If I knew the person I loved was in danger and I had the power to save them – well, screw the world.
…sadly, that doesn’t make me hate Logan any less, since I liked Snaff better than Jenna ^^°
Also, if he hadn’t left, chances are good we’d now have one less dragon to worry about.
And to make matters worse, he won’t even apologize for it….can we feed him to Zhaitan, please?
I must admit that I’m really bad at playing (=fighting) and typing at the same time, otherwise I’d probably try some roleplaying ingame, too. I am a roleplayer at heart, after all But then, I can very well compensate for the lack of ingame rp with real-world larp
I’d love it to be revived in-character though.
Yes, it’s really sad – although in this case, I’d rather see a nerf at least on the warrior’s condition output. If you are that good with dps, it’s plain unfair if your dots are that strong, too :/
In my opinion, crafting is the easiest way to get Exotics which have exactly the stats you need – not a small benefit, that (why would I spend over 100k karma on exotic armor which neither has the stats I want nor looks which I like?)
Also, there are people who simply have fun doing it
For the love of all that is good in the land, plz shut up vendors!

Please don’t erase the random conversations between NPC!
I agree though that the greetings can get pretty annoying. Is there any way to configure it so that everyone only hears the greeting directed at themselves?
MacBook Pro, late 2010
i5 2,53 Ghz
4 GB Ram
Geforce 330m (256 MB ;_;) (+ Intel 3000, but I’m pretty sure that’s irrelevant)
Framerates drop by roughly 10 – I was getting 20-30 fps in Lion’s Arch under Bootcamp, and 10-20 with the Cider Port. Settings: Low to medium, no shadows.
Would it help if I upgraded my RAM to 8 GB? Have been putting that off for a while…
(I’m pretty sure I can’t upgrade my GPU)
Yeah, got that, too – although I was getting “at least” abou 14 fps in Lion’s Arch.
Still really bad ^^°
Probably won’t do to much with it at the moment, but its still okay for peeking in for a couple of minutes between working – you know, without wasting time on a reboot and such still really happy about that
Edit: Running on a (I think, can’t quite remember ^^°) late 2010 MBP, 15", i5, 4GB RAM and 256 MB Video Ram (GeForce 330m)
YES, thank you oh so much
I get so annyed every time I have to wait for windows to boot…or for some stupid update to finish, and then for the reboot again…
THIS MIGHT HELP: Remap your right Open-Apple Key to Right Click on MacBook Pros

No right click on you MBP? oO
On mine, I configured my trackpad so that I have a very normal rightclick, on the right side of the trackpad…
However, I find it very annoying to use the trackpad for gaming, which is why I’m simply using a mouse here
Edit: Ah, yes, then again, on windows, that does not work, I noticed.
…and again, using a mouse makes things a lot easier.
The function keys can be avoided by moving while using them – e.g. if you are strafing using E and triggering F1 at the same time. Or you could remap them Haven’t quite found a decent spot my small hands can reach, so I’m still getting used to either clicking them or moving while activating my lovely death shroud ^^°
Now if the overenthusiastic Mac-haters could just keep their opinions to themselves, we’d all be even happier
Seriously people, no one is forcing you to pay for or play on a Mac, so just let us Mac-Users be happy that we don’t have to keep switching to Windows when we want to play.
I love you Anet for providing me with that chance Will even upgrade to lion now…
Ahh yes, leveling…I hit level 80 yesterday and am still so far behind on more-level approriate maps because I spent so much time hanging in around and finishing lower and mid-level maps ^^°
So much left to do
I also encountered more and more missing dialogue in the later chapters of the storyline (mostly starting after getting closer to/into orr territory).
Usually, the first lines/speakers in the cutscenes are missing dialogue. Sometimes, specific characters are hardly ever heard at all.
Sadly, I forgot to take a screenshot and was to tired to write a detailed bug report yesterday – I’ll do that today I think.
Just got Lichform, excellent but a female version would be good eh?

I laugh at whoever says this game is sexist. I mean kitten really? no offense, but the entirety of the charr lore is about how the charr women earned their place in the world by overthrowing the flame legion.
…
The game’s lore is not sexist at all, I agree on that (and greatly appreciate it). Now, if you look at the female scholar armors (or even the heavy ones, what with the boob-armor), or even the human and norn female body types during beta, that’s another matter entirely…
But this is not the place for that discussion, and frankly, I’m tired of it.
Anyhow, I have no qualms about turning into a giant, male-looking, green-glowing god of death. Especially as an asura. So much fun
….Ok….that design IS hilarious ^^°
I kind of liked the idea of shooting rainbows, but that’s harsh XD
I must admit that I am mostly checking out story mode dungeons for the story….
