Any player worth their salt will know, when they see you swap to axe they know that big move is coming, it’s so telegraphed and easy to avoid.

Now now, we know that Asura Skullcrack to be best designed. Highly telegraphed, highly visible, highly avoidable.

I solo them just fine with this, not even using utilities or heals.

Why is it I’m seeing a ton of QQ posts about S/D all of a sudden? Did something change?

I’d gladly give up all my stuns or take a 1/2 cut in duration if I could get some protection/vigor/blinds, hell anything that helps me deal with EVERY other class that has access to them.

It’s a 1v1-2 build, if you can’t beat it, bring a friend.

I agree Cog, I too can think of 100 different class combinations/builds that are more frustrating to fight.

If you are Mace/Sh and Gs. You are essentially built for 1vx situations and not much else. You specify your build for such and that’s all you are capable of. Any 2 good players vs any 1 good player, no matter of class/build will always down the 1 person, especially running a build like SC/hb.

The point is there is always a counter to something. So when does it stop and what do you, the community think balanced means?

Someone is always going to complain bc X build lost to X class because of X build.

Eles and Mesmers don’t have as much trouble against Warriors as Necros, Engis, and Rangers because they have invuln and blink mechanics that let them kite the Warrior.

Range is always going to be an issue with Warrior, which those classes have much better options for.

I like where Warrior is – they crush greedy condi builds but are able to be kited and bursted from a distance.

S/D thief is more of a problem than Warrior

It’s 2013 bro, get with the times. If anyone loses to a full zerk war doning frenzy, bulls charge, etc. they might as well log off and go play Hello Kitty island adventures, because GW2 is too advanced for them.

I agree whole heartedly. People are complaining about a regen, thats not even on par with Rangers TU+boon duration+regen duration+dwayna runes+apothecary/healing power sets etc.

It fails against burst and the heal is disgustingly low. The build excels at 1v1 or dueling situations and not much else.

I believe the players will complain about anything.

Hammer > Greatsword.

That is all.

Basically pets are useless. Pets die = 25s where the ranger is left defenseless.

With no increase to their hp, they have become garbage.

Are you trying to tell me you took the time to learn the nuances of your class, AND have taken the time to figure out how to counter other popular classes/builds?

Again been a solo roamer for a long time, was one for 10 years in my last mmo. You just get used to other classes/builds and rotations, it becomes second nature w/o putting any thought into it.

Not hard to counter moves if you know whats next, chess my friends. Check mate.

Try Anas build, the first one he lists, it’s LB/Hammer, and it’s extremely fun to play.

You can check his stream, most people seem to think you need to be high condi dmg for LB to work, not the case.

The combo is no easier to pull off then kids pressing as many buttons as they please and just apply ridiculous stacks of conditions.

My Ranger is guilty of this. It’s simply too easy, and I’m afraid that this game is not one of skill. The developers have made nearly every single build, and this meta, entirely too accessible to mouthbreathers. Managing all of 10-15 buttons is not entirely too difficult compared to other MMO’s.

Example, I’m handicapped and have barely any use in my left hand, yet I play with a pc gamepad, and mouse. I’m extremely slow and my reaction time is utterly horrid, yet, despite this, I still manage to do as well as I do.

Maybe it’s the classes I play, maybe it’s not, maybe it’s just bad game design that allows sub par players to spam buttons with little regard to timing and still pwn face.

I’m here to tell you right now. I don’t use GS, I use Hammer.

But even if I did….

1s nerf or even making Para sigil not work the way it does, won’t save even the average player.

Then they will just complain about Earthshaker etc.

It’s not the 1 extra second that putting us at the top.

For example, I had a necro tell me I’m op because of the amount of CC I had, yet he had no stunbreakers. And this is the IQ of the every day player.

Lord Titan, Shags, myself, Callahan, Puandro and some of the best roamers use that combo.

Sw/sh and Hammer has excellent synergy. Your argument that it’s not bc sword has bleeds on auto has nothing to do with anything.

It’s called weapon sheathing, look into it.

And I did give advice for those weapons. kitten .

You dont need Leg Specialist, it’s a waste of 10 pts. You have flurry on sword F1, which you can weapon sheathe cancel into for hammer combos, and final thrust is no joke, even in my build I can hit close to 10k with it after a shield stun when someone is at 50%.

I absolutely agree, Been playing my warrior for months. I believe that either immunity timers need to be introduced, or, a stat needs to affect the duration and or condition damage you take, regardless of food buffs etc.

With that combination you can literally change your attack pattern every single swap, you are never pigeonholed into 1 style of engaging, with an evade on both sets, how is that not everything you could ever want in 2 weaponsets?

Axe/Dagger and Sword/Torch is extremely fluid and fun to play, with tons of synergy.

Same thing for me, warrior was my first beta char. Always played tanks or rogues, but in the beginning it was just meh.

I feel on par with other classes in open world wvw, and as a solo roamer, I’m having a ridiculous amount of fun, which is what it’s all about anyways.

We are officially the steamrollers tanks are supposed to be, and we pose an actual threat instead of posing free loot bags.

10/10 would bang ( You also look like the Villian in the first power rangers movie, Ivan Ooze.)

Anyone have any suggestions as far as build wise for high level fractals 38-48 area?

I want to be ale to support my group as much as possible w/o dying a lot or hitting like a wet noodle.

Any advice would be great, I am a pve noob and it’s been at least 5 months since I did fractals.

The only reason I use it from time to time is because I have around 4k armor, I’m never really being bursted by anything, and conditions are laughable.

Alright 2 things here
1. Both classes that have a high poison uptime are both hard countered by warriors (engis and necro)
2. Basic warrior set up is berserker stance cleansing ire lyssa runes and maybe the cleansing sigil. Warriors will cleanse poison the second it gets on. The signit needs a nerf it is a massive crutch.

Also dipkitten i main a warrior. Stop telling people to l2p when you are the one with all the dumb ideas that will end up breaking the game

If you aren’t running Melandru+Dogged+Lemongrass you shouldn’t even consider roaming solo.

That combination + Cleansing Ire+Burst Mastery+Berserker stance will ensure you kitten all over everyone else.
