Getting all rewards seems to take ~110 weeks anyway. If you get the diamond chest every week for 110 weeks you will be 4000+ easily (as long as you dont cheese the pips with some afk farm strategy).

We’ve had this issue for years and you’re just finding this out now because you want a free ride on the legendary train. How about you post something constructive and help encourage the devs to give our game mode more dedicated resources to alleviate the issue.

We all had to work hard for our 3k ranks in WvW without EOTM, so why should you get it for free………..

Thanks a bunch, still forced to play a game mode i don’t like.

Them PvE guys you speak of can actually follow a tag, in PvE if you fail an event coz you didn’t do as you were told you have to wait hours for the next attempt. I personally think PvE players will rip the kitten out of WvW players in this context.

All they need to do is make the suggested builds, listen for an afternoon and BOOM they will make WvW mainers look like window lickers.

They paid for the game ergo they do what they like within the confines of TOS.

Do you really REALLY want condis to be buffed, buffed and buffed some more and don’t forget it still needs buffing after that.

If they do even a tenth of the damage that i know they will i have one word “Crowfall”.

Yeah gonna have to agree and say Warrior, it’s pretty much a Swiss army knife of professions. Admittedly not the best but it will get you a lot of places, I’d say Guardian after that as well. Warrior is easiest to learn but hard to absolutely master.

Most other professions are too cheese heavy and those few who play in the easy to cheese professions that can play without cheese are extremely rare because it takes skill.

1- Learn the basics of commanding.
2- Make my server aggressive again.
3- Get better at commanding.
4- Get everyone to have fun.
5- Go full Korean on commanding and wreck T1 elitists.

Hmmm we have no devs in EU running in WvW. might explain a lot of the crap we see in WvW.

EU server just has crap lag for everyone right now.

A group of really good comms, they don’t command anymore so my server is just sucking balls.

I suppose it can be used as more of a general term for just point kitten.

That druid build we all know that won’t die.

While this is not particularly viable in any sense of the word it will do one thing very well for DH’s and that kitten the enemy off like they kitten us off.

But with that being said this kind of thinking could create a situation where no one dies and quite frankly that’s boring.

It can break the game for high-rank players that get targeted by enemy groups. If you’re turned into a moa 3-4 times in every fight then what is the point of playing in WvW?

This needs serious consideration for removal in WvW.

Seriously not an issue, on Piken it’s just an everyday occurrence for commanders. Our comms are hard focused quite a lot and they just get on with it. They corrupted, pulled and moa’d so many kitten times and just move on.

Just deal with it like the rest of us have.

The only difference is condis bypass all defenses once they are applied while power attacks don’t.

All defenses like resistance, -condi duration food, passive and active condi clears….

Only work while they are on cooldown and they have a HUGE cooldown where as condi’s can be applied and reapplied very easily. The biggest problem is the quick and continual application. there is only a a very small portion of people who can manage condis properly where as a large portion of people can dodge power builds and use damage mitigation easily.

All of which can be dodged, most condi application cannot be dodged because A- it’s AOE, B- Has no cast tell, C- Condi application skills can be spammed, D- Hitting the enemy gives you condi’s.

Go for the boon sharers and strong healer classes first or the rest will just stay alive, take their boons and heals and you win.

The solution is better server pairing. Anyone could see after the first day that CD quad server alliance was too strong for the rest of tier 4.

Exactly this, do not pair the top three servers, I’m from Piken and we haven’t been paired with anyone yet but it hasn’t hurt us in any way.

Simply don’t pair anyone in T1 and problem is solved, why should 1 server who was at the bot now be number 1 coz they are paired with the number 1 server. bring all the lower tier servers together to match the T1 in numbers and you’d get more even fights.

Roaming is dying due to these troll builds and the lack of entertainment in fighting them.

Well if we can collectively agree to not fight them and make sure they know why then they’ll just give up no the builds if they want fights.

As Exciton said CC virtually pointless if they see what class you are they can quickly switch out for stun breaks. This is the one build i genuinely have trouble with fighting and have come to the conclusion it’s just better for my mental health to let other people chase it down and loose their minds in map chat.

Can someone post this really tanky druid roaming build that uses Bristleback and Smokescale.

Every druid i whisper is either ehem “offline” or won’t give it up, I’m trying to understand it better so i can have a chance at killing them or should i just not bother. I’ve seen up to 4 people chase one down and it just walks off laughing and the guys chasing it are some of the better players around. It’s just really frustrating having little to no chance against a build that can’t be beaten coz it’s so tanky with pets that do all the damage. I’m on a glass cannon build and the ranger hits me for less than 1k on rapid fire so i know it’s on very tanky gear.

I can see people abusing this by repairing siege as it’s being bombed by an elementalist or two, you’d never be able to effectively counter siege ever again.

Only way this could work if both the siege is not being manned and has not fired for X amount of time and the same for player in combat or you will experience the above problem of people repair tanking on siege.

We already have near invulnerable siege with certain buffs making seiging near impossible as it is or at least creating an insanely long stalemate which bores the attackers and they just leave.

So after some checking it seems the low tiers have the better roamers now i need to decide which server to join that is most likely to be up against the other servers with good roamers.

I keep hearing maguma has good roamers, if a bit rude and salty buti don’t really care about abuse thrown at me.

So i’m going to create an account on NA to do some roaming as i hear the roamers are of a higher calibre than EU where as our zergs/guilds are better so i want to make the best of both.

What tier or server is best to join for roaming and small group play ?.

