In Fractals I’ve never had an issue with being a necro. A lot of people actually were happy I was there for the mobs (My experience also helps tbf and my willingness to change uts around depending on the situation)

I’d love bone fiends for the dps.. but maybe spirit bone fiends like the arch divner in fractals.. or shadow fiends and let them blind so we can do more chill

People need to learn that Ascended armour is only! good for high level fractals.. Everything else… Exotic is perfect. Wvw, dungeons, open world.. Hell even low level fracs are ok cos you can get ascended accessories easier n quicker which gives you enoough AR to get through time.. If you plan to do high level fractals.. you have time to craft them as you level up through fractals. (fractal levels not XP levels)

We debuff our enemies thats our support.. everyone cries that we dont give stab or might… well not everyone gives stab and according to everyone… everyone gives might.. so why would necro need to give might if everyone is giving it and it caps at 25..
kitten that id rather give the debuffs out.. the only thing we was lacking was more dps.. and with the gs .. we have it
However… that being said.. we could very well do with a combo blast finisher to help those who can create fields for might.

Not a nerf.. It’s actually a big boost for necros.. whats the worse thing for a melee? mobs running away.. this way the enemy slowly runs away AND has longer cooldowns on their powers.. while still being in melee range to do damage.
Plus.. who said you HAD to go into the reaper spec? No one… you can still be your old self and fight as you do now inc having fear without chill..

We debuff our enemies to support our team.. that’s how we buff them.. we dont need to give boons to be effective… daze.. blinds in mobs are powerful kitten.
Mobility.. yes we have some issues i’ll admit and stab is a problem at times 2 when our debuffs are on cooldowns.

… I don’t know… to the surprise of a lot of people im loving blood magic atm despite it being kinda underpowering.. (still waiting for tht to be buffed haha) and death magic will be a line ill take now it seems.. so prop spite will do bye bye shame cos the signet mastery is epic

Putrid Defence – take 10% less damage from poisoned foes..
death nova.. minions die in a cloud of poison.. we’ll get to summon up to 5 in melee range.
that’s just 3 traits that could make necro quite… powerful.

I run assassins Armour with chest n leggs being knights and accessories and ring are PTV with backpiece n amulet as besk.. its not the most dps but it is suited for my needs inc fracts.
I use ofc axe/warhorn and axe/dagger mostly with focus when i know a boss will be boon heavy,

Flesh of the master – good
Shroud of removal – should be 2 imho
Putrid Defense – nice trait – don’t reduce it 10% is good. if you have to lower it.. change it to 8% no lower or its pointless to take but 10 is best really

Necromantic Corruption Good trait
Unholy sanctuary Increase the dam heal seriously.. 130! pathetic.. 500? max considering it has a 1 ICD.. then people will have more of a reason to get you out of DS and necros trying to keep it up.

Full life ok
Vampric – INCREASE the dam siphon HEAL.. 36.. please! 50!! (considering Bloodthirst buffs this) .. minions .. good heal return considering how many you can have and this is not OP but a nice trait to have for a necro… trust.. vampric is crap as it is.
Blood to power – it;s okay i guess
Ritual of life – GOOD change
Bloodthirst no change
Mark of evasion – it’s okay… but no one really takes this trait considering there’s better ones.. considering there’s Bloodthirst*
Quickening thirst – Good
Vampiric Precision as long as Bloodthirst affects this this is good.. otherwise if BT doesn’t.. increase heal to 50
Transfusion considering this is a master trait- the healing sucks.. again 500 max.. anymore its OP too less and it’s pointless considering what we got.. this means we can either be VP for ourselves or more team support..
Vampiric Rituals should offer protection while IN the wells.. this will make the enemy aim to get you out of the wells while giving you move protection (in general) over time.
the dps healing n rech is good
Unholy Martyr Change to 2 second interval or keep at 3 but increase target from 1 -2 conditions transferred.. okay
Deathly Invigoration – okay you say the modifier has been increased so i await to see ACTUAL numbers before i judge the healing aspect.. but this shouldn’t be a grandmaster tbh.. even if it was to heal for 1-1.5k every 10 seconds.. thats not much for a grandmaster… considering it doesnt affect necros at all.. 3-5k would make it powerful for ally support.. Radius is a good increase.
SOUL REAPING
Gluttony / Last grasp = good, no change / Strength of undeath – change this to 10%
Unyielding blast no change
soul marks no change
speed of shadows very nice change
Spectral mastery good change
Vital Persisience excellent change
Master of terror – good change
*Foot in the grave – no change (tho 4 secs would be nice lol)

Dhuumfire removing the ICD was smart move this now at least makes it an option to take

