Seeing gear/build would help. But generally speaking, you should have little issue with thieves, even if they get the jump.

Build? Just curious

I mean it is and it isn’t. It’s really up to you. GS just has all the tools you’d need for disengaging/re-engaging enemies at will. Knowing how to pull off and Rush out of a situation that doesn’t favor you in order to sway the fight in your favor is more favorable. I roamed with sw/shield and hammer for like almost 2 years, also did mace/sh and hammer, also GS/Hammer. Was very successful with all of the aforementioned combinations. I have quite a few videos in my sig.

I think with our access to Berserk and how AH works now, GS is pretty clutch, especially with primal 360 degree bursts allowing for perma uptime of the 3 stacks of AH.

Just my 2 cents. But play what you enjoy.

I don’t record much anymore since I’m always deployed to 3rd world countries, but I’d check out Vaans channel, he tends to favor GS and axe/sh, but also has some great tips on how to play if you’re attenative. Good luck out there!

Not really extreme, guy was terribad. Not a necro in this game that should be able to beat a well played zerk.

Think it has more to do with most other weapons being subpar.

Total fury 16 seconds 75% uptime.

75% of the time on Pack runes with a base 50% Crit you have 70% Crit.

Now ask me why I would take 75% uptime for Fury over boon duration when berserker warrior doesn’t really put out that much boons.

The real question is, why would I take a (slightly less than) 50% fury uptime (when I already have near perma) and thusly making it a reduntant overflow, over protection and resistance for me and my allies (mainly during burst). And why would I take 30% SWIFTNESS DURATION over 20% BOON DURATION. It’s kinda funny how u use Fatal Frenzy as an argument for pack rune, where it’s completely irrelevant whether u use pack rune or not, for it’s not required to have pack rune to function, nor does it enhance the trait. However durability rune will indeed enhance the trait. If anything it’s in favour of durability rune.

Well, durability was removed for a reason, the build is pretty meta but significantly inferior to any meta build in sPvP. WvW is so random hence a bad, if not the worse, medium to judge a build.

Exact same build/rune use etc I wanted to try and people told me it would be kitten when I posted it last week. Lmfao, Idk why I even ask questions on this forum.

I mean, nobody told me to run them, was just a thought, I’m on T1 and it’s just rare that I ever have less than a 1v3. It’s a constant roaming challenge, so just wanted some extra durability.

Warrior is the best designed class in gw2 for this reason, if only the others had followed suit.

I run a full marauder Swordmaster build. GS+Sw/Sh.

Works hilariously well if I can time the max might with sub 50% final thrust. My current record is a 15k crit.

I run the same (vanilla version), but with Berserker gear. I don’t know what my FT record on a real person is, but against a tower lord I think it’s about 29k (54k for a 100b).

I mostly run that because escaping the horde is pretty important when roaming, and that gives me my best shot. Axe is undeniably better in most fights, but I mostly just use it for (some) duels.

Sometimes I roam with a power GreatBow build too, which can be surprisingly effective and good for the lulz. Can duel with it too, but it’s useless for escaping zergs.

Do you run CI, RR or LS with that?

If more viable power builds enter the meta, there’ll be absolutely no reason to nerf condi-berserker. It’s already easily hard countered by power-berseker, and a decent hybrid stealth mes can ruin any warriors day too. Only trouble is what can be brought to the meta overall. Beating the war is no good if you get beat up by all the revs constantly.

Despite everyone saying this, I always found myself going 50/50 with most condi warriors. If I don’t get into zerker asap, or if headbutt misses, I’m often dead before I get 3 bars of adrenaline. I’ve been burst down in a matter of seconds by condi wars after dodging/blocking as much as I could. If they’re lucky and evade my GS primal a couple of times, or if it clears the wrong condis, I’m usually kittened pretty quickly.

However, this is with me running GS/Axe+Shield and not rifle, which may be a huge factor. I imagine the ability to kite with Rifle will completely hardcounter a condi war, currently. As it stands, melee just dies in a matter of seconds if they wait out your defenses and actually land mace primal.

If you want to keep the staff go with the BM version, you cant keep the staff in the WS version has you have no source of regen and out of combat swifntes. swiftness is important as you want to keep celestial shadow. regen is important for the healing tics,AF regen and the 5% reduction from oakheart slave. So basically a traited horn is a must for the WS variant.

I run with Marauder, scrapper runes, and -10% dmg reduction food, it’s pretty dumb.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve died to stuck bug today alone

I personally love the look of heavy armor mixed with fur, the lack of capes in this game is really dissapointing, especially given most of the artwork has them.

How would you want your warrior to look?

Berserker or Vanilla?

I’m not a math guy, could barely pass basic algebra. I’ve been seeing some of the vets say that with all the damage modifiers in STR line, Vanilla is more powerful than berserker dps wise.

Any thoughts?

Currently I always use LB, just bc I love it with AS. And have been trying various sets

My options for a secondary wep set are

1)GS
2) Sword/axe
3) Sword/Warhorn
4) Staff

Pros and cons? Which would be compliment it?

For wvw. Pros and cons of each? What do you guys prefer?

I Run Smash Brawler with CI, so it seems like having EC up a lot seems to help, especially running outrage for low CD stun breaks

Made a build awhile back that was mace/sh and hammer for solo wvw roam posted it here, ran draining on both mace and hammer, with a few interupts, aside from lack of mobility, it was hilariously effective, combined it with Defender runes, RR, mango pie, etc

You got any numbers for marauders vs. demolisher or you just using demolisher cause it’s new and different? I feel like the more vit helps more but could be wrong.

Smash Brawler > Savage instinct, but wish I didn’t have to choose between the two. That extra stun break is huge.

I opted for more utility than damage so went for DoA cheat death trait and EC for much better stability than balance stance. Add outrage for 10s stun break and notable adrenaline boost.

I hotjoin a lot so 1v2 is common. Just destroyed some noobs 1v2 in hotjoin entire game with this build.

Warrior feels more like a vendo/charged berserker from daoc now.

This is build wars, there really isn’t a “best build”. If there was a perfect ranger build it would be insta nerfed.

This is my Power Ranger build I use for roaming/pvp. Enjoy killing everything with ease.