Yes i do but i would make a more realistic request of bringing the old map systems back like blooblust, the old upgrade system so people care if garrison flips and remove the middle event of fix it.

Asking for the old maps back will only server to annoy Anet, not bring them around to our way of thinking, we have to meet them half way.

Tested it and it work.

I think I knew which one this is.

I hop they fix it with the next week patch as – if they do not – it will be also scoring manipulation from next week tuesday onwards, i.e. something bannable according to ANets code of conduct.

Would be to bad if from the few remaining WvW-player some had to be banned for using this exploitable bug.

With PPK this is only going to be more widely used.

This concerns me alot more as there are servers who will gladly promote the exploitation of this bug, i won’t name names but all know which ones will do it and i hope it becomes reportable in the form of right clicking that person in the combat log and report for ingame violation.

The fact i don’t get loot is ther most annoying thing when PPK isn’t enabled, i live solely in WvW and loot pays for my food.

Anet we’re sick and tired of being stuck in blue corner week after week, it’s near impossible to defend, too easy to be perma camped and ganked. Now all we have to look forward to is being camped outside our keep by FSP as they continue to fight under seige all god kitten week while the comm focus all day and use two dragon banners on us. YAY so much fun Anet………..

Seriously it’s coming on 6 weeks in a bloody row Anet.

1-No reason to defend anything because it upgrades itself at no cost.
2-Solo roaming just isn’t viable and has no impact on the matchup.
3-The maps are “hard” to traverse but a pain in the kitten no one enjoys.
4-It’s pushed most servers to play only on EB which is getting extremely boring.
5-Home border defense community is dead and we had a great one with 15 people on all the time having fun with so much to do and coordinate, that’s now totally gone, see point 1.
6-A long list of bugs, glitches and simple stuff that has not been addressed, fixed or even acknowledged.

Alot of these problems can be fixed with some simple changes to allow every server easy travel across the map by opening up the waypoints in Fire, Air and Earth keep if you control it and upgrade it, bring back the old upgrade system using badges or gold and get rid of the centre map event and make it a viable area for guilds to GvG (i hate guilds myself but it’s unfair not to give them something they might want).

We’re not allergic to change we just don’t like change for changes sake.

So basically we’re now stuck on a TS server with our guild and only our guild coz we can’t afford the extra 200+ slots and getting a non profit license is extremely difficult, which one of the 3 guilds has to get a 300+ slot server in each alliance, will these alliances last causing TS servers to go unpaid/unused.

If you go with this Alliance system and scrap the servers you will kill all communication required to play WvW effectively, Voice comms are vital NO IF’S NO BUTS there is no way you can dispute this on any level even with your squad system, commands have to be issued lightning quick to wipe a blob/guild or you WILL DIE.

Without Teamspeak you WILL kill this new version of WvW before it even starts coz we can’t afford 300+ slot servers. 300 users is roughly 100 dollars a month not including all the spare slots you’d need for the extra members of the alliance so you’d realistically be looking at 500 slot server at roughly 150 dollars a month, are you going to pay for this because expecting one guild to pay for an alliance is bloody unreasonable. What if an alliance falls apart what then?, do we all shut the server down and loose money because of your ill concieved alliance system or will you reimburse us ?.

the Alliance system will kill WvW OUTRIGHT, no if’s no buts.

Best fights were had on home borders with epic defenses of hills, garri or bay. I remeber one fight with AR and BB lasted 6 hours in Garrison with my guild EXE and another guild ONYX, ONYX played thier god kitten hearts out as they aren’t seen as a good fighting guild but crist they they pulled some serious determination out of nowhere and my guild just broke out the loot sticks and went to town, each of our 20 man groups were busting blobs inside a Garrison turned to swiss cheese with supply or siege.

Now we’re just stuck in EB coz no objective have any personal worth, even the scouts who tell us Garri is sieged now don’t care, they only come in to tell us as a courtesy to see if we want loot.

Only one server i see doing good out of this and this is a predictioni made months ago was Baruch Bay because of thier guilds running 15-20 men at all times in 1 or 2 groups and sometiems up to 4-5 groups which no server can competewith in terms of coverage, now they’ll be the first to admit at how terrible at fighting they are but because of the social dynamic within thier server they are rising to top spot.

Our server and many others can’t break this mentality and Anet will do nothing either.

I am amazed that no company hasn’t carbon copied Gw2 WvW with it’s class mechanics, maps, siege and combat etc because if they did and they listened to the community and did as we asked WvW would be only played by people wanting to level in Gw2. I would even be happy to pay a small sub if it meant i get a high qaulity version of Anets WvW because Anets WvW is no longer a quality product.

Yeah gonna miss you to Bamby and gonna miss Piken when i do finally loose my temper and leave the game, Piken has become an awesome place to be, apart from Ash guild it’s porbably the best community around, lost of fun, jokes and even some touchy feeling hippy crap.

As much as i would liek to supportall these great ideas and solutions that the community has come up with I’m afraid we’re flogging a dead horse.

Anet will do what Anet wants and it’s as simple as that, I’m already looking for a new RvR gamemode in an MMO to play but they are all so bland with very boring combat that involves sieging for over half a day with huge ability cast times.

I honestly think Anet are actually being maliscious at this point with thier complete lack of involvement with the WvW community, thier consistant dismissal and ignoring of solid ideas from people who acutally play the game mode. They have to make a conscious disiscion to do what they do because it can’t be by accident they do the EXACT OPPOSITE of what we want every time.
