if you want some consistency in 1vx you dont have many options. you will need healing stats to get plenty sustain and that will nerf your damage, and you will need either shout healing or banner regen and a warhorn for condition cleansing. luckily in wvw not a whole lot of people run condition cleansing, i have a lot of success with my build, can even fight inside enemy zergs aslong as they dont all focus me im pretty fine taking out 1 after another with a condi spike and immobilize chain (leg specialist ->flurry -> pin down). when i get damage i have options to weaken stuff around me and get vigor, burst heal me up and use sword 2 to get out of immediate danger. with my passive and active healing i can shrug off the damage of at least 1 target passively except if they run full zerker or condi glasscannon, or also just ignore most aoe damage, conditions are easily and consistently cleansed with cleansing ire, warhorn and shake it off. for 1vx id say something like my condi bunker build or maybe cleric or the equivalent of valkyrie gear with crit and hammer. though the hammer burst draws a lot of attention and you will get focused a lot more. talking strictly about soloing here, if you have a guardian buddy or something like that, you get more options for builds.
Worst advice I have ever seen. I am Hammer mace/sh and have zero issues taking multiple people at once and winning, I’ll upload me vs 3 necros and winning this week.

Well for one, they are a pain in Satans anus to get, and 2, I just wanted the extra healing since Im already good on toughness.
Just preference since I have higher tough anyways, and I get protection on hit from multiple things. They would work nicely too though
So, buildcraft still doesnt have settler gear, so I used Apoth instead. All armor/weapons are Settlers, for extra toughness, but Apoth still works just as well. I still stack corruption stacks.
However I opted for maximum protection with this build given that our pets are essentially useless, and even more so when ascended weapons hit, so, I went with…
1) 4 runes of the Groves for protection on hit.
2) 2x Dwayna runes for the extra healing and still retain the 20% regen duration coupled with Natures Bounty.
3) Vigor on healing from Vigourous Renewal for more lol protection
4) Primal reflexes for 5s of vigor every 15s for more lol protection off dodge
5) Dodging removes blind and poison ( lol )
6) Natures Protection for 5s of lol protection every 30s
7) LR for even more Vigor for more lol protection
Basically with Grove turning all your 2s protections into 3s, 4s protections into 5s etc etc.
Timed correctly in addition to Bark Skin and your foes having constant Weakness from AXE 3, it’s lolzy.

Yes for all classes. Nothing thats traited or a skill, just like armor affects a % of damage taken etc.
I believe that since Anet never plans on adding immunity timers, something needs to affect conditions and condition duration outside food/traiting.
Toughness/vitality etc or something along those lines should affect the amount of dmg conditions can do, at least the one that stack intensity.

Anet, the response time on this skill is kittening garbage. Fix it, I shouldn’t have to spam the skill so it fires off 3 seconds later after the enemy has already move from the target area.
Also, its been brought up before, if you’re using it on elevated ground, it also doesn’t work. It’s a simple game mechanic, fix it.

It was my video, and of you check the thread I added a description that I was merely showcasing sustain-and dmg with hammer. Doesn’t matter if they are up leveled or not, had I had mending or healing surge I would have dropped significantly quicker. And in the one clip I had a scout/guard on me +necro and Mesmer, up leveled or not they still do damage and I was taking none. I don’t even have any points in defense against guards. I didn’t edit anything.

I seem to have no issue beating them and I am hammer, I lack the burst but, this build is insanely easy to read. L2P and try paying attention.
As a Warrior main I thought I would put in my two-cents about this new counter meta build.
It is over powered. Straight and Simple.
It offers mobility, High damage, Strong Defenses, and Strong condition removal.
While the counter is to carry a reliable stunbreaker and stability, the amount of times you can stun an enemy compared to the actual amount of times you can use stability and stunbreakers are unequal by far.
Does it need to be fixed? I think it needs minor changes to balance it out.
I have a hard time agreeing. Warriors are a force to be reckoned with now, they offer massive pressure, and they are scary, people cant smash buttons and expect to win anymore, this game is about ability management, if you’re coming out to wvw/spvp w/o more than 1 stunbreaker, I feel bad for you son.
Its funny because in every 1v1 and 1v2 situations you NEVER DROPPED BELOW 90% health…ever. The only time when u dropped to 50% was when you had 4 people on you and still managed to get to your spawn point without any problems.
Please tell me dear sirs and madams how in the hells does this build seem balanced to you. I realise a big reason for this is healing signet and the pultry soup but come on, this kitten is broken. Between CC immunity, 550 HP/sec regen and a 4 sec stun on a 7.6sec cooldown, there is NOTHING your opponent can do about it

Well he has a point to a degree, it doesnt really matter if they are good players or not, only difference is it takes more bad players, which is 90% of wvw, to kill me then it would take a decent 2-3 good players. If there is more than 1 very good player that is coordinating with another, I am going to lose, that goes with any class, make model or build, but thats never the case, its always a group of scrubs with no coordination that try to take me out and get facerolled, such is life in GW2.

Question, what would you change for this if you were running as a group or small zerg? i dont like soldier/shout builds personally (ill leave that up to other warriors) and i already started building towards ascended cavalier (have 4 so far). I was thinking GS for the 2,3 (corpses/cleave) and 5 (mobility) or s/w for the leap and buffs?
It depends how many people you’re running with. I personally still run mace if I’m small
Manning with Tooldealer, Greyn,Aloram and other guildies, just because I’m basically a stun bot and call for stun bursts.
But as far as other small scale roaming aspects if you really want, I reccomend going sword for mobility an keeping hammer for the constant pressure and cc lockdown. You can change everything to cavalier, including weapon or even go knight on weps to break 4k armor. Hell you could even go with all cleric armor since healing power assists with Healing Signet I believe and even go banner regen spec for super tank/hilarity. You don’t have to be shout build to be supportive in a small
Man or Zerg, you could be pure dogged+lemongrass+melandru and run as pure pressure cc, tactics banner, stomp, or anything else to just make you an impossible target to take down easy and be team supportive.
There are literally 100 ways to build nowadays, I really enjoy the freedom recent patches have brought.

Yeah man, GF earlier, the few things I don’t perform well against are well played Gs mace/sh simply bc they have more burst than I during the stun, and well played regen Rangers that dabble in all condi, I simply dont have the burst w/o GS,but i still manage from time to time.
