you don’t mind revs and yet you complain specifically about a rev skill while all other skills of the same kind work the same way… logic.

Look at the RUT and range compared to the very few skills that act in a similar fashion. Even with shadowstep etc you need to physically SEE where you’re going, not just target someone and hit the key.

It’s not a bad skill, but the pet should physically have to walk to the downed teammate, not teleport the downed person 10000000 meters away into complete safety, that is simply terrible mechanics.

I don’t really mind Revs, they have their strengths and weaknesses like anything else, but, Phase Traversal not needing los and going through walls is garbage.

I figured the role of Berserker would have been more savage than what we got. Like X amount of dmg from conditions etc would give us more power.

Healing signet value changed from 382 to 3,500 per tick, The Resistance that was placed on the Active portion of HS is now passive as well. Resistance to conditions will pulse every 3 seconds and last for 10seconds. Active heal has been changed to 15,000.

I was making a point at how vastly different the 2 are. If you’ve played warrior for more than 5 minutes you’d understand how vital it is for us in the current meta to have double EP.

Except EP doesn’t work against condis ands controlling effects there bud.

Warrior is and always has been THE SINGLE BEST DESIGNED PROFESSION. I’m not sure what happened since June, but holy kitten. No instant, passive, unavoidable burst, telegraphed skills that offer enough window for COUNTER GAMEPLAY, which has practically disappeared and has turned GW into spam wars.

Bring the others in line or the powercreep will make this game more unplayable than it already is.

Pretty sad when a Vanilla Warr is better than the Elite spec.

Yeah, I’ve been trying a condi Rev, taking conditions actually is beneficial, so that’s been fun. But power, yeah, has little to no condi mitigation.

Before I say anything, I’ll say that my Warrior is #1 in my heart with my Druid being a very close second. Only two classes I enjoy and have played since beta. Now, Since I just got HOT this month, I’ve been playing Revenant in pvp a bit.

I have to say, this is some bullkitten. After about a week of toying with builds, even non metabattle builds, it’s become quite apparent how screwed over we got. Same with thief. This Warrior/Thief hybrid is a slap in the face to me honestly. I know I make a lot of posts, but it’s because I love this game, and would love it to thrive, but too much emphasis has been placed on e-sports.

Just looking over everything a Rev can get access to, here are some highlights:

>Crits cause Torment
>Incoming conditions heal you
>50% chance to remove boon on hit
>50% to chill on critical hit
>3% dmg per condition on you (Something similar would have been great on Warr, gain rage/damage, get more powerful the more damage you take)
>25% chance to apply on condis on you back to your foe
>>25% endurance regen
>Increased boon duration
>Tons of access to protection, fury, swiftness, regen, retal, quickness
>50% chance when struck to get endurance
>Stability on kittening dodge, you can even gain an extra stack from EB
>Chance on hit to apply vuln/weakness
>Tons of damage reduction from ranged/below threshold traits
>Chance when struck to either kittening heal yourself or take 50% less condi damage (GG ANET GG)
>Blind on hit
>Dodging removes a condition
>7% extra dmg under the effects of your perma fury
>Heal yourself on skill use/invoking a legend, basically when doing a basic wep swap (derp)
>Break stuns on wep/legend swap
>100% CRITICAL HIT CHANCE EFFECTIVENESS UNDER EFFECTS OF FURY (WHAT THE kitten)
>25% chance to cause vuln on attacks( such high vuln stacking with facets)
>Another 7% dmg against ppl with vuln
>Siphon life from foes with vuln
>Siphon health from foes when attacking from side/back
>20% damage to targets below threshold (why does Warrior not have this)

Just dumb all around imo. Makes me sad for the future, if this patch doesn’t help us, I’m out for awhile. It’s sad that we get denied simple access to something like more stability/protection, which would help tons, but a class like Rev gets to assume a Warrior role and has constant access to these boons and serious damage modifiers.

I was kidding, I usually dye my characters based of the class, Greens/yellows for ranger, Blues/whites for Guardian, Purple/pinks/whites for Mesmer, etc. Like for my rev, I went with a mix of shadow abyss, and various blues, since his hands glow blue, and look misty etc, I also use the Raving Lunatic outfit or whatever.

