role back the patch to before stab changes, listen to your community, stop cherry picking crap that makes you look good and stop burying valid complaints about your quite frankly woefull community support.

There are MMO betas i’m playing with the capacity to handle greater numbers in one area than you god kitten awful server provider.

You’re killing the one part of the game you’re playing up with a new map and you don’t even see it, your company is like a child with it’s fingers in it’s ears going lalalalalalalala.

GROW UP and fix your game, coz in comparison to every other game i play (of which they are varied and many) your company is by far the most dismissive, disrespectful, inept and incompitent i’ve seen so far, even EA’ handling of Battlefield 4 is better than yours of any problem in this entire games history.

you made an amazing game now do us the courtesy of fixing it while we continue to dump more money into your gem store, Which btw is a form of support and not a license to do what the hell you want. We invested money in your game now it would be nice if you treated us with the same respect you treat your share holders.

Don’t fight thieves, simply put unless you are a better thief or a medi guard you’re wasting your time.

Anet have no clue how to balance a game to a point where it’s player skill beats player skill not one class beats all.

1-Are you going to adress stuff that is importanthere and now and not several months away.
2-Are you going to attempt to fix the skill lag up to 10 seconds.
3-Are you going to change your game server provider as they clearly run of woefully inadequate hardware as most other mmo’s fair alot better.
4-Will you for the first time since release actually listen to your community, interact with and NOT cherry pick everything that makes you look good and bury everything that makes you look bad.

Everyone i know who is playing WvW on my server is experiencing MASSIVE skill lag, Map chat and Teamspeak are full of nothing but complaints about 5-10 second skill lag from different people everytime, approaching primetime and when primetime hits it’s either 10 seconds skill or no skills/weapon swaps work at all.

Can we please get some kind of rolling update on your progress for a fix, not just a single solitary “The developers are aware of it” in a completely unrelated post. Alot of people i play with just refuse to raid now, commanders don’t want to tag up and our server’s primetime is empty.

Please for the love of god stop ignoring us and dismissing us, we only ask for updates and your help but this is making you more and more unpopular.

GG now why not try and fix something we care about, like i dunno the 5-10 second skill lag most of the people on my server complain about in map chat and on teamspeak, there isn’t a minute that goies by when someone different complains.

Well whenever the lag comes i hear mention of stress tests from several people in the beta.

Seriously why are you running BETA stress tests on the same physical server as the rest ofthe game, again it’s completely unplayable for most ofthe people on my server and no this is not an assumption, i’ve just hoped to each border channel on TS and everyone in each channel is complaining about.

Seriously guys comon stop doing this.

PPT score is basically determined by coverage, and most of times there’s 0 things you can do about it.

Fights, in the other hand, can be unpredictable and exciting, no matter how disparity the numbers apparently can be. As Coldtart said, if you play for the fun the choice is obvious.

My server has beaten enemies thatfar outnumber us over and over again because we play PPT correctly and crush them in fights. you’re talking total crap.

Mid to high silver, any server is ok as it’s not what server you join but what servers you face.

Go into gold league servers and you’ll be blobbed and mobbed where ever you go.

I’m from piken and at the moment i’d say roaming isn’t as good as it could be just coz of the population of the enemy servers.

Skill casts are over 5 seconds if they cast at all

Nearly 200 people in one TS spread across several channels over many countries are complaining about this so please don’t blame our internet for this one Anet like you are have been so happy to do in the past.

This the first time my server has had the chance to play against SFR in europe and the match up is being ruined by the worst lag i’ve ever seen.

One of the worst game engines i’ve seen, poorly optimised and poorly designed.

In WvW at the moment my entire server is complaining about extreme skill lag on our teamspeak server and by extreme i mean 5 or more seconds for any skill to activate, half of them won’t even cast and weapon swapping can take 10 seconds assuming it swaps at all.

Several videos and discusions and found it’s the FPS drop is because of the UI, which in the past has been proven to drop FPS, when removing the UI completely the avg FPS increases by a alrge margin, why has Anet not properly intergrated the UI into the game rather than it being a shoddy overlay.

Thanks for ruining the match up we were so looking forward to.

Still useless outside of roaming/dueling or maybe a cheese focus party at a push.

