1. Race: Norn
Gender: Male
Issue: Accessory in new hairstyle stays one color
2. Race: Norn
Gender: Female
Armor: Body of Koda
Issue: Clips with weapons such as longbow and shield, but also clips through itself at left leg.
3. Weapon: Kodanroar
Issue: Apparently this warhorn clips right through the leg

Might be a bit off topic, but if they were to ever introduce mounts in this game, the Charr would totally get motorcycles.
Race: Human
Gender: FemaleIssue: Black Feather Wings and shield interaction.
Armor: Reading Glasses, Luminescent top/shoulders/legs/gloves/shoes, Diamond Aegis Shield, Glyphic MaceAs you can see in the screenshot, the wings attach themselves to the shield when it is drawn.
This seems to happen with all back items when drawing shield.
So I’m all for these silkworm colonies and all but what gathering tool would we use? Would we be using one of the pre-existing ones like the harvesting tool or would we getting a new one altogether?
Will we be able to play as a Revenant during this beta?
Limited time items are so lame…
IKR? I missed out on Scarlet’s shoulder and glove skins recently cuz my laptop was being repaired.
Since I got my laptop repaired, my game has been running at around 28 fps at most. It’s not much compared to what everyone else gets but it works.
Race… not sure. Would go Sylvari, but only if the games rules still apply (like in the anime Log Horizon) : Players dun get corrupted by le evil dragon. Profession – Necromancer, no questions asked. As for what to do… again it depends on how the rules in said reality work. Do they work like in Log Horizon?`Then I’ll be off exploring and fighting monsters and bandits. No need to worry about memory-loss, either because in GW2 you do not lose experiance when dying but your armor gets damaged. Do they work like in SAO? I would propably stay around areas where i know there won’t be a random elite/champion / world boss appearing and hunt monsters and animals for food and mats n’ stuff.
I’m assuming we’re going by Log Horizon rules cuz I’m not a fan of SAO. As for what race/profession I’d be, if I had to pick one I have to go with my main toon, a Norn Guardian, but ideally I’d like to be able to play as my alts too, either by switching between them or having them all exist simultaneously
So here’s the thing, I got the Invite for the upcoming beta test and it’s great and all, but unfortunately, my computer’s hard drive crashed and it won’t be repaired in time for the beta. So I was wondering if there will be more tests in the future or am I out of luck in that regard?
It seems everyone’s toons are spouting random dialogue. mostly it’s a female charr saying “Yarr” over and over again
EDIT: Due to new information, please disregard my earlier statement, as I have been working towards Defender of Ascalon title in GW1 and have not been able to access all the features in that game.

When I first played this game, I made a norn guardian, and one of the first things I noticed while playing a norn was when you click on a pc or npc, his head will turn to look at them and I thought that was a neat little feature.
However, when I made my second toon, a human mesmer, I noticed that this feature wasn’t present with the human characters, or any of the other toons except for norns (I haven’t made an Asura, but I’m going to assume that they can’t turn their heads either.) So I’d like to know if this is a bug, and if it is, any chance it might be fixed before xpac comes out?
(I’m also assuming this is one of those day-one bugs and probably won’t be fixed anytime soon, but I thought I’d bring this up.)
1. Race: Presumably all
Class: Warrior, Guardian, Engineer
Issue: Backpieces jump onto left arm when you draw/put away shields, then jumping back onto toon’s back a second later
2. Armor: Heritage Legplates
Issue: Strange dark red coloring underneath metal parts of leggings
3. Gender: Female
Armor: Carapace/Luminescent pants
Issue: Very tip of pants curves to the right when running (wasn’t really sure if this was a bug or not, just thought it was worth mentioning)
Here’s my mesmer; Chihaya Horikita
She and her parents fled Cantha when she was really young and ended up in DR. During her childhood she grew up in a strict environment which, despite her parent’s wishes, is what ultimately led to her becoming an acolyte of Lyssa, and an adventurer. As a Magister of the Durmond Priory, she often heads up archeological digs at various ruins throughout Tyria, with recent digs happening in the Silverwastes. She also likes to spend her quiet time reading books and/or napping (cuz she can!)
