Well, actually a lot of these things are already in the game. That’s why I was trying to say. People who say WvW hasn’t been getting attention are forgetting about WXP and the WvW skills that come along with it. People who ask for updates to sPvP seem to forget that they’ve added three new maps along with all the features like spectator, solo queue, private arenas, etc. People who ask for better champion loot got what they wanted too, much to the chagrin of the non-farming players.
More importantly, people who have been asking for a LFG tool are getting exactly that. It is coming in the update after Super Adventure Box. The best part about it is that it’s not limited to dungeons only. You can use it to find players for open world events or to just group up for whatever reason. I think it’s time we stopped pretending that there have been no changes made to the game.

Question to the people saying they aren’t listening to the community…are you feeling that the forums are the community, or are you thinking of the in-game community? My horror story? You’ll have nightmares, but okay.
I’ve played Guild Wars 2 since launch and once I hit 80, I immediately began buying and tossing rares/exotics into the mystic forge every day. I began throwing in rares/exotics when I had about 1,400 gold so I could buy them off of the TP. I made it my goal to never go below 1,200 gold, and when I hit that mark, I would run CoF part 1 until I recuperated the money I had spent.
So I threw in rares/exotics every single day in the hopes for even a glimpse of a precursor. I must’ve thrown in well over 5,000 rares and over 2,000 exotics into the mystic toilet, and finally, I just said, “Screw it.” I spent all of my 1,400 gold on rares and threw them all into the mystic toilet hoping for a precursor. I didn’t even get a single. decent. exotic. I swear, the best exotic I got was worth about 3 gold. I very nearly broke my laptop in half after I got all that trash.
There is a massive issue when I can throw that much gold into the MF and get a bunch of crap and a laugh or two from the devs.
At the end, I probably threw away about 10,000 rares and 4,000 exotics. And yes, I am very aware that I could have simply “bought” the precursor, but for some reason, I thought the Mystic Forge actually liked me.
This definitely reminded me why I don’t gamble. I’m cursed with never, ever winning and losing everything I have.
I was so peeved in the end though, that I calmly salvaged all of my exotic gear/trinkets from all of my characters, and put everything I earned in the guild bank – I think a noob got 424 of my ectos and he was pretty happy about that. I told my guild that I dumped stacks of tier 6 mats in the bank and I saw like 300 members rush to the LA bank to grab it all haha.

This is so eerily similar to the exact same thing to happen to an ex-guild member of mine. He had the same type of bad luck as you (I don’t think he had quite as much as you though). He would always seem to be in the party with others that got the awesome precursor drops from random mobs, but never him. Never any good drops actually. One day he just said “f- it” and spent every single gold he had trying to forge the precursor for his legendary. He didn’t get anything of any real value at all, got completely peeved, salvaged all his stuff, put it in the guild bank, and quit the game forever. This was around January-ish? He still hasn’t played again.

The problem is ANet suffers from a lack of genre specificity. This game pulls skins from every point on the style spectrum. As a result, there’s a lot of different styles to choose from, but each of those individual styles are generic or have minimal variety. They went for quantity over quality.
Don’t forget buttcapes. They went in for that also.
Makes you wonder if the artists get a bonus if they design buttcapes or floor length skirts, open in the front.
If that’s the case, the armor designers are probably the richest at the company.

Seriously though, there are a ton of items like these on the TP. People list it in the hope that someone doesn’t notice the price. They say it’s not scamming because they paid the listing fee, and you can see the price when you buy it. I still call it scamming, as you’re tricking someone in the hope he/she doesn’t look at the price properly , makes a mistake and presses “buy now” in the assumption that the item will be priced in the same price range as all other items they (quickly) buy as they level up.
To me, that’s not scamming at all. All information is presented. There is nothing hidden. It’s taking advantage of an opportunity if someone wants to give you an opportunity to take advantage of.

The most apparent way to see that stealth is currently broken is how a player can use stealth to leave fights they are losing. Thieves can also insta-gib an enemy without the enemy even knowing there was a fight to begin with.
One of these is tolerable. Both is completely frustrating to play against.

It’s soulbound. Anything green (masterwork) or higher becomes bound to your character when you equip it. You get a message ahead of time warning you.

Ok, so I’m fighting this Ranger in sPvP at the Temple. I get him downed while we are underwater. His pet tries to revive him so I stun him, which doesn’t stop the revive. So I kill the pet. Then I get downed underwater. I’m punching and kicking this guy and all of a sudden his dead pet begins reviving him again (after the skill cooldown is up I would assume). He get’s res’d and I die.
Not only can I not stomp this dude, but his pet can revive him even when both are downed/dead?

altho i do admit underwater the heal can be strong.. the mechanic it self is sound.. it’s hard to have enough time in a normal ground fight to use it.. underwater you stopped the heal with the interrupt and when the timer was up on lick wounds he just reused the skill..
a little note on pets and lick wounds.. if you kill my pet before i use it.. when i use my downed skill lick wounds it will revive my pet instantly.. as so not to deny me my class mechanic if smart players decide pick on my pet just before i die..
That’s a poor justification for having an “Instant win any tie” skill.
we dont win win every tie.. two off the top of my head are necro and warrior.. why?

That is assuming the warrior has a stability utility available after he downs you. Regardless, any good ranger will destroy that warrior before he ever gets a ranger down so the warrior point is moot.
they dont need a utility it’s apart of there downed skill vengeance..
I was playing as a Warrior and I did vengeance, but he was already up. The time tie vengeance was not even in the realm of enough time to re-kill him a second time. When he was up he used his heal skill. So even if I did down him again AND kill his pet, he would just revive again.
A dead pet should NOT be able to heal his owner. That is completely dumb. The amount of healing that skill can do is insane.

Ok, so I’m fighting this Ranger in sPvP at the Temple. I get him downed while we are underwater. His pet tries to revive him so I stun him, which doesn’t stop the revive. So I kill the pet. Then I get downed underwater. I’m punching and kicking this guy and all of a sudden his dead pet begins reviving him again (after the skill cooldown is up I would assume). He get’s res’d and I die.
Not only can I not stomp this dude, but his pet can revive him even when both are downed/dead?

I remember reading a while ago (maybe about 2 months?) that the bug that prevented progress was known and being worked on. Any word on when that will be fixed? Mine is still stuck.

I still cannot find a reason why people play an MMO for farming. In my 1,600h of GW2 I made more than 10,000g and did not grind a dungeon once. Neither Orr.
But however, grats on your first 1,000g! Feels good, right?

If you made all of those into rings, that’s about 200 more gold. With that, lodestones, ecto, and dyes that puts you at about 1600ish. Not counting anything else not shown in the screenshot.
According to what other mats you have, you should still have several hundred left after you craft Twilight. So yeah, you could prolly make Eternity without much more effort.