Ranger = Roaming.
Warrior = Roaming, Blobbing and everything else.

Rangers are one trick ponies.
Warriors are swiss army knives.

Silver league is heaven for roamers from what I can tell. Not too blobby, not empty and the individual players are not bad mannered.

1- Mass a zerg/Grow a pair
2- Disable Golems
3- Stack behind portal
4- Drop viel
5- Push out
6- Necro bomb the golems
7- Repeat until golems are dead even if most of you die as the enemy most likely lacks the supply to build anymore siege on gate.

We delete golem pushes and other sieging by growing a pair and going out the portal screaming YOLOSWAG360NOSCPOEZ1337BLAZE and we usually win or atleast take out so many people they don’t come back. We are not playing Call of Duty after all so no one cares about your Kills/Deaths.

Go nuts.

I tried posting and got a ban, i’d be carefull how you word stuff and don’t poke your finger at any server, group or individual. you can reported and banned for that.

Just keep submitting reports for each individual occasion they cheated even if it’s 4/5 times a night as technically they are unique incidents. if enough of you issue reports that are true with enough details (screenshots and videos are not admissable) such as time, place, what toon you were on and the username of the cheater you should get them done but Anet will never perma ban them as they can lie say someone stole his/her account. Max suspension is roughly 2 weeks i think but good luck.

I did the same along with many others from my server and the cheater has not been punished yet. Best you can do is find a very aggresive commander with a tonne of siege golems and go reset all thier stuff in the morning as punishment and just keep it all tier 1 and then message every person from his server you see and tell them why you hit them so hard and that you will focus them all week and forget the other server even if it costs you your victory, we did that and eventually they got the message to leave us alone.

Still broken, EB is inaccesable for all three servers.

Smaller server E.G most of the server are gonig to struggle to populate all these maps, home border, enemy border, EB and now this new map. did you consider the servers like vabbi or wsr etc who have no chance of covering these.

Now the 4/5 MASS blob servers will absolutely destroy everyone, you’re stretching allready struggling servers at the moment. you’re gonna kill you’re game in wvw at this rate.

So about 11pm UK time EB had a mass disconnect for Piken, Baruch Bay and Gandara. a few hours later and we’re still unable to access the map.

Can we get an ETA on a fix/reboot.

Not that it’s a prblem coz BB are blobbing us at the mo and it’s actually makingl ife a little easier.

On this engine you’re having a laugh, it can’t even balance the load between CPU and GPU let laone to DX 10 not to mention DX 11. it’s an unoptimised and horribly bugy mess with no real back end you actually change without redisigning the whole engine.

So we have a cheater in our match up, just watched him teleport into towers and take them in the blink of an eye while no camps were held/taken so he had no supply to do it, he then done it to another border and eternal battle grounds in a few minutes. the server he plays for knows this but can’t do anything.

So when is Anet going to fix this coz he just basically won the match up for them unless we can claw this back by some miracle or we get a cheater of our own.

Yeah the best classes are probably gonna be a perma stealth thief slapping wallsas the enemy caps and dire/tank nade engi who is gonna famr the mobs outside he’s tower and then wp, wait for them to be wiped and profit..

SEE ANET, SEEEEEEE.

I like the idea of having people posted up in towers to defend. This may be a fun part of the WvW experience for some players, and having a need for defenders would allow people who enjoy this style of play to form organized groups/networks of their own that can work with commanders.

It’s not a good idea coz i havn’t met one person who actually likes scouting, or defending a tower all day long, the only reason that people do do it that i know is becuase no one else will, they constantly complain about having to do it because they feel obligated and it’s not fun and they are absolutely right, those of us that don’t scout appreciate those guys and we let the mvent thier frustrations, we love our scouts who move around the map checking on crossedswords to see if it was tagged or being sieged.

Most of the people i know in WvW are seriously considering just giving up because Anet clearly don’t give a rats butt about opions or informed suggestions from people outside the small out of touch group they seem to us as a focus group, the people who think (or don’t as the case may be) of these WvW changes quite frankly need to stop being so bloody lazy and do something with WvW other than a lazy change any moron could suggest.

You’re supposed to be intelliegent and well educated human beings, act like it.

