Its the life force gain when hit. It seems to cost too much of the abilities power when compared to other classes. Or maybe its because ANET seems to think DS is much more useful than it actually is. Either way its pretty obvious this skill could use some changes, hopefully it gets some attention during the pass through stunbreaks.

Everytime i see the 2 devs on a video somewhere they make some kind of mistake about class abilities and stuff. Like how they said rock dog procs from a weapon sigil in a video where they’re EXPLAINING the game.

Before implanting 1n1 , get a fair Balance over the class , and pls fix all the kitten bugs/glitch.

Until they dont fix this , no way to have “E sport” or fair 1n1 match

Umm you have to implement something first before you can balance it. How else will they get feedback… All this conquest balancing (if you can call it that) is probably going to be useless in 1v1 or 3v3 as the objectives and meta are totally different.

Oh yeah 1v1 should just be for fun, to show off, and for other people to watch and learn from.

Its boring when i get downed and have to spend a couple seconds getting beat up on before i can respawn already. Then a 20 second res timer and having to walk back on a class without a lot of swiftness..zzzz.

But even worse is that it makes spectating tournaments totally boring, imo. Isnt a healthbar what the people look at if they dont fully understand the game? It just sort of breaks the suspense because healthbars just pop back up, downed abilities are focused on making people waste their time even more, and everyone is locked into the same no-mobility channeled animation mini-game. We basically have all these skills to kill eachother but the real death comes from some animation shared by each class. How is this exciting exactly? Add in the obvious balance issues this causes because ANET cant design stuff, and i cant say i like it.

Just my opinion, downed wont ever change i think.

I dont really want or need a conversation with you either. I just hope that arenanet takes the hint after 6 pages, obviously many people agree that the mesmer class plays itself and is utterly straightforward, like dogpoo filled with flashy firecrackers if you will, which obviously appeals to a large demographic. Just dont get tubhurt when people that have extensively played a mesmer along with other classes give their opinion on what they percieve as a joke class.

It seems unfair to me how the classes that have downed abilities that are unaffected by stability (thieves, mesmer, ele) also get easy access to stealth, invulnerability or stability that makes stomping much easier. It really bugged me on my engi and my necro they could have designed this with a little more insight and planning.

As it is now, tournaments are commonly accepted as a better indicator of skill, but it gives far less glory than hotjoining. Praise your hotjoin farming overlords.

In hotjoins you play vs randoms and in tournaments you play vs randoms. Your point?

Anyway the graph is fine cause tigers are way better than bears.

Blurred frenzy is the one and only reason a mesmer would enter melee. It offers the damage and risk mitigation to make it worthwhile.

Sounds like mesmers need more reason to go melee then. Also, since when does Blurred Frenzy need to be used in melee? You realise the immunity doesnt have melee range, right? Sounds like we should change that eh.

The only reason to go melee is to go immune. And you wonder why other classes go ‘wtf’.

here anet, i spend 3 min for you to solve your queue problems:
separate solo q and team q tournies w/ independant leaderboards
only join team tourny with a guild, team leaderboard == guild rank leaderboard

probably everyone here will hate this because it seems restrictive, but it will help create “team” atmosphere and gives a reason to be in a guild.

By the way, Mesmer skills aren’t slow in the least.

Playing one i felt like one of those villains from the power rangers, summoning minions instantly out of thin air for 20 minutes, laughing as the good guys fought for their lives, and suddenly disappearing when things got scary every single kitten week over and over.

If you go axe you use a life force build with fury and use DS auto attack instead of axe AA. I find it easy to work around the drawbacks and to make use of the cool stuff. But yes the auto attack of dagger and axe are incomparable and i hope it gets fixed, its a cool weapon otherwise, the problem is you basically just get 2 skills from a MH.

Mesmers dont react to the enemy, the enemy has to react to them.

I dont care that they’re strong 1v1. I’ve played one myself for a long time, and i know how simple it is, using the same combo on each kitten class, and hiding or using ridiculous utility/elite skills in the meantime. So i know what to avoid but its still a total stupid kitten class and to me it embodies the very failure of the pvp in this game. It all the dumb crap in this game rolled into one.

Thiefs always whine for a reason because they are used to being the worst, all those different builds they’ve used were all terrible. Case in point: water staff ele. That kitten was ridiculous in pvp and us thiefs called it. We just have superior knowledge over other classes because we look at them from the shadows all the time. You never see us, so who are you to say we arent underpowered. PS buff necro steal.

Nah its good that it makes the player choose between offense or defense, more skills should work like that. Also the cooldown seems fine.

I pretty much went full dmg with axe/foxus and staff to keep flesh golem up. I went axe to snipe mobs from a langer range instead of getting close and risk pulling more crap. Fury on DS and 30% more minion damage, dont think i ever had any problems levelling anywhere in pve.

Leaching 35 health on a crit at the cost of 20 trait points when focused by multiple people isnt going to help. It seems to me that ArenaNet had to keep the numbers low because of PvE. It does far more good when you can hit a ton of mobs and never eat a stun and have near 100% uptime on your target. But that just doesnt happen in PvP, with our lack of stability and chasing options and such. Only the minion leech one feels like its actually worth something, but then i’d still put it at a duel build at best. They could use a ton of work in scaling, even from power for all i care, and pvp/pve split.

And then you actually get to join a game, and its people dueling, so your ‘teammates’ are standing afk as you get focused by up to 5 people and told to get the f out. Great fun after sitting through 5 loading screens because of the screwed up spectator mode.

Dont even get me started on how much more of a hassle it is to group with a friend now. My gf is the only reason i started this game up again, and its become seriously frustrating to play with her.

Being in a game till the end should always give you a spot in the next match. Theres times where i get forced to spectate because new people fill the game up before the loading screen even finishes.

The only thing the rank 1 tells us, is that you are ranked highest in amount of free time.
For how horrible WoW is, at least the rank 1 means something there. Hell, you did it with a mesmer, so the game basically played itself for you.

Ranger pet can solo a warrior while ranger is downed because necro golems instantly die when they get wet. Something has to balance out the suckage.

You know what? When 2 years have passed and this game isn’t up to where it should be need on E-sport level then I probably still wouldn’t care. However saying spectator mode is bad choice for E-sport? How would you know what E-sport wants unless you work there? If E-sport came on to these forum and said spectator mode sucks skritt rations then yeah it was bad choice, but I would not think that.

He used spectator and found that the conquest mode (ping-pong, bubbleboys, and mindless aoe spam) was not fun to watch as he expected.

New Condition Will Bomb And Here's Why

Ok so seeing as bleeds have an inherent flaw in their design, the stacking limit in pve and ease of cleansing in pvp, i thought this new condition would be a great way to try to do something about both of those issues.

What if the new condition converts your stack of bleeds into a single condition, where the duration depends on the amount of bleed stacks converted. (less stacks to track).
If it gets dispelled it deals the full remaining dmg, maybe even some bonus dmg that scales with power, seeing as even power necros will be passively putting out bleeds and i assume other classes too, making it useful for a wider variety of builds and classes and punishing blind dispel spams.

Call it Bloodletting or something. Gore. Sap. I dno. I guess the game would have to be able to monitor which bleeds belong to who, i dont know if it can right now. But i think this is a good opportunity to try and figure out any possible solution to the awkward bleed limit restriction, and making it more effective damage in pvp.

Idk, don’t other classes pretty commonly blow long CD things for stomps (except stealth stomps).

Pretty sure they dont use 2 stunbreaks lol
