power warr > condi warr in a 1v1 situation. Smash Brawler + CI = too good, i have zero issues with condi warrs
Anytime Im fighting on Druid, and say I swap out of staff, attack, then swap back, the AA doesn’t fire, it takes a few seconds before it starts to actually do anything. At first I thought it was lag, but it’s happening way too often.
Nerf might stacking/generation and stance duration and warriors will be fine. Healing Signet has always been one of the most OP heals as has been Defiant Stance, much like Revenant’s Glint heal.
Warriors do such ridiculous damage because they can might stack so easily and their base numbers on greatsword are ridiculously large.
What other class has a 6.5 sec cd weaponskill that cleaves for 50k+ damage in PvE?
In PvP a warrior with 100b takes off 2/3 of a 2300 toughness condi ranger’s HP. That’s a toughness specced shamans ranger, it’s absurd.
Not even thief backstabs hit that hard, and the warrior has enough CC combos to assure a 100b landing, between headbutt/bull’s charge and mace/shield.
Similarly, warrior hammer autoattacks and skills do pretty high base damage.
Warrior scalings need to be tweaked so warriors need to invest as much into offense and be as vulnerable as a berzerker ele or thief to do the kind of damage a warrior is doing.
Problem is that warrior is essentially a berk thief/ele with double the HP, a bunch of immunity stances, tons of condi clear, and high base weapon damage.
At least ele requires plenty of finesse and might stack rotations to do its damage while a warrior only needs to hit someone with their greatsword and profit off 15+ might stacks.
You have zero clue what youre talking about. So now its both condi and power you have an issue with? I guess a 9s resistance buff on a 60s cd and a 4s MELEE immune only stance on a 60s cd is too op?
15 might stacks just off GS attacks? You do realize you have to go Strength line to even get might on crit which noone takes unless they run vanilla.

Whats funny is Power Warrior is actually Condi Warriors hard counter. Here I am crapping all over these “meta” warriors with their “meta” builds as power. Just laughing as Smash Brawler and CI negates their damage with zero power damage from their amulets. All these new kids flocking to a class they know nothing about.

The biggest general idea that I don’t understand is why ANet keeps buffing condi application and nerfing condi removal.
Condi is already the most complained about, most requested nerf in the game, and the main culprits of it can literally just bash their keyboard with their face and apply every condi in the game.
People ask for the CC and the Condi output to be toned down, and instead, ANet nerfs the direct defenses against the things people want nerfed, after recently buffing the cancer that nobody wanted buffed.
The balance team needs to be replaced, not that it’s anything new.

Me. kitten condi, I hate the playstyle, it’s unrewarding and cheese mode. Closest I’ll get to touching a LB is in a LB/GS power setup.

It’s been pretty clear for a looooooong time the devs don’t care nor listen to the community and it’s suggestions, the sooner you realize this and play the game for fun, the better off you’ll be.
This is actually wrong as of late. We might be receiving reductions after all this time, but they have listened to the community. Shout changes, revert on Smokescale, quality of life adjustments, etc.
Realize this, if anything; if you play, keep going, and don’t bring up suggestions and concerns, then nothing gets changes; for better or worse.
You seem to be doing fine, so keep playing and more power to you. As for everyone else, keep up the discussion and expressing your concerns and feedback.
Look at the Warrior forums. I mained Warrior since GW2 started with Druid on the side. Only 2 classes I’ve ever played. Countless threads and suggestions for class rebalance on Warriors. PDF documents, excel spreadsheets, graphs, the list goes on and on. The community literally in shambles and frustration for over a year, and never a response from a dev.
Then, out of ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the suggestions, great suggestions, by the community, what do they do?
They give us AH rework and still leave out weapon sets, bugs, etc etc to be fixed and left us with something to be desired. Shifting the meta YET AGAIN to stupid kitten lb/condi cheese.
Don’t sit here and try to blow smoke up my kitten .
IF they TRULY listened to the community, we wouldn’t see the constant flip flopping of the meta every season or every patch, there has never been balance. Never.

I’m sorry man, but, both of those builds are horrendous. You don’t even have Defense which includes the new AH which is basically the meat and potatoes now, not taking it would mean severely gimping yourself. Try either of these.
Build 1: Uses RR+Savage Instinct for stun breaks and heals.
Build 2: Built to sustain more condi pressure with smash brawler and Cleansing Ire

I have to agree with this thread. Playing Ranger of late is becoming a tiring experience. And I love Ranger. I played Ranger the entire time I played GW1, I’ve played it since the head start here in GW2, and these nerfs (or anti-ranged buffs) are making me want to delete mine.
Rangers are just worthless at this point in pvp. So many classes have so many abilities to just completely destroy our capacity to use ranged attacks. Near constant blocks, reflects or flat out projectile destruction just make me sit there and go “yeah, no, kill me, have fun. I can’t stop you apparently.”
Even the classes that CAN’T accidentally destroy everything we can do can just power through it and ignore it in the current meta. Rangers are becoming a frighteningly underpowered class (not even touching on how much I hated Druid’s implementation; I did not zerk for 3 years to be a magical NURSE), and I hope to see this trend end soon :/
So stop playing ranged. I play Gs/Staff and destroy. Adapt and overcome. I have tons of burst. Seriously, ya’ll act like the class is dead because we lost 1 condi cleanse, got a slight daze nerf, and pet nerfs.

