well without having to give up their preferred way of playing just because only dps is counted towards the event participation.
Hard CC sometimes isn’t even helpful in dungeons, as many bosses seem to be immune to a number of cc abilities.
I agree though – supportive builds seem to be much more sensible in dungeons. And no , that does not mean “get the water mage for heals” – he dies so fast from hits and heals so little that his skills are better spent otherwise.
However, I also have slight gripes with dungeons – and I only just did AC in story mode (I don’t feel like I want to do explorable mode). Our group wasn’t too thrilled that “trash mobs” were often harder than the bosses, and the lovers seemed buggy at times (they couldn’t be knocked back with boulders although they were standing in the middle of the room or got stuck at pillars and other environmental elements), making the fight against them more frustrating than necessary. King Adelbern was a breeze in comparison.
A little balancing here might make things more smooth – especially since the story mode originally wasn’t designed as all that challenging, if I remember correctly.