So I get that the Asian countries don’t like their cultures all blended together but what about this; If/when we get Cantha in the future, and excuse my ignorance of Asian politics, instead of blending them together they are put in separate areas in Cantha (ex. Chinese-themed area, Japanese-themed area, Korean-themed, etc.). Would that be satisfactory or would they not like having their stuff being next to each other?
First off, I didn’t know you could skip PS and go straight to LS (kinda assumed you had to complete one in order to do the other). Second, unless you are the original PS and not the new one, you should head to Arah next cuz that’s where you would go now in PS
I was thinking that they could make armor skins based on dragon champions, kinda like the Shadow of the Dragon armor skins but with the Shatterer, Claw, and Tequatl (maybe the Great Destroyer too). Also the skins would look different depending on your armor type like the Carapace/Luminescent armor.
I’m gonna go with an Asura, as that is the only race I haven’t played yet.
I use a wolf and hawk (named Talbot and Airazor respectively), and a shark and blue jellyfish.
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Armor: Carapace/Luminescence Gloves
There is a thin red line along the wrist on the right hand glove
Kinda wonder if the trailer is gonna stick around after the 24th or not, otherwise it might be weird for someone seeing it in, let’s say, February or later
It only overheated once in the Silverwastes about a month ago, but this also happened during Hidden Arcana as well while in Glint’s Lair.
My laptop keeps shutting down on me during the first trial in Arcana Obscura. It has happened to my guardian twice on Tuesday and it has happened to me three times now today. Anyone else having this problem?
(edited by Headcase.4618)
My favorites are Corrupted Artifact, Tempest Focus, and Chimeric Prism Focus
I have a few
1. Armor: Vigil’s Honor Breastplate
Issue: weird void hidden on arms
2. Race: Human
Gender: Female
Armor: Sorcerer’s Pants
Issue: central piece stretches outward on bottom when certain weapons are drawn (such as sword and GS)
3. Race: Norn
Gender: Male
Armor: Carapace/Luminescent Pauldrons
Issue: Shoulder armor clips through bulky Norn body (others, such as Glorious Shoulderguards and Conqueror’s Mantle suffer similar issues)
Asura
Short answer: None of the current classes either fit or are way too obvious
Long answer: When making a new character I often try to match up a certain race to a class that would work best for them, whether it be their lore (Charr Engineer cuz industrial revolution) or it just looks cool (Norn Guardian = big, bad-kitten hero) or both. Asura on the other hand, I can’t decide what class to give them that would fit under either of the above reasons. I thought Ele at first, but that would be too obvious and I also follow a rule of not making my pc the same class as their mentor. I considered necro, but then I decided I want a human necro cuz Shadow of Grenth back item (if that’s not a dumb reason, then I don’t know what is).
I’d personally make a reptilian race. Like an evolutionary offshoot of the Forgotten, but are more like lizards than snakes.
Some of the chapter 8 steps were moved to chapter 7, which is why they’re now L70. The game scripts check to see which steps you’ve done, so you don’t have to duplicate steps. Normally, “Victory or Death” might be next, but you never completed “Against the Corruption” so you’ll have to complete it (and any followup steps) before it puts you on the final step. It’s a little odd to go back to L70 steps, but we didn’t want players who were already on Chapter 8 when the steps got moved around to miss any content.
While we are on the subject of story steps, do you happen to know if there has been any progress in restoring the Greatest Fear story arc that was removed for anyone who wasn’t already on it before the September patch hit?
All I can say is that this whole thing makes it really hard for me to recommend this to new players because this is what they’re gonna be dealing with once they get to that point in the PS.
7/10
So I know I posted here a before but I changed my ranger’s name (Craolgair) a while ago to something more pronounceable and is now named Daoir (da-HEER). It means “strong oak” according to this list of Gaelic names I found online
This glitch effects all the Kodan models, and I have posted about this multiple times. Other models such as the Jotun and lich form had this problem too but they got fixed, so I’m surprised the Kodan are still experiencing this issue.
*Bumping thread
Race: Kodan
Issue: Character model rigging error
even though this issue was resolved with the Jotun and other character models, the Kodan are still showing the “spikes” on their hands.
