Shadow Shot over shadow strikealso has that blind and is unblockable. Great chase down skill. Someone near death and running this kills more often than not.

only teleport part is unblockable

Cynz is right which is wrong usage of shadow shot eventually make yourself killed

I said this kills a fleeing enemy more often than not and such has been my experience. I have rarely died because of it.

You won’t take that lot of time to chase down the bunker unless they all run out of cooldowns and heals. Simply its waste of time and efforts if you facing good players.
They will try to bait you and shooted by shadow shot and dodge to avoid damage.
And you’ll see you have a mark on your head and other zerkers coming to kill you.
And the last point you should remember is good zerkers will never stay alone.
so you can’t have that much offertunity in fair match ups with good players

I’m sorry, I don’t want to sound harsh, but you must have met very bad DHs, Scrappers and Eles.

When I’m playing especially on scrapper, I just melt down ANY thief, the class can’t really face it.

Nah, they were actually really good, my guess is they didn’t expect someone who actaually knows how to play the class.

We got legendary tier thief here

I don’t think that’s what “next” means here…

You aren’t going to make the game worse for your paying customers just to appease a minority of players, who don’t want to learn how to play the game, when you can easily split the changes right?

Who cares? You can afk111111spam and still win in pve. Actualy, chronobunkers and mallyx rev are making ESL pro league beyond boring to watch. They need to do something.

The old ‘who cares spam 1 in pve’ argument, yeah no. Not only is it not true it doesn’t matter. The majority of people who play this game play pve and we play pve to have fun, we are fed up of our classes being made less fun due to the whines of people who care about cringe inducing things like esports.

Quite frankly I honestly think the people who do run around events spamming 1 have a better grasp of the mechanics of the game then the PvPers. At least they are actually playing the game, pvpers just sit on the forums whining that ‘insert which ever class was used in the last tournament here’ is too OP for them to learn how to beat while waiting for a new build to go up on metabattle so they can declare that OP.

I’m sure you’re not refering to the Chrono bunker’s shield 4 skill are you? Only somebody lacking common sense and reasoning would be using that in PVE.

I look forward to personally kicking the first chronomancer I see using shield in pve just like I would do if they’re using scepter.

But of course you weren’t referencing the shield’s 4 skill because that would be insane for somebody to actually be worried about pve balance in relationship to that particular skill which is entirely useless for pve.

This guy doesn’t take a chronotank into raids.
This guy doesn’t take alacrity support Chronos into raids.
This guy doesn’t run around the enemy aoe spam in HoT maps.

Yeah I don’t think anybody wants to group with you in PvE anyway.

Here’s my advise.

Frist, Thief is at the bottom of the food chain.
deal with it.
You can’t win every single 1v1 situation.
It’s true and it will never chaged before balance patch.

And second, so QUIT thief and play other class.
I’m not trying to be bully but to make sure, you need to know every single skills and it’s mechanism.

Even if you mastered thief, there’re some ‘unoutplayable’ profession like druid or chronomancer.(even in teamfights) and if you didn’t know that you will engage and eventually you’ll lie on the cold floor and rally them even your teammates got them.

Glad to hear you’re having fun on thief. They’re really not as bad in the current meta as people say.

You can right click on people’s names in chat to report them for bullying. I think it says abusive chat or something.

Also, unhindered combatant is a really good dodge for dealing with necros. I always take it if the other team has more than one necro because their chill hurts.

Keep having fun on thief! Hone your skills and outplay your opponents to death.

Imagine if thieves were the op profession. Every team would have a couple of thieves. You wouldn’t see any fights. A thief could easily unstealth for 5 seconds, down a visible player stomp then stealth again. Maybe theres a good reason thieves are on the bottom rung.

Its not like old days
Every single profession has reavealed and also has potential of stealth.
And also have enough burst damage to down thief while they are out of stealth.
Thieves now can be counterd without changing profession, and lots of AOE damage is already doing it.
PVP is not like PVE ppl can react against other.
Peoples who pathetically killed and react so poorly is called unskilled player and most ppls are not like them.

and there is no perfect balance but at least should try something, everything.
Balance is just starting from there, if we do nothing just because that something is likely to be OP, then we will struggled in broken states forever because of that cowardness

There is no point for thief is going to be OP
We got plenty of OP class already like DH, Chrono, Druid, Reaper etc
just except for thief and warrior.
So it can actually call balance which you can see everything is already OP

It feels so surreal those are exactly the changes I was asking for. THANKS for the condi buff.
Concerning:
“Inflict X (torment, bleeding, something) when you weaken a foe.”

