I’m not reporting them anymore.
The economy is too kittened up, we need them.
No healers, no tanks. Don’t ask for stuff that would ruin the game.
LF2M healer and tank for hours and hours and hours and hours, no sorry, no.
This.
You want dps/tank/healer? There are plenty other mmorpgs out there for you.
Don’t try to ruin this one.
This community is pretty good, but since fractals I’m finding way more rude and obnoxious people.
I think the fractal gear grinding caters to the worst audience in the game. Also, grinding is stressing, so people get mad quite easily.
My ignore list was empty before fractals (and I pugged the other dungeons a lot). Now it’s quite long.
The best community I’ve ever seen is the LotRO one, tho. Very polite and mature.
Not a single answer.
They don’t care. Want gold? Go buy gems.
Actually, the game is amazing until level 80.
Then it’s your usual mmo (which shouldn’t have been).
I stopped playing ~4 weeks after launch. How is the population now.? . and has the game improved at all or has nothing been fixed/updated?
Game is getting worse. Some bugs are fixed, and lots of new ones are added. Populaton seems to be decreasing (just a personal feeling – I can be wrong. My guild is emptier after November 15th, tho). In any case, the world is empty since everyone is just doing FotM hoping to get lucky with the terrible rng. Also, it’s kinda the only place where to get any loot, since the stealth nerf to world drop rates. Economy is totally kittened up.
If you bought it as an alternative to the loot grind as wow and clones, you’d better stay away.

I agree. I sat around Mt. Maelstrom for a good hour or two waiting and asking for people to help clear the volcano, but there was maybe 2-3 in the zone? If there were any more they sure weren’t interested in helping or even responding…
Not every group event needs fixing imo, but I think any that directly impacts access to something relevant should be fixed. If someone is trying to get map completition or something, why should they be punished because there’s no one ever around to help them clear the event that’s always up?
If the waypoint teleport was free or, at least, much cheeper people would have came.
Absolutely not.
Now the problem is. The moment i put my title on. You get messages from other players that i NEED to play WvWvW and need to get out of the PVE content or that i m just showing my e-kitten. This is can handle and i just simple ignore them but yesterday i had a complete guild telling me that i NEED to do WvWvW as people there need me (While on TeamSpeak chatting to other commanders that they don’t need me at all.).
Did they pay for you GW2 box? Did they pay for you commander title?
Just ignore them.
It doesn’t need to be auto-join
It does.
Happened.
Impossible to report because the party chat disappears and I don’t have their names anymore.
To OP: I, and many more, share your sentiment.
They had an amazing game in their hands, and they’re destroying it piece by piece.
Still haven’t got the chest.
I’m against mounts too.
Still haven’t got the chest by mail. sigh
I have a shocking revelation: The people who complain and hate the direction took by anet with the game (ascend, grind, etc.)… is because they like the game.
Nope. They don’t really fit well in my opinion.
It is viable, until a certain level in FotM.
ya.. widespread issue.. i am sure they have gotten hundreds of reports about it already… whatever that’s worth
Hope so, this should be a top priority.
I have the same issue, it’s incredibly annoying and it costed me a few deaths.
It balances better without botters. All the botters do is create a disproportion between the rich and poor. They’d get so rich that Anet would have to design a gold sink that regular players could never afford.
No it doesn’t, after ban waves a huge inflation appeared. In my country, the gov responds to inflation by increasing the salaries. In GW2 there is inflation, but the ‘salaries’ are not increased, we still get the same money from events or selling items to merchants.
the salaries are increased. Every drop you get is now more valuable.
Porous bone are always worth 16c.
I do miss them and their support to the economy.
- Ascended gear and RNG removed
- Economy fixed
- Dusk
Nothing.
And that’s it.
Yes, it’s definitely way lower.
I used to find some every now and then at the beginning.
It’s way too soon to tell.
But surely NCSoft is trying everything they can to sink the ship.
Problem: Everypony love Twilight.
You ARE the problem of inflating price. Other precursors except dawn(another twilight) and the legend are below your 100-200g range.
This. Very few precursors are actually in the 100-200g bracket.
Some are as low as 20-30g. When people say they can’t afford a precursor, what they really mean is they can’t afford a precursor greatsword
No.
Spark is 219g
The Legend is 276g
Zap is 158g
The Lover is 166g
Obviously people are NOT going for weapons that they won’t use much or show that much, like the underwater ones or the focus.
now if only legendary weapons looked half decent for me to care. I agree with the idea tho. The day they add a staff or GS that goes nicely on a mesmer is the day i will farm/grind for a legendary.
That’s half of the problem: Only a few legendaries actually look good.
So, it’s obvious that everyone’s going for a Twilight.
Attended / No Loot / No Mail
I understand there is an alternative method for obtaining precursors being worked on “scavenger hunt”. For those of us that don’t want to wait another 6 months or however long it will take to “get it right” … I would like to propose an easier solution.
Put in an NPC with a SET price of 200 gold for two handers and 100 gold for 1 handers. If 200/100 isn’t reasonable then pick a price you feel IS reasonable for ONE ingredient in the legendary (yes, the precursor is just ONE ingredient in a long list) and PROBLEM SOLVED.
People that are fortunate enough to get one from the Mystic forge or drop will still have a sudden windfall of gold and the entire process of obtaining a legendary becomes streamlined as it should be. Win win.
Even the notoriously bad devs from Aion did this when they had no choice but to admit the market for needed Stigmas was being manipulated by a few and impacting ALL. They put in the NPC vendor selling the Stigma at a set rate and prices came down .. shocking. They were still expensive but at least you KNEW how much gold you needed.
