Yeah, my link in sig has some older versions of me doing the build on core ranger, it would work better in spvp, but I don’t think there is an amulet that copies apothecary stats.
It’s ok, Dogged March and Warrior’s sprint are getting combined this patch in the defense line. I’m sure of it.
I made a condi druid build when I came back, posted it on forums not too long ago, I enjoy it from time to time, I use sw/t and axe/dagger. Not the meta because it just doesn’t match up, we don’t have the aoe condi spam capability of necros, mesmers etc. WvW roaming it works just fine.
I still play with the runes etc. I’ve changed the build a bit since inception.

GS untraited isn’t IDEAL, but, it does work.
I have tried GS traited and maybe I am just bad at warrior but i found I couldn’t survive that well with out the defensive trait line. That is why I chose to drop it.

Welcome to the issues with Warrs. We are pigeonholed into a defensive or pure offensive option, especially when taking berserker elite. Take defense and we lose out on a ton of damage modifiers, take strength and lose out of a ton of sustain, which we lack to begin with.
Both of your builds aren’t really optimal. I know Vaans runs a similar build to OP’s but with Axe. And Wolfric, taking STR line and not taking BP is a mistake. Only reason to really take that line. GS untraited isn’t IDEAL, but, it does work. Especially with axe, youre mostly in axe and swapping to GS for burst/kiting, with hydromancy+leeching on GS you get a nice spike. That’s what I do anyways. I personally love sword with gs for mobility and flurry setups for HB on annoying classes.

I personally prefer the axe zerker build build for spvp if I do take the zerker elite spec or just plain vanilla with sw or axe/sh + gs, which I do really well with, even vs the op classes, it offers burst but a lot more survivability than the former. You’ll want intelligence sigil for axe for on swap guaranteed crit with Evis.

If stealth meant invulnerability, I would have quit a long time ago. Iv’e killed more thieves while they were in stealth then out of it.

Pretty much a replica of the others that have been posted, not a fan of your rune choices, but thanks for posting. I personally hate condi, but I’ve been fighting cancer with cancer lately, although vanilla still works pretty well.
Take berserker or berserker+valkyrie instead.
It’s not the same at all. It doesn’t have a higher stat count like Maurauders does over the pre-HoT stat prefixes and it is a 1 to 1 tradeoff of precision for a little extra vitality.
The only time I include this in a build is if I go over the character’s critical strike soft cap, making any additional precision worthless.

Thanks, just curious because I’m not super seasoned on thief, which one did you find to be better? rune wise? Exuberence seems pretty legit.
So aoe burning and cripple is not aoe spam?? Because that’s what this skill currently does. And warrior should have access to as many CC as possible, because that’s our job. Giving us condi instead of aoe is kinda meh, just my opinion though.
And nothing is getting buffed they will just switch one for the other.
The only thing worse than AOE spam is AOE CC spam…you’re asking for more of the very thing that’s messed up post-HoT PvP. Also, CC is not your sole job as a warrior, although it does remain a strength, to this day. How many different warrior meta’s have you played through? Warrior is not a 1-trick CC pony.

I highlighted “if” because the answer to that is: no one should have access to more cc, stab, and protection. Warrior is one of the better designed/balanced classes—everything else needs to be nerfed to be brought back down to the level of the warrior.

ITs a nice full damage and control build. As mentined it lacks mobilits or range to compensate. Its a one trick pony that will vanish against stability.
I think the hammer is not needed but it can be realy fun with all that control.
But i would do some sigil changes.
Put +30% stun duration the mace/shield not bleeding duration.
And think using another rune. I am currently trying a mace/shield stun warrior using rune of surging. 15% boon duration and a stun aura XD.

Good to know I’m on the right track, how much power should I be aiming for? And does crit damage really off much bigger of a dps boost over the extra power? Even if it’s just a few %?
I LOVE how people are saying some of these are OP, in reference to multiple stun breaks and stability from stances. Because Stab on dodge with a 5 second rut and crazy boon uptime and stacking aren’t?