1. Idea:
How about inflicting burning on weakness Calling the trait Burning Weaknes. ( Just becasue it sounds so cool)

2. idea:
weakened foes recieve x more condition dmg. ( Would go nicely with the whole weakned idea)

3. idea
If you hit a weakened foe ad 1 to each condition stack on your foe

I would like it if there is a choice for condi thief on every trait lvl.

Also I would like to see some changes at the tier 2 traits.
From a condi thief(Pve) perspective there is just nothing worth taking here.

My idea:
Give escapist absolution a secunday trait: If you evade an attack apply x conditions to the targets arround you .

I disagreed with your first idea
thieves don’t have anyother burning conditions, so additional burning stacks won’t make any improve

My thoughts:

Tracked – any skills that would inflict Revealed would now inflict Tracked. The Thief is visible as an outline, but still retains all the benefits of stealth (e.g. health regeneration, condition cleanse, etc. if specced into Shadow Arts). It nullifies the advantage of stealth while not completely countering a mechanic that helps Thieves survive.

Revealed – Only occurs when the Thief attacks from stealth.

Many thieves can’t try on Daredevil, because they have to spend too much traits on steal and forced to use trickery. Steal is just a gap closer without some investments.
However, steal is one of the precious boon supplement, so most of thieves can’t give up on trickery. (Mug from deadly arts is also pretty essential)

And that’s the point where the endless pain begins.
They have to sacrifice some specialization slot, cus they have essential traits that mentioned above.
Btw, thieves are easily focused like every other class cannons.
Dodge can’t save them from ranged focus fire, So they have to choose between killing power and stealth based survivability. (we already know how acrobatics failed)
However, thieves can’t do their role without both.

Some of the traits have to be basis and should gives other benefits of choice.
I hope ‘trickery’ would be more condition focused giving some other benefits while playing condition and hit and run play style.

Daredevil seems P2W-ish?

Daredevil is in no way elite. It’s got some nice options, but it’s impractical since the vigor changes, and due to the fact that other trait lines are mandatory. D/P works better with Shadow Arts. S/D could make good use of the traits there, but it doesn’t add enough punch to allow S/D to compete in terms of burst, and S/D was barely viable without Acrobatics before the vigor change; now it needs that improved vigor, and near 100% up-time to be on par in terms of survivability with itself before the vigor nerf. Our class mechanic is rubbish without building it up with Trickery, S/D needs Acrobatics, that means Trickery/Acrobatics/Daredevil, and that of course is not meta material because you lose the offensive buffs from Deadly Arts or even Critical Strikes. You’re a DPS roamer that has taken three defensive trait lines just to be able to survive enough to perform a role, instead of building for that role.

I do feel quite jelous of mesmer right now. Not only did they get a bunch of their “mandatory” traits made baseline, which we didn’t, they have gotten a very creative elite spec that, most importantly, is great and will definitely be used in PvP meta. Meanwhile thieves are still forced to take Trickery and have this fun looking elite spec which is pointless to use.

Note it looks fun, not cool. Setting practicality and viability aside, it doesn’t compare to the likes of Chronomancer, Reaper, Scrapper or even Tempest in terms of creativity and appearance. We just have a couple of traits which we should have in Acrobatics, and Reckless Dodge made grandmaster because it comes with a new animation.

I’ve been played guild wars 2 for one year
And yes, this isn’t great number but I felt Mordrem invasion is too much different from the others that previously played. And now i depressed

There is no cooperation that guild wars 2 previously seek for.
The invasion time limit is too tight so people just don’t have time for save each other. And with that matter, even 10 stacks were really hard to make so lots of people gave up to stick in one place and begin to tag and run during the invasion.
But oddly it’s the only way to get 20 stacks.

Now I felt the best hero of tyria became a fraud for deceiving guards and abandon his/her ally.
