GW1 had GvG which required skill, coordination, practice and a good team.

Everytime guys stuck halfway between PvE and Pvp claim their zergfest a GvG I lose a bit of faith in humanity…

Ok, then Logan runs back because Jennah calls him. He doesn’t know the exact situation, only how Jennah described it to him (if she did). If the charrs die in the prison but Ebonhawke finally falls, their mission is accomplished. They are charrs, duty is #1. So they took high risks with setting them free.

Well, today when watching the ESL stream a developer (I can’t use names because I would get infracted again) on chat said that they are watching feedback and the community might try a petition for in-game observer mode for top-rated Team Arena and Solo Arena tournaments and let’s see if there is a desire.

Wouldn’t it be awesome to watch top matches without hunting for stream on twitch? To watch the part of the action you care about? It would be easier to spot top teams/players too and a chance for unknown ones to shine. (ofc with a 10-15 mins delay).

Arenanet can still keep organized tournaments for shoutcasters.

I know the most important things for the community are currently more gamemodes (not too high chances unfortunatelly) / better rewarding (already at work) / skill reveisions, but this is accomplishable at least.

Also, what e-sport doesn’t have it?

game mode variety is limited by the fundamentals of the combat system. devs have said as much before. things like no energy (which contributes to elites on 1+ minute cooldowns) and no healers (greatly reduces teamfight time) prevent team deathmatch modes from lasting long enough to mean anything.

A midfight can last for 1-2 mins. Do you need more for a deathmatch? We need a mode to just ‘chill out’.

I don’t get why you are limiting it to important characters. Flame and Frost might not have killed important characters, but it killed and displaced a lot of Charr and Norns. Not to mention it was a huge attack on Charr/Norn areas. So I don’t get where you’re getting the ‘bad stuff only happens to humans’ thing from.

F&F consequence: some wounded farmers for who we must find new houses in Southsun.

While for example the death of Theo Ashford, (another dead Ascalonian, it’s their favourite thing to kill off within humanity because GW1 people got feelings tied to the humans in Ascalon) triggered other events, basically an election.

I don’t worry a bit about other races because I know they will be fine, only humans can get hurt.

They should focus more on the MMO/PvP player, not the 1% involved in e-sports. Because soon only that 1% will stay.

If you don’t want to split your community, please devs, seroiusly think about bringning in a Heroes’ Ascent type of gamemode from GW1: would only need 1 que and would still have tons of maps and gamemodes and winning could actually have a meaning Some new gamemodes or some old as reworked, and add a solojoin option. Well we already know of a “water” dragon, the deep sea dragon/bubbles which I think is located in the unending ocean (if I’m not mistaken?) and a nature related dragon, the jungle dragon/Mordremoth, probably situated in the Maguuma Wastes, so I think adding one for the Echovald Forest and one for the Jade Sea would make it a bit redundant.

We only know that their structures didn’t last. But considering the stone age technology that they still used in GW1, that isn’t a surprise. But it’s only been 250 years for humanities structures to fall into disarray. lets see what happens in 1500 years.

On grawl: they are supersticious. But they are thinking beings. We as PC’s even take jobs from them multiple times.

We have no details of who inhabited the land that is orr, before humanity got there. Forgotten were in the area but that never means no one else is. grawl are in plenty areas that other races inhabit.

The most optimistic charrc speculation can have a 200 years leeway, but can be even 1,000 years for humanity.

Again wrong. The humans have the right by their law. If the other races give a kitten about this law is not important, but they better do out of respect. Well it will be interesting to see humans claiming Gunnar’s hold, + an asura underground city + the tunnels below Ascalon. But I think that’s just the slice of the pie, being able to control the underground tunnels, for example between the Black Citadel, ofc isn’t that important at all.

You think there are less minerals and artifacts below the ground? Btw I don’t know what kind of resources are you talking about in Orr that other places don’t have.

And again. What kind of trade routes are you talking about and why would humans block their allies? An alliance is built on trust. Taking away the ancestral human land, then what right do the charr have for Ascalon?

Orr only has orichalcum and other high-end materials because that is a high-end zone. Just like Frotsgorge Sound.

And btw I was thinking about the Krytan navy too for some months ago. Now there’s the sea of sorrows book, and Kryta clearlys had a navy huge enough to set a blockade to the pirate LA. There’s an area west to LA which is unaccessible to players. What if that too belongs to Kryta and has some harbors? I know there are some tengu guards and a door leading there from LA, but the dominion of winds clearly ends on the southwestern side of the undiscowered region.

Maybe that door only servers to show that the Tengu still exist.

Guys seriously, who would they trade with? Only more humans are out there, and the those humans never traded with other races and would probably dislike the idea of the holy grounds of Orr are run by “unworthy” races. And with other threats and a fragile union between the races, who would be so dumb to claim it from the humans? As I said, it’s like humans claiming the far shiverpeaks or charrs the depths of tyria after Primordus is gone. I’m sure thar’s full of asura and dwarven artifacts too.

There are 3 groups trying to claim it: the thief that tried to break in and murder the family, the guys who helped tidy the house, or the relatives.

Who would you give it to? Give the belongings to the family and just sell the house?

The Mouvelian calendar was established way back when Guild Wars was first being created. At that time, we had no idea we’d ever be doing Living World content like we are now. We’ve decided that we’re going to change the Mouvelian calendar to a 365-day year. Here’s the official in-game asuran announcement:
“Friends and fellows. Due to recent (amazing!) reasoning by scholars of the Astronomagical Society, we are pleased to announce that we have added the five hidden days to our calendar year! That’s five extra days we’ve recognized for you to advance your work before the annual review. Gifts and gratitude are unnecessary. We merely acknowledged them officially; we did not create them. May all your projects be almost as successful as ours.” — Mikk

Totally pointless thing to do by Arenanet and I really really can’t see why they had to do this. And btw 5 Tyrian days = 15 hours.

So I want Halloween every 46 days, because 1 day to us is 8 days to Tyria.

If Arenanet did this, that’s exactly the reaction they wanted “It’s happening!” “No it isn’t, this can’t be true, idiots!”.

No one will force you to “loot and plunder ancient human artifacts and use/sell them”, “demolish temples, split up the land, and claim their share in the city of the gods”. But if you not thinking about establish your constant national presence in all archaeological and scientific expeditions at minimum, then you are very bad ruler. This land can contain things that can sink continents , rise undead armies, grant ability to manipulate divine magic, etc.

And can totally crush the alliance and undermine any kind of hardly-earned trust.

@Konig, about the calendar. Btw why did they do that, To match their living story?

If yes, what’s about that a Tyrian day is 3 hours to us (where only 1 hour is the night cycle)? Doesn’t really match our calendar either. What does that 5 days change to Arenanet?