If we’re going with the district idea, I’d look into seeing if I can add a Canthan district, like the one DR had in beta (except less accidentally offensive of course).
The Kodan mobs are experiencing some kind of rigging error in their character models that is causing their thumbs to stretch out and look like spikes, similar to the rigging error the Jotun and Lich form, and Bjarl the Rampager had. I know others have posted similar issues with other character models before and I hope you will get to resolving this issue as soon as possible
Thank you
Bumping
I noticed that the spikes issue has been resolved for the Jotun mobs and Lich form, though the Kodan are still having that issue
During the events “Defend Lorela from dredge while she gathers griffon eggs” and “Drive off the dredge from Korakatt’s Hall” in Lornar’s Pass, the Dredge’s dialog seems to be set on mute for some reason
Race: Kodan
Issue: error in rig causing weird stretching in the thumb area, similar to Jotun and Lich form
At first I thought this is was just in the Lost Heirloom chapter of the Norn PS where one Kodan, Followed by Night, had her thumbs stretching out behind her. Turns out the other Kodan are showing this as well. Here are some screens to show you what I am talking about. I hope you can fix this soon cuz personally, it is really weirding me out.
Thank you
Right now, all I’m hoping for is that this feature pack fixes the issues that came out of the last one (such as the transmutation bug from the wardrobe), or at least doesn’t add new ones.
1. Margonites
They look and sound very interesting even though I don’t know if their wings will be used a lot, if at all, among issues.
2. The new reptilian race/“Draken” as someone on the thread called them
I also thought they could add a reptilian-like race, maybe they’d look like monster tortoises and the lore could be that they’re a hidden race of beings that awaken sometime after the EDs wake up to try and preserve as many life-forms as they can before the EDs destroy everything (unless there is already a race like that)
3. Tengu
These guys seem the most likely to be the new race to be added to the game, and if so, I’d be okay with that.
This is true, however it seems to me like a waste of transmutation charges to switch between the skin you want and the ascended item skin. Besides, no one is saying you have to use the ascended spineguards, I’m just saying the option to use them the same way some would use the crafted armor and weapons would be nice is all.
What I meant by “blank slate” is that since the Spineguards are not visible whether or not you have back items hidden is that you could slap on whatever skin you wanted without feeling like you ruined it, and an ascended spineguard would be the same thing, a literal blank slate to put whatever you want on it
Say you have a back item skin such as the Decorative Molten Jetpack Skin equipped to one of those generic back items, or Spineguards, and you want to make an ascended back item but don’t want to give up the current back item you have on. Some would tell you you could just slap the skin onto the ascended back item, but for others that would seen like a waste to create something like Dynamic Tempered Spinal Blades just to cover it with, say King Toad’s Backpack (Not to mention there’s that whole transmuted item name issue that just makes it more weird). So I was thinking what might help is that we were able to upgrade the exotic-level spineguards, such as the ones you get from the Karma vendors at the Temple events, into ascended-level spineguards through the mystic forge, the same way you can upgrade the Sclerite Karka Shell into an ascended back item. That way you could have an ascended back item that is essentially a blank slate for you to put whatever back item you want on it and you won’t feel weird about making Shadow of Grenth just to slap Desert Rose Skin on top of it.
TL;DR Make exotic-level spineguards upgrade-able to Ascended-level
Thoughts?
That’s kinda true, although technically the blades came from Scarlet’s machines not strictly asuran technology.
I was thinking, since the humans have three ascended back items (Wings of Dwayna, Shadow of Grenth, & Chaos of Lyssa) anyone else think the other races should get their own ascended back items as well?
Just a thought
Here is my Guardian and Mesmer. My guardian is mostly wearing ascended armor with Radiant Vambraces and AC Shoulder, and memser has;
Head – Mind of Koda
Chest – Incarnate vest
Shoulder – Exalted
Gloves – Feathered
Legs – Human light cultural T3
Boots – Winged
I do appreciate they added a ponytail and all, but does anyone else think the placement is a bit odd?

Maybe I’m being to nit-picky about it but I feel like the ponytail should be lower than where it is, like just below the center of the head you know what I’m saying?
