What about water skills, where I need to target my friends?
What about lightning’s stun field, where I am usually aiming to hit a group at a certain location?
What about when I want to drop firefield at my feet so people can use finisher’s on it to get AoE might but at a long range?
What about in WvW where I will often cast meteorshower in a central location to scare/kill people on a wall?
What about when I cast AoE fields at more then one foe? EX: Lavafont on a boss and meteor shower on many weak foes?
Honestly, switch to scepter if you want non targeted AoE, what you’re asking for is strange at best. Asking that targeted abilities (especially targeted leaps!) hit the designated spot more frequently is something I support however.

Ground targetting skills have a reason. They are usually long range, long lasting and combo fields. They pretty close to always hit 2 of the 3 (ex: Lavafont is long range and a combo field while meteor shower is long range and long lasting (5~ seconds)).
Leave it as is, just learn your staff isn’t a dodgey weapon. It’s a siege-ey weapon.
Why not make them tradable for badges? You can already get runes of balefire/sigils of ghost slaying (and possibly on the 15th dungeon armour!) as drops from dungeon chests – you can also (rarely) get cores/lodestones, so why not just add them to the token merchant’s lists?
I’m getting annoyed at this – if you die on a boss fight and respawn, the boss wipes his credit of you for getting loot or money. This is a real annoyance in AC what with the 15 silver the bossess drop on kill.
Please make it so respawning doesn’t kill your credit for bossess/enemies in dungeons. Heck, I’d go as far as to say that giving equal credit to everyone in dungeons would help a bit since you can’t really go around tagging stuff for other people to kill.

You do realize 90% of the complaints here come from 8v8 sPvP and not thiefs stealth stomping in WvW, right?
Who published the strategy guide? If it was not ANet, you should complain to the publisher.
On a side note, strategy guides for MMOs are pretty close to always a fail as stuff nearly always gets changed between beta and launch, and pretty much always gets changed after launch, invalidating the guide.

You want dynamic, add a third side to screw things up! It made the games I played that did that (on a smaller scale then WvW) work really well.
Warriors don’t need to be fixed, they are good enough until all the other classes get brought up to their level (or nerfed into the ground due to pvp imbalances).
If warriors are perfectly balance why do I basically only see thiefs, eles and guardians in sPvP?
Pande, you can right click on the gathering tool in your hero menu (H) and it’ll show you a list with the names of everyone tool you can equip. It makes sorting a lot faster.

Quickness is available to most professions.

As of right now, quickness I agree. If you spent it and stealth to get a stomp off you deserve it.
Granted I think it should be taken out in generally due to the lol’ it causes when someone’s downed. The reason people hate stealth is since thiefs have a lot of damange potential, survivability, ease of use, seeking skills, and generally easy and powerful abilities + enough stealth abilities it’s very rare they won’t have it off CD when they need to stomp.
Most classes with “quickness” don’t get multiple 3 seconds every 20 seconds. They usually get 4-5 seconds every minute or such.

I would actually like to see a freer stat system. I’m getting annoyed at being forced to take power/precision/vitality instead of power/precision/thoughness in sPvP.

Most people propose making tools have a chance to break on lower tiered tools rather then a guaranteed use. I propose adding more counters and using less on lower tiered nodes.

I’d have few problems with the thief’s stealth stomp if it wasn’t 1) a guarranteed kill that few other professions can get and 2) disabling a lot of people’s ability to use their special. I know the warrior and engineer’s only down skill disable require a target or auto MISS. So even if you’re in my face, I can’t guess fire at your like I normally could.
Also, even though I use quickness a lot for it, I’d support making it not active on stomp either.

I did, it’s 100% gone but the rest of my outfit is still there.