Go play Black Desert, you can enjoy hours and hours of horsing everywhere you go. I personally don’t enjoy spending my playtime traveling.
Anytime, on Warrior specifically, I shield stun, swap wepaons, and I skyrocket into the air, sometimes I die. Most times it cost me the setup of a burst. Happens A LOT, or sometimes after swapping weapons, I cant move period.

I’m all for more controlling effects on Warrior. More Cripples, more knockdowns, more stuns. MOAR CC. Warrior needs to start being recognized for what it is, a steamroller, that makes people pay for letting them in close.

Just need some advice from the more seasoned wvw thief players that solo roam. I really enjoy the s/d playstyle, but swap to d/p on occasion. Any insight or suggestions are welcome.
One set uses Exuberence rune sand the other Pack runes. Still playing around with food, trying to stay above 15k hp. Wasn’t sure how high crit chance/crit dmg needed to be but figured 60%/200% were pretty decent.

So essentially the skill builder is wrong and I cant purchase the ascended versions via laurels etc?
I really, really do not like Sword 3 on warrior. It’s a stupidly situational skill, and, with the Sword 2 ALSO being situational, makes sword “2-1-1-1-F1-1-1-1-1” And the burst conflicts with the otherwise good mobility of sword because it’s a root (Something Zerker sword burst fixes).
See, and I like Final Thrust a lot. It may not be so useful in pve, but against other players it hits almost as hard as an eviscerate and it cleaves. The highest damage I’ve had with it against a player is about 12k or so, and then about 25k against an NPC (Tower Lord).
Deff not situational, pretty easy to know when a target is 50% or lower, either flurry or stun them for the guaranteed land, I’ve had it hit for 13k against 2 thieves and killed them both instantly, which was funny because it was after a HB, standing still, and I was about to go down and just threw it out as a hail mary. I’ll never be able to re-create that lol. Just wish the animation was faster.
Just curious, trying to map out thief wvw build, are their marauder ascended trinkets? rings, necks, accessories etc?

What the balance team needs to do with mesmers is to fix their ability to basically be able to cast a double-moa without really needing to rely on illusion generation. That’s the problem imo: they put great pressure with f1-f4 that can be reset with the signet and on top of that they can double-moa without paying much attention on how many illusions are up to perform it. Maybe the best is to increase the cast time of moa or update the functionality of that particular-sorry I forgot the name of it-signet or update the skills of the moa form or simply nerf the sustainability of some other elite (looking at you scrapper and druids). That way, mesmers would not be forced to run this condie build and other classes could become more viable (looking at warriors and thieves)
Moa itself is a problem. Having an ability that locks a profession out its skill set in pvp is not good. 10 seconds is a lifetime in pvp and this skill just needs to go.
The devs have a lot of work to do with professions and certain combat mechanics, and it’s all easy to see. It’s sad that things like this, and the plethora of other issues, have not been addressed in years.
Or being able to chain blind melee classes like warrior.

I’d love to see some changes to sword mh as it’s my favorite weapon. Might or vuln would ft it nicely. The leap is great however our leaps in general are buggy and not very reliable.. I’d like to see 2 become a longer cripple or short immob. Final thrust animation being sped up would make me the happiest of campers in the world. I feel like it should be a quick stab/lunge rather than what it is now.

Not sure if this has been done before, but, I used to run macce/sh and hammer in my old wvw roaming vids on occasion, figured I’d try it with condition. Been playin with it past 2 weeks in spvp, not dissapointed.
The burst is faster than sw/torch. I have no issue bursting down the meta build druids, eles, revs etc. 1v1 and even 1v2 depending can be a joke, even had plenty of people say “wow, what the kitten was that” or “spectating to see what build that was”.
LOTS of interupts.
Give it a shot. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