This doesn’t lessen the achievement of getting a legendary one bit. The only thing this does is make the legendary more like a recipe (as it should be) instead of the lottery or worse yet a credit card purchase. If prices are left unchecked the only way a legendary can be viewed as an achievement is how much gold people were willing to buy.
I currently have 1,200 hours invested in the pursuit of my legendary (Twilight) … at the current pace of inflation I will never actually get ahead of the inflation curve to purchase the precursor (Dusk is over 400 gold and climbing DAILY).
Sorry, but I would like to be able to actually play the game again … instead of trying to milk every last copper out of every minute I am online.
+1
I second this idea.
It’s F2P
No.
…because there’s no vertical progression and no grind like every other mmo.
Just did a quick experiment.
Full MF gear, MF token buff, raspberry peach bars.
Farmed mobs in Cursed Shore for one hour, alternating between undeads and tar elementals.
Loot: about two dozen porous bones and ONE blue.
Yes, I’m aware that one hour is not a significant test at all.
Still, about two dozen porous bones and one blue.
I share your sentiment.
I always ask the party to kill all mobs on Jade Maw’s.
Most people don’t want to, and I don’t understand why: They can drop 2 types of lodestones and the drop rate seems pretty good (got a decent number of exotics in that map). Also, with the stealth nerf to loot outside the fractals is twice profitable.

Gandara (EU) open.
Haven’t received the mail too
i think the problem with purchasable gold is: i have money to buy on tp whatever crafting mats (precursor, named etc. etc) i need for the new stat increasing shiny before non paying people would do with the normal grind wars2.
or i think this is the issue most people have in mind about gems/gold trading
i play since the 1st of october and as far as i checked (not to often i must say) i saw only the cost of 1 gem in gold increase and never the other way around… which means if we want to address an issue here: i’d rather not to spend my hard earned gold for let’s say a new bank slot even if i really need it, but i can always buy gems and become rich and also with a larger bank (note with a new contents come a lots of things that stacks just in the bank… even if there is a different way for the same kind of items to stack… ie. candy corn, shattering skulls, passiflora, karka shells etc, they are crafting mats, but if you want to keep it you have to use bank slots, which means if i want to keep it i have to buy bank slots or destroy/selling other items… there are a lot of dungeon currencies that cannot be walleted anywhere so you have to use bank slots… and each dungeon has its currencies… a lot of space used, then there is the pvp tickets, the badge of honor, the rare mats like lodestones and we could use some free space either, for cosmetics, boosts etc etc…. are we or are we not pushed in that direction someway? at least with bank which is the only problem i have until now?)
so as far as i am concerned i don’t care about gold, about grind, about farm, but sometimes it pops in my mind:
i don’t play gw1 since 2 years now… but i know if i want to play it, my gears are still max stats, and my characters are still competitive with players playing all the time (except they are good at play and i’m not anyway)… would this be happening in gw2?
if the answer is yes, i’ll take a deep breath, go on with my slow farmville gameplay (which i keep slow because i don’t want to reduce fun with a full time online farmer job), i’ll keep fighting jormag, run events, occasionally dungeons, wvwvw and maybe even a spvp (i already have one slot in that infamous bank for tickets i’ll never use) and no one will ask me to be fully ascended to play…
if the answer is no…. that keeps me far away from new content, or party play and there are only 3 solution to the problem:
1 i grind the fun out of the game
2 i buy gold from gems
3 i invoke the release of elder scroll on line hoping i won’t have the same problem (which is unlikely because no one seems to be able to think out of the grindbox)
Very well said, I agree on everything. Bank space is a problem. Vertical progression is a problem.
I’m sorry, but the answer to your question is “no”.
Also, sadly, ESO will have vertical progression too. I’ll try it anyway ’cause its RvR seems pretty interesting.
Dungeon Finder is never a solution to create a social game. If you want a social game, get rid of the instances altogether. Instances do nothing but isolate people from the game world.
Also, if you want a social game, you want an ecology within the classes/professions. Things a class can do, that others cannot. Everquest had this in spades, which made it a very social game. A Druid and Wizard could teleport, an Enchanter could give you mana regeneration, a Necromancer could summon your corpse, a Cleric could rez you, etc. I am not sure why MMOs try to get further and further away from this.
The social aspect of your game is based around the granularity of your game design, not surface level stuff like whether it has guild options or not. If you present your world as a world that people can get lost in, instead of an amusement park with every little thing pointed out on your map, you will have a more social game. If you have a reason to interact with others because other individuals offer things you want that you can’t get yourself, you will have a more social game.
I agree with you.
But if you have dungeons in the game, you’ve got to have a proper automated dungeon finder, period.
This need to be addressed very quickly.
Not getting anything outside FotM… it’s the ONLY place worth farming now.
Same happened to us. On the first stun (75% hp of boss) no mobs spawned. Then we killed ourselves to reset the boss, but he still was at 75% and the seal was shielded again. Later he spawned a huge amount of mobs (about 10veterans + others). Then some of our partymembers decided to leave.
True, how it was before the patch was a bug, but atleast it worked. These things that are bugged but “work” should get the lowest priority in fixing.
And also: what if the boss is a bit easier. Cliffside is a pain anyway if you don’t have the right group.
This.
Thanks for wasting 2 hours of my time, anet.
. . . that’s the economy.
No.
Got the same problem.
Still bugged.
nothing which Gems can get you is severely unbalancing to the game.
Gold.
New versions of the same tier with more stats.
Actually, it’s kinda ruined by the lack of bots.
The GW2LFG site listed above is a handy tool, but we are working on something internally to improve and upgrade our group tool.
Happy to see that you guys are working on it.
Please give us a proper automated tool.
You forgot that the economy will kitten them. Impossible for new players to afford bank or inventory slots.
I bet you’ll need gems.
Well is it fun?
No.