I was very dissapointed with the GW2 costume brawl. It’s boring, the GW1 costume brawl was the most exciting PvP match they had.
That said, the MOBA test was a great kill over until a better PvP match happens.
I equipped a set of devil horns earlier today, and it ate my witch’s hood. (The one you get for the buying the witch outfit, not the hat from MKT)
This is fairly disheartening as I liked the way the full set looked. I had a full inventory at the time, and the hat just vanished never to be seen again.
Possible to get a new witch’s hood sent to me, and for someone to test this bug out? I have the MKT outfit too but don’t want to be hatless with that as well.

I agree with this. Out of range = max range cast on second click, this way if you try to click at max range on the first click but want to move it won’t fire too short.

I do too, but I was saying he a mini permanently out as a back accessory skin. Backpack or always on mini, or backpack and clickable mini.
That or it’s own freaking slot which would be insanely easier.
Honestly. Minis should be a skinnable alternative to your backslot. That way it’s actually VISIBLE.
They stack up to 250, if I am not mistaken. They at least stack to a few since I have quite a few undead baby chickens in storage.
That said, when your level you gear generaly favors DPS extensively. My warrior was running around with 89-99% crit chance from level 20 to 40. I was a crit build, but I haven’t gotten better then 60% since. 90~% was awesome, but yes, your HP takes a huge hit.

A proposed solution to fix events for everyone.
Add a new currency.
Event Tokens. They work like regular dungeon tokens for a special “event vendor” for you being the special kind of guy who goes out and helps do events. Give 6 of these the first time that day you do an event and give 1 out after that – and make that account bound not characther bound, so people can’t just alt farm Orr.
Just to let you guys know, the two swords only appear if multiple people are attacking – unless that was change recently. It’s 8 people in total IIRC, meaning a group of 4 can usually take a point without being zerged due to no warning.

Because moral and propoganda don’t account for anything in a war – and instead of 50 nameless people, 50 glowing tags of “murderer of WvW” wouldn’t demoralize would be new comers more.
On a side note, I can’t find many notices of RB being shot down basically anywhere. Doubt he wasn’t, most aces I read about seem to get shot down 3 to 5 times on average.
He means if the “battle indicator” swords were removed, anyone who’s not in teamspeak/guild chat with the large WvW guilds would be screwed and not know where to go.

That still makes it so that it acts like a bitter help. I avoid waypoints when I can, which makes it annoying when playing with 3-4 people that want me in different locations as I’ll just use my closest alt. This is a combination and stupid and game ruining (not breaking, but it does make it less fun). There is no reason for waypoints to not be free.

They’ll add new weapons and new skills in time – waiting is probably the best, and I would prefer balancing the current weapons more rather then making a whole new slew of unbalanced weaponry and skills.

Part of that fact is since titles are in dark while they had better contrast in GW1.

I liked how MKT’s stuff from the clocktower was soul bound when it should have been account bound.
Same with siege equipment (kittening seriously I have at least 15 slots dedicated to the random crap I get from the jump puzzle), harvesting tools and, like many mentions, the halloween drop. Those shouldn’t be soul bound.

I’d never buy a key that way. Honestly, more consistent good drops or effects or STUFF would be more enjoyable. Random effects on your characther, temporary legendaries, kitten that would be fun, would make you feel less stupid for opening 1’000 and not getting a rare skin.
@Arcaneclarity : The bow is OP enough at 900, leave it alone.
This bow is a siege weapon, so the self root 4 second freeze at 900 range isn’t really horrible. Now, the freeze’s speed and ease of dodge are somewhat lack luster.

That’s weird – any damaged piece is 6 silver for me.
I’d rather they just let you fight while in them personally. That would make tonics awesome.

The really small repair fee is a tad too high when you’re in all exotics – namely, 6 silver a shot.
The real way to improve the black lion chest is to make it not drop kitteny stuff. Other then that it’s something to spend money on.
Keep repair fee as it penalizes you for dying, get rid of waypoints fee as it penalizes you for playing.
More lines of dialogue for skills please, and play them less often

Most games do include 20 hours instead of 24 hours because you might play a few hours later then normal one day and shouldn’t need to skip the next day due to that. I support this.