1-You have to have some poor guy locked inside a tower/keep all day and he gets ZERO rewards for it as he can’t participate in the PPK.

2-It’s a lazy solution to a problem that doesn’t exist.

3-It promotes karma training.

4-There are no rewards for people who follow the enemy blob.

5-It benefits the server with the largest population ONLY, no one else coz everyone else would just give up after reset day and the weekend.

6-No seriously how lazy a game change is this?.

7-Night shifts will suffer the most and just give up, for example FSP without fail at about 3/4 am run a 20 man group with a few golems, it takes a bit of doing but you can suually keep your garrison with a bit of effort, now it’s gone coz you couldn’t react to a keep not being scouted at 4am coz lets face, even Burk needs sleep (love you Burk).

8-It’s soooooooooooooooooooooooooo lazy.

Say yes or no if you think this is a good idea.

Make the contested objective (Crossed swords) an upgrade like 2nd worker or reinfoced doors, this way you encourage scouting and quick offensive responses to objectives being taken and swift supply denial to slow/halt the crossedsword upgrade, this would create more tension and oppotunities but in a small window. Then when the upgrade does come online the server has earned it’s advantage with that upgrade.

So it’s obvious no one wants to scout a tower/keep until the end of time because lets face it, it’s kitten boring.

Have the best of both worlds, make Crossed swords an upgrade (maybe a T2 upgrade after walls or worker) as this would promote good scouting habits but not suck the fun out of the game, would also get people thinking about lightly sieging a tower/keep before commiting to larger more costly upgrades.

Completely agree, all but my PvE build run these traits no matter what and it’s limiting our builds. you don’t run these traits you’re dead and do alot less damage.

To be honest warrior needs a complete rework from the ground up, it’s recieved so many nerfs and trait shifts that it’s only one round of nerfs and trait shifts from being completely unusable outside the hammer train.

PvT armour + Melandru runes + -40% condi duration food.

This Zerker meta has to end. It has killed the diversity too long. This game has such a unique build system, and you should truly be able to play how you want. However, unless you have a pre made, then people will kick you. Start building your toon the way you want to!

Play some WvW then you can moan about balance. Balance in PvE is laughable. you can make any dumb as balls build and it’ll work aslong as you can apply your face to a keyboard, I’m not a PvP elitist as i played PvE for over a year before doing PvP so i know how easy PvE is.

[EDIT] Also you don’t have to be a zerker to look like one, they can’t check your gear. justl ie to them and have zerker appropriate utils and weapons, they won’t know any better.

Hammer is more for PvP due to it’s control as mentioned above.

Greatsword is more DPS/Mobility which is exelent for PvE and PvP.

The choice for most people would be the greatsword coz of it’s huge DPS and the ability to map travle with it in PvE.

Can anyone link me a few youtube videos aimed at teaching someone from the ground up about warrior, i ask because up until recently i’ve been roaming alone or following pug groups but never really learning how to play warrior correctly. I quite frankly suck and i’m post level 500 in WvW ranks.

Basically need to relearn warrior right from the start, I run two builds in WvW when i raid with my guild and they are the tanky shout frontline hammer sword/warhorn and the zerker destroyer greatsword axe/shield (sometimes hammer). My builds do what they are designed to do are not the problem as my theory crafting is solid. My biggest problem is correct movement during a fight, knowing what to use, when and why.

I not long joined a new guild and transfered with them and i don’t want to run the risk of being asked to leave or being side lined if they improve and i can’t keep up. I’m only really intrested in gameplay guides on youtube with good break downs/analysis of fights etc.

Any help would be really really appreciated.

This is a player problem not a game problem. If a server has a huge number of players that play only wvw only, pve only, or wvw and pve, it’s not up to Anet to moderate how a player choose what they do in game. If your server gets matched up against these sorts f servers then it’s your bad luck.

I play both wvw (though less so) as well as wvw. Are you saying that Anet should decide how I spend my time?

No i’m not, i’m suggesting that if you intend to play WvW then there should be a seperate set of servers for it so server pop like it is in the current system doesn’t decide your servers strength. Then the mega server system handles PvE stuff because mega servers have made what server you chose to play on redundant and only impact WvW and arena based PvP.