Those were never really META lol. They were strong but not meta imo. I still never saw any in any tournies..

Just make Warrior have perma Rampage and perma stability.

The biggest issue, in my opinion, is the bottlenecking of our trait lines.

You can either stay Vanilla, aka, Disc/Str/Def which gives you everything

or

You can do:
Str/Disc/zerker
Disc/Def/Zerker
Def/Str/Zerker

Regardless, no one does the 3rd option because Discipline is waaaay too vital. So were either stuck with defensive line and give up 30%+ more damage, or we give Defense, and take Strength and get wrecked without Warriors sprint/dogged march (which needs to be combined) and the other defensive traits, double EP etc.

It seems like EVERY other class had to give up NOTHING to utilize their new lines, where as we have to pick. Zerker is good for gunflame and condi, that’s it.

Everyone else gets the best of both worlds, aka offense and defense and we get stuck into picking one. Or, stay Vanilla and miss out on the Zerker line, which has an amazing elite, and huge damage boosts.

Nerf Head Butt. It’s too OP and kills the game.

I’m going to slightly agree with this, I always felt Warrior was the best designed, moves were telegraphed enough to have reactive gameplay, but offered much more. Now it’s like, all about instant damage, unavoidable damage, aoe spam, etc.

In all seriousness I’ve never lost to anything in spvp/wvw but a very well played Thief, and I mean top tier player, which is rare, they can make no mistakes and have to time everything perfectly.

Between rotating pets, heals, glyphs, CA, Elite etc it’s impossible to keep up.

Honestly. I’ll play warrior till death just because I love the class in it’s entirety. But, it gets old being the joke and never part of the meta, just once I want to feel stupid op and invincible. Just once I want to steamroll the OP classes with ease.

Just take the Healing signet active and make it a passive + health regen. Can change the pulse duration. Boom, we have some help.

Wow that’s amazing, you get to take 2 things that help because it fits in your build. What if Mecha legs wasn’t in Inventions line, but another line where you had to choose between it or another skill that kept your class alive.

Warrior again, if I go defense, I give up 30% or more damage, and then I get to pick between Dogged march (which doesn’t give move speed) or shield master, which is pretty key to improving survivability.

Any other brain busting questions? Have you ever played any other class?

Vitality and healing power counter it.
Sustain and a big hp counters condos extreme well while getting spiked down with power spike burst doesn’t help .
And btw if you look at condi builds in the meta it’s only 2 of the current 7-9viable builds.

-20% condi duration is laughably bad. And no one is taking Heolbrak, that’s part of the issues with Warriors. No matter how much defense you stack, tough, vit etc you won’t kill anyone and you’re still gonna go down like a sack of potatoes.

We also get pigeonholed between picking a offensive approach or defensive, we don’t get the best of both worlds like all the new trait lines get, which is why I prefer to stay Vanilla for now.

To the OP: Yes, I have also noticed the short comings of a system that has no differentiation between physical/elemental/status effects such as bleed.

If you have high toughness, let’s say, as a necro, PLUS DS, you have a massive health pool that would take a pure zerker class to break through, let’s say warrior in this case. Let’s say the Necro has a 30s heal timer, if you think that between 1 block, and a handful of condi cleanses that a Warrior will be able to simply power melee down that condi user in that time frame, between all of the cc, cleanses, heals, DS uses etc that the Necro can dish out, you’re not understanding the major point.

The creep is simply too high for most to combat effectively, and for conditions being so passive…I have to hit you, with a melee weapon, within range, consistently, and over long enough between all that to actually down you. Conditions are applied and PASSIVELY ticking on you, multiple conditions, for that entire time frame you may or may not even be within range of me. Hell even Endure Pain only works against physical.

Actually conditions eat thru your shroud too, any damage really, and since condi’s stack in intensity it will chew your shroud, and spit it out. If you’re not careful. Only reason it seems like it takes a bit is because most meta necs will pick a trait that reduces dps to it from ALL sources not just zerk.

Damage of any kind decreases time in shroud and condis stack in intensity.