When people are fighting 2/3/4+ v1 they don’t think defensively, only kill kill kill. Normally competent people make poor decisions thinking the noobs around them will help make that lonely enemy an easy kill but end up being a liability.
I wish I could play glass melee warrior, it looks so amazing ;-(

I only play Warrior/Druid exclusively, so I know how to counter one another pretty well.
It’s the metabattle build and it’s ridiculously easy to counter. Most run CI and smash brawler, so berserker is up quite a bit. I can literally stand from range on Druid and just AA them to death, the people dying are the ones trying to go toe to toe up close with lack of condi clear.
If anything Warrior is finally being the thing you don’t wanna be close to, which is how it should be, although I don’t play condi, it has it’s counters just like anything else. It is by no means OP. The majority of people crying OP even state themselves they don’t know how warriors work, or are just simply bad players that actually can’t get a free kill on us anymore when we used to be fodder.

This is what I run in wvw solo roam, I have no trouble killing anything at all, even most 1v2’s are a joke unless they are well played thieves. Staff is too good to give up. Same with Druid.
Asura can have some cool variations to animations that one can argue would be hard to spot/dodge. Which I feel to be pretty true, other than that not really imo.
Really not sure what you’re all complaining about, I’m still wrecking in pvp/wvw. Yeah the changes hurt a tad, but, everything else is being toned down too, soldier on!
I don’t really see a huge difference. I’m still doing extremely well in the spvp/wvw solo roamer setting with my shout tropper power build. I’ve played Ranger since inception, sure we have taken nerfs but I just keep soldiering on.

I honestly can’t believe these post’s around here. like seriously cc nerf? Did everybody forget that warrior was so hated that people actually dc’d intentionally or went AFK during ranked? People actually started flaming others because they used warriors but then some serious slurs and hate was thrown around. And now A-net finnally made warrior viable through to have some sustain and it’s still not enough.

Please just keep your distance. Berserkers are temporarily power-ups. It’s similar to goku’s kaio- ken. U transform for a few seconds, spam your bursts. And then u turn back to warrior with practically 2 and a half traitlines.
But then again they removed mercenary amulet another overnerf. So yeah condi builds are a lot squishyer now so there is a chance, that they now have to nerf berserker due to all the cc it throws around.
its fine for warrior to have awesome burst, its not fine for them to have awesome burst and awesome bunker at the same time, its cele ele meta all over again. There are only a couple builds most people don’t seem to know about that are outrageous IMO.

I just decided to take SB, CI, and EC. I really like the extra stability.
I still can’t decide between RR and CI, Smash Brawler and SI, and BR versus EC.
I love the healing and toughness from RR combined with savage instinct, CI is so nice to have for condi clears and adrenal gain though, and since I use Outrage/Heabutt/EP, all the extra might and stability from EC seems to be awesome, but took people down faster with taunt from BR.
I’m so confused and can’t decide, life was simpler in Vanilla.
I would run cleansing ire if you don’t know who or what you’re gonna face, i.e ussual roaming. But if you do know matchup, and said matchup is vs non condi, then you can go rousing resilliance ofc, unless you value the ethic of not swapping build based on opponent
And thoughts on EC vs Bloody Roar for solo roaming?

I try that from time to time, used to play it alongside hammer/gs religiously with bolas for immob+hb stacking inside CS. Maybe ill try it again.

Ditto. I find it fun to come up with unconventional ideas then test how they pan out.
For example, atm I’m trying out the sigils of Agility and Mischief on my bow, so that when I swap specifically to put down Combustive Shot, I’m much less likely to be interrupted. Is it good or bad? I’ll find out.

Not really. You have all these amazing videos Vaans pwning some dudes on wvw but thats is. Have you seen him in ranked/played against him? I did. I have seen him on ele, druid and rev but never on warrior for some reason?
I know i kicked his butt as well when he went to my close and dueled me with his rev vs mine. I also remember some vid of him dueling a druid (not on his channel obviously) where the druid just kited him all day long for ez kills. I have not seen this posted by him.. again, why?

- The annoying self stun needs to go, I know you want it for flavor but it is just annoying.
Yes, I know I could use stab for it but that just means choosing a trait or a utility I do not want.
I think you’re missing the bliss that IS and what makes Headbutt nice. It goes really well with RR, you self stun, allowing you to break it for a heal or toughness, it was really well designed imo.
What the weapons are really don’t matter. I can use rifle instead of longbow, and I only use my second weapon set for defense, so you can substitute any weapon sets in it’s place and be fine. I was just pointing out the general concept of abandoning the berserker trait line and taking many adrenaline related traits to achieve 100% adrenal health up time with heal amulet to achieve complete invincibility in any 1v1 situation, regardless of the other side’s build.
I would agree with your assessment. Avoid berserker line and go for high adrenal uptime and tankyness.