So today my server is fighting Abbadons mouth and Riverside which run nothing but zone blobs in most of the maps at any one time, this is something our server cannot fight plain and simple.

This can be fixed by seperating the server you represent and PvE, with the introduction of megaservers etc there is no reason to rep or choose a server. if they are seperated then WvW servers population can be managed alot better giving each server fairer spread of players.

It’s silly and quite frankly lazy to not seperate the populations of WvW and PvE, for example if you go to Aurora Glade it’s PVE population is absolutely HUGE but no one plays WvW, those who do on AG are stuck with sticking on a server that looses not due to skill but just numbers.

Seriously needs to be fixed and Anet know they can if they put the effort in. pretty sure they have the server infrastructure to do this and with minimal cost it’s possible.

It’s just frustrating going into gold league and immediatly being pushed out and then back in again because the gold server just blob, which lets be honest has no connection to skill.

ADDITION: I’ve tested “Empowered Illusions” in the Domination trait line and it adds no extra damage to Phantasms attacks (I think it just buffs shatter damage) so i changed it to “Signet Mastery” instead to reduce “Signet of Ether” cooldown from 35 seconds to 28 seconds which seems a bit more in line with the Phantasm builds.

Thanks for the reply guys, slightly different takes on essentially the same concept. Glad to see two builds with GS Staff and GS S/P. I preffer Sword/Pistol but i know how much damage the staff phantasm does and it hits likea truck.

I’m looking for a PU based Phantasm build that is geared more toward keeping phatasms up and attacking while i focus on the PU side before i transition into PU Shatter build.

Obviously 6 into Chaos is required but i want to maximise the damage/hp of my phatasms while having a good amount of stealth available to me. I would also like this build to centre around Signet of Ether if possible as i’ll be keeping phatasms up instead of constantly generating and shattering.

Any help or links to solid builds i can adapt would be greatly appreciated.

Sadly there is no endgame in this game, i tried WvW for several months and got bored with badly balanced classes and a neglected gaming enviroment.

This game will be dead soon when a new set of free to play MMO’s come out and quite frankly it deserves it if it’s not able to recognise it’s fundamental problem, the devs simply refuse to do ask the community asks over and over and over and when they claim they do they actually don’t and more often than not balls it up. Not to mention the several skills across all proffesions that are still in a broken state.

This is why i gave up and went back to toher games, Guild Wars 2 is stale, boring, unimaginative, out of touch, imbalanced and worst of all neglected where it counts.

Have we had any word from the devs at all or is this a futile excersise?.

The following problems have been happening in WvW, sPvP and PvE.

These problems have been ongoing for over a year and some of us would like an official response on a fix date assuming a fix for these skills is even in the pipeline, Living world is nice and all but if the core mechanics of the game are broken then all the shiny things are shadowed by the broken stuff we have to put with.

Illusionary Leap is a bit pants to be honest with it’s inconsistant and unreliable behaviour, it’s biggest issue is the fact that it gets trapped or bugged on uneven terrain, terrain which to most of us looks fairly level and flat.

I propose Illusionary Leaps clone appear at the target instead of travel with a small channel time and reasonably easy to see channel animation. This would fix it’s buggy and quite frankly extremely unreliable mechanics as a gap closer compared to any other proffesion’s gap closers, All of which work….

Would also be nice if Blink was more consistant aswell in this respect aswel.

If you meet some lame roamer and fleeing seems impossible just stand still and let him kill you. He can’t even put video in youtube.

I do this Vs thieves, i see them and just stop moving/reacting or just auto walk somewhere. they get an empty hollow kill and i don’t end up in their youtube video. My best counter to a thief is to pretend they don’t even exist. If you don’t engage them or aknowledge their existance they get bored and leave the map, this in my books is a win.

I didn’t pick any of them up, i chose 2 ascended peices instead. i like useful stuff with good stats, not some horrid looking weapon everyone else now has.

I don’t get why people would engage you more than once if they know you’re uncatchable. As a warrior i don’t engage engi or thieves as i just get kited and burned down with conditions.

People need to understand that you cannot win every fight and choosing your battles is half the fight fought already.
