Most of the time, I’m the one opening, a lot of classes don’t run some sort of speed due to their utility slots being left open for far superior skills, like necros/mesmers etc.

So you tend to get a jump on majority of people, and it all depends, sword lets you literally chain tons of evades into 1 long combo, I do it quite a few times in the video, I will evade towards them, roll backwards, dodge, monarchs leap etc. You can evade chain into sword skills extremely fluidly, all the while evading incoming attacks.

Which is why you see me doing a pre-amptive serpent’s strike etc against thieves, so their inital bs misses, or they are about to hit me from stealth before immunity timer goes off. Beautiful thing about BM bunker of any build is that you CAN facetank stuff.

I don’t, I stay and duke it out, sword2 is fine if I need a small window to disengage for a few seconds.

Greatsword is for a power build, I’m all condition, sword provides for a really good weapon along wither either torch or dagger.

It’s still a rough decision sometimes, Pet Prowess with Jag is hard to get away from, not to mention the swiftness on wep swaps, given how freqently I swap. Both are really good.

Yup you’re right, I guess with malicious its just not on the condi tooltip, which would explain why it seems longer.

Just checked on heavy golem in mists, looks like 9s, but seriously looks like it lasts longer.

Wheres Puandro when you need him? Basically the Winters bite is cd of 10s, lasts 3 , and icy pounce is 8.8s if the thing is correct, andis every 24s with commanding voice.

This is where my math genius escapes me, the wiki says it’s only 10% so would be close to 9s, like 8.8s, but it seems to be longer, so idk if the wiki is wrong or.

Ya Menorah said he liked it, gave it a shot and I wasn’t dissapointed, especially with malicious training. It really screws people over if I can time it right after they pull a rotation that relies on a certain burst or healing.

What this dude is saying. Warriors already have a high health pool. You can go runes of melandru for toughness or you can go runes of hoelbrak for a bit offensive -20 condition duration. Then add lemongrass poultry soup – 40% dogged march.

I run hoelbrak now all knights gear my setup is 10,10,30,0/20

Like I said I run Dogged March and not sure footed, since buildcraft hasn’t been updated, Sure Footed is in it’s place.

I get amazing condition removal, have insane armor with a high base health pool, and, I get fury when I immobilize a target, given that I run sw/shield and Hammer I have 4 immobs, so I constantly have fury and it helps me position people for the big combos.

I’m working on a video as we speak. I sometimes swap Healing Surge for Mending, and Sig of Fury for Stamina sig, just depends. I don’t have ridiculous burst dmg, but I do have at least 75%crit chance up all the time with 45-55% crit dmg which isn’t bad.

And Sometimes I swap out force with Generosity sigil on hammer for the OP condi transfer.

I won’t ever shy away from the Axe/Dagger Sword/Torch combo. Given the ridiculous evades you can chain together on both weapon sets, the combo fields, and the constant weakness, you couldn’t pay me enough to use a crap sb, if I was trap oriented, that may be a diff story.

Also a SB w/o piercing arrows is meh. Not wasting the points on that craptastic trait.

I’m tellin ya, the first two fights I showcased is literally 90% of my footage, I’ll be engaged in a nice 1vx and boom, people trickle in.

First, Decided to go with a much more offensive build than previous video, I also stuck with either using Snow leopard with malicious training for chill stacking, or Jaguar with Pet Prowess.

Got a lot of complaints last video for recording quality with the camera, many don’t know that I have a physical handicap in both hands that makes it difficult to rotate camera at certain points during skirmishes, I hope this one was a tiny bit better, I did what I could. Most fights are sped up due to duration, 1vx are spread throughout, tried getting decent 1v2-’s in there but like the first clips, people would just keep adding. And some portions are also zoomed in, was an editing mistake.

Yeah, for 1/19th of the cost, it would be like running Signet of Stone with a full set, I am a toughness junkie myself, my warrior has close to 4k armor. And it deff woulda been easier to get away from Bark Skin. Oh well.

I was going off how you talk about Rangers, as if they’re fodder, not because of the video, but I can see based off of your encounters, how you could come to such an assumption. I never once stated Warriors were bad, as with any class, it’s really up to the player.

I personally love my hammer warrior, have been hammer since I made the character, so I’m not biased.

The Thief is a far better roamer then the Ranger. Rangers are excellent at crowd control and defending walls with longbow. That’s about it. It really comes down to how much you love the profession.

Anytime anyone says anything like this, I just assume they have never equipped another weapon but a bow and sat behind a wall spamming LB5, To which my assumptions based off comments like this normally ring true.

This is why you don’t mix and match kids.

With the new content that was added Settler’s stuff, which is the equivalent to Apothecary just about is cheap as hell, you could always have a condi set and a power set for pretty cheap.

What he said, trying to be a jack of all trades, master of none will get you just that, nothing. Go for one or the other, no sense in being 50% effective at something.

We talk about this all the time. It is unfortunate but a mass percentage of the player base, as with any game, isn’t very skilled. Most of us that are uploading videos on these ranger forums came from DAoC, and were known for soloing and going against the odds for years.

I have literally 20+hours of footage from the past week and there are 3 total fights that end in a draw, everybody else gets facerolled. Thats just the general concensus in any MMO. Anyone who actually is any good will always end up being some sort of stalemate, or nowhere to be found in general.

There is really not difference other than preference. I choose sw/torch and axe/dag because of the evade options on both weapon sets, axe causes bleeding/crippling/weakness etc so dagger is a nice offhand.

I’ve never really understood spirit builds outside of using the elite. They just seem so, meh.

I do agree that it can be clunky and less responsive then I’d like it to be, I chose the class because it had a pet. Instant cast times on all F2 abilities would be something I really would like to see.

There is nothing worse then trying to get off your pet skill and the player dodges, the pet misses etc.

A 25% move speed buff that comes with one of the major trait lines would be nice freeing up a utility slot, but thats just coming from my opinion that was from another mmo I used to play.

Personally I love my ranger and the insane amount of build variety we can implement and thus don’t have any major complaints, other than how some of our traits need reworking, or perhaps a different system for the way pets are managed and not broken down into categories.

Sigils of Energy, screw RNG and get an automatic 50% Endo fill on weapon swap. Add in WS Endo Trait and any amount of vigor and you can Dodge, Dodge, Swap, Dodge, Dodge.

4 seconds of damage evasion and 8 seconds of protection. Great bridge to your next heal, if you run a regen build it allows for 5 seconds of unanswered regeneration while you do the dodges on top of what I have already said.