My two cents.. would be
LONG POST.
I typed this as i went through the necro talk on the Ready up.
Axe range increased to 800 .. it’s the only dps ranged weapon we have (staff is very much more condi then power) so a slight increase in range helps us considering our ults etc have longer range.
Dagger MH – no change / Dagger OH – no change
Scepter – no change
Staff – Change Putrid mark so when it’s placed (NOT triggered) it can be a combo blast or just remove it cos it’s useless other wise.. (yes in actual combat is useless as a combo blast)
Focus – no change
Warhorn… I feel like we need to have #4 skill a blast finisher.. this makes us more useful in pve/wvw without breaking anything. and would also work really well with our wells.. yer their dark.. but solo/pvp they can be quite a good ability for us, but at the same time im not 100% a blast finisher would solve this… as mentioned above another ability that is more necro would be good.. like siphon healing.. not just to us but also the group (360 radius) this makes siphon really good and not OP)
Even though minions are not good high level due to the not so great AI and the fact we cant fully continue our pets – Blood fiend.. needs it’s healing increased.. cos its still terrible
Considering it only lasts 6 seconds – get rid of the (active) ICD of Signet of vampirism .. passive is ok
Our wells.. needs about 5 seconds reduce in recharge (10 i’d like but i think but be abit OP )
Signets need about somewhere between 5-10 seconds reduced recharge. depending on what signet and its effects…Signet of the Undeath needs to be reduced about 20 imho.
The rest of our Ults are okay in my mind.
now for traits – going off the currently changed powers thats been announced
SPITE
Spiteful renewal – Good / Death’s Embrace – Good / Siphoned power – good
Spiteful Talisman should be 10% imho considering some bosses spawn boons as soon as you get rid of them.. even with focus.. plus this will be a nice dps boost for the necros.
Reaper’s Might – no change
Bitter chill – good
Chill of death – no change
Death shiver – imho change it so it’s 2 second interval but reduce the stack to 4 or 5 (10s duration is good) this makes it quite powerful but not op considering in wvw/pvp condi removal is common.. in pve.. with bosses the stack normally caps fast anyway and with the up coming increase in stacks,. makes no difference
Axe training – Good (personally i’d love the animation to be 1/2 second on axe 1 but that could be op xD)
Signet Mastery – Really nice
Close of Death – no change
Unholy Feat – change the CD from 15 to 10 or just get rid of the ICD considering DS already HAS a 10 CD.. why add an extra pointless 5 seconds
CURSES
barbed Precision – ok / Furious Demise – no change / Target the weak – ok
Toxic Landing – .. I dont like the idea of self weakness as soon as you fall.. the other professions dont have this kind of thin (as far as im aware) so either get rid of it.. or have 2 powers… one with SW as a ult and another just for this trait..
Enfeebling Blood – Get rid of the ICD considering again – DS has 10 CD.. bleeding becomes 10 seconds of duration not 12.. weakness becomes 5 seconds. If not keep the bleeding n weakness at 12 n 6 but reduce the trait to 15 considering dagger recharge will now affect it.
Chilling Darkness – no change
Reaper’s precision – just get rid of this useless power… 33% chance – ok… 1% .. pointless… considering it’s a master… this is best a minor if anything
Path of Corruption – good
Banshee’s wail no change
Lingering curse – good change
Parasitic Contagion – good buff.
Terror Good change – condi with terrormancer was op tbf

Seriously people… facepalm Stuff like that happens all the time.. what should we now be offended that other people can still fly ? or what next… people get offended cos our characters can run and walk and some people in the world cannot due to not having legs or just unable to walk..
Im sorry for peoples lose.. that crash was a terrible thing and the families now have to deal with the outcome of it… But today AF is just light hearted fun… I don’t except to see you lot having a go at a kid who makes those noises and fly around and so i dont expect the same here,

Once you know how to play the game this boon can be easily countered in pvp and wvw.
This boon in wvw zerg means nothing.. and in wvw solo and pvp is fine. .. at best it just extends the battle for x more seconds till it is converted or finishes.
If your going to moan about this boon which can be dealt with why not moan about the boons that cancel all damage for x seconds?
In PvP it’s your job to build something that can face any profession.. if you can’t think of a build to combat the new boon.. that’s your issue but for me i wont have any issue against this boon. – Necromancer – 2 sometimes 3 boon strips.. BOOM! and yes it can be dodged.. but that’s down to me being skillful.
Edit Plus I bet if your profession gets this new boon – you won’t be moaning then.

Blood is power, our speed signet and either well of suffering or our rez power.
As long as you watch her animation. You can dodge most of her attacks no problem.
with the cannons.. they are very easy… basically… DONT MOVE..seriously… don’t move till you get a red circle around you and then move outside it.. ofc plan where you roughly will go and try not to get boxed in.
stealth can work but i rarely use it.. the one thing I DO USE is.. dodge/endurance food… 40% endurance refill boost is very handy for the whole fight… I try to be away from others to limit the circles and normally pan out to an almost birds eye view.
also on other notes…. don’t type during the cannon phase… stupid to say.. but people do it.. and die.
Don’t rez either… though it’s a personal choice…I find most of the time the circles hit too fast to rez.

I would defiantly support more “F” 2 3 4 etc buttons.
It would give us a more support role in the parties while remaining “Necromancers” .. As long as they don’t do “Dark fields” or and “Blinds”
There are loads of ways a necro can remain necro while offering stuff like protection, reflects maybe fury and go as far as stab (tho stab for me isnt really a must have.. Ill be more happy with reflects and protection.

15 Laurels is waaaay to much as a reward
1 laurel per map is however a GREAT idea.. 2 max! for higher level maps/bigger maps. The rewards we do get now are quite kittenty tbf for the time invested.. but adding a laurel would make it better rewarded at least.
however.. spending laurels to unlock maps.. NOT a good idea either.
