Arenanet realized that dragons make up for crappy bossfights and players don’t like them, because they don’t have personalities, so the try to save the situation with the LS.

The creative charr race likely made their new Fort Kinar (ranik backwards) on the top of the ruins, and demolished the rest, like they did with Nolani.

Charr should want to colonize Orr.

Ascalon is landlocked. If the Charr took over Orr, they will be able to open up ports and begin ruling the seas.

And why would the charr want that place? Also, that’s the ancestral human land. If charr would ever show a little interest, then let’s claim Ascalon from those hypocrite kitties claiming Ascalon because “ancestral land”.

I don’t see why would any of the races claim Orr. It’s out of their reach and humans are clearly the heirs of that land. I’m not saying Kryta, but humans as a race. No races claimed LA after the flood, but pirates.

Yes the pact helped to take back the land. That’s their job! After they’re done, they will move on, leaving behind the ancestral holy human ground. I guess charrs won’t travel a half continent through branded and Palawa’s armies to claim a land starting a war with humanity. Norns are too far to care. Pale tree is not a conquerror and asuras got brain to know why they shouldn’t claim that land.

under fun Helseth likely means that we are stuck with conquest because you are pushing that to be an e-sport, rather than giving us an MMO PvP with variety of gamemodes.

It has a progressive feeling, has many gamemodes, you don’t always need huge maps, the final map is a real goal, and we only need 1 Que to join for it so it’s not splitting the community

But you should allow solojoin, too. We don’t need rating for it, so people won’t get that mad for a loss, thus having more actual “fun”, therefore splitting solo and team que isn’t necessary.

Deathmatch with no healers/prots would just be an 5v5 man-DPS-Rush.

There wouldnt even be plays with walls and knockbacks because of the easy access to stability.

Then teams with that kind of thinking suffer. There’s no way they’re gonna win with that kind of attitude.

Everyone’s going to treb with no one capping? Ignoring orbs to wait for that chance to stomp a downed enemy? A thief competing with a guard for that best defender title? I can’t take that kind of mentality. Can you?

As I said, these are just additional leaderboards. At the end of the match, what matters most is the “best player” LB, which is dependent on your wins, which you won’t be getting any if your team’s all zerging around mindlessly.

And you’re worried that “it would be all about time invested”? So you prefer those people who are sitting at the top 10 in LB with an 11-0 record, who might just recently played in PvP, and might as well return to PvE ‘cause there’s no way they’re going down anytime soon?

I personally would never grind it, but if just 2 or 3 guys from my team are grinding it, then I’m kittened and will lose rating, assuring I get more of these kind of guys.

Btw earlier I was thinking of a “Best trebber” thing :P But realized it’s nor working.

It took them a half year to make a barely working matchmaking and a lader, I don’t think we need more ladder investments.

Yeah, with 10 matches you shouldn’t be able to be rank 1 on the LB, that’s a rating-system fault. But under time-investment I was speaking about requiring 0 skill just time to grind.

The voice acting is definitely a success. Her look, reasons and background and everything else is just a joke.

Another fail by the writers. When will they realize that not only 8 years old play this game and we aren’t fine with ‘ah she is the best of bests who knows everything and is the master of everything’ kind of villain with a Scooby Doo feeling while being a total copy.

That’s totally true. But you should still star with hotjoin, learning your class and enemy classes/spells, learning maps and secondary mechanics, and then go tournies to improve. The problem is people stuck in hotjoin forever. After r40 it’s just too late for them to start it.

Had an r61 thief in my team 1 week ago (soloque), I needed 1% to rally (elixir akittens best), he was autoattacking with dual pistols standing on me for roughly 5 secs without pressing that “F” key.

Yeah turning the game into even more chaotic is what we need. r10 teammates nuking us with AoE skill if the enemy isn’t enough. Teamfights that last for 3 seconds and only bunker stay alive.

Epidemic would be useless, wells useless any kind of AoE useless, elite skilss the worst joke and 90% of weapon skills -> trash.

@BrunoBRS, personally the only dragon i want to see is Primordus.

Because if done properly, this can give the feeling of awesomeness. Imagine: you are underground, cornered in a tunnel system with dwarven ruins and boiling lava, you hear battle raging everywhere, destroyers against dwarves and players.

A moment of peace ends when you hear the scream of destroyers and they start to flood in, you’ve got nowehere to run, flames fill the dark caverns. Awesome.

10 arcane powder, 1 arcane sliver, 1 arcane orb and 1 consumable token. The unidentified dye itself is account bound, but if you open it you can sell it. So it’s totally luck based.

In soloque it would help a lot. We definitely need a chatbubble above the character’s head for /Teamchat so even in combat your instructions are clearer.

A 3 sec war stun without stunbreaker for example gives the chance to write “get midbuff”/“disengage” and other short things. But in a teamfight you don’t focus that much on chat.

Also a sound effect when someone puts a red circle on the minimap would be useful too. I bet I’ve seen that somewhere.

And yeah I’m still waiting for magic to return to the world and some fantasy too.

Oh and a threat we don’t defeat with helicopters submarines and megalasers.

I do agree that the Asura technology is a little out of place.

Charr stuff is at least acceptable to a point. That sort of unpolished, early industrial stuff makes sense.

But Asura tech, that’s just crazy. Especially since you take the primary antagonist of the entire story thus far (Zhaitan) and literally just blast him in half with a laser mounted on a flying ship. It’s hard to take anything else in the world seriously from a lore standpoint when there are Death Stars flying around the world.

Basically GW2 IS an awesome game. It’s just that PvP is totally unfinished. Like 80% is missing. And devs think it is fine. And we need only 10-20% more.

I would really love it if people would stop trying to cram GW2 into their idea of what fantasy or sci-fi is and just let them tell a story and enjoy the ride.

IMO, GW2 is refreshing and does a great job of mixing both traditional fantasy with steampunk culture. It’s unique and fun and finally something new after years of the same ol’ thing.

They aren’t mixing it, that’s the problem. They are putting myths to the past and technology to the present, and the players feel like old remanants of history that don1t belong to the game.