So yeah, wouldn’t complain about a slight decrease in difficulty. They are manageable, however.
…and provide heaps of fun in voice-chat
Hmm, up to lvl 60 or something I didn’t have any real problems on my necro, and then I simply decided it might be more fun (and, yes, slightly easier) to do it with friends.
But then, the Asuran personal story seems well balanced that way; I know there are Norn and Human instances which…don’t work so well to say the least.
You do have to put much more thought into skill use and positioning when doing the personal story on a light armoured character, as they do tend to feature large mob waves…
Logan dies? Hell yeah (insensitive, egoistic, stupid, useless jerk)
Ahhh yes, the children in Lion’s Arch explaining what went wrong with Destiny’s Edge…I just loved that! Such a perfectly fun and intriguing way of telling a bit of background story. But then, I love basically all the NPC-children interactions you can see out in the world…
All in all, I am VERY happy with having chosen an Asura main upon launch. Their behavior and verbal expression is a perfect fit with their archetype and never fails to make me smile – without really getting boring and repetitive. And oh how I loved the real world references!
I agree though that there are more than a few instances were the voice acting is really lack-luster; the emotion supposed to be portaied often just can’t be found in the voice acting used for the scenes.
On a side not concernng the “weird” character and actions of Destiny’s Edge:
I agree that Eir’s idea to reunite Logan and Rytlock by giving Logan a matching sword was stupid. The only way to reconcile those two starts with Logan admitting he might have made a mistake and saying he’s sorry. Snaff deserves that much.
This is also the explanation for Zojja’s bitterness – she was always ‘snippy’, but since Logan (and, to an extent, Eir) caused her beloved mentor’s death, she has become bitter.
All in all, I mostly agree with TheGHammer, though I might not see it all that harshly. However, the dialogue out in the world really is much better executed than the one in the cutscenes. At least situations involving more than one participant might work better if they dropped those visuals.
I was so sad when he died Really good job on the characterization and making me care about an NPC.
I was so proud of him…sniff
Actually, I don’t really see the big deal with explorable mode dungeons being to hard for some people – they are optional content after all which was specifically designed for people seeking a challenge.
A sort of tutorial dungeon would be a good addition, though – or making Caudecus Manor the lvl 30 dungeon, as that one was a breeze compared to AC…
Of course they aren’t there to fight the dungeon for us, silly – however, I would appreciate it if they didn’t keep standing at the dungeon entrance when the group was just wiped and is on their way back to the boss.
Rytlock was quite handy at times in AC, when he would actually tank for us, and Eir isn’t all that bad either.
The thing about Logan was more of a lore/story commentary, really. I obviously should use more smileys….
Easiest option? Don’t trade via map-chat and mail.
We do have a trading post for that. If prices there seem to low – keep the item a little longer and wait fro prices to improve.
…on a less lore-centric note: Did anyone figure out a better way of killing Brangoire than circle strafing around him, taking turns so he doesn’t reset in the time it takes you to run all the way back when he feared you into a poison coud, then into a corner and then you were taken out by his critters before you had recovered enough to dodge out of the way?
I love them
Seriously, how could anyone not choose to save the quaggans?
/sign for quaggan plushies

Naaa, the Lich is male. ‘s just that. I’m arguing a lot about the sexism ingame and stuff, but the Lich? Heck, that’s fine.
Now, a race-specific god of death -thingy….that would be nice
Btw – have you seen it dance?
See, I’m a casual, and I really don’t mind the difficulty. Sure, the story mode in dungeons could be a little less frustrating at times, but so far, I’m having fun (and my all-casual guild is well able to handle them) – and I don’t begrudge the difficulty of the explorable mode, as it is entirely optional content as was simply not designed for me.
…In the end, I believe, it might be best if they introduced a “hard mode” button like they did in GW1 for the overall content, to satisfy “hardcore gamers” while not driving away casuals. Might be difficult in a persistent game world though.
Dear world creators (ArenaNet),
Logan is a useless chunk of meat and a stupid, childish and unreliable bookah. Can I please kill him and turn him into a fleshgolem so he for once does his part and does not abandon the group in a crisis?
Sincerely,
The Snaff Savant/Lightbringer/Second in Command in Trahearne’s army.
P.S.: On a side note, Caithe was slightly unresponsive and would not join us in battle from time to time. Also, it would be greatly appreciated if Sariel could spawn a waypoint after his death. The way back from the start of the whole mess becomes a tad tedious when once again slain by Faolain’s second pet (Brangoire) and his army of [insert curse here] death nova critters (after being feared through a poison cloud into a corner and stunned out of life by said critters).
See, I told you it was fine to collect issues in one thread instead of starting countless whine-threads about the same issue
feels reassured and will probably get her necro to 80 today
Thank you so much for this
As weak as the necromancer may be, I found it to be extremely survivable – and that was something even my group was quite happy about when we were in AC.
Also, I just like the feel of the class, and going with a MM made PvE rather easy for the most part, even as broken as they are. Just imagine what we would be capable of if they merely repaired the broken traits and tweaked our damage output or ability to stack and maintain conditions
(Yes, I would be most happy about a redesign of the trait lines, but that’s secondary, really)
Maybe they are merely working on it and will talk about it once they have figured out what they’ll do?
The game has been out for a couple of weeks, most of which Anet was busy getting people to actually play, irrelevant of profession, or getting the trading post up and running – not to mention restoring all those hacked accounts and looking into various bug reports. They will get to the necro at some point.
Bananaheli: Yes, but it would really be sufficient to have one of them with a kittenload of responses. this way, we are just cluttering up the necromancer forum.
Geeesh people, do we really need yet another thread whining abou this? >_>
Yes, it is horrible and yes, we need some answers, but please…use the search function or something.
Actually I can manage gold pretty easily in most events – all except that one event chain in Harathi Hinterlands, no matter what I do and how many bosses I assisst in killing. >_>
But then, event rewards need a general overhaul, so that’s no specific necromancer problem. The stacking of conditions or the weak fear compared to other professions on a profession that is meant to specialize in those fields, now that is another matter…
Does it count as a bug that the Jagged Horrors usually die from health degen before they can reach an enemy? They only started surviving more than 3 seconds for me when I reached ~lvl 67 I think.
Generally, I’m not too happy with the Minion-centered Minor Traits in Death Magic – a line that is also focused on making the staff more effective. What if I with to use the staff, but no minions? Half of the traits in that line become useless.
Also, we are no flavor of the month everyone has one class
Anet has kept patching all classes in GW1 for years – I’m pretty certain we can expect some fixes for the Necromancer in GW2, too.
That said, I was also somewhat sad there was nothing in for us in the latest patch :/
Well, good thing I don’t care much for effectivity so long as I have fun in PvE.
I am mostly fine with the weapon skills (can hold my own pretty well, at least with minions around), but the amount of utility which is lost is really just awful oO
Yesterday I felt like my Jagged Horror lived at least a little bit longer than before – it still had health degen, but would at least reach the enemy and do some damage in most situations.
Don’t know what’s the cause though, or if I only imagined it.
Awesome Really looking forward to this feature.
I’ll be bringing my adorably creepy Asura necro to lvl 80 first (and do all the world completion stuff on this character), then taking a break to do some playing on my Sylvari ranger and, suprisingly, my Charr guardian (I normally hate heavily armored melee classes, but this one feels quite fun).
I also have a human ele that I still don’t feel like playing. Maybe I’ll switch it for a mesmer. Was fun but challenging back in beta.
oO I’m level 67 now, doing nearly all DEs I run into, and have a measly 5k Karma…..I do spend some from time to time though.
Are you european-based or us/international based?
Yep. Did that. Still have to get mykitten moving to do it for all my other account-stuff, too >_>
But hey, the password for my GW2 account is now over 20 characters long
It would help, at least for armor, if they made the order armor not soulbound on purchase, but accountbound. I’ll hop over to the suggestions forum…
Engineer only has ranged weapons, if I remember correctly.
Ranger, naturally (although that greatsword can be huge fun….)
Mesmer
Elementalist.
Dual pistol is great fun on a thief, but having somethig more melee-oriented is usually really useful for your secondary weapon slot.
Apparently, you need to join different guilds (lucky me had enough friends joining the game who’ll help out with nearly everything)
Look for guilds concentrating on PvE for example, maybe by looking through the various recruiting posts on facebook etc., or use map-chat to ask for a guild which caters to your preferences.
Heck, if I ever saw someone asking for story-help, I’d gladly jump in – I love the story missions.
Endgame starts at lvl 1. If you include dungeons, at lvl 30. Either you enjoy that sort of gameplay, or you don’t.
I always report them as scammers, but an option specifically for “goldseller” would sure be nice
Agreed with Mozzyrelly, btw – I had to look it up first time, too ^^°
(It IS weird that I am always happy when I’m contacted by a goldseller and get to report them, isn’t it?)
